A week later, Avneet couldn't contain her excitement as she ran across the Nigam Mansion, searching for her best friend.

That was, until she bumped into someone.

The person was quick to hold her and prevent any injuries.

"Woah! Calm down girl. You could have fallen down the stairs and got yourself severely injured."

"Sorry Abhi bhaiya. But I have an amazing news to share with Ahana, but I can't find that indiot anywhere. I even searched the garden, kitchen, storeroom and......"

"Have you checked her room?" Abhishek cut her off.

"I forgot to check there." Avneet slapped her forehead and Abhi merely smiled, being used to her foolishness.

She hopped to the mentioned room and found her best friend lounging on the bed with eyes fixed on the phone's screen.

"AHANAAAAA........"

"You know you don't need to shout out my name when I am only two feet away from you." Ahana commented while covering her ears to save them.

"You won't believe the news that I have!"

"Let me take a guess......." she put a finger on her chin and pretended to think. "You bagged the role you had auditioned for."

"How did you know?"

"Oh come on Avu. I had accompanied you to the auditions and none of the other candidates were half as good as you."

"You're most likely flattering me but I don't mind it." Avneet grinned.

At that exact moment, Preeta entered the room with a tray of snacks for the girls.

"Can I know what's the reason of your happiness?" she smiled.

"Mom! Avu just bagged the lead role in the new show and she is soon going to get famous." Ahana squealed.

"That's great Avu. This calls for a party!" Preeta cheered and caressed Avneet's head as her mother would have done.

Avneet felt herself thanking God again for making her meet them. They were her family away from home and to be honest, she had never missed her family badly all the years she had been in Mumbai.

"I'm sure this deal will immensely profit both parties. Thank you for coming here with your deal." Abhishek shook hands with Ranbir and Aryan.

"We would like to thank you instead for sparing your precious time for us and accepting the deal." Ranbir smiled.

"Since we are business associates now, I would like to invite you to a party at our house tomorrow." 

"We'll surely be there."

"Thank you but we won't be able to come."

Ranbir and Aryan stared at each other for their completely contrasting replies. Aryan shook his head indicating to deny the offer but Ranbir wasn't in a mood to listen to him.

"He is an introvert but I will make sure he attends the party." Ranbir ignored Aryan and spoke to Abhishek who said his good byes before leaving for another meeting.

Siddharth whistled as he skipped to his room, longing to reunite with his beloved video game after a long and exhausting day. But, the sound coming from his parents' room made him stop in his tracks.

They seemed to be arguing about something. He wasn't someone who liked to eavesdrop but it was highly unusual for his parents to argue so seriously. Moreover, his and Ahana's name had reached his ears.

Just as he strained his ears to listen more, the door to his parents' room opened.

"Sid! Did you need something, son?" Karan was definitely surprised but he masked the expression to a smile which was followed by his wife at the back who was spotting a troubled face a few seconds before.

"Nothing, I was just passing by." He replied and retreated to his room.

Once inside the secure within the four walls of his room, he plopped down on the bed and let his brain ponder on the probable cause of the disagreement between his parents. Sure, they had their share of problems in the past but what was more important was that they were safe and together now.

His brain didn't have to work for a long time as his phone dinged, indicating a new notification from instagram.

His eyes sparkled as soon as he had seen whose post it was.

It was the person he loved, the one he earnestly wished to meet someday.

Soon enough, he was floating to his dreamland with his dreamgirl.
