Tonight is night five, I was half way through the season, I just have to keep working hard and practice. Kelly and I had been in the practice room all day with a few breaks in between, at lunch break Kelly told me about this party that I got invited to, by Chris Pratt it's a boat party and it was tomorrow night.
"OMG can't believe I'm going to meet Chris Pratt on a boat!" Can I bring my friends or is it invite only?" I asked.
"I'm not actually sure, I'll find out and get back to you, but I think you'd be allowed to bring your friends, but I still have to check."
I checked my phone for any messages, I was secretly hoping that I'd have something from Cody, but I got absolutely nothing. I haven't told anyone that I made my decision, I would tell them soon though. We got back to practice and worked on all the tips Kelly taught me from earlier weeks. I wanted to make tonight my best performance so far, I needed to put all my emotions into this song more than ever with this summer being all over the place on the emotional roller coaster it needed to finally come to an end, but I knew that it wouldn't end until I see Cody one last time. I was finally finished with rehearsals and The girls and I had a few hours to kill so we spent some time at the beach until we had to get to the theater. I needed to shower quickly to get all the sand off me, I grabbed the dress that I wanted to wear for tonight and my makeup bag,I didn't have time to get ready at the hotel so I decided that tonight I would use my dressing room. When I was all ready to go Kelly came in to make sure there wasn't anything that needed fixing.
"You look beautiful Clair!"
"Thank you Kelly, by the way did you find out if my friends can come to the party tomorrow night?"
"Yes they can, I told you I'd find out and I came through didn't I?"
"Yes thank you"
I took one last look in the mirror to see how I looked, Kelly was right I looked beautiful in my outfit.

Once I was done admiring myself Kelly escorted me to the stage I was up first tonight which made me glad because I wanted to get the song over with. My name was announced and I took the stage, the music started and I began to sing putting all my emotions into the song.

I finished my song and gave a bow and walked back to my dressing room with Heather and Gwen.

When the song ended I took a bow and walked back to my dressing room. Gwen came in five minutes later looking for me.
"You seemed a lot happier tonight" she said.
"Yeah, I'm just trying to focus on something else plus... Well I may have made my decision but I'll tell you later I want to wait till the show's over for tonight."

Heather nodded as if she understood, even if my decision does effect the show there's still a chance I could be voted off before the finale so I don't understand why everyone is asking me to make a big deal about all of it. When the other contestants were finished we all gathered back on stage for our scores. I got better scores than last time, it seems like America loves my work and now I'm in the finale five. All of Kelly's coaching is working out well I made a mental note to get her a gift when the show's over to let her know that I deeply appreciate her.

Back at the hotel I told Heather and Gwen about the boat party that we got invited to tomorrow night.
"A boat party... that's awesome!" Gwen said.
"Look at you being all famous and popular" Heather added.
"Do you guys have something to wear for the party?" I asked, "because if not we can go shopping"
"Probably a good idea I don't have anything to wear for a boat party"

"Who does? "
"You have to be like crazy rich" Gwen chimed in.
"Well I have some money to spare for a nice dress, and we have Clair"'Heather said laughing.
"Umm RUDE" I said  joking along with Heather, "of course I'll help out, I'm totally kidding.
"So tomorrow we'll go shopping and then we have an awesome boat party to enjoy."
We didn't stay up much later after that. I was glad that things were starting to get better. I still had my secret, but I was going to share it soon.
