It was another Monday morning and Rachael had already left the house for school with her driver.

Davidson was in the bedroom with his wife, who was still on her night wear while making final touches to his already knotted tie.

"You mentioned that the people hosting you for the interview are sending someone to come pick you up?" he asked his wife, looking down at her.

"Yes, my PA is supposed to be here anytime soon. She is supposed to help me out with my makeup and dress." Sylvia removed her hands from the tie.

"How about when coming back from the interview?"

"I'm actually going to the office after the interview but I can call Ebuka to come pick me up, or just take an Uber when coming back," Sylvia replied.

"Alright. Wishing you the best with your interview and I just want to say I'm really proud of you," Davidson said sweetly to Sylvia and gave her a quick kiss on her lips.

"Thank you dear, for always being supportive. I'm really happy to have met someone like you," Sylvia said.

"Me too." Davidson looked at his wristwatch.
"Bye darling. I need to start going now, I have a meeting with the Minister for Petroleum Resources today."

"Alright, take good care of yourself." Sylvia placed a peck on her husband's cheek.

"I will, you too," Davidson said and with that, he left through the door, leaving his wife alone in the bedroom. Sylvia immediately went into the bathroom to take her bath some minutes after he left.

She heard a knock on the door as soon as she stepped out of the bathroom after taking her bath. She quickly put on her robe and rushed to the front door. She opened the door and found her assistant standing outside with a bag which contained the dress Sylvia was supposed to put on, along with her makeup kit.

Joanna had been working as Sylvia's personal assistant since the first branch of Sylvia's fashion house was opened in Lagos. She worked so hard and diligently, making Sylvia to retain her even after all those years.

"You came earlier than I expected Joanna," Sylvia said as she opened the door for her to come in.

"I've missed my work so much when you left to New York. I was so happy when you called me to come over today," Joanna said.

"Anyways, I need to eat first. Would you like to join me?"

"I ate before coming, thank you so much," Joanna replied.

"Alright then, just give me a few minutes to eat, feel at home while you wait," Sylvia said to Joanna and went into the kitchen.

Mrs. Jones had just finished with Sylvia's breakfast which was fried ripe plantain and scrambled eggs, along with a cup of tea.

"You are done right?" Sylvia asked Mrs. Jones as she got into the kitchen.

"Yes ma, I'm taking it to the dining table now," Mrs. Jones said, picking up the tray of food.

Sylvia finished up with her meal in a matter of minutes and went back to the living room.
"Let's go upstairs to the closet," she said to Joanna whose eyes were on the drama on the television.

"Alright," she said and got up from the couch.

They went to the closet together and raised the curtains to let some light get into the room which was a little bit dark.

"We have an hour to get ready, the driver is coming here by ten," Sylvia informed Joanna.

"Okay, I should be done with everything before then," Joanna said.

"Can I see the dress?" asked Sylvia.

"Yes," Joanna said and brought out a red, knee-length dress. The dress had a short slit at the front and had four big black buttons lining the back. It appeared classy and at the same time simple.

"It's beautiful," Sylvia said as she took a good look at the dress. "Let me put it on," she said and stood up to put the dress on.

"It fits you perfectly," Joanna said, admiring the dress on Sylvia's body.

"You always know what fits me perfectly," Sylvia said as she admired the dress on her body. The dress was fitted perfectly into every curve on her beautiful body.

"Let's start with the makeup. I want it to be nude and simple too," she said to Joanna and took her seat, facing the large mirror before her.

"Nude it is," Joanna said and brought out a light blue cloth which she used to cover Sylvia's dress, so that the makeup doesn't stain it. She got to work and was soon done with the makeup.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it," Sylvia said as she looked closer into the mirror.

"Let me go and get the accessories." Joanna briskly walked over to another part of the closet. She spent some time looking for the right accessories and later came back with the ones she found best for her boss; a black Pearl necklace that came with matching earrings and a bracelet. Sylvia quickly put on the accessories and went on to put on her black heels. She was soon ready as Joanna was done with dressing her up.

They spent some time discussing about business before her driver arrived at the house. Sylvia went out with Joanna through the front door and met the driver.

"I would see you later dear, thank you so much for the help," Sylvia said to Joanna who was getting ready to leave in her car.

"It was my pleasure," Joanna said before driving off.

Sylvia got into the Sienna car with the young man that was sent to pick her up. They drove for thirty minutes before getting to their destination.

A lady, just about Sylvia's age, walked forward to meet her as she came out from the car that had brought her.

"You must be Mrs. Sylvia. Please come with me," the lady said and led the way. They got into the building and walked down the hallway to a room, the lady left some seconds later.

The room was being staged with cameras and other equipments they use in shooting.

"It's a privilege that you could honor our invitation, I am Susan," a lady who was also in the room along with the technicians, walked up to Sylvia and introduced herself.

"It's my pleasure," Sylvia said and took the lady's outstretched hands in a handshake.

"We would be live in five minutes time,"
Susan, who was dressed impeccably in a yellow dress and black heels said to Sylvia.

Sylvia took a quick look around the room. A part of the room was painted with white paint and had a different decor from the other part of the room which was painted blue.

"We are ready now, please follow me," Susan said and started walking to the part of the room painted white, where all the cameras were now facing.

Susan pointed at a seat next to hers and asked Sylvia to sit there. A man from the technical crew went forward to fix their mini microphone on their clothes, after which Susan looked at the director of the show to get a go ahead signal from him, which he gave with his fingers.

Good day ladies and gentlemen, my name is Susan and I am going to be the anchor for today's daily fashion gist. With me in the studio today is the well-known Nigerian fashion icon, in the person of Mrs. Sylvia Davison. You are welcome to the show Mrs Sylvia.

Before I start with the questions and answers, I would like to tell you all a little about her achievements. Mrs. Sylvia here, is the CEO of Cozy fashion house which has been recognized here in Nigeria as one of the most successful fashion houses, having branches in almost every state in the country. Mrs Sylvia has also been named among the most successful business women in the country. Please tell us Mrs Sylvia, how it feels to have gotten so much recognition.

Sylvia
It's indeed overwhelming to see a business that had started so small, grow into something I never imagined it would become and I'm really grateful to God that I have come this far.

Susan :
They have been a rumor going around about your fashion house being one among the two that were selected from Africa to participate in the forthcoming New York fashion Exhibition.
What do you have to say about this?.

Sylvia :
The rumors are indeed true. My fashion house was selected among the many that applied for participation and I'm really happy that my team and I can show the whole world what we've got.

Susan :
Congratulations on that ma.

Sylvia:
Thank you so much.

Susan :
So how do manage your career? Considering the fact that you are a wife and a mother. You know with business trips and conferences, it must really be a lot to balance.

Sylvia :
Well, it is true that I'm out of the country most of the time, and even when I am around, I get to be very busy but that has not hindered me from being the best wife to my husband and a good mother to my child.

Susan :
So you mean that you make out quality time to spend with your husband and daughter?

Sylvia :
Yes I do. I still get to cook for them whenever I am around and also get to spend a lot of quality time with them also.

Susan :
What has been your inspiration all these years?

Sylvia :
My inspiration has mostly been my parents. They have always been there to encourage me to be better, and also my lovely husband and daughter.

Susan :
Sure looks like a really happy family to me.

Sylvia :
Yes, we are indeed a happy family.

Susan :
Is your company planning on getting new models and other employees? Considering the fact that you have a huge project ahead of you.

Sylvia :
We do have auditions for new models, but for the project at the New York fashion Exhibition, we would rather prefer to use our already experienced models. As for new employees, we do have a few spaces for that and anyone who is interested can visit our website to learn more about the whole procedure and requirements.

Susan :
