***Adam's POV***

I was still dumbfounded by her immense beauty as I sat in the dim light of a coffee shop in downtown Owatonna just staring out at the setting sun. I felt the feelings of polar opposites- the lowest of lows and the highest of highs.  

I grabbed my coffee and stared down at the swirling shades of brown. It was just like me to lose the number of a cute girl. 

I scolded myself every minute for letting go of that slip of paper. By now, it was surely lost in the deep, dark world or in the hands of a luckier man...

I took a sip of my coffee and stood up to leave.
