Chapter Fifty-One

George and Thea were walking down the corridors, heading towards the Room of Requirement. Fred had been pulled off to do something with Lee which provided the two of them, time alone, although the feeling that something or rather someone was missing, they were both enjoying the time.

"I want to take you on another date," George confessed.

"Really?" Thea replied, laughing slightly as she leaned into him.

"Yep. Without annoying people, questioning everything."

Thea laughed again, the smile clear on her face which brought a smile to George's face as well. Thea had been doing really well in the past few weeks, she now went through life with a smile even though the one year anniversary of her brother's death was quickly approaching, Thea kept herself busy in order to not think about it.

However, the only thing she was really struggling with was the fact that she often found herself waking up at random times throughout the night, without an explanation. It had gotten to a point where Thea didn't even try to force herself back to sleep, preferring to sit at the window in her dormitory. Despite the complaints of her fellow roommates, she would sit there for the remainder of the night with the window opened. Her, eyes searching the sky and the dark grounds for any sign of movement, a sign of a lost boy whooping and hollering as he swopped across the grounds.

Thea had told George of her nightly habits causing him to tease her about her becoming nocturnal but he still wasn't aware of the real reason that she did it.

The two of them quickly found themselves in front of the Room of Requirement, after a cursory look around, the two of them entered through the door that appeared in front of them.

Once the two of them entered, George headed over to where his twin was with Lee while Thea wandered over to where Harry stood, he quickly noticed her appearance, smiling at her.

"Hey, Thea."

"Hi, Harry. What will we be learning today?"

"Well, I'm not really sure but I do have an idea. I'll announce it when everyone eventually arrives. In fact, everyone is nearly here, you might want to go get seated."

"Thanks, Harry," Thea replied before heading back towards where the twins had made themselves comfortable.

"Did you managed to get it out of him, about what we are doing tonight?" Fred questioned the second Thea had sat down.

"You know what, Fred?" Thea replied.

"What?" Fred asked.

"If you listen to Harry in a few minutes, I'm sure you'll figure it out."

As it turned out Thea had been right. It didn't take long everyone else to arrive and Harry quickly stood in the center of the room and explained to everyone what they would be working on that evening.

They would be working on blocking spells or more specific the Protego, shield charm. It deflected all strong spells expect the killing curse. Harry highly recommended that everyone learn it as it was crucial.

Everyone paired off but because of the uneven numbers, Thea was left alone. She turned to ask if Harry needed a partner but he had already gone. Eventually, she made her way over to the twins, swapping out with one of them if they needed a break. She watched amused as Fred would cast a spell and George would try to block it. It lead to Thea unable to control her laughter as they were both thrown to the ground several times.

Fred had just been thrown to the ground, when Thea stood up, laughing at him, claiming that it was her turn.

"Alright, Fred. It's my turn anyway but I think I'll show you how to do it."

Fred went to go sit down as he watched Thea prepare herself to cast a spell and George clutched his wand tightly in his hand, ready to cast the Protego charm.

Thea held her wand out in front of her, taking a deep breath before casting the spell.

"Stupefy!"

"Protego!" George shouted out in return, worry reflecting in his eyes, hoping that the charm wouldn't hit Thea. To his relief, he watched as Thea ducked and the charm that had bounced off his shield charm hit the wall behind them with a loud thud.

George headed over to Thea giving her a high five which she returned before pulling her into a side hug.

"And Fred, that's how you do it!" Thea teased.

Fred looked rather offended and lunged at Thea playfully but was interrupted by the small house elf that had suddenly appeared in the room, shouted Harry's name in order to get his attention.

"Mr. Harry Potter! Mr. Harry Potter!"

"Dobby?" Harry questioned confused. "What is it?"

Dobby looked around quickly before shaking slightly in near hysterics. He started to speak but quickly trailed off. Harry suddenly realized that Dobby was talking about someone and the panicked look on his face could only mean one thing.

"Is it Umbridge?" The house elf quickly nodded as everyone looked at each other, panicking slightly.

"She knows! And she's coming!" Dobby quickly warned, having a sudden burst of courage.

Harry wasted no time, he quickly made sure everyone got out in time and they all ran down the corridors to their common rooms. George insisted on walking with Thea to her common room as she had found herself in a near state of panic over worrying for Harry and if he got out in time.

"He'll be fine, Thea," George reassured her. "I promise."

"But Umbridge-." Thea started but George cut her off.

"Harry will deal with Umbridge if he needs to. He's not alone. It will all work out."

Thea thought through it all for a few moments before turning to George.

"Thanks." She said with a small smile. "Well, I better get going."

The two of them turned to see that they had indeed arrived at the Hufflepuff Common Room.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Thea." George replied warmly, quickly pecking her on the cheek.

"See you," Thea replied, turning to tap the barrels to let her in but once she realized that George was still there she quickly stopped.

"Why aren't you going in?" George questioned looking a bit concerned.

"I'm not showing you how to get into the Hufflepuff common room! Think of the trouble you and your brother could get into!" Thea protested.

"Fine, fine." George protested beginning to walk away. Thea watched him go around the corner before waiting a few more seconds just to make sure he was gone.

"Goodnight Thea!" George said brightly his head appearing around the corner.

"Go!" Thea shouted pointing around the corner, a chuckle leaving her despite her best attempts to oppress it.
