AUTHOR'S POV

Adhyay took off his T-shirt and threw it in the laundry basket then wrapped a towel around his neck and went into the bathroom.

He stands in front of the mirror and looks at himself very well then he bites his lower lip to hide his smile from himself but he smacks on his head, ruffles his hair, and smiles.

He joins his hands under the tap and brings lots of water into it and splashes it on his face. Then starts to run his finger in his sweaty hair.

He wipes the drops of water from his face while smiling, then holds the washbasin and looks at himself properly, and slowly closes his eyes.

Garden scene

Adhyay and Raunak are following Shravya and Ruhi with their slow steps as Shravya was explaining something to Ruhi, to which Ruhi is not paying attention at all.

Adhyay has both hands in his pockets, trying to divert his attention from Shravya, but he is not able to do it at all because her presence is continuously bothering him.

And here Raunak walking with them with his limping leg, his one hand is massaging his jaw, and with his other hand, he is rubbing his back, which is getting some bruises due to falling on the hard surfaces.

Shravya is scolding Ruhi because she hit Raunak without any reason, because of her scolding, Ruhi regularly looks behind with her narrow eyes toward Raunak and regularly mumbles something towards him.

Raunak also looks at her in a very attentive way, then brings his mouth close to Adhyay and says.

"Is she abusing me.... "

Adhyay just nods in approval without saying anything, Raunak immediately turns towards her and shouts.

"Shravya Ji, your sister is abusing me ..... you are scolding her not to do this, not to do that .... And look, she still abuses me....."

Ruhi's eyes become wide with this unexpected thing. She looks at her sister who glares at her, then toward Raunak, and again narrows her eyes with a little bit angry and says.

"Do you listen to any single word.... "

"No .. but your horrible experience says, what are you doing.... You abuse me...."

"I do not need to waste my abuses on you for free .... You are an idiot .... "

Shravya immediately grabs her hand to keep her quiet and again starts explaining something to her, which she doesn't want to listen to at all.

Adhyay looked in front, a boy was coming riding on his small bicycle from there at a very fast speed. Shravya's whole attention is on Ruhi as she engages in explaining the incidents.

Adhyay immediately comes in front of Shravya and holds that "Dhoom boy" to stop his fast speed. And give him a proper side with his bike and ruffles his hair with a smile and says.

"Go, John Abraham ....."

Everybody's attention goes to both of them and smiles at his silly joke, Adhyay who is looking on the opposite side to try to avoid Shravya, slowly turns his face and looks towards Shravya who is still waving her hand towards that boy with a smile.

Adhyay tried to divert his attention to the other side again with his strong willpower but his eyes again stuck on Shravya within a second and lightly smiles.

Raunak notices everything for a long time and captures their moment with the help of his mobile camera. he wraps his arm around his shoulder and says softly.

"Bhaiya Ji .... Aap muskura rahe h."
(Bro are you smiling.)

Flashback end

With this Adhyay gets back from his sweet dream and fistful his hair and looks at himself in the mirror and says.

"Don't disturb me like this ..... just get out of my mind....."

Dining hall

Ranjan is in a very serious mood and reads newspapers to try to avoid everyone.

Anjana, Ram, and Revathi all are looking at him constantly and wait for him to open his mouth. But Ranjan is determined today and tries to ignore them all with his strong efforts because he knows very well he is not able to answer their questions.

Ranjan looks at those people and puts the newspaper in front of his mouth so that no one can look at him like this, he covers his proper space with the newspaper.

Ram clears his throat and tries to say something but Ranjan immediately says without listening to him what he wants to say.

"Dad ....You are coming with me to the office today. It is a very important thing I want to discuss with you there.... so I need your help very much."

Ram immediately snatches the newspaper from his hand and glares at him and says.

"Is there any problem?..... what happened there?"

"Dad, I said we will talk later about this. By the way, I forgot to tell you all that Manohar Ji invited us to dinner and..... "

He can explain to them further about the dinner invitation from Manohar, but Revathi painfully holds his ear and twists and says.

"They have invited us to dinner and you are now telling us this in a way as if someone has died in our house ..... you know how much preparation we have to make."

Ranjan got out his ear from Revathi's hand and looked directly into her eyes and told them.

"Mom... please not today..... I am very tense because of something... please."

Anjana comes close to him and holds his hand while sitting next to him and says.

"Ranjan Ji, what happened? ......Any problem we can solve together..... just tell us."

Ranjan sighs deeply then holds his head with his hands and says.

"I think.... Manohar Ji likes Raunak for their daughter..... "

"What ... "

They all shout together and the tension streaks appear on their forehead after hearing him instantly.

Author's pov

Ram and Ranjan are sitting next to each other but both of them are not focused on each other at all. Ram says in frustration.

"Does Mr. Singh want to meet you at lunchtime.... Already invited us for dinner then... "

"I don't know anything....."

Ranjan is looking at the skyscrapers outside the window and Ram is immersed in something very deeply sitting nearby.

Then there is a knock on the door, their attention turns towards the door. Ranjan immediately fixes himself properly and says with his dominating voice.

"Come in .... "

A girl comes inside with a man, both Ram and Ranjan stand up from their seats to greet him and says smilingly.

"Welcome, Manohar JI .... (He looks at that girl) send us some refreshments and coffee."

"Yes sir... "

With this, that girl immediately leaves from there. They all shake their hands and sit on the couch, Ram tells him while clearing his throat with a loud voice.

"So Manoharji .... You eagerly want to meet us ..... is something special....."

"Very special sir ... I like your son for my daughter ..... that's why I am here."

"Our son .... "

"Yes, Raunak ..... I like Raunak for my daughter .... "

Ranjan looks at him while rubbing his two fingers on his temples and he is not able to answer him about anything.

Ram again clears his throat and tries to cope up with the situation, he says.

" Raunak is not my grandson, but he is no less than my grandson, he is the son of one of our family friends, his parents are no more and we don't know about his other relatives .... "

Even before Ram could complete his words Manohar joined his hand and said in front of him while joining his hand.

"I know everything about him, his parents had a love marriage due to which they left their houses and started living near to your house, Mr. Ranjan and Mr. Prathvi started their business together ..... "

Ram and Ranjan look at each other as they both are very confused because in a very short period he gets information about them. Manohar continued.

"Do not get so tense because in today's era it is not so difficult to take out any type of information from anybody ...... I also know very well that you love Raunak many times more than you love your son .... Am I right or wrong."

Ranjan looks at him and answers smilingly.

"He is not my friend's son for us, he is my son for me. I cannot say anything more than this. I just want to know why you choose him for your daughter because ..... I want to say something .... I don't know how to tell you about this .... Look, sir ..... "

Manohar cuts him in the middle and says in a very simple way. While here Ranjan is in the dilemma of how to start everything.

"Manohar .... Just Manohar ... "

"Ok ... look ...Manohar JI Raunak is not interested in Shravya .... and I am very sorry .... "

Manohar immediately cuts him in the middle and stands up from his place and says loudly.

"But I am not talking about Shravya...... I am talking about Ruhi .... because I know very well you guys already like Shravya for your son Adhyay .... "

Ranjan and Ram are in total shock after listening to him, but a very beautiful smile starts appearing on their faces.
