Fikayo looked around again and was about to talk when their hostel monitor barged in.

The Monitor was very wicked and jealous also very lazy.

She never cared what went on as long as no one disturbed her peace she was always in a bad mood and everyone avoided her.

"Why are you talking? " she asked putting the light on

"Oh oh" Shewa said eyeing Monitor Rose

Shewa was that free ,funny nice and mischeiveous girl.

Monitor Rose hated her free attitude she thought she was careless but shewa as usual cared less

"Adesewa and her team go to bed" she said with finality in her tone

Everyone mumbled and eyed her . While Fikayo chuckled.

"Hess! Come here" she said talking to Fikayo but she didn't know.and turned to sleep in her bed

"Are you deaf ni?" She shouted asking

"See let this Monitor rose go, Shewa go and meet her I want to sleep" Fikayo muttered in her sleep

"Fikkie she is calling you" Shewa said almost bursting into laughter

"Oh! Yes ,you could have just called my name" she said standing up

"Is it me you are talking to like that? Am I your mate?" She asked

"Of course not it is the wall I am talking too , besides I am supposed to ask you that question , are you my mate?" Fikayo askes .

Everyone tried to hold the laughter but Monitor Rose looked as if she could burst and everyone laughed.

She was angered,  her eyes twitched.

"All of you are washing SS1 and SS3 bathroom tomorrow morning" she said about to leave

"Ma put off the light nau some of us were sleeping when you entered" Joyce said

"Joyce I wo no ti baje? [You are also spoilt]" Monitor Rose said

"Ah ah! Aunty you met the light on and..." Joyce said but Fikayo interrupted her

"Normal courtesy says you should put it back off abi I am spoilt for saying that too?" She asked

"Who are you sef?" Monitor Rose asked

"Hehe!" Fikayo clapped her hands

"I swear they are wasting money on people like you" Fikayo said and went to out off the light.

She stepped on the monitors toes intentionally and turned back "oops!" She smirked

She entered her bed , "good night miss Rose"

Monitor Rose stormed out leaving the door open.

"Mary go and close door" Stephanie said from her bed

"You do have leg abi" Mary hissed

"I am on the top na and you ..." stephanie said but was shushed by Funmilade

There was silence and all that could be heard was the wind blowing outside.

"Guys you know we are washing toilet tomorrow?" Shewa asked sitting up

"True talk sha ,but reason am Monitor Rose dosent stay true to her words" Mary said

"I agree but again let's use her favorite to beg her" Shewa said

"Shayo!!" Mart shouted and everyone shushed her

"Am I not working in your favor? Abeg shurrup!" She said as Shayo who shared a bunk with Fikayo sat up

"I am not begging anybody o, I know me I won't wash toilet" Shayo said

"I swear this girl is mad o" Funmilade said

"Abi , so she would escape we would na be washing toilet and what would you be doing?" Mary asked rhetorically but she answered anyway

"Go and find a teacher to be his or her pet but don't disturb me" she said and turned back to sleep

"Chai Shayo don run mad o" Shewa said

"I knew she was a goat but this is just whoa" Stepahnie added

"It means all of us except Shayo is washing toilet?" Angela asked

"Don't jump to conclusions,  if Shayo can't help she would join us ,very simple" Lade laughed from her bed.

"Chai Lade you are thinking like me o" Fikayo laughed too

Everyone knew that as long Lade and fikayo were in their set they were somehow safe.

"Where is my scarf?" Stephanie asked running about

"I don't know on your head?" Mary laughed as Steph touched it and saw it was there.

She was a scattered brain. Fikayo chuckled and remembered Irene from Malory Towers.

Everyone was wearing a blue ankara sewn into anything either skirt and blouse or iro and buba or a simple gown.

Only Fikaho stood out. She had sewn hers into a Blue gown reaching her knees ,it had a zipper at the front making it look like a jacket and she had added a small hoodie.

She didn't sow it in school, Durh! Sje just found it among her things this morning and wore it with her white sneakers.

Everyone looked chick. They all walked to the dining hall.

For some reaisn the SS2 set was popular maybe because of their drama or how they related.

They went to their table and sat down.  The boys joined later wearing the same blue ankara hit sewn into different styles.

Fikayo admired Hakeem's shirt and trousers. She smiled sheepishly to herself earning a glare from Funmilade who sat beside her.

"What  I cant smile again nhi?" Fikayo found herself asking Fumilade who laughed in return

"Ladies!" Tiolu greeted as he sat opposite Fikayo

"Oh Jesus, here we go" she muttered as she eyed him

"Better stand up and get your food before it finishes" Tiolu said

"Why do you care?" She asked

"Girrl! You have problems o do as you wish" Tiolu said turning to Funmilade

"I heard Monitor Rose said you are washing toilet" he said laughing

"Mtchew! And the stupid Shayo dosen't want to help but Lade and Fikkie jave planned to do something" Funmilade said standing up with her plate

Eveyone stood up to get their food. Fikayo sat. She never ate it amd would never eat it.

"Fikayo aren't you getting somehting?" Hakeem asked

She looked at him and shook her head.

"You don't expect me to eat that?" She asked

"I don't expect you to still be like this...."
