I pulled weakly at Ghetsis's hand which was cutting off most my air supply but my little hands did nothing against his strength. The little air I could breath in wasn't enough to sooth my burning lungs.

:Samurai help me!: I whimpered. :Please: I looked over to him weakly, struggling to move from the lack of air.

Samurai raised his fists but didn't do anything his expression looked angry, upset and conflicted.

"How does one, pathetic little runt, who can't even speak, somehow stop the whole of Team Plasma!?" Ghetsis growled as I clawed more and more desperately at his hand, scratching away some of his skin so small trails of blood ran down his hand but his grip didn't loosen. "Well you won't get in my way anymore. I'll make sure of that."

My attempts to free myself were becoming weaker and weaker as dark spots interrupted my vision. The calls of my friends and Pokemon were fading as I struggled to free myself from Ghetsis's iron grip.

>Jake's pov<

Paige's body was slowly becoming limp. I felt so useless, if I didn't do anything Ghetsis would strangle her if I did, he would snap her neck. I balled my hands into fists as N started yelling.

"We had a deal, you said you wouldn't hurt her!" He yelled.

"I agreed not to hurt her if Pokemon are liberated from people, you failed so I don't have to keep my side of the deal." His grip relaxed slightly and Paige took this opportunity to breath in deeply, letting out small whimpers.

"Let her go! What ever problem you have with her I'll deal with, just let her go." N said deadly serious.

Ghetsis smirked. "Well it seems I have the upper hand." He turned to Paige who was still weakly struggling from his grip. "Literally."

"What do you what Ghetsis?" N hissed taking a step forward but recoiled when Ghetsis tightened his grip on Paige. "I told you not to come closer." He sneered.

Paige whimpered and started gasping for air again. Her fingers barely being able to pull at Ghetsis hand, not being able to fight anymore. I don't know how much longer she would be able to last.

"Let Paige go and we'll give you whatever it is you want." N said through the grit of his teeth.

Paige weakly opened her eyes and looked over at N, whimpering again. By the look on her face you could tell she was in a lot of pain and she was still gasping for air but seemed as if she wasn't getting any. Tears poured from her eyes as they fluttered close again.

~That! Is! IT!~ Samurai hissed and a bright glow filled the room, almost like a Pokemon was evolving but brighter.

The glow came from Samurai. His blades grew thicker, stronger. The curve on his head changed shape and a cape sprouted for his back.

While everyone, including Ghetsis, was recovering of Samurai Mega Evolving spontaneously he charged forward his blades glowing with a Close Combat attack as he slammed his right hand into Ghetsis's side making him drop Paige, she fell to the ground completely limp, gasping for air while coughing and sobbing. Samurai hit Ghetsis again and again, pushing him further and further from Paige's fallen figure.

N was the first to recover, dashing forward and pulling Paige protectively into his arms as she coughed and sobbed while trying to regain her breath which wasn't really working. Her eyes were still tightly closed and her neck was turning a mixture of blues, purple and black.

I was next to her side, rubbing her back while trying to encourage her to stop sobbing so she could breath. I glanced over at Samurai who was being dragged back by the rest of Paige's Pokemon, away from what looked like Ghetsis's unconscious figure.

I looked back at Paige and knew something was wrong. She was coughing harder, even coughing up a little blood, and wasn't taking in enough air. Her lips were turning blue as she still struggled to breath.

"We need to get her to a doctor fast." N frowned, worry showing all over his face as he rubbed Paige's back.

"The closest one is in Opilucid City. I can take her." I offered quickly while pulling out a handkerchief from my pocket and wiping away the blood she'd coughed up.

N didn't argue and handed Paige to me. I pulled Tutie-Frutie's Pokéball from my belt and let her out before climbing on with Paige in my arms.

"Hurry. I'll take care of Milly, Kay and Paige's Pokemon." N nodded. "Hurry."

I nodded and ordered my Tropius where to go, urging her to go as fast as she can.

Without reply, Tutie-Fruitie took flight and flew out the hole made by Zekrom and flew faster than I've ever flown in her before. I looked down at Paige who was still struggling to breath.

"Hold on Paige. Just a little longer I promise. Just keep trying." I begged, holding her tightly in my arms. "Please."

Paige twitched slightly and her head moved up and down slightly showing she'd heard. I wiped away more blood, it wasn't very much but it was still worrying that she was coughing it up at all.

We landed in Opalucid City and I leapt off Tutie-Fruitie, not wasting time returning her and I ran with Paige inside the Pokemon Centre.

Nurse Joy took one look at Paige and my desperate look before ordering an Audino to bring a stretcher. Within seconds I was laying Paige down on it and Nurse Joy was placing an Oxygen mask over her mouth. "Wait out here please." She said before quickly taking Paige into another room.

I collapsed onto one of the chairs and buried my head into my hands, praying Paige would be okay.

~Tropius.~ Something nudged my head.

I looked up to see Tutie-Fruitie looking down at me calmly. She nudged my chest lightly and rubbed her head against my cheek. ~Tro tropius us.~

I sighed and rubbed her head before returning her. I was to worried about Paige to try and guess what she was trying to say.

It didn't take long for everyone else to arrive. Samurai was back to normal and looked dazed and was being lead by Gardenia.

"Where's Paige?" N asked quickly.

"Nurse Joy took her, I haven't heard anything yet." I replied glumly, not looking up.

"What happened to Samurai?" Kay asked. "At the castle, I thought Gallade was fully evolved but then he went back to normal."

"That was Mega Evolution. A type of evolution that is only temporary. It can only be done if a trainer has two items a Key Stone and Mega Stone or so I thought. Paige had neither, right?" N said.

I nodded. "So how did you do it Samurai?" I asked turning to the blue Galade.

~I don't know. I wanted to help Paige so badly but I couldn't without her getting hurt instead and then I felt this... surge of power and a soft and gentle yet superior voice in my head telling me to save her and I did, the next thing I know I'm being dragged away from Ghetsis. It's as much a mystery to me as to you.~ Samurai said.

The door opened and Nurse Joy walked out, she calmly walked over to us and smiled. "Your friend will be fine her neck has swollen quite a bit and that was interrupting her breathing but she's fine now. She's resting at this moment but you may go in and see her." Nurse Joy smiled. "Though keep it quite. She needs to rest and the oxygen mask will help her recover. May I asked what happened?"

N stayed to explain while the rest of us went to check on Paige. She was hooked up to an IV and a heart monitor in the corner let out a steady course of beeps.

Her neck was wrapped in a bandage but you could still see bits of the purple and blue bruise that was forming underneath. Her lips were fading back to their proper colour and her breathing was slightly faster, deeper than normal but otherwise fine, the oxygen mask over her mouth and nose fogged up a little with each of her breaths.

Miku was the first to move, running over to Paige and sitting on her pillow. She gently rubbed her shoulder.

~Poor mama.~ She whispered. ~Poor poor mama. You get better soon okay? You get better or I wiwll cwy.~

The rest of Paige's Pokemon, followed by Milly, Kay and I moved in. Samurai and Gardenia were both in separate chairs on one side of Paige's bed. Angel curled up at the end, watching Paige closely while Gummie flew down and lay with her. I took the chair on the opposite side of the bed that Gardenia and Samurai was in and gently took her hand into my own.

It was cold compared to my own so I wrapped my fingers around hers, gently rubbing my thumb against the top if her hand in effort to warm it.

"Come on Paige, you're the strongest girl I know. I know you can pull through this." I whispered. "I know you can."

>Paige's pov<

Everything was dark and cold. At every turn nothing but darkness and coldness. I continued to walk forward, I didn't know where I was going but I knew I had to keep going. Something was pushing me back while something else urged me forward.

The further I went the colder it got, the darker to got to. But I kept going. I wasn't alone though, on all side I was surrounded by mirrors that reflected me into each other, showing me the way. I shivered slightly but kept on going I knew I couldn't turn back so I kept going on.

Eventually the mirrors stopped, well kinda. They lead to a room with wall made of large mirrors with one in the centre. I walked towards it and stared at my reflecting. Something in me urged myself to touch it, so I did.

The mirror rippled and seemed to radiate warmth and light. It filled the room and enveloped me, filling me with its gently touch. It slowly faded, leaving the room lit. The mirror no longer just reflected me next to me was a Pokemon... Well at least I thing it was a Pokémon.

She was small, her body and head together was about the length of my elbow to my wrist (A/N remember Paige is about the size of an eight year old) and was mostly dark purple. She had a creamy underside and long tail that was longer than her body. She had small purple paws and feet and long antennae with feather like ends. Her eyes were diamond shape with two sets of purple irises, the outside a darker purple with a lighter purple inside that had darker flecks. The most beautiful thing though were her wings. They flapped evenly and sent off little sparkles of light that when they hit the ground sprouted little... Dandylions, I guess you know, the little white things that you blow and the wind carries the seeds away, them but in every bright colour you could think of. The wings themselves looked to be made of pure wisps of light, purple, blue and pink that seemed to never have a defined pattern as they weaved around to the tips and sent out the sparkles.

I looked next to me and she wasn't there, only in the reflection, but the little daffodils were spreading around my feet, seeming to whisper to each other.

~You've done well young guardian.~ She smiled. Her voice was familiar.

I took a small step back, not knowing what to expect.

She smiled knowingly, like a mother would to her child. ~It's quite alright young one. You have nothing to fear.~

I looked at her than back at the spot she should be, still not finding anything. :Who are you?:

She flicked her wings, sending a wave of the sparkles. ~They call me the seeder, I have no set name and no set species. I'm what you would call... special.~

:You sound familiar... have we spoken before? I don't recall ever meeting you before:

~yes dear child, I have spoken to you once before. When the man you call Ghetsis took you for a second time. You were sad and I spoke, though against the rules, you seemed to need the encouragement.~

I remember now. I thought I was hearing things. :Where am I?:

~This is a dream. You were hurt and your friends brought you to safety. You are fine now so do not worry. I chose now to show myself because you have show yourself to be truly what I have hoped for.~

:What do you mean?:

~You have been without family for so long. Both your parents passed on and you were put into unkind environments when you were very young. Most if what you faced would have broken a lot of girls your ages spirt but remained strong and always did what you thought was right. That is why I chose you.~

:Chose me for what?:

The Pokemon let out a small sigh. ~That is for another time young one but for now remember, you are more powerful, braver and stronger than you think. You must remain strong, there are people in your world who need you, two in particular have grown very find of you. It is time for you to go back and great them.~

:Will I see you again?:

~Of course but I have one last message for you, remember, dreams do come true if you have the heart to believe they can.~

After that the mirror let out a bright lash of light. I squeezed my eyes close and when I opened, I was staring into a pair of brown ones. "She's awake." Jake exclaimed, smiling at me.

~Then move!~ Samurai hissed pushing him aside and stepping into my range of sight. He smiled brightly and stroked my hair. ~I'm so glad you're alright.~ He smiled as actual tears rolled down his cheeks. ~I was so scared.~

~See mama wake up. I told you she would cause she gets sad when I cwy.~ Miku said in the sassiest tone I've heard from the little Manaphy.

~How you feeling sweetie?~ Gardenia asked taking Samurai's side.

:My throat hurts: I replied quietly. :may I have a drink?: My throat was feeling dry and sore around where Ghetsis tried to choke me. How did I even get out of that?

~Of course.~ Gardenia nodded and walked away to get me something.

Samurai was pushed out of the way by Jake. "Are you alright? You've been out for three days."

My eyes widened. Three days? How did that happen? I mean that mirror path thingy took a while, but three days?

Gardenia came back with a mug in her hands. ~Here this should help.~ She smiled and sat the mug on the bedside table before helping me sit up, making sure to hold the back of my head so I didn't hurt my neck more. I could see everyone after that.

The window let in moonlight from outside, shining on Kay who was sleeping with her head resting on N's shoulder. N was asleep to, his head resting on top of Kay's. Milly was sleeping with her head on N's other shoulder. Angel was sleeping with Gummie at the end of my bed and there was three chair pulled up against the side. Miku was now sitting on my lap, happily hugging my shirt and Jake and Samurai were sitting down while Gardenia sat me comfortably and held up the cup which had a red and white stripy straw.

I took a long sip of the straw, the liquid inside was creamy and sweat, instantly soothing my raw and dry throat.

Gardenia pulled it away after a moment. ~Better?~

:Yes, thank you: I smiled slightly at my Pokemon.

~Anytime.~

I tried to stifle a yawn, despite sleeping for three days I was already tired again. ~It's okay Paige, get some rest.~ Gardenia smiled. ~We'll be right here when you wake up.~

I nodded before wincing at my bruised throat. Gardenia helped me lay down again, Miku jumped to my side and patted my head. ~Miku sing mama song to help sleep. Twinkle twinkle wittle star, how I wonder what you are. Up above der wowld so high, wike a diamond in da sky. Twinkle twinkle wittle star. How I wonder what you are.~

By the time she finished, I was drifting into sleep once more.

(Normally I'd finish here but I'm gonna give you guys a really long chapter today ;D )

When I woke up again the sun was shining through the curtains. The bright light hurt my head a little and I was feeling a little dizzy.

N was the only one in the room, watching me silently but his face lit up when he saw me awake. "I was hoping you'd wake up soon." He smiled. "The others left because I wanted to talk with you. If it's alright?"

I gave a slight nod so I didn't hurt my neck.

"I wanted to apologise for how I acted. I know I scared you and hurt you a lot with what I said. Anthea and Concordia did tell you about what Ghetsis said right?"

I gave another slight nod.

"He promised to do so many horrible things to you, it scared me. I just wanted to make sure you were alright if Ghetsis made any of the things he promised happened to you I would never forgive myself. I'd rather live with you hating me than live knowing I let that happen. That's why I agreed." N said quietly. "Do you forgive me?"

I smiled and opened up my arms for a hug. N smiled back and leaned over to hug me back, lifting me up slightly while being carful to support my head. "I'll take this as a yes?"

I giggled and little and gave a little nod. Of course I'd forgive N. He only wanted to keep me safe like he always did, and he took care of me all my life. How could I say no?

N beamed. "I'm glad of that."

He set me gently back down and stroked my hair. "You'll always be my baby girl. I don't care how old you get."

I blushed slightly at N's old nickname for me. He's been calling me that since I was seven.

"Are you hungry? You haven't eaten in like three and a half days."

In response my tummy let out a loud growl making me blush again.

N chuckled. "I made some of my chicken soup I used to make for you." (A/N it was chicken or Torchic and since Jake has a Blazikan I didn't think that would play out well...)

I smiled again. N would always make me chicken soup if I got sick at the castle. It would always make Ghetsis mad cause N wouldn't let me out of bed and he would do my jobs instead.

When I thought of Ghetsis I flinched slightly and the bruise around my neck begun to feel like it was burning, as if his hand was once again around my throat. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and pull me into the persons chest. N rested his chin my head a rocked me a little. "It's alright baby girl. He's never going to hurt you again. I won't let him. I promise, you're safe now and forever."

Gah! I only have the epilogue left .-. I'm gonna cry :'( I must admit this had been my favourite book I've written. Unlike my other books everyone's personality is much more flexible and can be grown and changed easily like Paige is no longer scared of everything and much braver and stronger to. I love it and the while times she's adorable and completely oblivious to N and Jake's actual feelings!!! EEK KAWAII OVERLOAD!!!

This is by far the longest chapter I have ever written *self achievement* and the main point of this chapter is setting up the sequel which I've been planning since I started writing this book I just wanted to tease you all!!! >:)

So what do you think about 'the seeder'? And Samurai Mega Evolving? that was unexpected you have to admit. But I planned that from the start XD I'm loving this!

So tomorrow will most likely be the epilogue and who knows when 'Find my courage' will be out since u have 'Why us?', 'Star struck', 'Blurred out' and 'Shattered' to write but I'll let you know in my randomness book when nuts up so keep your eyes peeled.
