Chapter 19: Travis gets Mail

And the well overdue dedication goes to....@IZEnderson! the correct answer was the Jericho Missile. Congrats!

Travis POV.

Travis and Connor shared a look. Together they shrugged. Henry was still waiting for answer, and the Residents of Storybrooke looked torn between confusion and horror. How would Henry react? What could they do?

"Mist?" Connor suggested.

"Will it work?"

"Probably not."

Travis stepped towards Henry and snapped his fingers. Henry frowned for a moment as if wondering what he was doing.

"What are you doing?!" Henry demanded stumbling back to the other side of the railing. Travis bit the inside of his lip. Then Henry's eyes gazed over.

Travis smiled. "You didn't see anything. You were upstairs when the doorbell rang and at the door was...-"

"-The mail man, delivering a package for us." Connor interjected.

"The mail man, delivering a package for-wait what?" Travis said looking at Connor distractedly. Connor crouching over a small cardboard box barely big enough to fit a baseball with an envelope attached. Connor picked it up and quickly shoved it into his pocket. He motioned for Travis to finish with the Mist.

"You didn't see anything. You were upstairs when doorbell rang and at the door was a mailman, who gave Connor and I a package, then left. You can go back to your room." Travis snapped again.

Henry looked around shaking his head. "What was I doing? Oh right." Then he jumped up the stairs.

Travis let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. He turned back to the Adults who were also shaking their heads.

"How'd that mailman know you guys were here?" David asked.

"Mail man?" Connor asked.

"Yeah. You just got a package...that's Why the doorbell rang..." Emma said.

"You guys don't remember the whole kidnapped-kid-turning-into-crazy-demon-girl-and-trying-to-kill-us part?" Travis asked.

"What are you guys talking about?" Ruby asked. "Do you feel alright? There was definitely no demon at the door."

Connor leaned towards Travis. "Dude, you must have scrambled their memories too." He whispered. Travis nodded in agreement. Styx.

"Okay never mind." Travis said brightly. "Back to...whatever the Hades we were doing."

"Wait, where's the package?" Regina asked.

Connor pulled it out of his pocket. He glanced at the note in the top his eyes went wide and he threw back his head and laughed.

"What?" Travis said echoed by the Adults.

Connor held the box out to him and Travis peeled off the envelope.

Dear sons of the AWESOME God, Lord Hermes,

You're formally invited to the first ever monster paintball Olympics, hosted by Lord Hermes himself.

Travis grinned and opened the envelope. Inside were two tickets, a game schedule, and a concession stand menu and price paper. Travis found himself laughing hysterically with Connor. Travis wiped tears out of his eyes.

"What's so funny?"

"They look high."

"-Laughing curse? Regina!-"

"No!" Travis gasped. "It's....nothing...just a...note..."

"well mates, then it must be a bloody dam funny note."

Emma hit Hook, telling him not to curse with kids in the room. Connor and Travis on the other hand started laughing again.

"Dam French fries!"

"Dam snack bar!"

"Why are we laughing? We weren't even there!"

"Weren't even where?" Mary Margaret, Snow White, asked desperately. "It's like they talk in riddles."

Connor suddenly stopped laughing. "Oh no, you haven't heard us really talk in riddles.Even after the Apollo cabin cursed us, Travis was still trying to Rhyme Orange with a real word."

"Hey!" Travis said his face heating up a little. "At least I didn't attempt to actually prank the Hypnos cabin! We found your body about a foot into the cabin, asleep, sucking on your thumb!"

"What's all this talk about cabins?!" Ruby asked. "And will someone explain all this about Greek Mythology and Gods!"

Travis looked at Connor. "Not it!" He said a split second before Connor said. Connor grumbled.

They managed to get everyone settled down and back into the Study, Connor began explaining about the Greek myths and how they were real, including the stories from Percy's Adventures. Travis and Connor high fived when he told them about the Hermes cabin helping defend the empire State building (though it might have been exaggerated a bit) and Connor's voice cracked when he talked about Luke. Travis them explained about the Roman camp, Camp Jupiter, and the seven's quest. Including how Percabeth fell into Tartatrus and how They escaped. Then they took turns explaining how they defeated Gaea and sent her back to sleep.

When they were done they got a couple different reactions.

David left his mouth open.

Mary Margaret gave them both smothering hugs, that made Travis's face heat up again.

Emma looked like she was calculating something.

Regina looked the same as always.

Ruby had run out of the room when they had gotten to the point of Luke and hadn't even heard the rest.

"Well..." Hook, who's Travis found out real name was Killian, "I want some rum." He got up and left the room. A couple seconds later Travis heard the front door slam.

For once Travis didn't really know what to say. "After all that, he just says he wants some rum. What type of ship is he running?!"

"So what's in the box?" Emma asked.

Connor shrugged. He pulled the box from his coat pocket. Travis flipped him the dagger and Connor easily cut open the tape. They stood up crowding around the small box. Connor pulled out...

A Necklace.

"What the Hades-" Connor started peering at the small triangular pedant hanging off it. Travis tried to make out the letter but before he could, there was an explosion.

Travis slammed into the one of the book shelves that lined the wall causing half the books to fall on to him as he hit the ground. Stars filled his vision for a second.

When he looked up he saw Connor laying on the floor, half a book shelf on top of him. Emma was laying on the ground unconscious. The widow was broken and Travis struggled to remember that that was where Regina had been standing. David must have cracked his head on the window sill because he to wasn't moving, his sword laid a little bit away from him. And Mary Margaret was on the ground next to the toppled chair she had been sitting in.

But the thing Travis saw worse of all was the green woman with the black witches hat smiling wickedly at the mess she just made. In her hand was the necklace they had just pulled from the box.

"Mom?"

Travis's eyes widened as he silently prayed Henry would have enough sense not to come down those stairs. It didn't matter though. The woman got a evil glint in her eyes and she brushed out of the room heading for the stairs.

Travis struggled up, pushing the pile of books away. He ran to the door swiping David's sword off the ground. He had to pause for a moment when the world started to spin.

"Gods, this is not the time to have vision problems." He muttered to himself.

He saw the green woman at the top of the stairs.

"Hey Greenie!" He yelled at her. She whipped around, apparently not liking being called greenie. And wound back and threw a celestial bronze bomb at her.

She raised her hand and the bomb exploded mid air. Before Travis could move she strutted into on of the rooms.

Travis raced up the stairs nearly falling as the stairs blurred together. He pushed towards the door, where he could hear Henry yelling. He got to the door way to see Henry cornered and the woman reaching out for him. Henry's eyes darted to him pleadingly.

Without thinking Travis the the sword at the woman. She suddenly turned again, sneering and caught the sword. Travis watched in horror as the metal began to smoke and it melted as if her hand was made of acid. She glared at him and swatted her hand.

As if a giant invisible hand had hit him, Travis slammed into the blue painted walls. The green woman came closer holding her hand like she was using the force. Immediately something started to close around Travis's neck. He struggled to get the invisible rope off, making gasping noises. He stared at Henry trying to tell him to run. Black lined the edge of his vision.

Henry thankfully ran. At least if he died, Henry would be safe. The green woman hissed and threw her arm behind her before stalking after the child. Travis was flung across the room, straight through the small window the other side.

He was too disoriented to realize he was falling. Or that the ground was only meters away. Or that he was likely to die when he hit.

He did know one thing though. He knew that the green woman was the Wicked Witch of the West. And now she had both Henry and Frank and a necklace that didn't seem to have anything to do with everything.

Then everything went black.
