It was the sixth night on American idol and I was still singing songs about break ups. Heather and Gwen have been keeping a secret from me I can just tell. My phone chimed alerting me of a text message. I checked to see who it was and it was Cody, he said can't wait for the finale babe love you. I didn't know what to say so I just sent: kk love you too and sent a smilie face with it.
I got ready to go practice with Kelly. When I got to the theater she was ready and said after we run through the song a few times we were going to work on a duet song.
"Why am I doing a duet song that doesn't make sense?"

"We'll get you a partner don't worry everything's fine do you trust me?"
"One hundred percent" I lied, I did trust Kelly but not a hundred percent, everyone's been keeping secrets from me and it's starting to tick me off, I don't even know what's real and what's a lie. After running through both songs a few times Kelly said I was good to go until I had to be back at the theater for the show tonight. I called Cody when I stepped outside.
"Hello Clair how's my princess?"
"I'm great, because you're coming to the finale" I said.
"Well about that..."
"What... you mean you're not coming?" I said trying to hide the sadness in my voice as tears started forming.
"Well yes I found out that I got freaking scheduled to work that day.
"I can't handle any more heartbreak  in my life so if we're done just tell me.
"We're not done I didn't want to break up with you but I didn't think a distance relationship was going to work between us. I can't come to the finale but I still love you. I want to be with you won't you let me be your boyfriend again? I promise to make everything up to you."

"I already said yes, when I said you could come to the finale I also meant I want to be with you, my heart is always going to want you, I love you and when I come back I want you to be in my life."
Cody and I talked a bit more then when we hung up I had to get ready for the show. I am singing the song I wrote earlier tonight and I'm so glad because the song basically explains how I'm feeling right now.

The girls and I decided since it was a gorgeous night we would walk to the theater, it was only seven blocks away. We made it three blocks before the paparazzi were crowding us.
"Clair is all that stuff about your relationship true?"
"Clair can you tell us about being on American idol?"
"Clair why haven't we heard about your dad in while?"
Everywhere we turned it was Clair this and Clair that and I was getting really annoyed.
"Gwen gave a loud whistle shutting the paparazzi up.
"Everyone listen up, Clair has to be at the American idol theater in fifteen minutes and she won't make it if you Keep bugging her, second Clair doesn't want to talk about her personal life so please let us through!" Gwen yelled at the paparazzi. Thank goodness we made it to the theater on time I was third tonight so I had one last practice run through with Kelly before I went on. When it was my turn I took the stage and the song began my song.

"I bet I know who that was about" Gwen said.
"Well we had a slip in his schedule again but Cody and I may be able to work things out... I think?" I said.

"Ok" Gwen said trying to hide a smile.

"Ok what's up?"

"Nothing.. everything's...  uh see you after the show."

I just shrugged and watched the rest perform until we got our scores. Once again I was staying another week America's votes are in my favor. I couldn't wait till the finale, I just knew I was going to make it.
