The School bell had just been rung for break time and the students of the science class were already preparing to leave the classroom for lunch when everyone's attention was quickly drawn towards Diane and her clique that had just walked into the classroom.

"Please can I get your attention!" Diane spoke out and the whole class became silent, everyone eager to know what she had come to say.

She flung her hair sideways and began.
"Okay, so we all know that the graduating class which is us at the moment, is supposed to make a year book which I'm going to be in charge of for our set, since I'm the social prefect. My friends would be passing the questionnaire around right now, on which we would need some details such as your name, date of birth, class, position held, hobbies, best quote, future ambition, favorite dish, best memory, best place you have been to, favorite teacher and the likes. I would urge everyone of you to please give us a honest reply. Thank you," she spoke fluently with poise and calmness while Lisa and Sophia passed a white sheet of paper around.

"I have a question," a dark boy said from the back.

"What is it?" Diane asked him.

"Why are we doing this so early? It's supposed to come up third term, just before we take our finals. Like the other sets before us did," the boy said, turning around to see the reactions from his classmates because he knew most of them should have that same question on their minds.

"I decided to do it earlier this time around so we don't have to stress ourselves over it when we're supposed to be preparing to write our finals," Diane replied.

"Okay, thanks," the boy said and continued with filling his own questionnaire.

"You're welcome," Diane replied before walking over to where Rachael and Vincent were seated.

"Hope you are not having any challenges with filling the form?" she asked with a pretty smile.

"No I'm not, I'm just about done with it," Rachael replied.

"Alright, happy to know that," Diane said and looked at Vincent. "How about you? Our amiable head boy?"

"Not at all, you are doing a good job," Vincent commended her, not removing his gaze from the form he was filling.

"Thank you so much, the school did make the best choice of making me the social perfect." Diane giggled.

"Of course!" Vincent said, trying so hard to deal with her ego.

In some few more minutes, Diane and her friends had gotten all the questionnaires back from their classmates and were now leaving the class.

"Let's go and get Rita so we can go for lunch, I really need to eat after learning for two hours in Mr. Saheed's class," Vincent said to Rachael, already standing up.

"It was a really strenuous class. All though we must admit he is the best Maths teacher in the school," Rachael said as she and Vincent started walking out to Rita's class, which was just opposite theirs.

They were just about entering the classroom when Rita came out through the door, almost bumping into them.

"Hey! I was just about coming to your class," Rita said to them.

"We were just coming to get you too," Rachael said.

"Thanks guys, let's go and eat," Rita said and with that, the trio walked together to the cafeteria. They made their order and went to their favorite spot to eat.

"You must be really hungry," Rita said as she noticed that Vincent had decided to order for fried rice and chicken, along with a bottle of cook, while she and Rachael decided to order for just meat pie and a glass of orange juice each.

"Yeah, I need to get my brain back into my head." Vincent took a full spoon of rice.

"Oh really? So where is the brain now?" Rita asked, obviously trying to pull Vincent's legs.

"In your meat pie," Vincent replied and Rachael laughed out.

"Jerk!" Rita rolled her eyes at him. Vincent just ignored her and continued with eating his food.

"The both of you would never start fighting. Are you?" Rachael tried to suppress her laughter.

"That is because Vincent is just a big trouble maker," Rita replied and took a gulp of her orange juice.

"I'm just adorable, the sooner you accept that, the better for you," Vincent said with a harmless smile which made Rita let out a chuckle.

"Adorable indeed," she said with sarcasm and continued with scrolling through her phone.
"That reminds me. Rachael I saw a beautiful, blue dress online. I was thinking you would love it since your birthday is coming up next week."

"Really? I love the color blue. Let me have a look," Rachael said.

"Just some seconds, I have a screenshot of it on my phone," Rita said as she searched for the picture in her phone gallery. "Here it is." she passed the phone to Rachael who immediately took it from her.

"Wow! This is beautiful," Rachael said as she admired the blue dress before her, which beauty was even the more accentuated with the shiny, stones on it.

"Its totally worth the price," Rita said.

"How much is on the price tag?" asked Rachael.

"Forty-five thousand," Rita said and Vincent almost choked on his food, drawing Rachael and Rita's attention towards him. Rachael quickly offered him a bottle of water that was next to her which he gladly took and drank from.

"Thank you. Can I see the dress?" he said, wanting to know what was so special about the dress since he found the price really much.

"So it's the price that is making you to choke?" Rita asked, laughing hard at Vincent who was now staring at the picture of the blue dress.

"Okay, I would agree with the both of you, this dress does really looks expensive," Vincent said.

"The price of the dress she wore last year for her birthday was more than this one with about ten thousand naira so it's really not a big deal." Rita shrugged.

"It's okay you two. I really want something very simple this year. I'm not even inviting any other guests apart from the both of you and for the dress, mum always insists on getting it herself for me so I would just leave it up to her," Rachael revealed.

"The smaller the party, the merrier it is," Rita said cheerfully.

"I definitely agree with you on that," Vincent added.

"Finally, something the both of you agree on," Rachael said, throwing her hands in the air, making Vincent and Rita to both laugh at her dramatic response.

"So I was thinking if we could hang out together tomorrow, maybe go and watch a movie together at the cinema. I can't remember when last we did that," Rita chipped in.

"That sounds like a great idea." Rachael nodded in agreement.

"Vincent, would you be able to make it?" asked Rita.

"I should. Would help my mum out with the shop in the morning hours then. I'm sure we would be going out towards the evening right?"

"Yes, let's meet by four. We would take an Uber. I'm going to meet up with Rachael and then we would come pick you up at your mum's shop," Rita said.

"Sounds good. So what's the movie we would be watching?" asked Vincent.

"Jumanji, it got released some couple of days ago and it would be premiering at the Silverbird cinema tomorrow by five in the evening," Rita replied.

"Alright, but I want to be the one to handle all the bills, see it as a pre-birthday outing hosted by me," Rachael placed her hands on chest.

"You don't have to do that, wouldn't it be too much for you, I can help myself with the savings I've been making from working in the shop with my mum," Vincent said.

"Please, I want to, and you don't have to worry about how much everything would cost, I can handle it," Rachael said.

"Vincent, trust her. She can handle it," Rita added.

"Alright then, I guess I would just use the money I was supposed to spend tomorrow to add up to the one I've budgeted to use in getting you your birthday gift," Vincent said.

"Thank you." Rachael smiled.

"Don't mention," Vincent said.

"Awn, look at Vincent being a gentleman," Rita cooed.

"Get out," Vincent said with a smile.

"Hope it would be worth the time though," Rachael said.

"Of course, I mean what else do you expect from a movie where both Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson are main characters if not comedy and a lot of action?" Rita said.

"I agree with you on that, the both of them are are just so funny in their movies. I really enjoy watching their movies," Vincent added.

"Alright then, I can't wait for tomorrow," Rachael happily said.

"Me two," Rita said.

"Me three," Vincent said and they all laughed.

The sound of the bell came on and they left  the cafeteria together to their various classes.
