Dawn stretched over the trees, a light glow hung over the shrubbery, the sun was out, dancing around, I took it as a sign, a new start. I rolled over on my other side, to wake up Nathen, and show him our new found hope,he lay there peacefully, his womb had healed up pretty well, considering our situation. He looked so relaxed, I didn't want to ruin it, so instead I chose to stare at him, I know, it's a bit creepy.

His hair was a bit messy, falling to the side of his forehead, a sandy brown color, I had to hold myself from running my fingers through it. His deep gray eyes were covered by his eyelids and nice long eyelashes, but I knew those pools by heart, and every emotion that had ever lingered in them, he didn't shield them from me any longer, I was his escape, and he was my safe haven, something I had been looking for for so long.

"I don't think you have blinked in over two minutes," my ears jumped at the smooth silk sound of this walking angels voice, the stars knew his name, and the heavens dreamed of him, or at least mine did. I grinned, Drawing in the fact that I could be with him at this moment worry free.

"The sun is out," I exclaimed, nearly jumping to my feet, I pulled him up as well, delighting in the chuckle that escaped from his lips, a clown smile cracking over his features. My hand fit so perfectly in his, as We took off toward the nearby meadow, not a care in the world, at that moment, just two spirits who longed to be free.

"There is nobody like you Drew, all my life I shall remember that smile of yours." He pulled up a few bits of grass, and tossed them at me, the contents tickling my knees. I glanced over at him, the light shining in his ocean misty eyes. Those eyes that were meant just for me to look into, forever and always.

"And all my life I shall remember you, I will never forget you, not ever." Nathen nodded, fidgeting with the grass, I enjoyed the warmth that baked my back, something that wasn't normal where we lived, I knew it had to be a sign of a new beginning.

"I knew you never had forgotten me I knew somehow you would remember." Nathen pulled me against his side, the Electric current of his strong hand against my arm coursing through my veins.. I memorized the feeling of the weight of every finger, and how it curved against my skin, how could I be so lucky to have him.

"I'm happy I fell off that horse, even if it did give me a headache." Nathen chuckled, his cheek resting against the top of my head and he glanced up at the heavens. Blue sky, and boy was it a magnificent sight.

"Time has a way of proving all things," his voice was barely above a whisper, but I caught every syllable, my head falling into the crook of his neck as we sat there in silence, but no words needed to be said, for there were no more left to be had.

Buried in my own thoughts, I hadn't noticed the sound of footsteps... no hooves, Nathen had already sprang to his feet, yanking up a rope. He darted his gaze around, squeezing his fist so tight his knuckles were turning white. "It's my fathers horse," he declared, rubbing the back of his neck as he bounded off into the distance, "I knew they we're not giving up."

I stood frozen in place, his words nearly suffocating me. Suddenly the sky didn't seam so bright, for the story wasn't over yet, it was the cool just before the storm.
