~ Paige's pov

I huffed as I pulled frantically at Jake's sleeve trying to get him to hurry up. Since I was like half his size it didn't work well and ended in me having to slow down.

What is the world coming to? Me? Slow down? Really?

After Samurai and I had finished at the fare thingy we'd gone back to the Pokemon centre to wait for Jake so I could show him where I used to live like... 7 years ago. I missed the place with all my old friends and carers. Most of my friends have probably been adopted but some might still be there. I hope Kay is. She was my absolute best friend.

"OH MY RESHIRAM!!! PAIGE!!!" Was all I heard before I was tackled into a hug.

Speak of the devil.

I looked up to see the fiery red hair of my old friend. I hugged her back. It's been seven years since I last saw her and I missed her a ton.

When Kay, or Makayla, finally got off me I stood up and dusted myself off.

Jake poked my shoulder. "Mind introducing me to your cute friend." He smirked... I think it was a smirk...

"Oh sorry I'm Makayla, Paige's old friend." She smiled and stuck her hand out for Jake and Milly to shake.

Jake shook her hand then Milly did the same.

Kay turned to me. "Now I got a ton of questions for you missy WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE PAST KYREUM FORSAKEN SEVEN YEARS!?!?"

Umm...

Jake and Milly looked confused while Samurai and Gardenia were looking at each other with unreadable expressions.

:Guys what do I say or write or whatever!?: I panicked.

~The truth?~ Samurai said.

:But... I can't. What will they say? What will they think? What if they give me back to Team Plasma!?: I said worriedly.

~Mana-PHEEEEYYYYYYYYY!!!~ Miku suddenly burst out, throwing her arms into the air.

Thank you Miku!!!

"Oh my Zekrom!!! Is she yours Paige?! Shes so KAWAII!!!" Kay squealed fangirling over my blue adorable Pokemon.

Miku seemed to be enjoying the attention and was making cute faces.

Nyuu seemed to be jealous of all the attention Miku was getting because she jumped off my head and gave Kay a cute face.

"OH MY VICTINI!!! LOOK AT HER!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HAVE SO MANY CUTE POKEMON AND YOU HAVEN'T VISITED IN 7 YEARS!!! WAIT!!! What happened to you that day?" Kay asked worried. I don't blame her, after that day.

I shifted from foot to foot, not knowing what to say. I held my hands tightly together, looking at my feet a moment.

I pulled out my little blackboard and quickly scribbled something down.

It's a long story.

"Well I have time. I'm not meant to be back for like another hour. Just wait till I tell everyone that I found you. Oh oh you know that family that came, you know the really nice one who everyone liked? Turns out they wanted to adopt you! But instead the adopted Kate. She was so lucky!!!"

"Wait you're an orphan Paige?" Jake asked.

I hesitantly nodded, taking a step closer to Samurai and Gardenia.

Jake looked shocked while Milly had a look of pity on her face.

"So how'd you end up in Floccesy town?" Jake asked.

"Wait you were in Feloccesy town?"

I looked at Samurai then Gardenia, frantically asking them to help. They just shrugged.

Gee, thanks. Wait... I just used sarcasm!

Everyone was looking at me expectantly. I quickly scribbled down Stop staring! on my chalk board.

"Can you answer us then?" Milly asked.

I shook my head.

"Why not?" Kay whined. "Do you know how freaken worried I was after that man just took you off the street?"

I just stared at my blackboard trying to think of something to write. Of course I know how worried she was for me, that had literally been the worst day of my life. I can't remember anything about my parents and Kay practically was an older sister to me the way N is like my older brother.

Eventually I wrote on my black board and showed them what I said.

I don't like talking about it.

"Why?"

It scares me

I didn't look any of them in the eye. I don't like living in the past. I was free now and I didn't ever want anything to change. But what if Ghetsis finds me? If Jake and Milly don't know, then what's to stop them from believing whatever excuse he makes up? I can't exactly yell at them or protest.

I felt a hand place itself on my shoulder and I looked up to see Jake smiling at me. "You can trust us Paige, we're your friends. It might be better to get it off your chest then to keep it inside."

I sighed deeply and gave a final glance to Samurai and Gardenia before I nodded.

You might want to sit down.

We found a nice grassy hill to sit on. So I sat with Samurai and Gardenia on ether side of me, Nyuu on my head and Miku on my lap. Jake was sitting across from me with Milly to his left and Kay to his right.

"So..." Jake started.

Instead of using my blackboard I decided to get Samurai and Gardenia to translate, that way I didn't kill my hand writing.

:I'll start from the beginning for Jake and Milly's sake,: I began. :it started as a normal day of me and Kay going out to play in some nearby fields. I was about 7 at this time anyway, Kay and I were on our way back to the orphanage when a black car pulled up next to us, a man got up and basically threw me in the car: I took a deep breath in :I don't know where we went but it took a long time to get there. Anyway when we did finally get to wherever it was, I was pushed in front of a man named Ghetsis basically whatever he wanted me for I couldn't do since I am mute. After that he locked me in a room and later a boy named N or Natural came in and he became like a big brother to me. Ghetsis started using me as a slave, making me clean stuff for him. N took care of me the whole time. If I was sick he'd nurse me to health, if I was sad he was there for me. However as we both got older Ghetsis started sending N on missions or something and I couldn't see him as much. So he gave me two Pokèmon eggs that he found one time. They soon hatched into Samurai and Gardenia as Raltz and they helped to care for me when N couldn't. After 7 years I finally became fed up with the place and when an opera unity opened up, I ran away. I was to scared to try before so no one expected me to, making my escape easier after that is when Jake found me in Floccesy town. I've been traveling with him ever since. I caught Nyuu on my journey and hatched Miku not to long ago:

~MIKU KAWAII!!!!!!!~ Miku suddenly burst out making us all laugh.

:So that's my story. I've run into N a few times but he had promised to keep my secret away from Ghetsis and said he won't tell him where I am:

Kay looked at her hands. "So that's why you haven't come and seen us in 7 years?"

I nodded.

Jake and Milly were both quiet. "So you're on the run from this Ghetsis guy?"

I nodded again.

Jake smiled brightly. "Well you're safe with us, you can be sure if it."

I smiled with my eyes shining. :Thank you:

Yay another chapter!!! Sorry I've gotten a bit carried away with 'Why you?' But don't worry I'm almost finished it and I have no plans on starting other books until its finished.
