Yasuko's POV
Our weapons clashed, the sound of metal hitting metal ringing throughout the clearing. Pushing off, I switched my kunai to my left and reached for my katana with my right. Slipping the sword out of it's sheathe, I stood in a defensive stance.
"I see you have been taught the way's of a swordsman." Kakashi mused as he brought out three kunai.
"Hai! One of Papa's friends taught me since I was given my katana when I was five." I grinned at the thought of Papa's partner.
When I turned five, Papa had given me a katana that was passed down through my mama's side of the family. Tracing back, Papa's family found that Mama was a direct descendent of Uchiha Izuna, one of the great clan leaders and was believed to be the original holder of the katana. Papa said that the katana was once Mama's most treasured weapons and in turn it was the same for me.
A/N This sword was mentioned in Chapter 7: We Miss You
Kisame had taught me in kenjutsu. The training was brutal, which was expected from one of the members of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. At the end of each day, I would come back with Kisame covered in cuts and blood. He never held back, but that's what made me stronger. I learned his ways after two years, and then he took me to learn from the rest of the Seven Swordsmen he stayed in contact with. I became a master in kenjutsu that I was one par with my teachers.
"Is that so? Then I guess it's time to show me what you got, ne?" Kakashi smirked.
Smiling cheekily at him I nodded.
"Hai!"
I charged forward, clashing my katana with his kunai and held my ground using chakra. Pushing down and bit, I focused on my chakra and thought of my katana as just another limb. Soon, flames began to surround the blade. After a few months of training with my sword, I learned that I was able to fuse it with ninjutsu. After mastering my skills with Kisame, I spent the rest of my training under his supervision by practicing how to fuse my jutsus with my ken.
When I fused it with certain nature infinities, I learned that the sword would surround itself in flames, corresponding to the element. With my three-chakra natures, the sword would surround itself in pale blue flames for wind, ocean blue for water, and red for fire.
I grinned at Kakashi as he stared in awe at the sudden change in my sword. Using the distraction, I switched my grip on my katana so the length of the blade was against my arm –as if I was holding a kunai– and pressed against Kakashi's kunai. Pivoting my feet, I released the chakra that helped me hold my ground causing Kakashi to push forward. Using the momentum, I twisted around Kakashi and slashed at him from behind, only to have him dodge and jump back. I narrowed my eyes as Kakashi smirked.
"You're skill is no doubt, not those of a Genin." Kakashi mused.
"Of course Kakashi-oji. You did not expect that an S-Rank organization would allow a girl like me to be left untrained, no? Especially one who is the daughter of Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Haruka, the Thorned Flower of the Leaf." I smiled when Kakashi's eyes widened at the newfound information.
A/N Can someone give me a better nickname for her mom. Her mom specializes in jutsus that incorporate flowers and kenjutsu. Like how Shisui has a flicker technique, and Itachi uses crows, Haruka uses flowers in her clones quite similar to Konan.
Taking a new stance, I focused my chakra into my katana. My eyes were focused on Kakashi as I stood completely still. I placed my kunai back in my weapons pouch and held the hilt of my katana with both hands. Flipping it around, I pieced the fiery blade into the ground, and muttered a jutsu under my breath.
"Kenjutsu: Katon: Piasu Hiryū no Jutsu."
(Sword Technique: Fire Style: Piercing Fire Dragon Jutsu.)
A/N This is an original Jutsu. Don't steal please!
Piercing Fire Dragon Jutsu. One of the many jutsus I have created with my sword. This technique was very similar to the earth jutsu that Kakashi had used on Sasuke and the Great Dragon Fire Technique. Like the fire release jutsu, my jutsu compressed a large amount of chakra into my body and changed into a dragon shaped fireball. But instead, the compressed energy would travel through my sword, into whatever I pierced and to my target.
This technique is an A-Ranked and mainly used for assassination as you can stab your opponent and have them burned to death and leave no evidence of the body.
I grinned when Kakashi was suddenly forced to jump a few meters back when a dragonhead suddenly crashed out of the ground where he once stood. The dragon flew before disappearing into smoke. I stared at Kakashi's shocked face with my clan's infamous smirk.
'Let the games begin.'
Kakashi's POV
I stared transfixed at the skill that Yasuko had shown me.
'She is without a doubt, the daughter of the Uchiha prodigy, Uchiha Itachi, and The Thorned Slower of the Leaf, Uchiha Haruka.'
I used my kunai to deflect the incoming projectiles that were suddenly thrown at me. My eyes widened a fraction when Yasuko took out smoke bomb. I tried to sense for her in the smoke only to curse under my breath when I realized she concealed her chakra again. I turned at the last second, my kunai clashing with her katana. We continued this dangerous dance before she jumped back, sheathing her katana and forming rapid hand signs.
She ended with the tiger technique but as she blew out a massive orb of roaring flames, I couldn't help but notice that the gold flakes in her eyes seem to have brightened. I gasped as the flame suddenly divided into two and came at me from both sides. I formed a series of hand signs as the dragons came my way, no doubt for the intent to kill.
Before the dragons could reach me, I used the same technique to evade Yasuko's attack that I had used on Sasuke.
'Let's see if she's the same as her uncle in this way.'
Yasuko's POV
I straightened my form as my dragons hit Kakashi. I narrowed my eyes when I felt his chakra signature suddenly disappear. I closed my eyes and felt for his chakra, but snapped them open when I felt him underground. I jumped in time to avoid Kakashi from grabbing my ankle. Flipping in the air, I landed in a crouched position before taking out a kunai and placing it in front of me defensively.
"Hmmm... It seems that you are different from your uncle, Yasuko. Your uncle was dumb enough to not think of looking below him when I evaded his fire jutsu." Kakashi said.
My eyebrow twitched when I heard him insult my family. "Kakashi-oji, I may love you like family, but please do not say ill things of my uncle," I said in a sickly sweet voice, "It may just end you."
Kakashi's face paled at my tone suddenly. I raised an eyebrow when he suddenly shook his head and stared at me, while mumbling something under his breath. I tilted my head and stared at him quizzically.
'Huh?'
Kakashi's POV
"Kakashi-oji, I may love you like family, but please do not say ill things of my uncle," Yasuko said in a sickly sweet tone, "It may just end you."
I paled as I remembered being in the same situation with another bubbly Uchiha.
Flashback
I stared at the young Uchiha girl in front of me. I raised an eyebrow as she continued to stare at me. Her eyes slowly narrowed before blinked. She rubbed her eyes before looking up at me and pouting.
"Haruka... what are you doing?' I asked.
"Well, we were having a staring contest and I lost." She stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"We were?" I asked.
"Yeah! I was bored so we had a staring contest."
"Shouldn't you be with your Genin group? If I remembered correctly, all Genin groups were to have a training session today."
"How would you even know that? You're not even a Genin anymore."
"I may not be a Genin but Rin and Obito are still training to become Chūnin. The exam is soon and they're training."
"Honto? That's why sensei said to train harder."
"Hmmm?"
"Sensei said that we should train harder became she signed my team for an exam coming up. She must have been talking about the Chūnin Exams."
"You really think that someone who's basically just fresh out of the Academy could pass the exams?" I asked.
"Kakashi-sempai, I may love you like a brother, but please don't speak ill of me," her tone was sickly sweet, "It may end you one day."
I shivered, feeling an ominous aura surround the young Uchiha. I swallowed thickly and nodded my head rapidly.
"Good to know you understand." She smiled cheekily at me. I sweat dropped at her sudden change of personality.
'Note to self, never get on Haruka's bad side.'
Flashback End
I shook my head as I stared at my student.
'She looks so much like her father, yet she acts too much like her mother. I just hope she hasn't obtained Haruka's subtle sadistic streaks.'
"Oh Kami-sama please help us if she has." I mumbled under my breath.
"Kakashi-oji, shall we continue?" I heard Yasuko ask.
Smirking under my mask I send her my infamous closed eye smile. Grabbing a kunai, I flipped it in the air before catching it and getting into a defensive stance.
"Only if you're ready." I replied.
Yasuko smiled, only giving me one reply before she charged at me with a kunai in hand.
"I am always ready."
Yasuko's POV
I charged forward, my kunai clashing with Kakashi's, before taking out another and slashing it at him. Before it could do any damage, Kakashi jumped back, throwing his kunai at me. I dodged before the weapon could lodge itself in my left leg. I narrowed my eyes as strategies ran through my mind.
I threw two kunai at Kakashi and charged forward with a chakra infused punch. Having been distracted by dodging the two kunai, Kakashi realized my intentions too late. When my fist made contact with Kakashi's stomach, his eyes widened as he was suddenly thrown back, crashing through several trees.
Kakashi groaned as he sat up from his position against a broken tree. I bit my lip feeling worried but reminded myself that this was an exam and he was the enemy right now.
"Are you okay, Kakashi-oji?" I asked out of habit.
"Hai, just didn't expect you to punch like that." He said.
"Well, I guess I will just head back to the logs. It will be noon in ten minutes." I said. This caused Kakashi to raise an eyebrow at me.
"You're not going to grab a bell?" Kakashi asked.
"Well I would have but I grabbed this instead." I said as I lifted up Kakashi's book.
Kakashi gasped as he patted himself down for his book only to realize that the book in my hand really was his. His eyes narrowed at me before he stood up.
"Yasuko, give me back my book." Kakashi said darkly. I almost gave in and apologized seeing the look in his eyes, but stopped myself.
I placed a hand on my chin as I looked up at the sky, as if pondering on my decision. "Hmmm... yea-no. If you want it, you are going to have to come and catch me." Before Kakashi could speak, I ran as if my life depended on it, which it kind of did. Especially when Kakashi was chasing me like a madman.
I jumped from tree to tree, using chakra to push my faster.
'Come on, almost there.'
When I caught sight of a familiar clearing I sighed in relief and jumped towards the ground. I used chakra to break my fall and blew a low whistle before turning to face Kakashi, only to find that he wasn't there anymore. I gasped as arms encircled me, pulling me towards a hard chest,
"Now where do you think you're going, Yasuko?" Kakashi muttered darkly.
"W-well I was thinking of taking a stroll through the grounds. You kn-know it's a very pretty day today." I laughed nervously.
Seeing the evil glint in his eyes, I smacked Kakashi in the face with his book, mentally apologizing for my actions, causing him to let go of me and fall backwards. Before I hit the ground, I landed on my feet and jumped away from the now happy Jōnin who was snuggling with his book. Before Kakashi noticed, I made two shadow clones and let one replace me, while I hid with the other.
Shrouding our chakra, my clone and I watched the other clone and Kakashi fight using taijutsu. Taking out a kunai, my eyes met familiar blue ones at the other end of the clearing. I nodded, giving the signal and sliced one of the chakra strings, Ru doing the same at the other end of the clearing.
The clearing we were in hid all the traps that Ru and my clone set up while Kakashi was explaining the bell test. My plan from the beginning was to ask everyone if they wanted to team up, and if that plan failed, I was to lead Kakashi here and use my clones to assist in grabbing the bells.
I watched as Kakashi dodged the weapons that were thrown from the traps.
"Oh, so you set traps as well? You were certainly prepared Yasuko." Kakashi complimented.
"Thank you, but now it not the time for flattery. There is only 5 minutes left till the alarm rings and I have not gotten a bell yet." My clone grinned as she snapped the string of another trap. Everything was silent until Kakashi jumped up to avoid the giant log that was coming his way. Glancing at my clone I nodded, my plan slowly beginning to take action.
As my clone fought Kakashi, Ru continued to set off the traps to further distract him. I made my way to the final trap, took out a kunai, and waited for the perfect chance. I stared down at the fight below and looked off into the forest shadows where my second clone gave me the signal. I nodded and let my first clone get his by the kunai Kakashi had thrown. I frowned a bit as Kakashi began to panic, but when my clone poofed away, Kakashi gasped.
"I was fighting a shadow clone the entire time? But when did she?" Kakashi muttered.
My clone nodded as I gave her the signal, and charged as Kakashi with katana in hand. She clashed weapons with Kakashi, pushing him back to the opposite side of the clearing. Getting ready for the perfect timing and placement, I waited with my kunai ready. When Kakashi was directly across from me, nearly against a tree, I snapped the string and let the final phase of my plan take place.
Kakashi's eyes narrowed when my clone disappeared only for them to widen when shuriken pinned him onto the tree behind him. Before Kakashi could unpin himself, he noticed that he couldn't move at all.
Eight shuriken were thrown at Kakashi, four pinning him down and the other four against the tree. But the four against the tree has wires attached, which had wrapped themselves around the tree, effectively pinning the Jōnin down.
Jumping down from my place, I smiled at Kakashi as he stared at me with stunned eyes. Before he could speak, I took the balls from his waist. I smiled as I threw them in the air and caught them again. Taking out a kunai, I sliced the wires that held Kakashi down and grabbed my weapons, placing them back in my weapons pouch.
"H-how-" Kakashi said still shocked.
Giggling, I face Kakashi with a bright smile as I patted Ru's head for a job well done. "It was my plan from the start." I said.
"Plan?"
"Hai. When you were explaining the test, I had a clone and Ru preparing traps in this clearing," I began. "I asked the team if they wanted to team up to grab the bells but when they declined I took it upon myself to do so. When I took your books, I ran here where step two of my plan would be set. When you were distracted hugging your book, I took the chance to create two more clones, one to replace me, and another to stay on standby. Ru and I triggered the traps when you were in the right position.
I then started the next phase, which started when I let you hit my clone. When this happened I was already set in the tree for the last phase. My other clone came out and pushed you towards the opposite side of the clearing from where I was. When you were in the right position, I let my clone disappear and trapped you against the tree using shuriken and wires. I got the bells when you were pinned down and now we are here. It was all part of my plan." I explained.
"And you thought of all of this when?" Kakashi asked.
"Umm... Right before you came."
Kakashi stared at me before shaking his head and ruffling mu hair. "You never cease to surprise me, Yasuko." Kakashi mumbled affectionately. I smiled at him. "Well I do love surprises, especially when I am the one giving them. Oh and Kakashi-oji, you should head back to the meeting place, Naruto-nii's trying to eat our lunches that you brought."
Kakashi raised an eyebrow before looking towards the logs. His eyes narrowed when he sensed that I was right. Muttering to himself he nodded at me before transporting to where the other were.
I smiled to myself as I held the bells in my hand. I placed a hand on my chest realizing that despite the victory, I didn't feel like I accomplished anything. I sighed sadly knowing why I felt this way. Ru rubbed his head against my side making me smile, even if it was only a little. I rubbed his ears in thanks.
The clearing was filled with silence until the ring of the alarm echoed throughout the training grounds, signaling the end of the test. I hummed as Ru and I made our way to where the rest of the team was. When we made it to the meeting place, my eyes met with nearly identical ones that held worry in them.
"Are you okay, Hime?"
Sasuke's POV
I scowled as I sat with the rest of the team.
'Damn it; if only I didn't waste time my time talking. I already touched the bell...'
My thoughts were suddenly caught off when I caught sight of Yasuko. Ru was by her side, but her eyes held sadness in them as she walked towards us. When her eyes met mine, I couldn't help but feel worried.
"Are you okay, Yasuko?"
She nodded at me, a small smile on her lips as she walked up to me. She placed a small peck on my cheek and hugging me before walking to the others and doing the same. Naruto and Sakura blushed at her sudden act, while I stared at her in confusion. She only smiled at me before sitting beside me, her legs tucked under her, while she pet Ru who now had his head on her lap.
Soon Kakashi stood in front of us with a closed eye smile, as if mocking us. Taking out three lunch boxes he placed them in front of us. As if on cue, all of our stomachs growled.
"Oh, your stomachs are growling, eh? You guys did waste all your energy and it is lunch time after all," Kakashi stated, "By the way, about the results of this training... Well, none of you need to return to the Ninja Academy."
I stared at him confused. 'But wasn't the point of this test was to get a ball? Or was it to show our skill as a Genin?'
"What? But all I did was faint. Was that okay?" Sakura asked. I smirked as Naruto and Sakura danced for joy, well as much as the dobe could, being tied up to one of the stumps.
"Does this mean we four?" Naruto asked hopefully.
"Yeah, you three," Kakashi smiled, "should quit being ninja!"
That statement alone caused us to freeze, but one thing caught my attention.
'Three?'
"Quit being ninja, what do you mean?!" Naruto complained, "We couldn't get a bell, but why do you have to say we should quit?"
"It's because you three are just kids who don't even deserve to be ninja." Kakashi stated.
I scowled, got up and changed forward with a kunai. When I was just a foot away, I suddenly found myself on my stomach with Kakashi on my back and his foot on my head. My left are was held back as I struggled to be released.
"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura yelled.
"See? You three are just kids."
'Again with the three, there are four of us. Who is not included?'
"Don't step on Sasuke-kun!" Sakura yelled at Kakashi.
"Do you guys think being a ninja is easy?" Kakashi questioned us, "Why do you think we're training by breaking up into groups?"
"What do you mean?" Sakura asked.
"In other words, you three don't understand the answer of this test."
"The answer?" Naruto repeated.
"That's right. The answer to determine whether you pass or fail."
"We've been asking what that was..." Sakura said.
"Geez, are your brains empty? You don't understand why you're all in a group?"
"So what about four people being in a group?" Naruto said frustrated.
"Yasuko?" Kakashi sighed.
We all turned our heads to the young Uchiha who sat calmly with her head down as she pets Ru. She glanced up as she bit her lip, her eyes filled with disappointment. "The answer is teamwork." She stated with a small frown.
"You mean cooperate with each other?" Sakura asked.
"That's right. But it's too late even if you notice now. If all four of you came at me at once, maybe you could have gotten a bell. But that's too bad." Kakashi taunted.
"Why do we need to use teamwork when there's only three bells?" Sakura asked, "If four people work hard to get it, one person will have to bite the bullet. A group conflict would occur instead of teamwork."
"Of course. This test tries to pit you four against each other. In this situation, we select those who can prioritize teamwork before themselves. That was the purpose, but three of you were pathetic. Sakura! You cared more about Sasuke than Naruto, even though Naruto was right in front of you and you didn't know where Sasuke was. Naruto! All you did was work on your own."
I felt Kakashi place more pressure on my head as he spoke to me.
"And you assumed that those three were only going to burden you and did everything yourself. Yasuko was the only one who understood the concept of this test."
We all felt ashamed of ourselves, remembering when Yasuko asked if we wanted to work together.
"She asked all of you to team up with her, but you all ignored her. Not only is she 4 years younger than you three, but also the only one worthy of becoming a ninja. Missions are done in groups. It's true that ninjas need well-developed individual abilities, but I's teamwork that is much more important. An individual action that disrupts the teamwork will result in danger or even death for the teammates. For example..."
My eyes widened slightly when I felt cold metal being pressed against my neck.
"Sakura! Kill Naruto or Sasuke's going to die!"
"Kakashi-oji, I suggest you let go of Sasuke-oji." We all froze at the change of tone in Yasuko's voice.
It wasn't its usual happy tone. No, it was dark and dripping with venom. I glanced behind me and my eyes widened when I saw Yasuko standing behind Kakashi with a katana at his throat. Her head was bowed, her eyes shadowed by her hair. Kakashi's eyes were wide as well when he saw Yasuko standing beside him.
'Nani?! When did she get here?'
SKakshi slowly placed the kunai back into his weapons pouch while Yasuko did the same with her katana placing it back into it's sheathe.
"Ya-Yasu-chan." Sakura stuttered out.
"Aft someone gets taken hostage, you will be face with a difficult decision and someone will die. You must plan ahead and come up with strategies quickly. You could save the lives of your teammates, or risk the death of your whole team. Like what Yasuko did. She didn't wait for me to state my claim for Sasuke's life. Instead, she got up with her weapon drawn the second I took out my kunai. In every mission, you put your life on the line." Kakashi said as he got off me.
I stared at my niece as she watched Kakashi walk towards the memorial stone. Her eyes held deep sadness as she stared at the stone. My lips pursed as I remembered that many names of our clan were written down on the stone, including Yasuko's mom. I sat up facing the stone, and bowed my head in respect for those who died in battle. I felt someone take my head and saw Yasuko hold my hand in hers as she smiled at me. I returned it with my own and wrapped my arms around her waist. She stood in front of me, running her small hands through my hair.
"Look at this... the numerous names carved into this stone. All these names are those praised as heroes in this village." Kakashi said.
"I like that! I like that!" Naruto yelled gleefully, "I've decided that I'm going to have my name carved into that. A hero! I'm not going to die a useless death!"
I tightened my arms around Yasuko's waist, before getting up and heading back to the stumps with Yasuko in my arms. Her head lay on my shoulder as she hid her face in the crook of my neck.
'The dope doesn't understand what he's saying.'
"But they're not normal heroes." Kakashi informed Naruto. "So what kind of heroes were they?" Naruto asked. No one said anything as Naruto waited for an answer. "Come on, tell me."
"Those who were KIA." Kakashi answered.
"KIA?" Naruto asked. "Those who were killed in action." Sakura said softly.
The grin on Naruto's face slowly disappeared and replaced with shameful frown. I felt Yasuko's arms tighten around my neck as she snuggled deeper into my shoulder. My eyes narrowed as I read off some of the names of my fellow clansmen.
"This is a cenotaph. The names of my friends are carved here as well." We were silent before Kakashi turned to us.
"I'll give you one more chance. However, the battle for the bells will be much harsher after lunch. Eat only if you are up to the challenge. But! Don't let Naruto eat. This is punishment for breaking the rules and trying to eat lunch early. If anyone feeds him, the person will immediately fail. I'm the rule here. Got it? Yasuko, give me back the bells." Kakashi said.
We all turned to Yasuko who has now lifted her head off my shoulder to stare at Kakashi with a smile.
'She got the bells?'
"Gomen ne, Kakashi-oji, but I don't have your bells." Yasuko stated. "Oh? Then were are they?" Kakashi asked. "Why don't you ask the others? They might know." I stared at Yasuko in confusion.
'I don't have a bell, and Sakura and Naruto definitely don't. Why is she telling Kakashi to ask us? Unless...'
My thoughts flashed to when Yasuko kissed my cheek and hugged me, doing the same to the others.
'She couldn't have....'
Holding Yasuko up with one arm, I placed my other hand in my pocket only to feel cool metal and hear the distinct sound of a bell. My eyes widened as I took it out and stared at the bell in the palm of my hand.
'What?'
"Eh, how did one of the bells get in my pocket?" Sakura asked.
"Matte! Someone check if I have one!" Naruto yelled.
I walked up to him and placed my hand in one of the pockets of his jumpsuit and took out another bell. I stared at Yasuko who was staring at Kakashi with a wide smile.
'Did she really?'
"Look Kakashi-oji. They all got a bell. That means you can not fail them!" Yasuko said excitedly, but I could hear the sad tone hidden behind her words.
'She always talked about hos she wanted to become a kunoichi of a village. Yasuko said it was her dream to be one just like Haruka-nee. I can't just take away her dream from her.'
"Then I guess you'll be the one to head back to the Academy, huh, Yasuko?" Kakashi muttered, "I guess its set, I'm sorry Yasuko but-"
"Matte," I interrupted.
Everyone stared at me as I took Yasuko's hand and placed the ball in her hand. "Here Hime. You always said that you wanted to be a kunoichi like your mom. Now it can come true." Yasuko stared at me with wide eyes as she looked between the bell and me.
"Sasuke-kun," I heard Sakura whisper. I turned to her and saw her bow and hold her bell towards me, "Please take my bell. You're the top graduate and I don't mind going back to the Academy. I still have much to learn anyway."
We all turned to Naruto who had his head bowed. Looking up he stared at Sakura with sad eyes. "Sakura-chan, t-take my bell, ne? I still have a lot of practice to do anyway. The Academy will help me with that so I don't mind going back."
"No," Yasuko said, "You all take the bells. I am four years younger than you. I do not mind going back to the Academy. It is just another year anyway. I have only been at the Academy for a few days, so you guys take the bells."
"You know what! If one of us leaves we'll all go! We're a team, believe it!" Naruto yelled.
Yasuko and Sakura smiled at Naruto's statement while I smirked.
'Maybe this team ain't that bad.'
We all stared at Kakashi as he stared right back at us.
"So, who's going to the academy?" He asked.
All our eyes narrowed at him. "If one of us goes we all go." Sakura said.
"Yeah! You said that we have to work as a team, believe it!"
"Hn, we're a four man team aren't we?"
"We are one after all, Kakashi-oji."
"You guys are one, eh?" Kakashi stared at us menacingly. "You pass!" Kakashi clapped giving us a closed eyed smile.
"Eh?" Sakura blinked. "Pass? Why?"
"You guys are the first although you changed my mind in a different way than I expected." Kakashi said, "You guys were all willing to go back to the Academy if it meant that one of you were to go back. That's what a team is about. To never leave anyone behind no matter what they say. In the world of ninja, those who break the rules are scum. But those who don't care about their friends are worse than scum."
"He's... he's kinda cool." Naruto tears up a bit.
"The training end here. Everyone passes! Team 7 will start doing mission starting tomorrow!" Kakashi said.
"Yes sir!" Sakura said.
"Yeah! I'm a ninja! I'm a ninja!" Naruto cheered.
I smirked as I hugged Yasuko. She smiled at me.
"Congratulations Sasuke-oji." Yasuko whispered as she hugged me. "Congratulations Hime." I smiled.
"Let's go home." Kakashi said as he walked down the path back to the village's main shopping district.
Letting Yasuko down I held her hand. Slipping her hand out of mine I stared at her quizzically.
"Go on ahead. I will meet you at the dango shop in a few." She muttered to me. Nodding my head I ruffled her hair and jogged up to Kakashi and Sakura. Together we walked out way back to grab lunch.
Yasuko's POV
I watched as Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke made their way back into the main part of the village. I giggled as I heard Naruto's yells to untying him. Taking out a kunai I walked up to Naruto and cut the ropes. Naruto grinned and thanked me before catching up to the others. I smiled gently at the scene of my team walking together with smiled on their faces.
I stared down at Ru as he nudged my hand and sent me a meaningful stare. I took a deep breath and sighed as I stared up at the sky. A sad smile crept its way onto my lips.
'Maybe I can trust them with a part of my past that even Papa doesn't know about, maybe, but not now. When the time is right, I'll tell them... Ru-kun.'
