Karina tried to search everything that night, but the articles always stopped until where they stated that the driver is in custody and Karina had memory loss.

No more follow-up articles after that, and Karina never know who the hell T-boned her two years ago.

Forget it. She doesn't want to know about the driver. He's already in jail, probably dying out of hunger or maybe got beaten up by his other cellmates. What she wants to know the most at the moment is why there's Winter in her memory flashbacks. She believed she didn't meet Winter after graduation, right?

Karina started scrambling all pieces of jewelry she had right now on the floor. From Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Dior. She almost had every jewelry brand in her possession right now.

But she couldn't catch a single glimpse of Swarovski.

"Why it wasn't here?", Karina asked herself.

The next day, the actress had nothing special to do. It's her free day and it's also Winter's free day. Instead of Winter, Yeonjun was the one who follow Karina out today.

The actress headed to the police station. The idea of meeting up with the detective in charge of her case spark in her mind since last night. Since she knows going to Winter for an answer might not help her at all, maybe the police can help her.

Karina pushed the door open and walk towards the main lobby of the station. Many eyes followed her movements with gasps coming out from their mouth. Some even took out their phones for pictures.

"Y-Yes, Miss Karina. May I help you?".

"I want to meet Detective Shin Ryujin, now".

Karina currently sitting right in front of Ryujin's desk. The tons of questions Karina poured onto the policewoman aren't get answered. Frustrated, Karina tapped her heels loud enough to bring back Ryujin's attention to her.

"Oh yes. What did you ask me again?", Ryujin finally left her eyes from the computer in front of her, now focusing on Karina. The actress facepalmed herself at how sometimes... police can act so nonchalantly.

"I asked to see my car details from the day of the accident, inspector", Karina hissed.

"Oh-oh okay, wait a minute...", Ryujin smiled once before typing something on her computer. It took her a minute to finally spin her desktop for Karina to see.

"Car model, Mini Cooper S, 5 seated model. Plate number, 18 MA 0101. Car owner, Karina Yu. Date purchased, 18 December 2019. Venue of purchase, Gwangjin-"

"Gwangjin? I thought I'm living in Gangnam as I did right now. No- I've been living in my parent's house in Gangnam for years. Why in the world did I purchase a car at Gwangjin?", Karina asked full of confusion.

It's weird because when Karina was discharged from the hospital, the police bring her back to her parent's house in Gangnam. If she bought a car, it should also be in Gangnam. It's not like Gangnam didn't have a car dealer shop. Let's say if Karina had lived somewhere outside Gangnam and she can't remember it, the address on her ID card still stated she lives here in Gangnam. It's just impossible.

"Oh- but it wasn't that weird Miss Yu. According to your record from the incident, it's stated here that you currently living in Gwangjin that year-"

"What??", Karina said out loud.

Ridiculous.

"But the police bring me back home to my parent's house! Not at a house in Gwangjin!".

"I don't know Miss Yu. We just follow the instructions from the upper-ups", Ryujin confessed and Karina felt like she was boiling inside. Why in the world that the police never tell her anything about this?

"Here. I'll show you your information record from that day", Ryujin said as she open up a folder from the computer, now showing the desktop again to the actress. Karina was shocked at how bizarre it is.

Karina couldn't believe her eyes.

"It's really at Gwangjin?", she asked again for assurance. But Ryujin never denies the fact that Karina really lived in Gwangjin the moment she was hospitalized.

"I bet your hospital record will say the same thing, Miss Yu".

"You lived, in Gwangjin".

"And the house is still yours", Ryujin continued.

The so-called Gwangjin house from her current Gangnam house is 10 kilometers away and it took Karina 30 minutes to arrive there. Yeonjun who still following her was instructed by the actress to wait at the front gate, Karina stepped out of her car and looked at the abandoned small yet cozy detached house surroundings.

Where did she get money to even buy a house two years ago?

The front yard is covered with dried leaves from the maple tree. Besides the brick walls, there are some dead flower stems and a small handmade wooden sign. The writing on the sign is too blurry, probably because the house owner has left the house for quite some time. The atmosphere is warm, strange enough to make Karina feel goosebumps on her bones.

Curious, Karina walked towards the small wooden sign and kneeled right in front of it. She wipes the dust off the sign, just to get a clearer sight of the writing.

She felt like choking, and her chest tightens, yet she doesn't know the reason why. In the same position, Karina digs her face into her own knees and lets out a few heavy sobs. What is this place? Why is she living here? Karina couldn't explain herself.

After a few self-comforting breaths, Karina get up and walked towards the front door. The door was locked by a padlock, but again it was strange that Karina knew the password to the door. The password was the same as her house in Gangnam. Don't know what to come, she entered the house with her trembling steps.

So this is really her house.

Every step she took was a discovery and a mystery. The living room is filled with warm-colored furniture. The walls are empty, but the nails probably from the missing picture frame are still there stuck inside the concrete walls. Karina wonders what kind of picture she used to place there.

The beige color couch is covered with a white cloth and the actress wonders who covered it for her. All the furniture that was supposed to be in the house was still there, but since she didn't live there for a while, all of them were covered with dust. The house was pretty much empty to leave her some clue. Karina still doesn't know much about herself.

Moving to the bedroom. Again, the bed is covered with another white cloth. There's a woody brown dresser and an empty closet. Again, nothing much for Karina to look at despite the goosebumps that never left her body.

It feels familiar.

It feels warm.

It feels like home.

But Karina couldn't remember.

Despite the furniture still being there, Karina felt like it was really strange that the house was left without anything belonging to her. If Karina had her memory loss and didn't remember anything about this house where she was supposed to live that year, isn't it supposed that there were still her clothes, maybe books, and papers?

The house is too empty and Karina guessed someone might clean it up for her. But not knowing who this person is, and that person might be someone who knows about Karina having memory loss, and took care of her house for her, Karina couldn't help, but wonder who this person is and why that this person never meet her or mention anything to her about this house?

It's just strange.

An idea popped into Karina's mind. If this is her house, that 'someone' might not know Karina's usual habit to hide something in secret.

It's like a secret belongings hideout, and Karina never tells anyone about it. Even her parents, her friends, and even Winter.

Karina headed to the closet, and she pulled out the shelf from the closet one by one. It's all dusty and Karina let out a small cough because of it. When every shelf is off from the closet, Karina smiled happily when she saw that tiny box at the bottom part of the closet. That tiny part is usually hidden by the wooden shelf.

"I did live here, huh?", that is the first time Karina smiled since she arrived there.

She took that tiny box, excited to know more about her past. The smile on her face just got bigger when she pulled the box cover open. No wonder, and no doubt. This is really hers.

"Cute", Karina chuckled looking at the polaroid inside the box where she and Winter were hugging happily, smiling so brightly towards each other. Karina was wearing the blue-colored graduation cloak and Winter in her usual style of a navy bomber jacket. Winter holding a bouquet of flowers in her left hand.

But seconds later, Karina frowned, speechless.

"T-This... isn't from high school..."

Winter's hair is already short in the picture, not like the high school Winter who had long hair. The graduation cloak isn't the maroon-colored cloak that they wore at high school graduation.

"SNU...?", the actress became breathless when she saw the banner far at the back of their hugging figure.

It hits Karina realizing that the graduation picture is from Karina's college graduation. Her hands drop in an instant realizing that she actually met Winter after their high school graduation. Hell, she even had the memory flashback of Winter giving her a Swarovski.

Karina wants to cry.

She wants to meet Winter.

She wants an answer.

Not until suddenly when Karina wanted to get up, a great pain suddenly hit her head and Karina barely hold herself to stand up by lying on the walls. Her eyes are closed shut and she groans softly in reflex. That's when another flashback flashed in front of her eyes.

"Winter!", Karina shouted and ran with her arms wide open towards Winter. She finally sees Winter between the crowds and she was so happy that Winter was there to celebrate her graduation.

Winter smiled happily before Karina crashed herself into Winter's embrace. That warm embrace always makes Karina feel like home and safe.

"Am I late?", Winter asked and Karina shook her head aggressively between Winter's neck.

"Not at all~", Karina answered before she pulled her head away from Winter, but still hugging her tightly as ever, smiling happily towards the younger woman.

The camera flash from Yeji's polaroid succeeds to startled Karina and Winter. Karina turn her head to her friend with a deadly glare, and Yeji just laughed her heart out, proud that she can tease the couple.

"Can you just- don't disturb us, please!", Karina groan and Yeji groan back to Karina, the same amount as she did to her just now.

"You're impersonating me huh?"

"I hate seeing you guys together! I wanna puke! Uwerk! So disgusting!", Yeji said before she laughs her heart out again. She walked towards the couple and handed them the fresh polaroid she took just now.

"Take this, for memories!", the sharp-eyed girl said before starting to walk away from the scene. Winter just shakes her head as usual looking at the childishness between the two best friends. After that, her focus was brought back to Karina who was still inside her embrace.

"So, did you want to go somewhere after this?", Winter asked and the older woman nod her head, full of anticipation.

"Let's go eat something! Your treat!", Karina said before she attack Winter's lips for a peck. Winter widened her eyes in shock, looking at her girlfriend in disbelief.

"Heyyy that's not fair!"

Karina was running out of the house, shouting Yeonjun's name a few times before the bodyguard rushed his steps toward the actress in curiosity. That's where he could see that the actress was in such a messy, confused, and flustered state of mind.

"Yes, Miss Yu", he said.

"Tell me where is Winter!", Karina instructed, just to make the bodyguard more confused with the sudden instruction.

"B-But Miss Yu, Miss Kim instructed me not to--", Yeonjun couldn't finish his word when he saw a kitchen knife inside Karina's hand. The bodyguard was in his position for any possibility of the action to attack him.

"Tell me where is Winter Kim..."

Karina moved the knife to her own neck, and Yeonjun's eyes were wide in shock.

"Or I kill myself!", she shouted.

"Miss Yu! I beg you--"

"JUST TELL ME WHERE IS WINTER KIM!!"

It's such chaos when Yeonjun calls Winter to tell her about Karina. Worried about the actress's safety, and her own identity, Winter instructed Yeonjun to let Karina come to her apartment. A few minutes after the phone call, a loud bang on Winter's door, and Winter can predict it already even before the person who bangs her door shouting from the outside.

"WINTER! OPEN THE DOOR!"

Karina banged and shout in front of Winter's door a few times before the younger woman finally manage to open her door. That's when Winter can see how miserable the actress is right now.

Her eyes obviously red from the crying. Her expression shows a mixture of confusion and anger. Her neck is slightly injured with a tiny blood line, and Winter guessed it was from the knife earlier.

"What are you doing right now? What happened, Rina?", Winter said as she wiped the small trace of blood on Karina's neck with her thumb. Her eyes looked deep into Karina's trembling eyes. Winter was worried sick looking at her like this.

"You lied to me!". Karina said, full of sadness until Winter feel like suffocating inside her lungs. The younger woman pulled Karina into her apartment, gently wrapping her hand on Karina's wrist before slowly leading Karina to sit on her bed.

"What lies?", Winter asked softly and Karina still looked at her with the same sad expression.

"You lied to me about not meeting me after high school graduation! You lied to me about the Swarovski! I saw you came on my college graduation!", the actress confessed and Winter was taken aback by the actress's statements.

She remembered more, yet Winter don't know how far did Karina remember. Still trying the best she could to avoid the topic, Winter deny everything.

"Rina, I don't know what you are-"

"Look at this!", Karina pulled out the picture from the college graduation day in front of Winter's face and Winter couldn't help but to fell in a great shock. She looks at the picture, then at Karina again.

"Where did you get this?"

"It doesn't matter where the hell did I get this picture from!"

The actress keeps crying and looking straight into Winter's eyes full of anger. When Winter opened her mouth to say something, and Karina can guess that the younger girl will deny what Karina has seen again, she pushed the younger woman, lying down on the bed.

Winter couldn't say anything because she was so shocked. Her brain ain't working like Karina had the power to shut off every ability Winter had. Karina was sitting on top of her, pinning her on the bed, still crying, and both her hands are on Winter's shoulder to avoid her from getting up.

"Winter....", Karina sobs.

"What are we?".

A drop of tears fell down from Karina's cheek and landed on Winter's face. Both of them still looked into each other's eyes, and Winter still had no power for an answer.

"Winter, tell me!"

"What actually are we?"
