A letter to those who have been strong. A letter for you because I know you may need these words. For those times when you keep your courage even when you are struggling in silence. A letter for you because, even if you're going through a difficult time, you must maintain a smile even when you're feeling down.

A nd these are the questions I want to ask: "Are you okay? How has your heart and mind been lately?"

Y ou don't have to fake it. You don't have to be okay all the time, because your emotions are all valid. And I want you to know that you're heard, seen, and I absolutely understand how you feel. So I'm writing to let you know that your feelings matter. Whatever it is. Life will not be easy, but I want you to know that you're not alone.

H ealing takes time, so give yourself enough of it. There is absolutely no pressure. Please do not be too hard on yourself. I understand when you choose to put pressure on yourself, when you allow your own judgment to cloud your judgment, and when you frequently turn angry over little things. But please don't hate yourself for these things; the what-ifs you may be thinking about right now are a waste of time. Don't waste your time on things that aren't worth it.

A nd I am proud of you for choosing to be strong no matter how many waves come your way. Remember this: you're important. Those things will eventually pass. You only need to believe in yourself. And have faith. Now is the time to make your own choices. There's nothing wrong with choosing yourself.

Note: Let us be clear here that these are my own personal thoughts and reflections and I don't mean to disregard or disrespect anyone on my prose. Wala po akong pinapatamaan, and if you don't like this please leave it alone.
