I pepped through the window
From my cold and dark room
I saw him park his car in the house garage

With each step he took towards the door my heart beat raced faster
More than NASCAR
I began to sweat all over
My breath began to quiver

Finally what I dreaded the most came to tell me how it existed
With a loud thud of the door opening
And a strong odour of alcohol polluting the atmosphere

I knew death was one of the things I greatly feared
I hid behind the curtain
Hoping my dead mum would save me from the future pain
But my poor self

I was hoping blindly for, dad had growled loudly
And roared heavily
As he saw my feet peeking out of the place I tried to conceal in
Tearing open the curtain
I looked up to him

With tears staining my cheeks
And breakage forming in my heart
I knew in the next few hours
I'd be six feets deeper.
