Trinitie's P.O.V
It was a Friday evening. Donnie and I were walking down the busy sidewalk filled with pedestrians, some in a hurry and others walking with a casual appearance. Leo and Raph had pulled Mikey away from us, and smirking, said they had things to do.
So now as we strolled, hand in hand, talking about nothing in particular, I felt completely at ease. The sky was clear for once, and soft snow lined the ground in random places, sometimes falling from the branches of a tree we passed under, it's branches stretched overhead.
As we were once again on the topic of what animal was better (Cats or dogs?), I remembered something from this earlier argument.
"I still haven't met Ice Cream Kitty." I pointed out, and with a moment of thought, he shook his head, smiling at me.
"I guess you haven't yet. I'll show you her once we get back." He promised, and I smiled at him. Suddenly, as if a lightbulb was shining above my head, I stopped walking and exclaimed,
"We should get a puppy!"
His raised an eyebrow, and I giggled. "A dog?"
"No." He looked confused, and I laughed. "A puppy."
He laughed with me and smiled, but frowned a few moments afterwards.
"What is it?" I asked, happy at the prospect of a new animal.
"Sensei might not agree with having another animal in the lair, and.." He trailed off, looking at the sky.
"What?" I asked, having to refrain from laughing at the puff of smoke trailing up to the sky.
"I don't know of the dog would like me or not. I've never had one before." He admitted bashfully, but I didn't laugh at him. It was a common fear.
"Have you read about them?" I asked, and he gave me a are-you-serious- kind of look. I shrugged, and he sighed.
"Well, yah. Bread hurts their intestines, along with chicken bones. They're colorblind. They can't have chocolate." He explained, and I nodded, already knowing.
"Well, I bet it would love you. And I don't think that Master Splinter would mind that much. Plus, it will be way too cute to turn down." I giggled, and thanked the fates that we were passing a pet store.
Pulling him in, I smiled at all the puppies and different animals all around the room, greeting the person behind the counter. In the far back of the store were isles containing food and toys. Collars, bowls, and other various things lined the walls. Birds and parakeets were in cages behind and around the counter. Aquariums where different colored fish swam sat underneath the counter. Kittens sat meowing in cages by the collars. I practically dragged Donnie to the nearest glass box er- octagon? of puppies.
Well, whatever shape or was, it was made of glass so you could see the animals inside. The top of it was uncovered by anything, so the enclosure wasn't exactly completely cut off.
I looked at the animals closely, cooing at them softly while they jumped up on the wall, their tails wagging happily. They were all fluffy and multicolored, but there was a particular one that caught my eye.
It was black, brown covering the top of its head to underneath its eyes, making it look as if it were wearing a mask. The brown went to the tips of its ears, and I smiled at how cute it was. All four of its paws were white, or mote of a cream color, with tiny flecks of black on them, and its tail was all black, completing the look. It's eyes were different colored, the left one a bright brown, the right a bright crystal blue.
It was tiny, probably tiny enough to fit in my arms from elbow to elbow. It's snout was long, a black nose at the end of it. It had very floppy ears, and its tail was long and wagging excitedly.
It wasn't pressed up against the glass, but was sitting a little ways away. Once it saw my stare it stood up, wagging its tail, and as if it were smiling, started to chase its tail, barking loudly.
I gave out an 'awww' and looked over at Donnie, who was smiling at the puppy. I awwwed inside my head at the look on his face, which was utterly adorable. Deciding to give the other animals a chance, I reluctantly backed away from that cage and went to look at the other ones, but they didn't have any real competition with that last puppy.
I looked at Donnie, and he looked back at me, and I raised both of my eyebrows in question. He just shrugged and nodded, and I squealed, telling the guy behind the counter which one I wanted. He picked it up and told us the price, at which Donnie pulled out a wad of bills to pay.
I realized that we would need the basic things that dogs need, and went to the walls of the shop, looking through the merchandise. Donnie was beside me a few minutes later, the dog in his arms.
"It's a boy." He told me, smiling. I gave out another aww, and reached my hand out to pet the puppy' s soft fur. After petting it, I decided to get him a all the way around black collar, but then shook my head. You wouldn't be able to see it with his black fur.
So, instead, I picked up a pure white collar, holding it up to him. He nudged it with his nose, licking it with his light pink tongue. I giggled and kept it in my hand as I went to search for the bowls.
Glancing at Donnie and the puppy, I beamed as I saw that the puppy had snuggled into his arms, and he was smiling down at him, stroking his black fur softly.
Refraining from giving out another annoying aww, I turned back to the dishes, and giggled wham I saw one with a measuring part on the inside of it. It was like a measuring cup, except instead of the numbers, it went like this from the bottom to top: Not nearly enough, human. (Next one up) Human, can you not hear me? (Next one) Okay human. You are getting better. (Next) Now you are getting there. (Next, almost at the top) Human, this is good now. (Next to last one) Human! I said enough! (Last one at top) HUMAN! STAHP!
I giggled at the bowl, and looked at the outside of it, which had a dog with a bored? expression on its face. It had a thought bubble by its head that said, Human, bring food now. And none of that dry cereal stuff either. I showed the bowl to Donnie, and he laughed at it and smiled, telling me that I should get it. I grabbed the water dish also, which was the same, except for on the outside, which said, I need water to live, human. I demand it, now.
Other than that, the bowls were white. I carefully held them as I walked to look for a leash, and the dog food. The cashier walked over with a cart that I hadn't noticed earlier, and I thanked him graciously. Setting the things down in the cart, relieving my arms, I continued searching for the leash.
There were all different kinds, ranging from different colors of normal woven ones, to the button clicking ones. I showed a normal white leash with black designed on it, and he said,
"Whatever you'd like."
I smiled and picked that one out, lowering it into the cart along with the bowls. Walking over to where they had stocked the various types of dog food, I looked at them carefully. I didn't know how to tell which one would be the best, tasting and how healthy, I looked over at Donnie, who was still holding the puppy gently.
"Which one would be the best?" I asked him, and he shuffled closer, looking at them all in turn. It only was silent, except for the dogs gentle breathing, for a few moments before he said,
"I think it's the green one." He said, and I was about to pick up the huge package when I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning me around. He handed me the puppy, who immediately went to lick my face as it got closer, and I giggled. Donnie grabbed the package himself, nudging the bowls and things over so they wouldn't get squished and set the bag down inside the cart.
"He'll need some toys too. And a bed." I said, and he nodded, pushing the cart, with me following, holding the puppy that snuggled into my arms, to the toy isle.
I pulled up toys to the puppys face, but he didn't react at all until I pulled up a monkey, that was bright neon green, when he licked the side of its face, trying to bite on the arm. I pulled the monkey out of its reach though, and continued my search. I ended up getting a big arm full of toys, ranging from basketballs to stuffed ducks and anything in between.
I looked at Donnie, asking with my eyes if it was okay to get all these things, and he just nodded, making me smile hugely. I dumped the toys into the cart, which was almost completely full now, and I could tell that the puppy was going to be very spoiled.
I practically ran to the beds, not jostling the puppy too much, and looked at all the different beds there. They were all different colors, but the one that caught my eyes was completely black, light grey and white skulls plastered onto the surface of it everywhere. Donnie raised and eyebrow.
"He's not going to have anything girly." I said, pointing to all the girly ones, cringing. Donnie just rolled his eyes playfully and added the bed to the pile, and I now saw that the inside of it was a dark grey, and very fuzzy and soft looking. I petted it, and then petted the dog, deciding that the puppy was softer.
While walking to the register once again, we passed some tanks, and I stopped in my tracks, my mind whirling. Donnie stopped a few steps later, and then looked back at me, turning around to see what was up.
"MAYBE WE CAN GET RAPH A NEW PET!" I said a little too loudly, causing the guy behind the register to drop his book. I squeaked out a small apology, glad at being the only ones in the store. He looked skeptical for a moment, so I elaborated. "He won't be so sad about Spike. And, hopefully it will make him happier. Please, Donnie." I begged.
"Fine. Pick something out." He waved a hand, and I almost jumped for joy before I remembered that I had a puppy in my arms.
I pressed my face up in the glass with a huge smile on my face, studying the animals inside closely. Inside, there were different kinds of turtles, in others, snakes. I skirted around the snakes cages carefully, not trusting the glass barrier between.
"Should we get him another turtle?" I asked, not knowing the behavior of the one before, as I had not met the creature.
Donnie shook his head. "He might want something different, since things went badly with the last one." He said, and I nodded, kissing the puppy' s head when it growled at the snake in the next cage over who had taken an interest in him.
The puppy calmed down and I continued to search for the right pet to get Raph. It was hard, seeing as I didn't really hang out with him a lot. I then decided on what I wanted to give him, pointing which one I wanted to the cashier. The guy picked it out of the cage, and put it in a different portable one.
I smiled and quickly grabbed the necessities that the animal would need and threw them in the cart before checking out for the last time. I looked at all of the bags, and knew that it was going to be hard to carry everything, along with trying to keep control of a puppy.
Thank goodness we all put our things in our lockers, not having any homework.
As if noticing our dilemma, the guy graciously said, "You can take one of the carts as long as you bring it back." I smiled at him and thanked him about a million times before Donnie finally dragged me out of the store.
We had ended up spending a lot of money, which was actually okay with me, since I had had enough. It was, after all, my idea.
Donnie pushed the cart down the sidewalk while I held the puppy, walking right alongside him. I was tired of calling the puppy,'The puppy' so I mentioned,
"We should give him a name."
He looked over at me, raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Then pick one."
I wracked my brain for a few minutes, which were quiet, and anything that came up to mind was fan-based. "Well, maybe.. Holmes. Or Watson. Or Tony, as in Tony Stark. Maybe Thor. Oh! Or Percy. Maybe Harry. Or Potter. Mr. MkCuddlekins?" Donnie looked at me funny when I said the last one, and I smiled sheepishly.
"Which one are you going to call him?" He asked, looking at the snoozing dog in my arms as we walked.
"I can't choose. Help me." I commanded, and he thought over the ones I had said earlier.
"How about we call him... Watson." He decided, and I nodded my head happily at the choice.
"That's what I was thinking, but I wanted you to think that you had a choice in the decision," I joked, and he shook his head playfully, continuing to push the cart. Then I asked,"How are we going to get the cart down in the sewers?"
"We have another entrance through the subway." He said, and then turned to go down a set of stairs. I followed him as he clambered down carefully, trying not to hurt the glass things inside the cart. Once at the bottom, he weaved the cart around people, acting like no ones business. No one seemed to care, as per usual, anyway, not sparing a glance.
Glancing around to see if the coast was clear, he casually strolled down to where the trains rode on there tracks, keeping to the farthest right side. A train raced past, throwing my loose hair behind my shoulders.
It wasn't more than a few feet away from me, and I laughed at nothing in particular. It was a semi-quite walk. No words were spoken, but the loud rumblings filled in the silence.
It didn't take long until Donnie turned down a tunnel to the right, unnoticeable unless you were specifically looking for it. I kept walking, become confused as to where in the world Donnie had went, backtracking to where he had disappeared.
Fortunately, I found the tunnel, and headed into it, seeing Donnie up ahead. He had stopped and was looking back at me, and only went forward when I was right behind him. We started going again, obviously ready to be home.
A few minutes later, we finally got to the lair. Eye ridges were raised until I showed them the puppy, and they got that look on their face, telling me that they were already in love with Watson.
Donnie wheeled the cart to the lab, and I followed him, laughing at how Watson was looking around with his tongue hanging limply off the side of his mouth. His tail was wagging, and he looked as if he couldn't wait to explore. He didn't even do a double take to the others appearances.
Donnie started unloading the cart, already switched to his turtley form, and put the bowls on the ground by his table. I put Watson down on the floor, where he abruptly sped off, sniffing around everywhere at everything.
I giggled, and he instantly stopped, looking over at me curiously, head cocked to the side. I laughed once more and went to help Donnie, who was already almost finished. I looked at the cage, which had been secure at the bottom of the cart until now, and picked it up gently.
I walked out of the lab, informing Donnie of what I was about to do, and went searching for Raph. I found him in the training room, punching away at a dummy in the corner.
I hid the cage behind my back as best as I could and walked up to him, not able to keep the grin from forming on my face. He paused his training and looked over at me, smiling just a bit.
"Hey, Tri. Whatsup?" He painted slightly, relaxing his stance. I couldn't keep from squealing when I announced,
"I got you a new pet!"
He looked shocked as I pulled the cage from behind my back, having successfully hidden it from his view.
"You're joking?" He asked, and I shook my head."You're not joking?" I laughed and nodded, opening up the cage. I pulled out the small animal, and Raph's eyes went wide within his mask. "You got me a puppy?"
I nodded once more, and handed the small puppy to him, at which he cradled it in his arms, rubbing behind its ear softly. It was almost exactly like Watson, but only in bodily features. Instead, it was almost pure white, the only discoloration was on its back, which had black marks and scribbles on it. It's eyes were a solid cobalt blue, reminding me of Ren, the tiger from Tigers Curse.
"It's a girl." I told him, and he nodded, not tearing his eyes away from the new puppy. "What are you going to name her?" I asked him, reaching my hand out to stroke her fur.
He thought, looking at the puppy intently before deciding. "Blaze."
"It's a very pretty name for her." I said truthfully, and he smiled at me.
"Thanks." I smiled, informing him about the toys and food dishes that were already in his room.
"We also got her her own bed, but she looks like a cuddler, just like Watson. She'll probably end up sleeping with you." He nodded at this information."We are going to have to show them to Sensei, to get his approval."
He followed me out of the training room, where I turned to go get Watson. In the lab, Watson was now snuggling in Donnie's lap while he worked on something. He stopped tinkering when I got in. handing me Watson without, well maybe a little, complaint.
I held Watson in my arms as we went down the hall. While walking, Watson moved himself to where his paws were on either side of my neck, hugging my shoulders. He looked up at me before his pink tongue picked out, licking the whole side of my face.
"Eww Watson!" I complained, wiping my face on my shoulder. He looked at me innocently as I playfully growled and laid his head on my shoulder. Raph snickered behind me, along with everyone else who had decided to tag along.
We got to Sensei's door, and Leo knocked on it gently. We were told to enter, and we all obediently did so, me and Raph in the back. Once we were in, Sensei's eyes widened at the animals, but he didn't yell with rage or anger or anything. He simply looked at them.
Before I could say anything, Raph beat me to it. "Sensei. I hope it's okay that they're here. Can we please keep em'?"
Sensei thought it over for a minute before replying,"Yes it is fine. They will make great companions." And then, almost like an afterthought, mumbled,"Yin and Yang." I was too happy to take that into mind though, and happily went with everyone else when we were excused.
We spent the remainder of the day talking and laughing at how the pups wrestled and played, not a care in the world. Not even a thought of how we hadn't returned the shopping cart.

A/N
So... How was this chapter?
I hoped you liked it. Oh, and I got the idea of getting Raph a new pet from GreenNinja. Green, I hope you don't mind this. If so, then I will not hesitate to change it.
No, these puppies are not going to be mutated, incase you were wondering. if you weren't, now you're probably wondering what they would be like if they were. If you weren't thinking that, you are now. If not, I congratulate you. *Applauds politely while sips tea and twiddles mustache*
Anywhale, I must be going.

(I think I have been reading too many British fanfictions. Like no joke, my library is full of Sherlock fanfictions right now, and the accents are rubbing off. I had this one thing where I was talking like PewdiPie for like a week. Such a strange condition...)
