The Green in Hierophant

A/N: You're gonna need a box of tissues. Because I did.

Meanwhile, Kakyoin was back in the darkness of his dream world. His euphoria had completely vanished, yet the unsettling feeling of being surrounded by nothing still lingered. He had a strange gut feeling, something he didn't think he was capable of having anymore.

He couldn't help but crack a slight grin at his unspoken pun. But in all seriousness, he had a bad feeling. He didn't know where it was coming from, but it was there.

He put a hand on his hallow-feeling stomach, looking down at the non-existent ground. He then looked back up into the sky of nothing. "Jotaro?" he whispered. "Is that you?"

Kakyoin saw no other reason for him having a bad feeling, so he assumed it had something to do with Jotaro. He felt no pity for how he snapped at his mother, as he thought she deserved it for the way she talked about Jotaro. Kakyoin sighed as he felt the all too familiar feeling of butterflies in his stomach. After being in denial for so long, he finally accepted it.

He liked Jotaro.

Every time the image of the emo yet soft-hearted boy popped into his mind, he felt safe, and at peace. And most of all...

He felt happy.

A feeling he was not too familiar with. Growing up with no friends besides Hierophant Green, it took a toll on him. It made him feel like he had the inability to grow close to people. Nonetheless, grow feelings for people.

In conclusion, this bad feeling had to be about Jotaro. One of the only people he deeply cared about. And that doesn't mean he didn't care about the other crusaders, he did, a lot. But the only time he got a bad feeling about one of the crusaders was when Polnareff was being attacked by Hol Horse. And that's when he was in the hospital because of his eyes.

Why every time he gets a bad feeling, he's always unable to do anything? It made him feel helpless, and he carried that guilt.

He wished Jotaro could hear him. He wished Jotaro could hear his yells to be safe. If anything happened to Jotaro, he would blame himself. No matter who was actually at fault, he would still blame himself.

And while Kakyoin had these thoughts, so did Jotaro.

...

"What do you mean they're trapping us?" Jotaro questioned, holding out his hands in the moment of stress and confusion.

"This has to be another stand. Driving them to summon themselves and go towards that wall. The other end is getting further and further away, giving them a perfect opportunity to close that exit, and since they have our stands under control, they'll be rendered useless and we'll be slaughtered easily."

"Not mine."

"What?"

"Star Platinum. We were able to get away from the wall to break his range The only reason Jiji and Polnareff were caught was that Hermit Purple has the ability that makes sure the range isn't broken. Star Platinum can still be used to fight."

Dr. Hashi shook her head. "You're thinking is a bit off. Think about it, the enemy has a huge advantage over us. If they knew Star Platinum would be able to fight them, they would appear next to the wall Silver Chariot is attacking, therefore if you summon your stand to attack them, Star Platinum would simply be put under this weird 'spell' or whatever. Then rendering Star Platinum useless to the situation."

Jotaro grunted in frustration, playing different scenarios in his head to think of how they could possibly get out of this situation. He was not phased by the fact that the plans they thought of did not work. They came prepared for this. The came with the knowledge that they were put at the disadvantage here.

As Jotaro contemplated every possible solution, the exit behind them rumbled. The four directed their attention to the last source of light as it closed on them. "Called it!" Dr. Hashi yelled over the loud noises of the wall collapsing.

"Shit!" Jotaro shouted as he ran towards the crumbling debris, hoping to use Star Platinum to reopen their exit.

"Don't!" Dr. Hashi yelled, reaching out her hand to signal for him to stop. He did, knowing what she meant. And so, he stood and watched as their only escape was destroyed.

It went quiet, and they were all left in the pure darkness of the tunnel. Nothing could be seen with the human eye at this point, as it was just too dark.

Jotaro became confused when he noticed the sound of Silver Chariot breaking down the wall stopped. He turned around, though that did him no favor, as nothing could be seen.

"Guys?" He questioned, raising his voice enough so anyone in the tunnel could hear him. "Jiji!" he yelled. "Polnareff!! Dr. Hashi!!!"

He waited, but no response. No noises of anything moving, no shuffling of feet moving, and the most unsettling of all, no breathing.7

"DAMMIT!!" Jotaro screamed, throwing a punch to the crumbled wall. "DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!!!" He yelled and screamed and shouted as he threw punch after punch. He didn't need Star Platinum. He had so many pent up emotions deep down, and this situation was frustrating enough. But it finally crossed the line.

He was depressed enough after Egypt. But now Kakyoin's in a coma, and he was separated from the group. How was he going to get out of this? How would he make it out of here and save Kakyoin? He didn't know.

He felt truly and utterly defeated.

He fell to his knees, staring at the floor with an emotionless face that the darkness covered. A single tear rolled down his left cheek.

It was familiar. Just shutting down, but still being able to shed a tear. He didn't like it, but that's just how it is sometimes.

Jotaro sat in the unbearing silence for who knows how long, but soon, it was broken.

"I see my stand Overkill has done quite a good job."

Jotaro's eyes widened as he recognized that voice. "You're..."

"Yes, the Headmaster's second in command. I know you've seen me a few times before. Oh! I'm sorry, it was too dark in that room to see me, let me rephrase. I know you've heard me a few times before." The voice had a sinister chuckle, making Jotaro's eye twitch in anger.

"What was your name again?" Jotaro growled. "Fuming Hero or something?"

The man sounded unamused and sighed. "Fumihiro, but I applaud your effort to try."

Jotaro still sat on the floor as footsteps approached him.

"So, Jotaro. I have to ask you something," Fumihiro whispered in Jotaro's ear. "is Kakyoin dead yet?"

Jotaro's eyes widened as he turned and threw a punch straight into Fumihiro's face, knocking the shadow figure back.

"Hey! What was that... for...." Fumihiro could not see Jotaro, but could clearly see his figure. Jotaro towered over him, a deadly aura radiating off him and throughout the room.

See, there was a flaw in Fumihiro's plan. If it as not for this one mistake, Jotaro and the others would have failed and could not save Kakyoin. But Fumihiro forgot a very important aspect that one should add to a plan including Jotaro:

Don't mess with his emotions.

Jotaro, if messed with emotionally, could become 10 times more powerful in a matter of seconds. How do you think he defeated DIO? Not only because of his time-stopping power but because when DIO so-called 'killed' Joseph, it messed with his emotions and made him lose control of his feelings, overcoming DIO and his power. And with a low-life like Fumihiro, this would take no time at all. And every enemy mistook one little thing:

Jotaro didn't need Star Platinum to kick some ass.

...

Kakyoin sat in his subconsciousness, thinking to himself. And suddenly, the bad feeling in his stomach disappeared. He perked up and put a hand on his stomach in surprise. He chuckled to himself. "What was I thinking? Jotaro's capabilities are far beyond my knowing, he can overcome anything when he puts his mind into it."

...

They were no longer in the tunnel, they were no longer apart, and they were back in the hallway they were before. Jotaro didn't even get to see the guys face, leaving him slightly disappointed.

Everyone but Jotaro looked around in confusion. "Where the hell were you guys?!" Polnareff exclaimed.

Dr. Hashi and Joseph shrugged, making them all look to Jotaro. Without explanation or response, he turned and kept walking, his hands in his pockets, only confusing the others more. But nonetheless, they followed him, assuming he knew what he was doing.

As they walked, Dr. Hashi questioned if Joseph and Polnareff had control over their stand again. They shrugged but tried. Joseph used his remaining hand to summon Hermit Purple, and the stand did nothing out of the ordinary, it just sat there like usual.

They then looked over at Polnareff as Joseph put his arm down. Silver Chariot was the next to be summoned, who acted completely normal, waiting for instruction on what to do like usual. Polnareff waved off his stand until Silver Chariot disappeared. "Everything seems normal to me," he shrugged. "you think Jotaro did something?"

"Obviously," said Dr. Hashi. "notice how quiet he's been? Something happened."

"But what?" Joseph asked. They were far enough behind Jotaro that hopefully, he couldn't hear them.

"I don't know," she shrugged. "but whatever happened, he took care of the enemy. And I guess that's all that matters right now."

Polnareff and Joseph looked down, silently agreeing. Them being their curious selves were disappointed that they didn't know exactly what happened, but Dr. Hashi had a point. It wasn't their place to ask about it. And like she said, it's over with, there's no need to bring it up again.

"So, Jotaro," Polnareff spoke up after a while of silence, walking up closer to Jotaro. He hummed, letting him know he was listening. "you fought whatever was causing out stand to do that, right?" Jotaro nodded. "Okay, then do you have any leads on where the big bad guy of all of this is?"

Jotaro stayed quiet, concentrating, and thinking, but in the end, he shook his head. Polnareff internally sighed, and nodded, sulking only slightly.

Then, Joseph spoke up. "Did you at least see the guy?" he questioned.

Jotaro said nothing and shook his head. Dr. Hashi has seen this behavior before and knew he just wanted to be alone. But in their current situation, that was not possible. So the least she could do is give him some quiet. She motioned at Joseph and Polnareff to stray further behind Jotaro near her. They seem confused, but approached her and asked why. She explained that something had happened that most likely had something to do with Kakyoin, and he needed to be given some space. They nodded and understood, continuing to walk and keep their distance from Jotaro.

"Wait," Dr. Hashi stopped the group and pointed to a room with a square boarded up window at the top. "look," she pointed at the sign next to the door that read: Laboratory.

"What about it?" Polnareff asked, shrugging.

"Come on, there's gotta be something useful in there, no?" she raised her brow and gestured towards the door once more.

"She has a point," Joseph agreed. "let's see if we can get these doors open."

Joseph and Polnareff stood in front of the door, and Polnareff went with the easy way and jiggled the handle to see if it was unlocked, and sure enough, it was. They all stopped and put their guard up more than before.

"Who would leave a room like this unlocked...?" Polnareff asked, sounding weary and a bit frightened.

Dr. Hashi observed the hallway they were in and then the door. "I take it they don't have many visitors, so I don't see a reason to lock it."

"True," Polnareff nodded. Joseph tapped the door as it opened more with an ominous creak. He was the first to step in, then it was Polnareff, and then Dr. Hashi. She turned around when she saw Jotaro was not following.

"Hey, you coming?"

He responded with his back turned. "You go on ahead, I'll keep watch out here in case anything happens."

She gave a soft yet worried smile for him. "Okay, just please be careful." And with that, the laboratory room door closed behind her.

Jotaro sighed and looked down with a whisper. "I should be telling you that."

There was barely any source of light in the laboratory room. Or at least, they didn't see or know of any. The only light that would help you see was the light that managed to shine through the boarded-up window in the room. But they observed the best they could, keeping quiet so they could know if someone else was in the room with them.

Dr. Hashi's attention was caught by a file cabinet on the left side of the room. As she started cautiously walking to that end of the room, she bumped into a table that held a bunch of test tubes. The clatter was loud and many fell from what they were sitting on, the contents spilling everywhere. Dr. Hashi gasped with surprise and hurried to find any that were not spilled.

Polnareff and Joseph looked in her direction and just saw her tense because of the loud noise. They walked over to her and asked what had happened.

"Sorry," she whispered. "I just bumped into these."

She crouched down to the table level and tried to get a better view of what they were exactly. Her eyes widened as the little bit of sunlight shined directly on the label of the test tubes, and Polnareff and Joseph saw too.

'Stand Cancellation serum'

They all looked at each other. Dr. Hashi took the last one that was perfectly intact and did not fall or break. She put it in her chest pocket and signaled that this was all they might need, so they could leave. They opened the door slowly and as quietly as possible, Jotaro turned to them.

"Done?"

They nodded and they began walking once more.

...

"Ugh, who knew they could be bored in their own mind..." Kakyoin muttered, sprawled out on the transparent floor. "At least those nightmares were more interesting than this..."

And don't get him wrong, Kakyoin didn't really mean that. He hated those nightmares" and was more than glad to be out of them. All he really wanted was a normal nice dream. Being able to dream one of your biggest fantasies and having no idea if it's real or not. He would do anything to have that right now, but he would have the knowledge that it wasn't real, and that discouraged him from trying to dream.

He sighed as more butterflies flew in his stomach, and he couldn't stop the smile that grew on his face. No matter what, his brain always trailed off into thoughts of Jotaro. Both good and bad. But mostly good.

He wasn't sure how to feel about these thoughts. He felt it was wrong to think about someone so much. But he knew deep down that it was completely normal.

He was conflicted, to say the least.

He decided to open some more memories to get his mind off of his confusing emotions. A small panel glowed in the abyss in front of him, images and faint colors taking form. It showed the inside of the submarine they had when they fought the High Priestess. It showed Polnareff making sign language and hand signals, and Kakyoin popping up behind him.

"Your underwear is showing."

"Yeah!"

The screen proceeded to show the strangely coordinated handshake with both him and Polanreff. Kakyoin gave a light-hearted chuckle at the fun banter he and Polanreff had.

'Good times...' he thought to himself.

...

"Hey, Jotaro," Polnareff whined. "we've been walking for sooooo long, can't we just make a signal to let the boss man or whatever know we're here and get this over with already? I think being able to navigate this building is a lost cause."

Dr. Hashi slapped the back of Polnareff's head with a harsh glare. He yelped and held the back of his head, wondering what he did wrong.

"I don't care how long it takes. Or how tired you get." Jotaro spoke sternly. "We're not stopping until this is over."

Polnareff groaned internally, his legs were getting tired. But he knew why Jotaro was so determined to find this enemy, they all did. It was for Kakyoin.

They wanted to save Kakyoin too. But they knew Jotaro wanted to the most. Polnareff sometimes questioned why Dr. Hashi was helping them. When she has the perfect chance at a danger-free life. He wondered why she put herself at risk to save the life of a person she barely knew.

Dr. Hashi had her reasons. Sure, she had only known Kakyoin for a brief time. But he was a special case. She really only just met Jotaro but saw how much Kakyoin meant to him. She would feel bad if she had stayed back and just let Jotaro handle the situation. She knew that if anything happened to Kakyoin, Jotaro would never be the same.

She's a doctor. It's her duty to save the lives of anyone who stepped foot in her department. She was willing to do anything to fulfill that duty. Dangerous or not. She would rather die in an attempt to save a patient rather than dying normally. That might sound like a little much, but she was 100% dedicated to her job. She had no personal life. No friends, no family, she had no connections to anything outside of her office. She had that in common with Kakyoin. She grew up without anyone there for her.

Her parents disappeared when she was only a freshman in high school. They were never seen again by anyone. And the cops gave up on trying to look for them after only less than a year. Despite this hurt she carried, she decided to move on. She knew it would do her no good to sulk about it. Instead, she tutored special needs kids until she went off to college. Then she pursued her dream of helping people and became a doctor. She was honored greatly for her work. And one day, someone from the Speedwagon Foundation came to talk to her. They told her that her talent was not to be wasted in a regular hospital, and introduced her into the world of stands.

She took the job, and in no time, was ahead of everyone she worked with. She was given many promotions and soon became the manager. Though she didn't use her manager's powers very often. She doesn't even consider herself the manager. She works as she always has, and it works out.

She got patients regularly, helped them, discharged them, and did this over and over again. Somehow, she never got bored.

But then Kakyoin arrived, and his case was not one you would often see. She treated him as best she could and sent him home when he was ready. He came back not too long after in even worse condition. This is when she started giving him Therapy and was introduced to Jotaro. She immediately saw the connection between the two and made it her goal to get them together. She promised herself that she would save this patient. And she wasn't about to break that.

So, now they were here.

Fighting for Kakyoin.

...Meanwhile...

"Hi, how may I help you?"

"Hi, I was here not too long ago. I'm here to see if I can talk to Doctor Hashimoto? I want to apologize to her."

"Oh! You're Mrs. Kakyoin right?"

Mrs. Kakyoin nodded, Mr. Kakyoin behind her in case anything escalated.

"I'm sorry, but Dr. Hashi is not available at the moment."

"Do you have any idea when she will be?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't. She left a long time ago with Mr. Kujo, Mr. Polnareff, and Mr. Joestar I believe. She said she didn't know when she'd be back but it was going to be a while."

"Do you know what she's doing?"

"I cannot give out that information."

"Okay, can I see my son yet?"

The nurse simply shook her head with an apologetic look. Mrs. Kakyoin nodded and turned around to leave, asking one more thing. "Whenever she does get back, can you tell her that I'm sorry? And ask her to contact me if she can?"

The nurse nodded with a gentle smile. And with that, Mrs. Kakyoin and Mr. Kakyoin left the hospital, awaiting further news on their son.

...

Jotaro stopped, holding out a hand signaling for the others to stop as well.

"Wha-"

Jotaro put a finger over his mouth, cutting off Polnareff and silently telling him to be quiet. Everyone shut their mouths as anxiety filled the room. It was dead quiet, only the faint ringing of your own ear is all you could hear.

Jotaro was now facing the group, looking off to the side, as if paying attention to any small noises. Dr. Hashi mouthed 'what?' at him, but he simply kept his finger over his mouth, still telling them to keep quiet. He looked dead serious, which shut them all up quicker than anything.

Jotaro slowly removed his finger from his mouth. "I know you're watching us!" he shouted. "Make your move shitbag!"

Another minute of silence passed, everyone's hearts beating faster by the second in anticipation. But still, nobody spoke.

A deep, ominous chuckle broke the unbearing silence. "How'd you figure me out Kujo?" the way this man uttered the word 'Kujo' sent chills down the group's spine. It spat hatred like venom, infecting the target with it until it perished. "How about we move to a different area for our battle, shall we?"

The group was suddenly teleported to a dark room. From the feel of it, it was a fairly large room, filled with bloodlust.

The room lit up, giant lights being held at the tall ceiling. The eggwhite walls glowed brightly in one's face, feeling as if your very eye was burning. Two people stood in the opposite corners at the other side of the room, smirking. One was male, and one was female. The female in the right corner had dark brown hair down to her shoulders, and she wore a simple black tank top and dark grey sweatpants as if she were training. The male in the left corner had long black hair running down to his lower back, the same outfit as the other.

"Hey! Our toys have arrived!"

"I call the left one!"

"Then I get the right!"

"Let's leave the other two for the master."

"Got it!"

"Let's go!"

Joseph and Polnareff were teleported to either person, a punch being thrown to both of their faces. Before they could even process what just happened, they were already in battle, leaving then unable to prepare or catch their breath even for a second. But this was to be expected, so they can't technically complain.

Dr. Hashi and Jotaro were left standing in confusion and shock, wondering the enemy's next move.

And there he was.

The headmaster of it all.

Electric blue hair down to his upper back, the left side tucked behind his pale ear. A seemingly harmless grin that hid killer instinct behind it. Dark blue eyes were full of sick intent to kill. Arms crossed carelessly as if it were nothing. A black and white tuxedo vest over a white button-up shirt, accompanied with a Prussian blue tie and plain black dress pants and brown dress shoes. And glasses that reflected the bright light of the room, trying its best to hide the bloodlust in his eyes.

"Hey, Kujo," he waved, grinning wider. "I see you brought little Dr. Hashimoto along with you."

Dr. Hashi and Jotaro stood in battle positions, keeping their guard up and preparing for the worst.

"Thanks to my minions, they're keeping that old man and the obnoxious guy occupied. Leaving me to you two. How fun!" He gestured his hands outward as if showing off something new and exciting you just received, and the gleaming look on one's face when you're eager to do something.

"Sorry for the wait," he put his arms down and interlocked his hands. "I was only waiting to see if you'd come up with anything clever to find me! But sadly, no."

"I did find you," Jotaro growled.

The headmaster stared at him with a look that said 'really?'. "You think you found me?" He chuckled, putting a hand to his chest dramatically. "No dear, you're seeing it the wrong way. I let you find me. I wanted you to sense my presence."

Jotaro was still confused as to how he didn't see the guy, but did not question, and kept his mouth shut for the most part.

"Staying quiet I see? Good move," the headmaster's smile faded into a straight face when his eyes transferred from Jotaro to Dr. Hashi. He stepped one foot forward and started to approach the doctor, Jotaro stepping out in front of her protectively.

There were many reasons Jotaro is fairly protective of Dr. Hashi. He had complete genuine respect for her. She saved Kakyoin's life and even helped him recover one time. She had a nice and gentle soul, that reminded him somewhat of his mother, yet she was fierce and strong and could kick ass. He also knew she didn't have a stand to protect herself against other stand users. He had let so many people down while on the trip with the crusaders. Iggy... Avdol... and almost Kakyoin. He didn't want to experience that again. He was fully determined to bring everyone back in one piece.

He didn't care much if someone got a broken bone or some cuts and bruises, they've been through worse. All he cared about was making sure no one would get gravely injured as Kakyoin did.

"Jiji!" Jotaro shouted for Joseph's attention.

"Sorry, Jotaro!" He grunted as he dodged an attack. "I'm a little occupied at the moment!"

"Polnareff!"

"Same here! This chick's got moves!"

Jotaro glared into the headmaster's eyes, internally disappointed that he would not be getting assistance.

And some might think, 'Well what do you mean Jotaro? You defeated DIO all by yourself didn't you?"

But that is incorrect.

The reason Jotaro was able to defeat the 100-year-old vampire was because of the sacrifices that were made. And not only that but just out of pure luck as well. If he was not able to figure out how to move in stopped time and even stop time itself, he would not have been able to pull that off.

Then it came to him.

Stopping time.

Why didn't he think of it before? The answer was in front of him this whole time.

The headmaster continued to stare him down while he thought. He realized that might be a bad idea at the moment. Without knowing the enemy's stand or his power and jumping right into the fight could be fatal. Especially when it comes to a guy who seems this powerful.

"Why?" Jotaro spoke.

"Hm?" The headmaster questioned.

"Why did you do it? Why are you going after Kakyoin? He has nothing to do with this!"

The headmaster stared at him for a moment, emotionless. "Simple. Lord DIO rejected us. We saw he failed to take over the world. And not only that but failed to kill a 17-year-old boy. We're finishing the job for him. Well, out of pity. We know he would despise it if he knew we were looking down on him, which is exactly why we're doing it."

Jotaro's eye twitched, and Dr. Hashi noticed his body tense up.

"You..." he growled, pouring out a furious aura. "ASSHOLE!"

Jotaro sprinted towards him, a fist at the ready, almost completely forgetting that Star Platinum was there to assist him. But he would feel better by using his own fists.

Suddenly, the headmaster disappeared from his sight, leaving him to punch nothing but a pocket of air. He was left a stunned and confused about what had just happened.

He felt a sudden impact from behind, bringing him to his knees with a cough as all the air was knocked out of his body.

Dr. Hashi was not the only one shocked or confused. Jotaro was the most out of everyone, but they were all stunned nonetheless. "What..." Jotaro grunted as he shakily lifted himself from the floor, catching his breath.

"Jotaro! Are you okay?" Dr. Hashi asked.

"Yeah..." he sighed, "I think at least..."

Dr. Hashi was about to step forward to see what exactly had happened to Jotaro when he stopped her by holding up a hand. She tensed up as she saw him closely examine the area around them. She could see his breathing elevate and his pupils shrink as the tiniest bit of sweat accumulated at his hairline.

Jotaro's PTSD from his fight with DIO came rushing back to him. The way the headmaster just disappeared, and they had no idea where he would pop up next reminded him of everything. He had done such a good job of hiding it up until now, but this went over the line. He had more stuff at risk than he did before. He would lose Kakyoin again, he would lose Joseph and Polnareff, he would lose Dr. Hashi, who has not done anything to deserve this demise.

He felt more stress overcome him, not adding any help to their current situation. He wished he could just tell all the others to leave so he could finish this himself without putting them in harm's way, but he could not. He was stuck to watch them suffer, and possibly...

No.

He wouldn't put that in his head. He didn't want to. He had already lost so much, and he didn't want to lose more. He would fight, he wouldn't give up. He would use the help that he had, he would keep them safe, he would save Kakyoin.

He shakily put his arm down, looking Dr. Hashi in the eyes with a distressed look on his face. She knew he was hurting, yet she only knew a fragment of what he's actually going through.

Suddenly, the headmaster appeared in Dr. Hashi's view, standing right in front of Jotaro. "Look out!" She yelled, sprinting forward to kick him in the back with her leg, but he disappeared once more, leaving her to kick a pocket of air and lose balance, resulting in her falling to the floor. She grunted but got up quickly, regaining her balance.

She looked at Jotaro who stared at her like she was crazy. "What?" she questioned.

"What did you see exactly?" Jotaro asked, raising a brow as he squinted slightly.

"I saw- him- the headmaster- he was right in front of you!" she reasoned, stress and confusion laced her words.

"Are you okay?"

She stared as him, mouth agape. "What do you mean?"

He looked her in the eyes, dead serious. "There was no one here."

"..."

"What?"

...

Meanwhile, Polnareff and Joseph were still in the corner fighting off the two pawns the headmaster seem to have put out to separate them from Dr. Hashi and Jotaro.

"Dammit!" Polnareff exclaimed as he dodged an attack. "These guys are strong!" Silver Chariot swung at the girl he was fighting, but her dodges were swift and precise as if she had been training much longer than he has.

"Yes!" Joseph yelled, sounding annoyed. "Because that information was not clear before and totally helps us at the moment!"

"Oh shut up you geezer!"

They both launched themselves into the air with their stands at the same time and landed between the two enemies, now standing back to back. "We need to get out of here fast and help Jotaro and Dr. Hashi. Before it's too late." Joseph spoke.

"We need to figure out their stands first. They haven't used their stands and have only used hand-to-hand combat, but they can see our stands because they're able to dodge them... so what is this?" Polnareff questioned.

"Like hell I know," Joseph scoffed. "I've been through some stuff in my past, but at least that made sense. This is just a flaming pile of confusion. DIO made sense too. I don't even know what this is."

Polnareff shrugged but nodded. It was true, this whole situation was confusing.

"Hey, 1163, ready to get em?" the guy said.

"Yes 1040, I am."

Polnareff's and Joseph's faces dropped as they realized who these people were, or rather, what they were. They both looked at each other and said in unison, "Shit."

...

Dr. Hashi looked down as she questioned her own mind. What did she see? Was it real? Is his power hallucinations? Or is what she saw real?

As she was in a trance and Jotaro was confused, the headmaster saw this as a major opportunity to strike. He grinned ear to ear as he was invisible to both of them. He pulled a seemingly normal silver pen out of his vest pocket. It had the letter 'N' engraved in a sphere that sat on the top of the pen cap. Or what seemed to look like a pen cap.

He whipped his pen to face the floor, making it extend into a staff. He chuckled, making Jotaro and Dr. Hashi look in his direction. "You heard that right?" Dr. Hashi asked, just to make sure that she wasn't only seeing things, but hearing things as well.

"Yeah, I did," Jotaro nodded, confirming she wasn't 100% losing it.

Suddenly, Jotaro and Dr. Hashi were both able to see the headmaster, standing before them. They regained their guard quickly and were ready to strike. But he swiftly disappeared again and reappeared right behind Dr. Hashi, holding his staff up above his head, ready to strike.

"Hey!" Jotaro reached out to grab Dr. Hashi's arm to pull her away. His eyes widened in fear as he didn't make it in time. She was pulled out of his range and her back was now pressed up against the headmaster's chest, his staff up against her neck, making Jotaro stop in his tracks.

He smiled and laughed. "Good thinking Kujo! You knew that if you tried to grab her after I already did, she would probably die! Even though this seems like a harmless little staff, doesn't it?"

Dr. Hashi stiffened under his grip, stretching her neck as far as she could to make sure the staff did not touch her neck.

Jotaro glared at the headmaster with pure hatred and bloodlust. In which he only smiled at him, as if he saw enjoyment and amusement in internal suffering. Which he did, in fact. "Oh? And what's that look for, hm? Am I doing something..." he took his staff with both hands and harshly pressed it against Dr. Hashi's neck. "You don't like?"

Jotaro froze as she struggled against the cold silver pole against her neck. He pressed it even harder, preventing her from being able to breathe. You could hear her desperate gasps for air and her coughs of pain as her legs flailed in an attempt to get free or possibly kick him.

Jotaro's heart ached at the scene. His seemingly only hope of saving Kakyoin after this was going to be killed if he didn't do something. He didn't have a plan. They didn't see this coming. What was his power? What was his stand? What is he going to do to get out of this?

A terrible thought entered his brain. And his emotions were all drawn towards this thought, slowly making him believe it, even though he didn't want to:

They were going to lose.

...

"Robots!? I've only seen this in my dreams!" Polnareff yelped as he dodged another attack, once again having Silver Chariot strike again, once again resulting in nothing.

"How can we beat them if they're artificially made!?" Joseph yelled. "This is just a bunch of bullshit at this point!"

"They have numbers as names! What kind of crap is this!?"

"We get it they're freaky! Just take them out already!!"

"I'm trying!"

Joseph jumped in the air as the male robot attempted to ram into him, he shot out Hermit Purple to try and capture him, and sure enough, he was lucky enough to finally land a hit. "Polnareff, hurry!" he grunted, struggling to keep the overpowered combat fighter.

"Give me a sec!"

"I don't have a sec!!"

"Whatever!" Polnareff growled as he let his guard down from his own opponent just to help Joseph and his situation. He used Silver Chariot to stab the male robot right in the chest and twist. The sounds of clicking and wires sparking were heard and he went limp. Joseph called back Hermit Purple and the robot dropped to the floor. They both couldn't help but feel bad, but it was a robot, Polnareff and Joseph didn't see a reason to get upset. So they carried on.

They looked at the female robot and all three got in defensive positions. Joseph sighed. "One down, one to go."

And they had no awareness as to what was happening with Jotaro and Dr. Hashi, as they were not able to direct their attention there for the moment.

...

Jotaro watched in horror as Dr. Hashi suffocated slowly and gasped for air. He felt that feeling again... the feeling of hopelessness. He hated it, and didn't want this feeling anymore, he wanted to do something. He needed to do something.

He took a deep breath and shut his eyes, whispering to himself.

"Star Platinum, the world."

When he opened his eyes once more, all time was frozen. No one moved, no words were spoken.

He quickly stood himself up as he did not have much time. He took the staff from the headmaster's hands and snapped it in half, throwing it to the other side of the room near Polnareff and Joseph. He removed Dr. Hashi from his grasp and summoned Star Platinum.

As he only had a matter of seconds left, maybe even less, he needed to hurry this up. Star Platinum was summoned, and one word echoed throughout the large white room.

"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!!!!"

"And time starts again."

Dr. Hashi fell to her knees, holding her throat in panic as she tried to catch her breath. The headmaster was shot back into the wall behind him, his head was bleeding and blood dripped from his mouth.

While the headmaster attempted to regain his composure, Jotaro checked up on Dr. Hashi with a rushed and only slightly panicked voice.

"I- I'm fine," she coughed, still breathing heavily.

"No, you're not. We're getting you to the hospital once we're done with this," Jotaro was about to stand up when Dr. Hashi grabbed his arm.

"Jotaro. I need you to promise me something."

Jotaro stared at her with question and fear. He was slightly scared of what she had to say.

"If this is my time to go. If this is the place I die-"

"Don't." Jotaro stopped her. "Don't. We will make it out of here. You will be okay. Kakyoin will be okay. We will all be okay."

"Jotaro-"

"No."

"JOTARO."

Jotaro flinched in the slightest as the seriousness in her voice went from 0 to 100 very quickly. He looked her in the eye, her emotions were everywhere, but they were there. Fear, determination, sadness, and sorrow, and... forgiveness.

"If I die here. If I don't make it out. Don't grieve, don't give it another thought. I came here prepared for this outcome, don't blame yourself."

"Dr. Ha-"

"And please," she looked at him with pleading eyes. "love Kakyoin with all your heart. Don't ever take him for granted, please remember that. He's a truly special boy."

"What are you saying-" Jotaro stopped when he truly saw the look in her eyes. "No..."

She smiled at him.

"No. No. No. No. Please."

Jotaro realized it. He saw it. He felt his heart shatter.

Half of the silver staff that he had broken in half was sticking out of her back. While he wasn't looking, while the headmaster was using his stand, he had stabbed Dr. Hashi in the back with the broken end of his staff, impaling her vital organs.

Blood began to pool around her as she kept her grip on Jotaro's arm. "I told you. I was prepared for this. I'm happy to go like this. For the sake of others. I have no regrets." She smiled softly, blood dripping from her mouth.

"Please... Don't..." Jotaro began to tear up, sitting down on his knees to hold her hand that held his arm.

"Jotaro..."

He looked at her, a single tear falling down his left cheek.

"Kakyoin..." tears began falling from her own eyes as well. "You know..." she coughed, blood spilling from her mouth.

"Jotaro!" Polnareff and Joseph came running over, done with their fight with the combat robots. They stopped as they saw the situation in front of them.

Their faces dropped, sadness filled the large room quickly.

Dr. Hashi chuckled. "Say goodbye to him for me, okay?"

Jotaro nodded slowly, his face scrunching up slightly as more tears welled up in his eyes. Polnareff covered his mouth as he too began to tear up, and Joseph watched, his heart ached so much he was unable to cry.

"And you know..." she looked Jotaro in the eyes. "He loves you."

.      .      .

Her grip loosened, her arm went limp, her head dropped. Jotaro's face dropped. His sadness and the darkness of his mind overwhelmed him. He promised himself he wouldn't let this happen. He didn't want this to happen.  He promised this wouldn't happen.

They all looked down and grieved in silence. Polnareff and Joseph didn't know her too well, but she was a damn good woman, with the goal to help others. Jotaro didn't know her too well either, but she had been such a good help to both him and Kakyoin.

Oh... Kakyoin grew so close to her, and she grew so close to Kakyoin. They seemed not only like a doctor and patient, but more as friends. Something Kakyoin was overjoyed about.

Jotaro slowly stood up, his face now blank. He removed his gakuran, and with a gentle manner and care with his movements, placed it over her. He placed a hand over her now covered head and whispered. "You won't be forgotten."

He stood up and stared Joseph and Polnareff in the eyes. They stared back, the same look in their eyes. They all turned towards the headmaster, who now stood in front of the dent created in the wall, smiling with a wide grin.

"You know what I'm thinking?" Polnareff cracked his knuckles.

"I know what you're thinking," Joseph cracked his neck.

With a glare harsher than death itself, Jotaro stared at the headmaster.

"Let's kill this son of a bitch."

...

Kakyoin was still sitting in the abyss of his mind, thinking of whatever entertained him, even if it didn't.

He saw something flash in the prereferral view of his right eye, and when he glanced over, he saw a bright gleaming figure in the distance. He stared at it for a moment, blinking a few times to make sure it wasn't just him. And sure enough, the figure stayed.

The glowing figure seemingly began walking towards him, causing him to stand up in a defensive position.

"Kakyoin..."

Kakyoin immediately dropped his stance, his eyes widening. That was Dr. Hashi's voice. What was she doing in his mind? He didn't even think of her.

He slowly began walking towards her, cautiously. He squinted, tried to get a better look. And the figure stopped glowing. His eyes widened.

A woman, long brown hair with intimidating yet kind eyes, wearing a white trenchcoat with a black pen in the chest pocket.

She smiled at him. "I'm glad I get to see you."

"What?"

She frowned. "I don't know how I'm here. But I know why I'm here."

Kakyoin walked towards her more. "Why?"

"To say goodbye of course."

"Goodbye? Doctor, what do you mean?"

"Dr. Hashi," she corrected. "And... well it's complicated. I guess you'll know later."

"Wait, how are you here? Aren't you conscious on earth? Because I know I'm in my own mind, are you even real? Am I just imagining you in my head?"

She chuckled and put a hand on his arm. He flinched. Physical touch. It's been a while. He missed it. He calmed down quickly. "I loved having you as a patient. I'm happy. This is exactly how I wanted it. So don't feel bad. I'm happy to end it like this. I hope your health improves, physically and mentally. You have Jotaro to help you and be by your side at all times. Please don't forget that."

"Dr. Hashi, what are you talking about?"

She smiled as a single tear rolled down her right cheek, her eyes were glossy. She started glowing brightly once more, causing Kakyoin to have to squint. He adjusted and opened them fully again, just to see her light slowly fade.

It started at her legs, she began to disappear. Her torso and arms faded into nothing but glitter and stars that evaporated into the endless black sky. It got to her neck, and she smiled brightly. "I'm glad I got to help."

And it went quiet.

There was no more light. There was no more Dr. Hashi.

He didn't know it at the time.

But she was gone.

She wasn't coming back.

...

"HA! YOU CAN'T BEAT MY STAND!"

The headmaster seemed to have gone full-on insane. Jumping wall-to-wall in what seemed like joy. This fact pissed Jotaro off more than one could understand.

He jumped aside as the headmaster shot down to the floor with the other end of the staff in an attempt to stab him.

He laughed like he was losing sanity as if he already didn't. But he somehow quickly composed himself and regained his straight and serious face. "I don't think you guys get it. My stand Nirvana can make any object disappear from anyone's line of sight. Why do you think you couldn't see me at the beginning? Simple. I erased myself from your sight. I'm telling you this because I want to see you try! Put up a fight man! I'm bored!"

The floor below them disappeared, but they were still standing. They all flinched, making the headmaster laugh. "See!? Isn't it fun!?"

Jotaro growled. He has had enough of this. He sprinted towards the headmaster. "Jiji!" He yelled. Hermit Purple wrapped around his torso, swinging him up into the air. He summoned Star Platinum to hold part of Hermit Purple so he could swing on it like a vine. He swung down behind the headmaster, leading with his foot straight into his back.

Hermit Purple let go of Jotaro and Star Platinum retreated, leaving him to skid on the floor. He looked back at the headmaster who was slowly trying to get up. "Polnareff!"

"On it!"

Silver Chariot appeared above the headmaster, his rapier being held to the back of his neck. "If you move, I'll chop your head off."

The headmaster laughed. "Aw, you're so cute. Like a little kid, playing pretend," he cooed. "how about you go play kitchen with your little sister?"

Polnareff tensed, his pupils shrank.

"Don't let him get to you Polnareff!" Joseph yelled. "He's trying to get you to freeze! Keep your guard up!"

Polnareff snapped back to reality and pressed his rapier harder against his neck.

The headmaster sighed. "Well, I tried."

Jotaro and Joseph looked at each other, then back at the headmaster. "What?" they both said.

He looked at them and shrugged. "I'm not willing to give up my life for this stupid plan of killing the Joestars. What did they ever do wrong? You guys seem pretty good to me."

The three looked at each other with confused and weary faces. "What?" they said once more.

"My name it Eito Hitero. DIO claimed my stands power was useless and he threw me aside with the other people you fought. After we got word you destroyed him, we wanted to try destroying you ourselves. I can see we failed, so I give up, just let me go and I'll call everything off."

"Sounds good to me," Polnareff was about to remove his rapier when Jotaro stopped him.

"Wait. There's no way. He just killed Dr. Hashi." Jotaro choked on his words a little as he tried to say that sentence. But he had to say it.

"But he's giving up."

"So you're gonna let her die in vain?"

Polnareff went quiet.

"He's faking it, Pol, there's no way."

Eito sighed once more. "I gotta give you credit, you guys are smart. Or, one of you is." He suddenly disappeared, and when Polnareff stabbed the now blank spot with his rapier, nothing happened.

"Shit."

"You saw through my bluff. Congrats Kujo," Eito's voice echoed through the room from an unknown direction, they could not pin down where he was, but he was there. "I can confirm that Eito is my real name though. It's not classified or anything, it just never happened to come up in conversation yet. Until now, that is."

Jotaro felt a harsh kick to his back, knocking him forward, Joseph catching him before he could fall over. Star Platinum was summoned and started using his good vision to try and find any signs of where Eito could be.

No success.

He remained invisible to all of them.

Jotaro scanned the room once more, hoping for any sign of Eito, even though he knew he would come to no avail.

As Jotaro was trying his hardest to figure out exactly what to do, his mind began to change to more negative thoughts than before.

'You broke your promise.'

'You're going to lose.'

'She died for nothing.'

'You're going to lose Kakyoin.'

'You won't save him.'

'You're done for.'

'Give up.'

'Surrender.'

'Die.'

Jotaro's mind spun in circles as depression began to take its hold. His breathing escalated and the other two seemed to notice.

"What do we do!?" Polnareff whisper-shouted to Joseph.

"As if I would know!" he whispered back.

Polnareff groaned. "We're screwed aren't we?"

Joseph looked down as Polnareff sulked and thought for a moment. His eyes widened as if an imaginary light bulb appeared above his head. He looked at Polnareff with big eyes, who looked at him blank. He raised a brow when he saw his face. "What?" he asked.

And then it clicked.

...

"Jotaro!" Joseph yelled obnoxiously loud. "We need you to do something!"

Jotaro was startled and confused at his loud voice when they were at such close proximity to each other. "What?"

"We need you to run to the other side of the room!"

Jotaro's face twisted with confusion. "You're joking right?" He stared at Joseph and Polnareff for a moment, but their expressions remained the same and they were 100% serious. They nodded their heads and pushed their hands as if to usher him to run.

He sighed but knew he should probably trust them if they wanted to win this. He took a deep breath and began to sprint to the other side of the large room. A second after Jotaro began running, Joseph and Polnareff went running in the opposite direction, towards Dr. Hashi. Jotaro did not see this and was focused on the blinding white wall in front of him.

Joseph removed Jotaro's gakuran from Dr. Hashi's body and whispered an "I'm sorry," as he reached his hand into her chest pocket and pulled out a syringe. He smiled and looked back at Polnareff, who had a smirk on his face as well.

Polnareff went on ahead and Joseph gently put Jotaro's gakuran back over Dr. Hashi, closing his eyes and saying how much of a help she was to them, and she wouldn't be forgotten.

He put the syringe back into his own pocket and caught up to Polnareff, who was obviously uncomfortable. Joseph put a hand on his shoulder and looked at him. "Hey, listen-"

He was cut off as there was a loud boom near where Jotaro had run to. They saw he was struggling to keep his composure as he held the wall for support. He had clearly been attacked and injured. They sprinted over to him and made sure none of his injuries were too bad. He shooed them off and insisted he was fine and was just caught off guard.

Joseph and Polnareff looked at each other with worried expressions. Jotaro? Caught off guard? Something was off.

"Well, do you have any idea where he is?" Polnareff asked.

Jotaro was about to say something when Joseph whipped around swiftly, taking out the syringe and seemingly stabbing the air with it. But in a matter of seconds, Eito appeared, the syringe sticking out of his neck.

They stepped back from him, observing. He removed the syringe and his eyes widened as he realized what it was and that they could see him. "How... How did you know where I was...?" His voice was not mad, nor was it disbelief, but rather curiosity.

Joseph smirked. "You know, just because we can't see you doesn't mean we can't hear you or feel you. Humans have a rather interesting feature, where they can sense that they're being watched, or someone is following them. I felt your presence. And next time you try sneaking up behind someone to kill them, try not to breathe on their neck, okay?" Joseph tapped the left side of his neck in a teasing manner.

Eito chuckled. "Well, thanks for the tips. But I assume this means I lose?"

Jotaro removed himself from the wall and approached him. He pointed at the now empty syringe. "Is that...?"

Eito nodded. "Stand cancellation serum. Quite handy while used against your enemies. I guess your doctor had grabbed some earlier, and I assume you didn't have knowledge of that, did you?"

Jotaro shook his head, but he smirked. He stepped back only slightly to stand next to Joseph and Polnareff. "Hey guys, could I ask him a few questions before we beat the shit out of him?"

Polnareff laughed. "Bombs away Joot."

Jotaro grabbed Eito by the collar. "What are you doing to Kakyoin?"

Eito held up his unarmed hands, "It's not me. I'm simply the one that ordered it. I have a henchman with a dream stand manipulating his dreams and projecting his deepest fears in his mind. But he quit after you escaped from us the first time. So he should be fine mentally."

"What about his coma?"

"My friend, I was only the cause of his coma. I intended to kill him right then and there, but I failed thanks to Dr. Hashimoto. I am not keeping him in his unconscious state. He will either wake up naturally like any other coma or never wake up. And die."

Jotaro's grip tightened out of anger and frustration of those words. But he let go and dropped Eito, who grunted and readjusted his collar.

"Any last words?" Polnareff glared. "Maybe that you're sorry for killing our friend?"

Eito chuckled. "I'm sorry... for nothing."

The three glared at him with a deadly aura, that overwhelmed him, but he would not let that show.

"Hey, Pol, Jiji, you know what time it is?"

"Yep."

"Sure do Joot."

"It's time to blow this fucker down."

Eito's eyes widened as they all summoned their stands and ran towards him almost in slow motion as his life flashed before his eyes. "Oh... shit."

...

Jotaro carried Dr. Hashi's lifeless as they made their way back to the hospital. It was finally over. They might be able to live a nice life now, to live in peace, thanks to the sacrifice that was made.

They walked in a comfortable silence as they made their way back to the hospital. When they made it there, Jotaro saw Holly in the waiting room, sitting as she covered her mouth in worry. When she heard the doors open, she looked up to see them all bloodied up. "Jotaro!" she stood up with tears in her eyes as she rushed over to him, grabbing his face. "Are you okay? Where were you!? I was worried sick! I thought something had happened... I was scared... I-"

"Mom." Jotaro pressed his face into her hand, her eyes welling up with more tears. "I'm fine. You don't need to worry so much."

Tears fell from her eyes. "I'm just glad my baby is okay... Who..." she directed her attention to who Jotaro was carrying. His face dropped and he went quiet.

He opened his mouth to speak when other Speedwagon Foundation doctors came rushing over. They took Dr. Hashi and moved her to a special room, where they would keep her there until she could be transferred to a burial site.

The three ordered Holly to stay back and ushered the other three to be checked on for their small injuries to be treated.

"Hey-" Jotaro did not like how sudden Dr. Hashi was taken away, or how fast they were being ushered away from the entrance, and more specifically, his mother. As the three were being shoved down the hallway into their own small hospital rooms, Jotaro saw something shiny in the corner of his eye. And it seems Joseph and Polnareff did too.

"Hey!" Jotaro now was struggling against the nurses and doctors, who asked him to stop resisting so they could help him. Jotaro did not listen and turned his head towards where he saw the shine. Then his eyes widened. It was near Kakyoin's room, under his door, he saw something that made his heart skip a beat.

Hierophant Green slithered under the door and looked through the hallway. He and Hierophant locked eyes.

"HEY!" Jotaro punched the nurse that was shoving him down the hallway. "Let us go!" He got free of their grip and sprinted over to Kakyoin's room, jiggling the doorknob to the locked room.

A nurse held up a hand to him, "It's locked, you can't get in."

"Well let me in dammit!!"

The nurse jolted and fumbled for her keys to the room, unlocking it, and stepping back. Polnareff and Joseph were now behind Jotaro, as they had also made it out from the doctors, who had realized they would not cooperate until they felt like it, so let them be.

Jotaro swung the door open and looked over.

"Jotaro?"

-End of Chapter Sixteen-
'The Green in Hierophant'
To be continued...

A/N: I was honestly very hesitant to post this chapter, which is why it took so long. I'm honestly really sad about killing Dr. Hashi, and it was the first time I have killed a character, so it's a new experience for me. But god, a lot of stuff happened in this chapter. It's extra-long to make up for the wait. And I hope you enjoyed it besides... you know... Dr. Hashi.

ANNOUNCEMENT!! Please read!
I have an idea. I want you guys, if you're confident enough, to draw what you think Dr. Hashi looks like. And kind of like a little art contest, you guys will put it in a book and mention me in it, and I'll put it in a chapter in this book (You'll, of course, be credited) and I will announce which ones look the most like Dr. Hashi, or just show off your art! You don't have to of course, but I would love to see your guys' art!

Love you guys!
