Kim's p o v 

It was a usual Monday morning, the start of a new week. I kicked the door of my car with my foot and hurried off towards the school building.

I reached my classroom just in time, teacher had  already entered the room . The day started with a boring class of calculus. As soon as the class got over, I took an anxious hundred and eighty degree turn just to find the last bench empty. 

He was not there! I gave out a sigh.

Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to find Venessa. I gave her a weak smile and drifted along with her to the gym. 
The gym room brought more of Jared's thoughts. The way the ball had hit me on the first day of school.

Embarrassment  at its peak , I stamped my foot on the floor hard enough to draw the attention of a few of my classmates. I gave them a silly smile and went to change into my gym clothes.

Not only was my encounter with Jared embarrassing but even the thoughts of that event bring embarrassment along with it.

Where was he? 

It had been two weeks. Where the hell was he. He was not in class and nowhere to be found near his house. Aunt Anne was no where to be seen. Jared's house was now all dull, no lights ,no sounds, nothing at all. No signs of human habitation. 

Paul had been there for most of the time and he did not seem quite happy himself. He was not that usual  person cracking jokes all the time. His jokes were absurd and silly but it was enough to cheer up the Melancholy Man - Jared. I was all the time eavesdropping , whenever possible..
I was stalking him all the time.
But now even Paul was absent for three consecutive days. What was happening to these boys.

Loud knock on the door startled me. I was jolted back into reality. 

But I could not dwell in a world of Jared's thoughts, I had to live in a world without him.Although I could not imagine how to live in the world, a world - void of him.
