Learn To Live Without

Your P.O.V.
Sorry for the bad photo, I hope you enjoy this chapter cereal box!!!

As his hands roll down your waist and end with your hips, you pull away softly, looking into his beautiful eyes. He smiles weakly before he takes a step back. His white teeth show themselves, he laughs without making a single noise, thinking about the other people in the hospital.

You chuckle as you walk away from the wall your boyfriend pushed you against. You rub your clothes, as though everyone will see that the two of you have kisses if you wouldn't. Jack smiles again, waiting for his love to be ready. Once you are done with getting the kiss off your shirt, you take his hand, still a bit unsure what the day will bring.

Your fingers wrap around his hand and the two of you continue heading towards the coffee machine, still a bit startled of earlier. He looks around, finding himself lost in the maze of white hallways.

'Sean,' you whisper and Jack immediately looks at you, with his big and wide eyes. You smile as he makes a funny faze. Your smile echo's through the building, leading you the way to hot tea and coffee.

'Yeah cookie,' he responds, using your nickname he has chosen for you. You find a soft smile creep up your lips as he calls you cookie, a nickname you always dreamed about having. Any nickname, any stupid pet name, he could let it sound like the most important name in the entire universe.

'We had to go left, earlier,' you say, chuckling softly. Jack decided to walk to the right, thinking that there is where the coffee machine hides. You didn't stop him, finding it funny how his eyes would scan the whole area in only seconds.

'But why didn't you tell miiii,' he laughs as he pulls that cute, adorable accent he has. You laugh again, pulling him softly to the right direction. He follows you, not caring about the fact that you are smarter than he when it comes to hospitals.

'They should make a map or something,' he says, still following you. You laugh again, hearing the Irishman complain. He walks slowly behind you, making you believe that he has had enough of The Grand Tour: Lost in the Hospital.

You continue guiding, he continues complaining. At a certain time he doesn't even try to get his feet off the ground and his shoes scuffle over the floor. Being the little child he is he starts pulling on your arms, not wanting to walk any further.

'Mommy I'm tired!' he complains again, making you laugh softly. Mommy you think, daydreaming about how you will grow old and maybe have children with the love of your life. And you believe that you already know who that is, starring at your Green Tea

'You'll get a cup of coffee when we finally find that machine!' you answer, laughing at yourself considering how stupid your role-play is. Jack laughs too, clapping his hands at the sound of coffee.

'But mommy, I don't like coffee!' Jack smiles, lying at you. You know how much he likes coffee, and how energetic it makes him. That if he drinks too much he'll jump around the hospital twice and still not be tired.

'But you like those cookies, don't ya Billy?' you answer, with a sweet tone in your voice. Jack freezes, making you realise you just made a horrible mistake. You called him Billy, and you know how he gets when he hears that-

'Screw Billy, my name is Jerald!' he softly screams, not wanting to disturb too much people. You laugh again, as his very pitchy voice starts to sing a random melody with the only song text being: Screw you Billy, Screw Screw Screw you Billy!'

'Jerald, as in the pumpkin?' you laugh, as also Jack notices his funny mistake. He laughs again, harder this time. You laugh too, filling the hallway with the sound of Joy and the feeling of happiness, something most of these people have learned to live without, have HAD to learn to live without. You walk further into the maze of hallways, hoping to find that coffee machine within the following hour; otherwise your friends will think you have been kidnapped.

'Noooooo,' he says, making you laugh again. You find yourself approaching some candy machines, yet there is no tea or other hot drinks in sight. You look around; trying to find the energy drinks that will have to keep you awake these following hours.

'I can't find the machine for coffee!' you say, letting your gaze travel the entire place you are standing in. You find candy, sandwiches and all other eatable things, but no drinks. Not even something simple as Coca Cola or Pepsi.

'We're doomed!' Jack says, letting your lips spit out another laugh. Jack looks at you proudly, watching your eyes full with joy. After several seconds, you stop laughing, actually looking for the machine this time. You can't wait here for eternity and not give your friends their well deserved cup a coffee.

'Yes! Without coffee I'll look a lot worse in the-,' your sentence is shortened as your hands grab your head, which is beating like crazy. Your sight blurs, and as you try to blink it only becomes more of a blur.

You start to feel dizzy, not long after the sharp pain penetrates your body. You scream in pure agony, the pain rising to the level of unbearable fire spreading across your veins. You search for air, though it seems this entire hospital has been drained from it.

Your lips open and close, you trying to say anything at all, trying to call for help, but the sickness has already captured your voice. You hear Jack what is wrong, but he sounds so far away, too far to see, too far to even notice his present but close enough to know he's there.

A warm liquid flees your mouth, dropping from your chin towards the ground. You try to catch the drips, finding your hands returning to your gaze as red dots. You scream in fear, realizing what is happening. Realizing the danger you could be for everyone.

You cough, giving the blood a change to spread across the hallway. The red blood flies through the air, almost hitting the wall on the other side of the room. You lean towards the other wall, smearing your red hands across the perfectly white background.

Jack wants to help you but you scream that he has to go, get as far away from you as possible. You don't want to infect him too. You tell him to run, to hide from the sickness for it could haunt him down and make him one of his slaves too. And Jack couldn't live with that sickness; his little heart couldn't bare the horrid future that will wait for him.

'I promise I'd never leave you!' he says, trying to wrap one arm around your waist to help you remain standing. You shake your head no, but he ignores you as he so stubbornly believes he can help. That he can make it all stop, that he can shake his wand and it will be alright.

You cough blood again, this time towards him. Luckily he is fast enough to outrun the bacteria. As the blood forms a red spot on the floor, he backs off slightly, his eyes wide in terror. Multiple people around you have realised what has happened and ran for their lives, something you can understand.

As no one is standing in the hallway except you and Jack, you try to tell him to run again, that he as to run fast, faster than he ever ran. But he doesn't listen. Your body betrays you as you fall to your knees, two hands on your head, softly sobbing, hoping the pain will leave with the tears.

You spread your blood over the floor again, feeling bad for whoever has to clean your mess up. If you could, you would do it yourself. But you guess you're not going to be able to. As you look up, hoping that your boyfriend is standing there, you scream at him: 'Go!'

Your vision had turned black, unable to see your surrounding you try to use anything else that will help you find your boyfriend. You outstretch your arms, hoping to find his legs, only to remind yourself that it may hurt him.

You stop moving, afraid to approach your Jackeboy. You throw up the food you had with dinner tonight, the fancy drinks and delicious meals. You gag loudly, feeling another wave of blood run through your body. You call to the green head you can't see, to run, once more hoping to get to him.

'Wait here, I'll get help!' Jack screams, before realizing there is nowhere you can go or any possibility that you could even move the slightest. You try to yell at him, hearing his footsteps quicken. 'Please-' you find yourself without air, feeling your lungs flatten 'don't.'
