14: Saved

The sound of an engine driving into HQ's garage, caught the attention of the members who were on the mission with them in the living room. Kun got up and opened the door. His jaw drop seeing Doyoung carrying Yuna in his arms, eyes watery.

Kun stepped aside to make way for Doyoung as he went straight up the stairs to Yuna's room. Everyone in the living room watched curiously yet they were concerned on why Yuna was being carried in.

Minjung who couldn't read the atmosphere and situation, got up and followed the two, wanting to thank Yuna. She knocked on the door softly before opening the door, seeing Doyoung place her on the bed. Doyoung turned around and was shocked to see the girl.

"Do you need something?"
"Is she okay?"

Doyoung looked at Yuna before looking back at Minjung. "She needs her rest. You should probably rest as well. You were probably shocked from today's events"

Doyoung was about to exit when Minjung stopped him. She bit her lip nervously as she looked at Yuna. Returning her gaze to Doyoung, she decided to not ask, walking away, leaving him alone.

It was 8PM when Yuna woke up, feeling her body sore. She sat up, trying to recall what had happened.

'I went to the alley. I didn't have my weapons. The man found me and then..'

That was when she remembered what happened. She was lucky Doyoung was there. But what would've happened if he wasn't? She couldn't imagine the pain and trauma the kids had felt that day. She was barely touched yet she was already shaking.

Shaking off her thoughts, she stood up and walked to her dresser, tying up her hair. She looked up and saw her reflection in the mirror, feeling disgusted, mad, upset at herself for being weak. Tears started to spill as she stood up abruptly, the chair falling down which alarmed some of the members.

She grabbed the object nearest to her, throwing it to her mirror, shattering it to millions of tiny fragments. She screamed as she closed her ears, falling beside her bed.

The sound of rushing footsteps went unheard to Yuna as the door to her room opened. She didn't look up to the figures, shrugging them off when she felt a slight touch on her.

Someone that placed their hands on her hands that were covering her ears. "Calm down. You're safe. No one here is going to hurt you. You can trust me. Shhh deep breaths"

The voice calmed her as she started taking deeper breaths, the impulses in her earlier fading slowly. She opened her eyes, adjusting them to the lights, seeing multiple worried faces.

"Most of you should leave. She's going to feel overwhelmed"
Kun said as almost all of them started to leave, leaving Kun, Doyoung and Haerin inside the room. Haerin helped Yuna to sit on the bed, avoiding the pieces of glass on the floor.

She fully calmed down after 3 whole minutes of deep breathing, Doyoung and Kun cleaning the glass as Haerin comforted Yuna. Yuna looked up, looking at Kun and Doyoung who had finished sweeping the floor.

"I'm sorry for creating a mess"
Yuna apologized quietly, it going unheard to Doyoung and Kun. Haerin shook her head, pulling Yuna into a hug.

"No. Don't apologize, unnie. We're more glad that you're showing it. Doyoung said you were..emotionless earlier"
Yuna sighed, feeling bad that other people had to clean up after her. Noticing her face, Doyoung sat on her other side, pushing her head onto his shoulder.

"I don't know how many times I have to say this but we're family now. You don't have to take responsibility alone. You can lean on others now. I know, you've been alone for years and you're not used to this but please give us a chance to help you"

It was silent for awhile. Kun taking a seat on the chair that had fallen over earlier, Haerin's hand rubbing Yuna's back comfortingly, Doyoung still having Yuna on his shoulder as Yuna thought of Doyoung's words.

"Thank you"
The three smiled slightly as Yuna sat up straight, expression less tense. Kun then asked to check her hands or arms just in case the glass that broke earlier scratched her.

After wrapping her left hand which had a long cut, Yuna's tummy grumbled slightly, the three breaking out in laughter as Yuna smiled, embarassed.

"Let's go eat. The younger ones refused to eat until you wake up, saying it wouldn't be fun without you"
Kun said as he got up, getting his med kit as Haerin walked with her to the dining room.

Doyoung was about to leave the room when he suddenly noticed the crescent moon lamp.

'Where did she get that..'
Doyoung decided to shrug it off but there was something at the bottom of his heart telling him this had to do something about Moon Gang.

Yuna arrived the table, seeing the younger members poking their food bored until their eyes fell to her. "Noona, you're okay"

"I'm fine, now that I really decided to see NCT as an actual family"
Yuna smiled slightly, her eyes falling to Minjung and her friend that were at the corner of the table.

"Are you girls okay?"
"Y..yeah, we're fine. We're coming to accept that not all mafia groups are bad, I guess"
"Well, technically Yuna noona wasn't apart of NCT at first. Yuna noona is actually Luna"

Chenle had said excitedly, forgetting the two girls were still trying to come to terms with the fact that the popular group of boys at their school was apart of the mafia. Haerin smacked Chenle in the back of his head as Minjung and her friend choked.

"So, it really was you that night?"
Minjung suddenly asked, all eyes falling on her. Minjung was staring directly at Yuna.

"What night?"
Yuna asked, confused as to how someone knew her.

"That night. A group of kids were brought into the alley. My..my cousin was one of them. I was heading to the area to find my cousin when I saw you limping, stopping as you glanced into that alley. I peeked from a corner. I saw you pulling out your gun and shooting the sidewalk"

Yuna was trying to recall that night. She's seen a scene familiar but she thought that was just a dream. She wasn't sure if she really did that because her memory was fogged due to her exhaustion that night.

"At first I didn't understand what you were doing. Then, you ran across the street and onto a motorbike before going somewhere. Suddenly, the people that brought the kids to the alley ran away. I looked into the alley and saw all the kids there. They're clothes were slightly ripped but the important thing was that..none of them were..well, stripped off their purity"

Minjung stepped closer to Yuna, hugging her tight. That was when she remembered. She wanted to shoot the men but her arm was weak so she shot the sidewalk instead before limping away. She felt her shoulder getting wet with Minjung's tears as she slowly lifted a hand to rub the younger girl's back.

The boys and Haerin were all quietly watching the scene and listening to the story. Minjung's friend wiped the tear that escaped her eyes, feeling a wave of emotions.

"Thank you. You saved them that day"
