The next day I had practice with Kelly from two- four, I was excited for my date with Liam.
"Clair you've been doing great this season" Kelly said bringing me back from my thoughts.
"Thanks,but you're a big part of why I'm doing so good" I said.
"Yeah that and the whole country loves you."
"I wouldn't say the whole country."
"You and Cody still in a fight?"
"No I just meant... even when you have fans you also have the haters, Cody and I are good but I'm still going on a date with Liam Hemsworth"
"Why?"
"It's not like a date date just like... an activity... by ourselves.
Kelly and I practiced a few more times with my duet and next song then at four she called it a day and I went back to the hotel to get ready for my date.
"Cleo I'm telling you, you'll regret this in a few weeks" Gwen said from outside the bathroom.
"What ever" I said adding the last few curls to my hair.
"We're just trying to warn you" Heather said. I stepped out of the bathroom to look in the full length mirror against the wall by the closet.

"I'm going to that date and that's that, I'm sure Cody will understand."  I said.
"You know?" Gwen asked with wide eyes.
"Know what?"
"Never mind"
"Next time someone does that to me I'm texting Cody from one of your phones pretending to be you" I threatened.  Gwen and Heather nodded and I walked down to the beach. Liam was there waiting for me.
"Hi Clair, you look pretty as usual, we aren't having our date here I just thought it was a good meeting spot. Our date is actually at this cool restaurant.  Liam took me to this nice restaurant by the water and it was more on the fancier side. I was in luck because tonight was a good deal on the buffet. I got chicken, mashed potatoes, rolls and some corn, and for dessert, a hot fudge brownie.
"This place is so cool" I said.
"I know, I thought you'd like to be on the water and have a buffet so I choose this place" Liam said. I smiled. Liam and I continued talking about ourselves throughout dinner, Liam is so funny and a good person to be around.
"Hey Clair can I ask you something?" Liam said.
"Sure what's up?" I responded.
"Do you like me?"
"What kind of question is that? Of course I do, your just funny, smart and super nice
"and rich."
"Yes that too"
"Ok, thank you"
"Your welcome."
Liam leaned in closer to me and I knew he wanted to kiss me.
"No... I can't do that" I said holding my hand out.
"How come?"
"Because of Cody"
"What about Cody? You guys broke up"
"Yeah but we might be able to work things out."

Liam shook his head and went up to the host. I saw him pay then leave.
I couldn't believe it, Gwen was right it was wrong for me to come on a date with Liam. I got up and payed my half then walked back to the hotel in tears. No matter how hard I try I always end up in tears when I'm with guys, I just can't do it anymore.
