6: Central Park

*Mature Content*

Jesse was content. He was probably the happiest he's been in years, and it was all because of the girl walking beside him.

He wanted to look over at her. He wanted to engrave every piece of her into his mind, so he could never forget. But the last time he tried doing that four minutes ago he ran into somebody on the street. Literally.

So he had to settle for holding her hand and shooting quick glances at her every couple minutes from the corner of his eye.

"This place is  . . ."

"Amazing," he said over the loud sounds of taxi's honking and people yelling. In such a busy city he was amazed to feel at such peace. In the quiet town of Greenfield he never felt as calm as he did right then, walking on the packed sidewalk covered in trash.

India shot him a quick look before looking straight ahead again. He couldn't see a smile on her face but he knew that was happy too. Being anywhere but Greenfield would make her happy.

Speaking of . . . "Have you spoken to your Dad yet?"

India's hand tensed in Jesse's grip before sliding away. He knew he should have kept his mouth shut. "How many times have I told you that I'm never speaking to him again?"

Jesse grabbed her hand again in a tight grip. No way was he going to let go when they were wandering the streets of New York City, even if she was pissed at him. She whined and tried to squirm her hand away from him before giving up.

"I'm sorry," he whispered in her ear. "I shouldn't have said anything."

"But you did," she exclaimed, taking a step away from him so he was out of her ear. "You've asked every day since I've been here and I tell you the same damn thing Jesse."

"I'm just trying to be logical babe. You start college in less than a week and you have no supplies, no dorm stuff, nothing. You left all of it in Greenfield with him. What are you going to do?"

"Let me figure that out," she snapped, her eyes blazing in anger. Jesse hadn't seen her this angry since she found out about the bet. Even then she was more upset than mad.

Jesse pulled her to the side, away from the crowds of people. He grabbed her waist and held her in place so she wouldn't try to walk away from him into the crowd where he wouldn't be able to find her again.

"I'm sorry baby," he said honestly. "You're right. I'll let you deal with it and I shouldn't have pestered you about it."

India huffed, looking away from him. He knew that the topic of her father was a tough one for her and currently he was kicking himself for bringing it up in the first place. He was just worried that come college time she wouldn't be prepared and then she would be even more upset. He was trying to make her life easier for her but she refused to see that.

Right now she had every reason to hate her Dad and as worried as Jesse was, he was going to let her fume, just not at him.

Jesse grabbed India's hand again and walked her back the way they came. India didn't say anything, probably thinking he was taking her back to the subway station that would lead them home. Instead, Jesse stopped at a small vendors station in front of a convenience store. It didn't have every type of flower but that didn't worry Jesse at all. India's favorite flower was not a rose or a lily, it was simply any yellow flower.

So with India attached to his hand he ran around the tent set up and grabbed every type of yellow flower he could find. It came out to be six kinds of different flowers.

"Jesse," India exclaimed, pulling on his arm and he handed the vendor the money. "You don't have to do this."

"Shhh," he said, getting his change back and stuffing it in his pocket. He leaned over and kissed India on the lips softly. "Next time I pester you about him, please hit me."

She giggled and stood up on her tip toes to kiss his cheek. "I love you Jesse."

Jesse smiled like a crazed maniac he was so happy and plucked the small bouquet off the table. "Here are your flowers babe. They're almost as beautiful as you."

India wrapped her hands around the stems, her mind in far off places, but Jesse didn't notice. He kissed her hand that he was holding and continued on his way down the New York sidewalks.

...

It was later in the afternoon that Jesse found a secluded spot for them both in Central Park. It was away from prying eyes and their dogs.

India's bouquet of flowers sat next to them on the grass and she couldn't take her eyes off of them. They were gorgeous and it made her heart sing to look at them but at the same time it made her heart twist. Something was not right and she didn't know how to bring it up to Jesse.

They've been together for months and throughout those months she lost count of how many times she told him she loved him. But not once has she heard the words leave his mouth.

She was probably over thinking it and with everything going on with her family she was just trying to look for more people to push away. She didn't want to push Jesse away, even if at the moment she wanted to be alone.

She was sitting between his legs, her back against his chest. His arms were wrapped around her stomach and his head was resting on his shoulder.

"I'm so glad you're here with me babe," he whispered. "This place is perfect but you make it even better."

India had to agree that New York was cool, maybe not perfect, but cool. She was entranced by everything the first couple of days but then it got to be too much. When she thought about getting out of Greenfield and travelling she didn't think New York, or any city in America worked well with what her idea was. She dreamed of being in the middle of a whole new culture, not a place where the only language spoken was English. She wanted to smell new foods, not the same old hamburger and hotdog stands that littered New York. She wanted real authentic ethnic food that wasn't ruined by American's with bad taste buds.

If she went to New York without Jesse she knew she could not last long. The only reason she stayed was because Jesse was there too. She couldn't leave him behind.

"What are you thinking about," he whispered when she didn't respond.

She took a deep breath. "Us."

She could feel him smile against her skin. "Oh yeah? What about us?"

"Just how I never want to leave your side," she admitted. "I don't think I could survive the world without you."

"I wish you knew how brave you are," Jesse exclaimed, planting a kiss on her neck and tightening his grip on her waist. "And how strong how you are," he continued, planting another kiss that made India gasp for air. "And fuck," he breathed, making India's insides melt. She loved it when he cursed like that. "Do you even realize how fucking beautiful you are?" He kissed her neck then pulled her skin between his teeth, pulling slightly. She moaned softly, arching her back against him. She didn't want him to stop, especially when his hand travelled down to the hem of her dress.

His soft fingers rested on her skin, travelling oh so slowly up her dress to her thigh. She was breathing hard now, her hands gripping Jesse's arm in anticipation.

Over the summer they would sit just like this under the tree in one of their town's park. They would kiss and make out but it never got to be any more than that. India would always make him stop because she was afraid that it would end the way it did before, in disappointment.

As his hand travelled higher up her thigh, almost getting to the edge of her underwear, she grabbed his hand, making him stop.

She could feel the way his shoulders slumped against hers. "Come on babe," he whispered huskily in her ear. "I want to make you feel good."

She knew exactly what he meant but after he took her virginity she had the bad thought of if he was even capable of doing it. There was only one way to find out.

Hesitantly she let go of his hand, grabbing on to his arm again for support. Jesse smiled against her skin, licking her slightly. His hand continued its venture up her thigh and down, until his entire palm was resting on the outside of her underwear. India wondered if he could feel how wet she was for him. The idea kind of excited her. She expected Jesse to start rubbing her or something but instead his hand stayed where it was, not moving.

He kissed and bit her neck, surely leaving hickeys. She didn't want to whine and sound desperate but she wanted his hand to do something. She was tempted to do it herself if he wasn't going to move it.

But then he spoke. "You have no idea what you do to me do you?" To show her exactly what he was talking about he pushed her up against him, using only the hand that laid between her legs. The unpredicted pressure against her made her moan out. It only increased when she realized what he was talking about.

Resting against her butt was his hard length, as stiff as a rod. The feeling made her whole body tingle. The idea of making his body act like that made her even hotter. She was the one causing that.

"Fuck," he groaned into the crook of her neck. "I can feel you baby." He rubbed his fingers against her, digging in deep and around. She threw her head back against his shoulder and let out a loud moan. Luckily, they were far enough away from the other people in the park that they wouldn't be able to hear her.

Jesse rubbed faster and harder with one hand while the other dipped into the top of her dress and took a hold of one of her breastś. He wouldn't stop laying assault to her neck and she didn't want him to. She didn't want him to stop doing anything.

Jesse distracted India by taking hold of her nipplé and pinching it. After she got over that blissful feeling she was bombarded by the sudden feeling of his fingers against her flesh.

She tightened her hold on his arms and gasped. "Oh fûck," she moaned before she could control herself.

Jesse groaned, pushing her against him once again. "I just made you cuss," he smiled, "that's so hot."

Jesse was just about to dip his finger inside of her. India could feel him at her entrance and she was excited to finally get what she wanted from him. But then his phone rang.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me," he grumbled into her neck.

The sound of the insistent ringing instantly made India forget about what was about to happen. She pulled away from Jesse, making him groan . . . and whimper.

"It's your brother Jesse," she reminded him, since his phone was blasting a song that Justin had set for himself. "You need to answer it."

He frowned slightly but answered none the less. "This better be fucking good Justin or I'm going to kill you," he growled. Jesse kept his eyes on India as she stood up and readjusted her dress. He leaned over slightly, trying to get a peek up her legs but she caught him and took two steps back.

He groaned again.

India couldn't tell what his brother was saying on the other end of the phone but as she watched Jesse's eyes light up she knew it was something good.

"Are you serious," he asked into the phone, his excitement clear. "Yeah! Yeah, we'll be home in twenty minutes . . . fine, ten. Just keep them there alright?"

"Jesse," India asked after he hung up the phone. He jumped up, grabbing the flowers and her hand and began to run towards the closest sidewalk. "What did he say?"

"You know how Bo has connections to a music label? The ones that he said will get me into the music business?"

"Yeah."

"Well they're at the apartment now. They want to meet me."
