THIRD-PERSON POV

15-year-old Shravya is sitting in front of the car with her father and her mother is smiling behind and listening to both of them.

"This is a gear you have to change whenever you accelerate the speed. "

"Ok….."

"So we start practicing tomorrow and today…"

"Funtime…."

Shravya screams loudly. She enjoys spending time with her parents very much. She wants to learn to drive from her father. So she was following her father for a long time with her pleadings. Right now her father is just sitting in the car and explaining everything to her so that he at least gives up on her demand as he doesn't want to teach her how to drive.

Shravya's mother also completely agrees with her husband that right now Shravya does not need to learn to drive a car at all. But due to the insistence of their daughter, both of them have gone out on a long drive at this hour just to tell her the features of the car so that her focus is more on having fun than driving so that she does not bother too much.

"Dad, can I drive the car?...."

"Shivi…."

It was Shravya's mother's voice who did not even scold her but warned her with her strong voice that she should not do all this, due to which she started looking outside in anger. She is sitting in the front seat with her father at this time and she really wants to drive. Shravya's father never liked that his daughter was angry at any time, so he increased the speed of his car and opened all the glasses so that when his daughter's long hair started flying in the air, as usual, she smiled again.

But as Shravya has decided today that she will not smile at all. Her father applies the brakes hard, due to which she pushes forward and immediately pushes on the seat and sits again properly with a jerk. Shravya smiles lightly but suppresses her smile, her father knows very well that she smiled, so he repeats the same act three to four times to make Shravya smile. At last, she started laughing loudly because the screeching sound of the tires was so weird that they could not stop their laughter. Her father says.

"Now it's so dark let's go back home…."

"Want a Kesar kulfi…."

"Ok my princess and so what my queen wants…."

He sees his wife smiling in the rear mirror who is looking at him. She immediately replies.

"Pista kulfi…."

"Ok sweetheart and mine is Kesar Pista kulfi….."

He speeds up his car and they all are singing and enjoying their ride, Shravya folds her hands on the window rim and sits there to enjoy the cold breezes. Her father, while talking to his wife, starts applying brakes because of the truck coming from the front, but the brakes are not applied properly. He harshly turns to the side, Because of this, the attention of both of them also goes towards the front. They can ask him something. He shouts.

"I can't apply the brakes and speed is out of control…. Call Manohar bhaiya… Maybe due to repeatedly pressing brakes, the wires have loosened and now the brake is not working at all."

His wife calls Manohar and informs him of everything, Shravya is very afraid because of all this. Swati says immediately to her.

"Shivi comes backside…. Manohar bhaiya is very close to us. He has come here to meet someone… bhabhi please save my daughter….."

Akhilesh is very calm but somehow worried for the safety of his family. Swati is on phone connected with Manohar.

"Bhaiya saved Swati and shivi… bhaiya please come soon …. Swati, bhaiya is coming and we will jump ….. you and shivi will be safe…..

They are still connected with nokia1100. Manohar, Radhika, and Aditya had gone to a wedding, due to which they were on their way. He immediately starts coming toward them who are only 5 minutes away from them.

Their speed is very fast. He tries his best to go toward the deserted road so that no one gets hurt. He knows very well that his brother is not far from him, he will reach here soon, even if there is any kind of casualty, then he can be rushed to the hospital. But he is worried for his daughter and wife, he is lost in thought of their safety.

Some beggars were crossing the road. He turns his car to save them, but a child naughtily runs to the opposite side where he turns his car, and the car hits him hard, he flies in the air for a second, then hits on the windshield of the car, and the car's glass is bloodstained. Shravya screams loudly.

"Papa….."

Shravya is so scared that she starts crying out of fear. The same is the case with her mother. She dropped the phone somewhere, but she knows that her husband is not at fault for this, he tried to control the speed but the brakes failed and now nothing is in their hands. She immediately tries to pull Shravya back by unbuckling her safety belt. Shravya is scared so she goes back to her mother, Swati hugs her tightly. Her father shouts loudly in a panic state.

"Next is the grassland. You both jump over there. I too will go after the two of you. I don't think we can control the speed under any circumstances and there is going to be a lot of population ahead, so driving will be very difficult….."

Swati Hugs Shravya tightly and kisses her whole face, then explains to her.

"I will jump with your father…."

No words are coming out of Shravya's mouth out of fear. She holds on tightly to her mother's saree and has a lot of hiccups because of crying, but Swati manages to free herself from her grip very well and quickly opens the car gate and looks at her husband. He is driving but his focus is on his daughter right now, he is also looking after her very well with a smile.

Seeing the opportunity, Swati immediately pushes Shravya outside. Shravya rolls down and falls into the fields, but she quickly manages herself and looks at the car which has moved too fast from there. Tears are flowing from her eyes, she manages herself and starts running from there while limping. She doesn't know where to go but she runs baselessly.

"Mummy ….. papa…."

It's getting too dark and she's feeling scared now. She doesn't know where to go. All she knows is that her father's car had gone this way. Then she stops by the sound of the car honking, coming from behind and the car stops in front of her. This is Manohar's car on which Radhika, Manohar, and Aditya are currently sitting.

"Badi maa…. Papa…. Mummy…."

Radhika immediately comes out and hugs her and without any delay, they sit in the car and go ahead. Aditya is constantly trying to call Akhilesh but his phone has already been disconnected a few minutes ago and is still not able to connect.

"Chachi is not responding papa, I think the phone has dropped or is the phone dead?…."

Manohar's hands are trembling as he is apprehensive of something untoward. He knows very well that for the last 5 minutes they are talking to him and he was talking about saving his wife again and again, but Swati was not ready to jump out of the car without him, she didn't want to leave him even for a second.

They are running without properly thinking and finally, they spot Akhilesh's car. They all smile, Shravya sits straight in the gap of the seat and smiles very happily with tears.

"Bade papa…. Mummy and papa….."

Manohar is very panicked to see the car which is swinging on the road because of speed, it is out of control. Manohar does not understand anything. He too quickly drives his car behind Akhilesh's car. He wants to reach his brother as soon as possible so that he can talk a little. He can explain what he can do next, but before Manohar reaches close to him, Akhilesh's car collides with the truck coming from the front with great force.

"Papaaaaa……. "

AUTHOR'S POV

Adhyay's eyes are only on Shravya's face. He is not leaving her hand even for a moment. It's 2:00 at the night.  He is sitting next to her and not taking his eyes away from her face, he has not considered it appropriate to move from there even for a moment. Shravya's finger tightens around his palm in a strong grip.

"Saanjh…… "

Her eyes are not opening, but tears have started flowing from her closed eyes. Adhyay immediately stands up and holds her face well in his hands and starts calling her again and again.

"Saanjh … Saanjh ….. open your eyes."

He pressed the attendant button and stuff immediately came with the doctor.

"What happened to her….."

Doctor, checking Shravya immediately gives her an injection and looks at Adhyay, and tells him.

"Maybe the reason for her attack, don't worry, the situation is under control. She will gain her consciousness very soon, so you can rest……"

Shravya has just held Adhyay's hand tightly. Adhyay has understood that she is trying to get out of her nightmare, but she is still in the same nightmare. He immediately lies down beside her and holds her tightly in his arms.

His soft minty lemon cologne hit her nostrils and calmed her tense sense in a very soothing way, she can feel him very closely, she fists his shirt and turns her face to inhale him more with her closed eyes, her haunted memories engulfing her but his touches pulling her out from there.

"Saanjh…."

"Ad… dhiiii…"

His long fingers start moving in her long straight black hair, he hugs her tightly repeatedly kissing her forehead and cheek, He just wants Shravya to open her eyes and see him once as soon as possible. He doesn't know what is happening here but now he is getting very impatient about her waking up.

"Saanjh I am here … open your eyes…."

Her eyes are very heavy because of the medicine effect but she wants to confirm her doubt so she forcefully opens her eyes.

"Adhi..…"

"Yes Saanjh, your Adhi is here…."

She finds herself very tired, but let's look at Adhyay for a second. There is a slight smile on her face and she hides her face in his chest, she just wants to feel close to him. Adhyay sighs in relief, he closes his eyes to thank god, and Shravya fists his shirt tightly and starts crying. He didn't stop her, just stayed there like that and let her keep crying. He feels the wetness on his shirt as she cries clinging to his chest but he just hugs her without a word.

She is tired and after crying her heart out, she feels more tired so she sleeps in his arms, he tries to look at her face but she is clinging to him like his second skin, his shirt drenched in her tears, again he kisses her forehead and closes his eyes while caging his life in his arms properly.
