2~ not for trade!
>Jake's Pov<
Paige ran to another bush and continued to poke at its leaves and run her fingers along the branches, again.
So far she had done that to almost every bush we passed.
"How many's that now?" I asked Milly amused.
"I stopped keeping count long ago... why do you think she finds bushes, rivers and other normal stuff so interesting, as if she's never seen one before?"
"Maybe she doesn't get out much..."
Samurai nodded from next to me, keeping a close eye on Paige.
Paige ran to the river and crouched down and looked into it, smiling at the water Pokemon swimming around in the water.
We finally caught up to her. She was reaching out, touching the water with her finger tips.
An Oshawat poked his head above the water to get a better look at Paige. She smiled and reached out to pat him. But he dived under water and out of her reach, swimming further up stream. Paige seemed disappointed, this gave me an idea.
"Hey Paige. Wanna met my Pokemon?" I asked
She smiled an nodded enthusiastically and stood up.
I grabbed the first Pokéball off my belt and let out the Pokemon in it.
Torch, my Blazikan materialised and looked down at Paige, who was approaching the taller Pokemon cautiously.
She stopped in front of him an looked up at him and cocked her head. I walked up next to her and smiled. "This is Torch, he was my first Pokemon." I informed her proudly
Paige reached up to pat his head. He smiled and bent down so she could pat his beak.
Samurai looked tense as if he expected Torch to hurt her at any moment. But Gardenia held him back, smiling slightly at her trainer.
I got the next Pokéball off my belt and let out my next Pokemon. "This is my Tropius, Tutie-Fruitie."
Paige walked over to her and reached up again to pat her nose, and Tutie reached down and nuzzled Paige's chest making her jump back a little but then giggled silently (at least I think it was meant to be a giggled. Its hard to tell since she's mute) and wrapped her arms around Tutie-Fruitie's neck.
I let out my next Pokemon a Crawdaunt named King. He wasn't the friendliest of Pokemon, but he seemed to tolerate Paige... to a level He threatened to snap her when she tried to pat him, making Samurai extremely angry and it took both Milly and Gardenia to hold him back.
"Just ignore him, King can be a bit unfriendly. This is Swift she's much friendlier." I said letting out my Ninjask.
Swift flew around Paige and settled on her head, Paige giggled silently again and picked Swift up off her head.
Swift sat in Paige's arms patiently while Paige ran her fingers over her wings and back.
"This is my last Pokemon, Ghoul the Gangar." I let out my final Pokemon.
Paige let Swift go and went to pat Ghoul but jumped back when hand went strait through him. Ghoul smirked and floated over to Paige and smiled eerily, Paige hid behind Gardenia and peeked out nervously and the ghostly Pokemon.
"Paige, Ghoul is a ghost type it's body is made out of gas." I explained. she nodded but still looked a little nervous.
"Oh and these are my Pokemon. Moon and Serene." Milly let out her two Pokemon.
Paige walked out nervously from behind Gardenia and walked towards the Delcatty and patted her head.
Moon leaned into her touch and purred making Paige giggle silently once again and Paige gave Moon a hug.
Lucky last was Serene the Snivy who ran up Paige's arm and sat on her shoulder, nuzzling her chin. Paige patted her head and smiled.
About an hour of walking later we stopped for lunch. We ate in silence apart from the occasional mutter from the Pokemon.
After lunch Gardenia went into a convocation with Torch, Ghoul looked quiet jealous at this. Paige was playing chase with Moon, Serene and Swift, with Tutie-Fruitie watching. King had decided he was to cool for games and just sat in the shade glaring at who ever looked at him and lastly Samurai just watched his sister and Paige keeping a close eye on Torch who he clearly didn't trust for some reason.
"Do you think we should leave now if we're to get to Verbank City in time." Milly said.
I nodded. "That's a good idea." i looked over at Paige who was still playing chase with our Pokemon. "Come on Paige. where leaving now." I called out to her.
Paige ran over to us smiling. I returned my Pokemon apart from Swift who was keeping up just fine with Paige, thinking that this would make Samurai feel better than Paige wondering around on her own. He was obviously very over protective of Paige.
I wonder why?
Paige was running away from Swift as they played there own game of chase and she wasn't looking were she was going and crashed into another trainer, falling on her butt.
Milly, Samurai, Gardenia and I ran to catch up and apologise for Paige.
"You should watch were you're going pipsqueak!" The trainer said rudely
Paige frowned and let Samurai help her up.
The new trainer looked at Samurai and Gardenia quiet amazed.
"Hey kid, what would you like for your shines?" She asked
Paige just looked confused.
"She's asking to trade with you Paige. She wants Samurai and Gardenia."
Paige looked horrified at this and held Samurai's hand tightly and shook her head.
"Oh come on. A pipsqueak like you doesn't need or deserve such strong And rare Pokemon."
Samurai glared at her and took a step closer to Paige. Daring the new trainer to come closer.
"Why don't you talk? you afraid of somethin'?" She smirked.
"My friend Paige is mute." I explained, Paige gave me a thankful look and I nodded back to her. "And she says Samurai and Garienia are not for trade."
"This is none of your business" she snarled. "How about a battle? if I win you trade me your shines." She said it as if it was the idea of the century.
Paige shook her head again and took another step closer to her Pokemon. Swift flew protectively in front of her.
I took a step in front of Paige. "Her Pokemon at not for trade."
The new trainer glared and went to walk off. "This isn't over." With that she disappeared.
~Jerk.~
Where the hell did that come from!
I looked around and my gaze settled on Samurai who was looking in the direction that the trainer went.
"Hey Paige?" She looked at me. "Can Samurai use telepathy?"
She nodded and pointed to Gardenia and nodded again.
"So they both can?"
She nodded again and we started to walk forward towards the next town. Paige was walking quietly in between Samurai and Gardenia, holding there hands tightly.
This was going to be interesting.
