Purple: A pessimist sees a dark, empty, depressingly echoing tunnel, but an optimist sees the light at the end of an honestly very short tunnel.

Foliage, trying to sound smart: A realist sees the train tracks in a boring tunnel.

Dark, using the brain cell the three of them share: And at the end of the story, the train driver sees the three fucking idiots standing in the middle of the train tracks, too lost in thought to care for their lives.
