I have an AU called Swapped Markery AU (wow that was obvious), and the best part is the timeline is the same until it splits off into 2 possibilities: Regular Markery AU, and Swapped Markery AU! (wow so cool)

Swapped Markery AU is where Purple and Dark Markery switch roles (wow that was even more obvious) and so now it's Bright Markery and Lilac.

Here's the immensely detailed description (nope it's just the basic gist of it) of both AUs!

The beginning is the same for both. Wild Card and Wild +4 Card start of the ✨beginning of life✨, and you know how religion goes. They make legit everything. Then Wild Card is like "nope I wanna do this alone" so he uses MAGIC to BANISH Wild +4 Card to the ✨shadow realm✨.

Then, around the time The Server (present) was building up, he makes Wild Marker, but since it was his first time coding out someone who was embedded with minor abilities (he can do a thing called superspeed cloning without a cloning machine but that's super tiring and has a higher chance of defects), he messes up and accidentally creates Forbidden. He sets out Forbidden to watch over the server and keep track of it, but Forbidden does a ✨terrible✨ job (like I would) and also gets banished to the ✨shadow realm✨(like I would).

Wild Marker is set with the task of creating clones to rule over, but he doesn't want to mess up so he invents the cloning machine in a decade of gamer rage. The cloning machine can create a fully functioning clone if you make a clone 1 at a time, and that takes 1 week to 2 months depending on how complicated the clone is. However, the cloning machine can create up to 5 clones. If you make 2 or more, you have to raise them by yourself for 9 years until they mature, then they stay the age they have to be to function as an NPC. Wild made 3- Purple, Lilac (Dark Markery), and Violet (OC). They took the full 2 months to develop since they came with ✨minor abilities✨ (will not specify have fun) but Violet (OC)'s code was so unstable it developed a virus and she died. We love ultimate unalivement.

Then, when Porple and Lilac (Dark Markery) turned 8 (they mature twice as fast, so to translate they'd be 16 but they're 8 but it's basically 16 but still 8 also they stop aging when they hit around 12-15 marker years old because that's when they're complete NPCs. game developers can whitelist them and they just die- anyways,) Wild Card put them in a contest against each other to see who would take over ✨The Server✨. Purple and Lilac (Dark Markery) ended up tying, so it was still up to Wild Card to choose in the end.

This is where the timeline splits. If Wild Card chose Purple to manage The Server, then the AU would be Regular Markery AU. However, if Wild Card chose Lilac (Dark Markery), then the AU would be Swapped Markery AU. I'll explain both of the AUS as compact as possible, even if they don't seem compact. Trust me, this is a summary OF a summary.

Regular Markery AU: Porple gets to be on the ✨pedestal of awesome✨! Wow! Mind blowing! Then they banish Lilac to the ✨Dimension of Darkness✨ (he turns into Dark Markery after he's banished). Dark Markery gets ANGREY that Porple never tried to get him out of his death sentence. Then, 5 marker years (10 years technically, but you get the point) he finds a way back to the server and ✨kidnaps✨ Purple. Boss fight ensues, they make up and tolerate each other in Purple's house with a lot of sibling fights over microwave fries. DON'T QUESTION THE HOUSE, HE HAS ONE. I WILL NOT SPECIFY. Then Wild Card finds out that Dark Markery is back, and the dude's like "lol no" so Dark Markery and Wild Card have a ✨big boss fight✨ (woah) and Wild Card is now a floating, existing soul (like voldemort but permanent and just regular ghosty). Dark Markery and Purple are back to sibling rivalry and they fight over cookies. Also, there's this whole dang redemption arc with Dark Markery and Foliage so now they're gay (we love the gay couples). You can't change my mind, but if you somehow manage to I will gift you with a ✨piece of art✨ of your request posted on this oneshot book.

Swapped Markery AU: Instead of Lilac (Dark Markery) getting banished to the ✨Dimension of Darkness✨ (which is called the ✨Dimension of Brightness✨ in this AU), it's Purple! Lilac is on the ✨pedestal of awesome✨ instead, and he does a heck good job of maintaining The Server. His social skills are bleh (like mine) but his leadership is WOAH DANG (unlike mine). His TOP TIER management is why people usually look up to him. He's still gay for Foliage (by the way). Anyways, back to Purple. Purple is really social, but then him getting isolated for a few years without anyone to talk to meant that his sanity went bye-bye👋. This is when he turns into ✨Bright Markery✨! Woah! Anyhow, since his sanity went bye-bye👋, he trains himself enough to be able to go back to the mainland within a single year, and gets really good at a bunch of skills normal people with a regular brain won't have. Also, he's equipped with ✨throwing knives✨, and is an S-tier assassin, and blackmails Yellow for supplies. Now, you may be thinking that "dang that's violent," but the next thing that happens is that he cuts down the population by 23 markers, and leaves a note for Lilac on every dead body which reminds Lilac that ✨Bright Markery✨ is still up and running. Lilac develops anxiety and goes to Foliage for comfort because he's gay for Foliage and Foliage is gay for Lilac. But then Bright Markery takes half a leaf out of Wild Card's book, and ✨banishes✨ Foliage to the Washable Kingdom just to make Lilac suffer. After a while, he finally gets the supplies and space to kidnap Lilac and murder attempt ensues. The boss fight is a lot harder, respawning doesn't work, and it gets pretty bloody. Lilac almost dies, and so does The Player, until they manage to knock Bright out and bring him back to the mainland for ✨therapy✨. They manage to get Bright's sanity back with NPC power and a bit of recoding from Wild Marker. Remember Wild Marker? Bright still has his lethal abilities but isn't murdering anyone except for Wild Card, who dies of "natural causes" (cough cough it was Bright cough cough) in his sleep. Bright now has a therapy doggo, and lives with Lilac. They have some more civilized sibling talks, like Bright starting out with "just because I'm not crack-insane anymore doesn't mean I don't hate your guts," and Lilac responding with "Bright, we're twins. That's completely normal." Very civilized.
