ALISHA'S P.O.V.

You know how they always say "All things must come to an end"? I have never felt more connected to that saying in my life than right now.

The good thing that came to an end was the blast if a weekend I had with Anne, Alessia bad the boys but unfortunately for us,  today was Monday which meant school.

Jayden and I were sitting in Biology class and as usual he  was asleep during most of it. The final bell rang and everyone else bolted. Leaving us behind.

I pinched Jayden to wake him up.
"Ow!" he flinched.
I chuckled.

"What in the hell did you do that for?" He scowled, feigning annoyance and I smiled.

"School's over, Sleepyhead." I mused with a smile on my face.

He raised his head up from the desk and stretched,  giving me a very nice view if his already tempting body in his tight white T-shirt that left little to the imagination.

"Like what to you see?" he teased and winked.
I opened my mouth and closed it again in lack of what to say.  He had just caught me drooling over and ogling him.

There was nothing I could say after the stupid heat kept creeping up my cheeks but I had to maintain my dignity.

"Not even by a long shot, hotshot." I said and an evil smirk found its way to his very handsome face.

He got up from his seat and stalked toward me and I, moving back.
Eventually,  I was trapped and he was still smirking.

Dear God, why?...

To my surprise, he didn't do anything.
He reached for my bag which was hanging on my shoulder and hung it on his.

"I'll get my revenge later." He whispered as he leaned in to speak into my ear in an evil tone, then carried his bag and dragged me along to the parking lot.

When we got to the parking lot, for the first time ever, Anne and Alessia were waiting for us instead of the other way around.

We smiled and walked over to them, my hand still in his.

"My cousin is coming. She said she wants to meet you. Her college isn't far and she really wants to meet you guys.  Is that okay?" She mused.

"Sure."Jayden shrugged.
"I'm okay with it." Alessia said.
"So am I." I shrugged.

She smiled and I could tell that she really loved her cousin so much and from what I gathered using everything I've heard about her cousin, she loves her too. Just as much.

"She's just around the corner. I'll tell her to come to the parking lot." she informed and we all smiled.

We saw her come out form the corner of the building. She was beautiful.

She was skinny but not too skinny, she wasn't curvy either. She was just moderate.
She had shiny blonde hair and steely grey eyes. Very prominent cheek bones.

She was equally tall. Taller than me by a few inches. Fair smooth skin and slender pink lips.

I couldn't help but admire her as she walked toward us.  There was a glint of live in her eyes as she looked at Anne but when her eyes zeroed in on me, something scary— almost murderous in her eyes.

As she looked at Jayden, something else shine in her eyes but as quickly as it came,  it left. Which kind of made me wonder if she knew him,  but I decided to shrug it off.

She couldn't possibly know him. If he did know her, he would told me.... Right?

Then when her eyes found my hand in Jayden's, I couldn't read what was in them and as I turned to look at Jayden,  his face was frozen. Like he had seen a ghost and his grip on my hand had multiplied by a hundred.

JAYDEN'S P.O.V.

The universe has a really sick way of messing with people.  Here I am trying to get away from my past and here it— she  is stalking toward us in the parking lot.

Susan was walking toward us.  Anne said her cousin wanted to see us and was around the corner.

This had to be a coincidence, Susan  couldn't be Anne's cousin that we've heard so much about. They didn't even have the same last name.

I mean Anne Clover and Susan Hearth.

I never even knew she had a cousin to begin with. As my cruel fate would have it,  she was walking toward us.

Why Lord? Why?

As she reached us,  Alisha waved a hand in front of my face. I had been squeezing her hand extra hard.

I quickly released my grip and have her a small smile to tell her that I was okay while on the inside, I was freaking the fuck out.

She couldn't come back to my life again. She could never come back in it again. She had almost ruined me before along with all the things that happened that year.

ALESSIA'S P.O.V.

We saw Susan for the first time and she was hot.  She didn't look anything like Anne. They didn't even have the same last name and she seemed like someone that would do anything to get what they wanted.

I also noticed that she was looking at Jayden most of the while she talked to us. Her eyes were glued on him and his on her.

Am I missing something here?...

Jayden's face had paled, like he saw the ghost of his great great grandma dancing in place of Susan.

There had to be something between them. Maybe they knew each other before Jayden met Alisha.

Anne did say that she moved here from Jayden's old town, so it was highly possible.

If they did know each other it made me wonder what kind if relationship they actually had.

I guess I'd just have to find out....

Alisha suggested that since this was the first time we were meeting Susan, we should go out.

We went to the McDonald's that was near the school for a quick lunch and small talk.

Guess what... The staring didn't stop. At least not firm her side. I noticed Jayden was keeping his eyes trained on my sister or their intertwined fingers.

I'm thinking  spirit of getting to know each other,  Alisha invited Susan home. Jayden tried to argue by saying that tomorrow was a school day and all that shit but  to no avail. Ergo,  when we left McDonald's, he reluctantly dropped us off at home.

I really needed to speak with Jayden concerning what I saw today but I couldn't do it in front of Alisha.  So it would have to be another time. If my thoughts were wrong, which they almost never were, I didn't want to give Alisha any ideas without confirming first.

ANNE'S P.O.V.

They finally got to meet Susan. I for one was actually surprised when she texted me that she was near the school.

She said she didn't have any classes so she felt like seeing me and my friends. Ever since the weekend, she had been particular about meeting them, especially Alisha.

So when she told me that she was near the parking lot,  I thought,  why the hell not?

She and Alisha seemed to hit it off right away.  Why wouldn't they?

These were two of the most amazing human beings I had ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life so it was natural that they get along.

Something was off about Jayden when Susan was there. His face paled and he was focusing everywhere but Susan.

I didn't think they knew each other. If they did know each other,  why would they act like totally strangers?

SUSAN'S P.O.V.

I texted Anne and told her that I was near her school. I didn't have any lectures for the rest of the day and I needed to meet this Alisha so why not?

It was so convenient that Jayden went to the same school that Anne did. Saved me the stress of tracking him down.

As soon as I saw Anne and her group of friends,  I walked over to them.

They offered me warm smiles, nods and hugs.

There were two girls aside Anne and then there was Jayden.

The two girls looked insanely alike. The difference between them being height and eye color, other than that, they were the same. One was taller,  one was shorter. The  taller one had green eyes and the shorter one had brown eyes.

The girl with green eyes, whom I now know was Alisha,  was really nice and smiled and all. I could see the reason why Anne liked her so much and why Jayden loved her so much.

Speaking of Jayden,  when I got there he was smiling but his face fell immediately he set eye on me.

He didn't know Anne was my cousin. During the time we were together,  I never let her meet him nor him meet her. He didn't even know I had a cousin because I wanted to keep it that way.

She wouldn't support what I was doing with his feelings so I thought it was best to keep the two as far away as possible.

She was just too good for her own good and that's exactly why I loved her. She was innocent and kind.

I on the other hand, there were only few things that n this world that I cared about. Anne,  my parents and most importantly, myself.

I mean, If I didn't love me, then who would?

That's just the simple logic of my life. Yourself before others.

She invited Anne and I home. She was really the definition of cute but she was also the definition of clueless.

I mean as naive as Anne is, even I could tell that she noticed something between Jayden and I so did Alessia. Alisha didn't.

Or did she notice and choose not to say anything?

ALISHA'S P.O.V.

I invited Susan over. She seemed nice enough and she was Anne's cousin so, what the heck?

When I said goodbye to Jayden, we all went inside. We greeted my mom and she hugged Anne and Susan.

A few hours later,  we were in my room, on my bed. Giggles and laughter filled the room.

Girl time was the best time. Well, except Jayden time.

Things got serious after a while when we got into relationships drama.

"...I really don't know. It's just like things aren't like before. Maybe because we're living in different towns now and we don't get to see each other often as we used to." Anne said as she complained about the spark her and Kevin dyeing out.

"I didn't think so. I've seen the way he looks  at you. He loves you so much and I can tell you love him too." I say placing a hand on her knee and giving it a gentle squeeze to reassure her.

She gave me a smile and I smiled back.
"Thanks. I guess sometimes the distance between us just gets me thinking." she stated.

"Distance doesn't ruin a relationship. Doubts do." I said.

"And let's not forget that absence makes the heart grow fonder. The more time you spend away from each other,  the more reason you have to be around each other when you see each other." Susan added and we all nodded in agreement.

We then turned to Alessia who had zoned out for a bit. Suddenly, she came back to the world and looked at us.

"What?" she asked, completely clueless.
" Oh. No,  I don't have a crush on anyone yet. Neither do I have a boyfriend so I can skip." she said.

" and if I did,  you,  my dear sister would be the first one to know." she said gesturing to me with the movement of her eyebrows.

I smiled.

My smile didn't last long. It was my turn to talk.

"How about you, Alisha?" Susan asked while I was drinking my soda from the kitchen.

"You and Jayden seem to be all in love, so how do you feel so far?" Susan asked and I choked on my drink at the mention of the word 'love' and they all laughed at my expense.

"So how did he tell you he loves you?" she asked.

Now, that one hit me. Hard.

"Umm... He hasn't. Not yet at least." I mused.

Something I couldn't pinpoint flashed in her eyes.  As I quickly as it came,  it was gone. If I had blinked in that short moment,  I would have missed it.

"Oh, okay. Just be sure to hold him to you. He seems in love with you and he is very handsome so just be careful. The smallest opening and some whore would just swoop  in.  I wouldn't trust boys like that if I were you." she said and my face fell but I quickly hid it, but I think she noticed.

"but he's totally in love with you. I could tell  and it's not like he would hide anything from you.  He loves you. It's evident in his eyes." she recovered.

" I think he loves you very much. I could tell from the first day I saw you too together." Anne said,  obviously trying to lessen the blow of her cousins words for me.

"Seconded." Alessia said as she squinted her eyes ever so slightly as she looked at Susan,  like she was analyzing her.

It took me a minute to realise that she had zoned out.

What was going through her mind?

On the other hand,  I was thinking about what Susan said. I noticed Jayden's weird behavior around Susan.

Like they knew each other or had a pat and it seemed like she knew that her words struck a chord.

I knew Jayden wouldn't ever do anything to hurt me...Not knowingly at least and that was enough assurance for me.

As for the issue if confessing his love. Just as hearing the words were important, showing it was just as important and Jayden had done nothing but show me love since the day I met him.

"Enough about me. What about you?  Is there any lucky guy?" I asked desperately trying to change the topic.

"No,  not for now at least. Some things happened in the past year that separated us and I intend to get him back this time, no  matter the cost." she said and I saw something her eyes and it was directed at me. Once again it went in a blink but I got a sick feeling in my stomach. I chose to ignore it and smiled at her.

"I hope you can get him back." I said and she nodded and smiled.

"I didn't know there was a guy." Anne exclaimed.

Susan laughed and the matter ended.

Not long after, they left and it was late so I took a shower and went to bed.

SUSAN'S P.O.V.

I just needed to plant just a tiny seed of doubt in her mind that would fast grow into a big sturdy tree.

Jayden hadn't told her that he loves her and that was to my advantage.

All that was needed now was just a little fuel to the flame and it would become a wild fire in no time.

It's true that she is nice but myself before others  and that wasn't going to change for her. No matter how nice or lovely she was.

Her house is massive. She didn't even need Jayden. Her family was loaded already so she pretty much had everything.

Being the good human being that she is,  I'm sure she would understand why u had to do what I did... Eventually.

She doesn't need Jayden.  She had everything she could ever really need.

JAYDEN'S P.O.V.

Susan went home with Alisha.
Knowing her, there's no telling what would happen in Alisha's house.

She could have said something or even worse.

My mind was reeling with possibilities of what could be happening over there.

I brought myself out of my worry pit and ordered pizza, all the while hoping for the best.

ALESSIA'S P.O.V.

There was something fishy about Susan.
When she said those things to Alisha,  it didn't sound like just a friendly talk.

There was something else behind her voice, like spite. I could t put my finger on it yet but there was definitely between her and Jayden and I was going to find out what.

I know Jayden would never hurt Alisha and for all I knew, Susan could have been his ex girlfriend or something, or even a one night stand or even just a mistake that he made.

Whatever it was, mistakes most times had a way of coming back to haunt and hurt people concerned and the people around those concerned.

I just didn't want to see Alisha get hurt. She might not have said anything yet but I know that she loves Jayden and that she's also suspicious of Susan.

She just chooses to remain silent and when shot like that happens, its usually the call  before the storm.

To top it all,  when we asked her about her love life, she just shrugged it off after a short story that touches but I didn't buy one bit of it.

Even Anne didn't know about her so called relationship. That was just suspicious because they were really close and for her to keep the relationship from Anne, it would have been something that she knew Anne wouldn't approve of.

What are you hiding, Susan Hearth?...
