Ch.11 Bell Test

So in case someone noticed, yes I did skip chapter 10. I haven't finished it since it's not part if the Naruto Storyline and is basically a filler on her weekend meeting the rest of the Rookie Nine and team Gai. I did finish like three chapters of the Naruto Storyline so I decided to just post this chapter and chapter 10 once I'm done. Sorry if it's inconvenient.

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or the storyline. Only my OCs, some Justus and any changes that are seen in this fanfiction. Everything else belongs to Masashi Kishimoto and TV Tokyo.

Yasuko's POV

It was finally Monday, meaning that we were having the bell test today. The sun was already up in the sky showing that I was late for the survival training, but after living with Kakashi, I knew he was going to be late anyway. So instead of getting up to leave for the meeting at 5, I woke up at 8 and got ready and left the house around 9 after waking Kakashi and leaving him a cooked meal on the dining table. I giggled as I thought about what happened this morning.

Flashback

I sighed. It was already 9 and we were supposed to meet the team at 5. We left them standing there for 4 hours already, and they probably didn't breakfast either.

I went to Kakashi's room and knocked on his door. When I got no reply, I turned the doorknob and stealthily walked inside and saw that he was fast asleep. Poking him did nothing, so I shook him by his shoulders, but the only reaction I got was having my hands waved away and Kakashi turning onto his other side. Pouting to myself I grabbed the blanket and pulled it off.

Under the blue covers was a sleeping Kakashi wearing nothing but his boxers. I stifled my giggles when I saw that his boxers were covered in puppies, dog bones, and paw prints.

I smiled and walked into the adjoined washroom. Grabbing the cup that was on the counter, I placed cold water in the cup. I placed the cup on the ground beside the bed and made some hand signs. I watched as the water from the cup floated and grew into a ball of water about the size of a soccer ball. Moving my hands a bit, the water followed until it was over Kakashi's head.

Not wanting Kakashi to know about my ability to use water jutsus, I carefully grabbed the glass and with another hand sign, released the hold I had on the water. I watched as the ball of ice-cold water fell onto Kakashi, causing him to jump up 3 meters and fall back onto his bed soaked and shivering.

"Y-Yasuko! Wh-what the fu-fudge was th-that?!" Kakashi stuttered almost cursing.

Grabbing a towel from his bathroom, I handed it to him to dry off.

"Well, from the time we already left the rest of the team waiting for 4 hours. Now get up! I do not want them angrier with is for leaving them for any longer. Please get ready and head to the training grounds. Knowing you, you will probably be there in an hour or so. I already made you breakfast. It's on the dining table." I said.

"Hai hai, I'll see you soon, Yasuko." Kakashi said as he ruffled my hair.

Smiling up at him, I nodded and made my way to the training grounds.

Flashback End

Now here I am, only a few minutes away until I reach the training grounds. I skipped my way towards the team, with three packages filled with a bowl of ramen. Knowing I wouldn't be able to see where I was going, Ru carried two in a plastic bag with his mouth. When I made it to the training grounds, I bit my lip feeling guilty when I heard their stomachs growl.

"Ohayo, Sasuke-oji, Sakura-nee, Naruto-nii." I smiled sheepishly as I walked up to them.

"Yasu-chan, where have you been? You're already 4 hours late." Sakura scolded me.

I shuffled on my feet as I looked at the ground, "Gomen, but after living with Kakashi-oji for a while, I learned about his habits, and being late is one of them." I replied.

"Ehhh? Yasu-chan! Why didn't you tell us before, believe it?!" Naruto complained. This caused me to blush in embarrassment as I stared at the ground. "I would have told you before I left, but Kakashi-oji transported us away before I could." I explained.

Seeing their tired faces, I turned to Ru and took the plastic bag, patting his head in thanks. "I knew that you would have listened to Kakashi-oji's warning, so I bought some ramen on my way here." I mumbled as I took out the three packages of ramen from the plastic bags.

"YEAH RAMEN! THANK YOU YASU-CHAN! I'M STARVING, BELIEVE IT!" Naruto cheered.

Smiling, I handed one to him before turning to the other two members of the team. "Would you like some as well, Sakura-nee, Sasuke-oji?" I asked, holding a bowl out for each of them. Sasuke glanced at me before glancing away. "No thanks, Hime. I'm not hungry." Sasuke mumbled.

My smiled strained at this before staring at Sakura. I saw her glance at Sasuke, and then at the ramen, then back at Sasuke. "Y-yeah, it's o-okay Yasu-chan. I'm on a diet anyway." Sakura fibbed, smiling sheepishly at me.

I frowned at the two when I heard their stomach growl. "No eat." I said, forcefully placing the ramen in their hands with a pair of chopsticks, "You have been out here waiting for four hours, hungry and tired. If you went against Kakashi-oji during the test, then you might not have the energy to fight him, and your hiding places would be given away if your stomachs growl."

They both glanced at the ramen in their hands before staring back at me. Seeing a pout on my lips, the two stared at the ramen again before sighing and snapping their pair of chopsticks.

"Itadakimasu." The three said together.

Smiling to myself, I walked towards a tree that was close to the team and jumped onto one of the branches, Ru following behind me. Finding a comfortable position, I leaned against the trunk of the tree with one of my leg hanging off the branch. Ru made his way to me, placing his head on my lap. I smiled as I ran my fingers through his soft fur, and sighed sadly at my companion.

Glancing down at my teammates, I masked my chakra before silently jumping away, deeper into the forest. Ru hopped from branch to branch beside me. I jumped to the ground as I found a clearing. Making sure no one was around, I kneeled in front of my tiger friend.

"Ru-kun?" I whispered as I placed a hand on his head. Knowing my unasked question, the tiger nodded. I stepped back and watched as a slight glow surround my friend. Soon, the glow brightened before I was forced to turn away. As the light dimmed, I began to turn around before a pair of arms wrapped around my waist stopping me.

"Ko-chan." A soft voice whispered, causing me to tear up slightly. I turned around, wrapping my arms around the male's waist, as tears glided down my cheeks. Knowing that there was not much time, the male's arms tightened around me as he placed his chin on my head. I felt a hand stroke my hair as a soothing tune was released from the boy.

"I missed you." I whimpered.

"I am always with you."

"It is not the same."

Silence surrounded us before I felt him nod. "I know."

I felt Kakashi's chakra signature coming closer to the training ground causing me to tighten my hold on the male. "We have to go." Silence was my only answer before the boy released a sigh. "Let us go then."

Before we released our hold of each other, the male placed a tentative kiss on my cheek and soon after I did the same to him.

"I love you, Yasuko."

"I love you too... Mamoru."

Time Skip

"Hi fellows. Good morning." Kakashi said lazily with one hand up for a wave.

"YOU'RE LATE!" Sakura and Naruto cried in unison as they pointed at Kakashi in accusation.

"A black cat crossed my path, so...." Kakashi stopped when he say the deadpanned expressions on his students faces. Clearing his throat a bit, he moved on. "Alarm is set for 12 PM." Kakashi sat as he set an alarm on one of the three logs that stood in the center of the training ground.

The team and I stared at Kakashi confused, as he took out three bells from his pocket.
"Today's topic is to take one of these bells from me. Whoever can't will have no lunch," Kakashi announced, "I'm going to tie you to one of the logs and eat lunch in front of you." Kakashi's eyebrow rose when he saw the other three Genin sending him smug looks.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Kakashi muttered. "We ate breakfast Kakashi-sensei." Sakura explained.

"Hmmm... you did huh? And why didn't you follow my instructions despite my warning?"

"Yasu-chan brought us ramen an hour before you came, believe it!" Naruto grinned.

"Yasuko you say? Yasuko, I thought I told you no breakfast."

"And you said to be here at 5 AM. Looks like we both did not follow your orders. Plus it is only fair for us to eat if you, and if anything goes wrong, we ate an hour ago." I smiled.

Kakashi sighed and nodded.

"Let's get started then."

"But wait sensei," Sakura interrupted, "Why are there only three bells?"

"Since there's only three, at least one of you will have to be tied to a log. That person will fail since he failed to complete the mission. The person will go back to the academy. It might be just one, or all four. You can use your weapons. You won't be able to get this unless you have the will to kill me." It was Kakashi's turn to look smug.

"But that's too dangerous, sensei!" Sakura yelled.

"Sakura-nee, Kakashi-oji is a Jōnin, he is two levels above our own. He would be able to dodge simple weapons thrown by some fresh out of the academy Genin," I explained, "Kakashi-oji, can I use my katana?"

"Yasuko is right Sakura, and yes you can Yasuko. I see you're prepared to come at me with an intent to kill." Kakashi said as he surveyed what I was wearing.

For this survival training, I chose to wear one of my training outfits that I wore at the Akatsuki. I wore a blue, short-sleeved top with a hoodie, a black tank top underneath, white shorts that stopped a few inches above my knees, blue arm warmers with white lining, bandages covering my calves, back fingerless gloves, black shinobi sandals, and my forehead protector on my forehead. The back of my shirt held the Uchiha Clan symbol. What I wore was similar to what Sasuke was wearing.

I had strapped a weapons pouch just above my left knee, another on my upper thigh, and a weapons belt around my waist. I'm lucky that I am ambidextrous. I also had a katana that Papa had given to me on my 5th birthday strapped onto my back, which I had with me when I first came to Konoha.

The katana was sheathed in a beautiful black case with intricate designs and symbols. The hilt of the katana was black and held the Uchiha Crest on the bottom of the hilt. It was a true masterpiece created by one of the best craftsmen in the history of the shinobi world. Apparently, when they looked through Mama's history, they found that she was a direct descendent of Uchiha Izuna, one of the great clan leaders and was believed to be the original holder of the katana. It was passed down through the generations before landing into Mama's and now mine.

"Of course I am. I was taught to never underestimate my opponents no matter the situation, especially when I am up against a former ANBU captain." I grinned.

This caught the rest of the team's attention.

"ANBU?" They muttered.

"Haha, I don't know where you got that information but you can't just beat me with a few extra weapons." Kakashi chuckled.

"Sakura may be right though, Yasu-chan. That thing about him being ANBU is probably false. He couldn't even dodge that chalk eraser!" Naruto exclaimed.

"In society, those who don't have many abilities tend to complain more. Just ignore the guy with the lowest score. We're going to start after I say 'ready, start'." Kakashi said.

I frowned a bit when Kakashi insulted Naruto, but before I could stop him, Naruto ran at Kakashi with a kunai in hand. In a flash, Kakashi was behind Naruto, holding him in place.

"Don't get so hasty. I didn't say 'start' yet." Kakashi said.

Sakura and Sasuke backed up from the two, while I stood my ground, my hand gripping the kunai I took out.

"But it looks like you have the will to kill me now," Kakashi said as he let go of Naruto, "I think I can final start liking you three. Ready, start!"

With a leap, we all jumped for cover.

'A basic for a shinobi is to conceal his presence and hide.'

I leapt onto a tree and hid in the foliage. I glanced beside me when Ru appeared. Taking a quick glance around, I saw a glimmer of very thin chakra strings ready to be cut to set off any traps. Smiling, I jumped off to find another hiding place with Ru following me. I stopped in a tree that allowed me to see the current positions of my teammates.

I shrouded my chakra signature and saw Kakashi's eyes flicking around his surroundings, probably searching for my location. I smiled seeing as he couldn't find me.

The smile turned into a frown when I saw Naruto standing in front of Kakashi, challenging him to a fight. "Oh Naruto-nii..." I mumbled, mentally face palming.

"Let's have a match fair and square!" Naruto yelled.

"Hey, aren't you a little weird compared to the rest?" Kakashi asked.

"What's weird is your hairstyle!" Naruto pointed out as he ran at Kakashi.

"Ninja tactic know-how number one, taijutsu. I'll teach you that first." Kakashi said as he placed his hand in his weapons pouch. Naruto noticed as well and stopped his charge.

My eyebrows furrowed. 'He must know the location of the others.' I thought, 'He seems to be talking to the whole team, not just Naruto. But taijutsu is hand-to-hand combat, why is he grabbing a weapon?'

I frowned when Kakashi took out his weird book that he always read. Papa told me to never peek into those kinds of books after he saw me holding one of Hidan's copies. After taking it away from me he told me that he'd 'talk' to Hidan about leaving his things everywhere.

"What's the matter? Come and get me." Kakashi said as he read his book.

"But, um, um... Why did you take out a book?" Naruto asked.

"Why? I got curious as to how the story is going to develop," Kakashi stated lazily, "Don't worry about it. It's the same whether I read this or not."

"I'm going to pound you!" I sighed as Naruto's temper flared again. I watched, as all of his attempts to hit Kakashi were futile. Suddenly, Kakashi was behind Naruto in a squat position.

"A ninja should not let his enemy get behind him multiple times, baka."

My eyes widened when I saw Kakashi's hands positioned in the tiger seal.

'But that seal is used mostly for fire techniques,' My eyes narrowed when I didn't feel any change to Kakashi's chakra circulation. 'He isn't forming a jutsu... What is he planning?'

"Naruto, run! You're going to die!" Sakura yelled.

I yelped at the sudden yell and almost fell of the branch if Ru hadn't grabbed onto the back of my shirt with his mouth. If anyone were to see my current situation they would have though I were a tiger cub being carried by its mother. Ru pulled me back up onto the branch as I sighed in relief, but saw Kakashi glancing in our direction. I pouted knowing my location was found.

"You're too late," Kakashi said, "Leaf Village Secret Finger Jutsu: One Thousand Years of Death!"

I cringed when Kakashi stuck his fingers up Naruto's butt sending him flying into the lake. I blushed at the indecency of the attack but took this chance to swiftly and quietly find a new spot to hide with Ru. When I found a new spot, I blinked at Naruto, who was now dangling on a rope by his ankles.

'What did I miss?'

"Use you're techniques after thinking carefully. That's why it was used to your disadvantage, and... Don't fall for an obvious trap, stupid," Kakashi lectured, "Shinobi need to think beyond the normal."

"I already know!" Naruto yelled.

"I'm telling you this because you don't get it, got it?"

My head snapped to the trees when I saw shuriken being thrown in Kakashi's direction. I felt a sudden change in Kakashi's chakra, causing me to smile. I sighed when Naruto began to panic when Kakashi was 'hit' by the shuriken.

"Ah! He got hit!" Naruto panicked, "Sasuke overdid it!"

Before Kakashi's body could hit the ground, it was replaced with a log with Sasuke's weapons attached to it.

I saw Sasuke leap from tree to tree, no doubt trying to escape Kakashi before he could find him. I sighed when I saw Sakura follow after him. I made sure Kakashi wasn't in the area before jumping down and running to Naruto.

"Naruto-nii, do you need any help?" I asked as he struggled in his binding.

"N-nope! I'm perfectly fine Yasu-chan, believe it!" Naruto yelled.

I frowned knowing that Naruto was too stubborn and prideful to accept my help. Taking out a kunai, I threw it at the rope and cut Naruto loose. I gasped when Naruto landed on his head.

"Naruto-nii! Are you okay?" I panicked, knowing that his injury was my fault.

"Y-yeah... I'm okay." Naruto groaned out.

When Naruto stood up, I immediately pulled him out of the way, causing him to trip and land on his face, making me feel twice as guilty.

"Itai! What was that for Yasu-chan!" Naruto yelped, as he held his red face.

Slicing a piece off the log Kakashi used for his substitution jutsu, I held the piece of wood and placed one end near the base of the tree. In seconds, the piece of wood was handing in the air where Naruto once was.

"Kakashi-oji placed a second trap in case you escaped the first one. My guess was that he was saving time for himself to see and evaluate the rest of the team." I stated.

"O-oh! I knew that, believe it!" Naruto lied as he rubbed his neck sheepishly.

"Naruto-nii, do you want to team up? Together with Sasuke-oji, and Sakura-nee, we might be able to get the bells." I explained.

"Gomen Yasu-chan! But as the future Hokage I gotta do this myself! Don't worry, I'll get you a bell too, believe it!"

"But Naru-" Before I could finish, Naruto ran off in search of Kakashi.

I sighed but jumped as the sound of a shrill scream filled my ears.

'That sounded like Sakura-nee'

I ran towards where I sensed Sakura's chakra and found the pinkette passed out in the middle of a clearing. I narrowed my eyes and surveyed the area, but found no sign of Kakashi. Leaping out of the tree, I knelt beside Sakura and placed a hand on her forehead, a green chakra enveloping my hand. Using my medical ninjutsu, I analyzed Sakura's current situation.

'Sakura-nee seems to have fallen for one of Kakashi-oji's genjutsus, but he should have used another illusion! I could practically feel the fear radiating off of her!'

I sighed and let the green chakra slowly fade away. Placing my hands together, I focused my chakra and changed the hand sign so I was using one hand.

"Kai!" I muttered as I poked Sakura's forehead.
(Release)

I stumbled back as Sakura suddenly sat up, looking frantic. "Sa-Sasuke-kun!" She gasped. I placed my hands on her shoulders to hold her down. "Sakura-nee, calm down! Sasuke-oji is fine! It was a genjutsu!" I informed her.

"Gen-genjutsu?" Sakura muttered.

"Yes, it was only an illusion made by Kakashi-oji." I nodded.

Sakura sighed as she placed a hand on her chest and took deep breaths to calm her beating heart.

"Sakura-nee, do you want to team up? If we team up with Naruto-nii and Sasuke-oji, we may be able to grab the bells from Kakashi-oji." I asked.

"Good idea Yasu-chan! I'll go look for Sasuke-kun now!" Sakura said as she stood up and ran off to look for Sasuke.

"Ma-matte Sakura-nee!" I called out.

I pouted as Sakura disappeared from my view but tensed as I heard a voice speak up from behind me.

"Ninja tactics know-how number two, genjutsu. Sakura fell for it too easily." I turned and saw Kakashi reading his book, "It looks like it's your turn Yasuko. Ready?"

I shook my head no and saw Kakashi's eyebrow rise.

"I have not finished asking the team if they want to team up. I just need to ask Sasuke-oji now. I should be on my way. Ja ne, Kakashi-oji." I waved as Kakashi's eyes widened when my clone disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Kakashi's POV

"Kage Bushin no Jutsu? As expected from an Uchiha." I muttered.
(Shadow Clone Jutsu)

I closed my eyes and sighed once I couldn't locate Yasuko's chakra signature.

'Yasuko has great control over her chakra, and to be able to create a shadow clone without me noticing, she is without a doubt an Uchiha prodigy, just like her parents.'

I lazily walked out of the clearing where Sakura was caught in and leaned against a tree when I saw the top graduate come into my view. I read my book and listened as the boy spoke.

"Genjutsu, eh? A type of hallucinatory mind-controlling technique, it's no wonder she fell for it so easily. But... I'm different from the other two. I won't fall for any of your petty traps like them." Sasuke said.
"Why don't you say that after you get a bell, Sasuke-kun?" I stated as I pushed myself off the tree I was leaning against and walked up to Sasuke, stopping a few meters away.

We stood face to face, waiting for any signs of an attack. Sasuke took out kunai and shuriken, throwing them at me with great precision, but I easily evaded them.

"There's no use in just using normal attacks." I stated as I dodged the weapons.

Sasuke smirked and flung a kunai at rope. My eyes widened as I slowed myself.

'A trap?'

I jumped out of the way as kunai and shuriken embedded themselves in the tree I was previously in front of. I slowed myself and glanced behind me when I felt the presence of the Uchiha boy.

'What?'

I blocked the kick that was aimed for my face with my arm. I felt his left leg with my right hand and blacked the punch from his right hand with my left. Sasuke twisted in my grasp, aiming another kick with his left leg. I blocked with my forearm. My eyes widened when the Genin smirked and reached for the bells with his free hand.

'He's...'

Pushing him off, I jumped back, creating a distance between the two of us. We remained in a crouched position as we evaluated each other.

'What a guy... I don't have time to read Icha Icha Paradise.'

"I'll admit that you are different from the other two." I stated. "Hn." Sasuke quickly created hand signs ending with the tiger seal.

"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu!" Sasuke blew a huge fireball in my direction.
(Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique)

My eyes widened. 'What? That technique isn't something a Genin can do... He shouldn't have enough chakra.'

Creating quick hand signs, I dodged the attack.

Sasuke's POV

I blew a fireball at Kakashi and waited as the smoke dispersed. I tensed as I saw that no one was standing there.

'He's gone... is he behind me? Above me? Where is he?'

"Beneath you!" My eyes widened as I felt a hand grab my ankle.

"Wha-!"

"Doton: Shinjū Zanshu no Jutsu!"
(Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique)

Before I could escape I was dragged underground with only my head poking out. I glared at Kakashi as he smiled down at my with an annoying closed eyed smile.

"This is the third ninja tactics know-how, Ninjutsu. How is it? Can't move, right?" I turned my head away and glared.

"Looks like your talents are exceptional. But... they say that stakes that point out get driven back into the ground." I glared harder at Kakashi's back as he walked away.

"Damn it!" I scowled as I tried to escape.

"Do you need help, Sasuke-oji?" I looked up and saw Yasuko staring down at me from a tree branch.

Yasuko's POV

I bit my lip; worry filling me as I stared at my uncle's form. Jumping down, I crouched down in front of his bodiless form. "So do you, Sasuke-oji?" I asked. Sasuke blushed as he turned away with a slight blush. "If you would. Hime." I smiled and made a low whistle. Soon a blur of black and white made it's way to my side. I stared at my companion. "Ru?" The tiger nodded, placing his paws near Sasuke's head.

With a stomp of his two front paws, the ground around Sasuke's hand cracked, allowing the older Uchiha to wiggle himself.

"Arigatō, Hime." Sasuke muttered.

"No problem Sasuke-oji, but would you like to team up with me? If we get the others, we'll be able to get the bells." I said.

"No Hime, I can do this alone. I was able to touch the bells. I don't need the others. Just stay here and be safe. I'll get the bells for the two of us." Sasuke mumbled as he passed me.

I pouted at his retreating figure and jumped into the tress to search for Kakashi. I found him in the middle of clearing reading his book. Jumping down, I took out a kunai and threw it at him. Before it could reach him however, Kakashi caught it between his index and middle finger.

"I see you're finally going to fight Yasuko." Kakashi said as he looked up from his book.

"Hai," I smiled, "I have already asked the others if they wanted to team up, but they all had different ideas. Naruto-nii wanted to prove that he was strong enough to be the next Hokage, Sakura-nee only thought of Sasuke-oji, and Sasuke-oji thought that he could do it all by himself."

"At least you understand the concept of this exercise. Are you ready Yasuko?" Kakashi asked as he placed his book back in his weapons pouch and twirled my kunai.

"Huh? You are not going to read you book Kakashi-oji?" I asked.

"Hmmm.... I have a feeling that I won't have time to read it if it's you I'm up against."

I smiled at his comment and took out another kunai and got into position.

"Then let us begin... sensei."
