Chapter 7 scare

Third person POV.

The two teenage girls walk down the school hallways towards the lunchroom for their snacks, plus Damons. They decided to eat some snacks from the vending machine before starting the baking. As they work on getting the snacks, Damon is pulling out everything they would need to use and all the ingredients for whatever he picks for them to bake first.

As they walk towards the lunchroom Dove does her best to not limp as much as she could. She did good, but in her mind she thinks she could do better. So she starts to work harder on it. To her she can tell from the start it didn't really change anything with the limping. She still limed the same amount as before and she knew that. With the knowledge of knowing how much she is still limping her mood starts going farther down than it already was. She wanted to do better than that, but she couldn't.

Anna has acknowledged her friends' pained face expressions when she puts too much pain on… everything. She didn't ask how she was, she already knew how her friend felt and even if she did ask Dove if she was ok, all she would get is a ‘I’m fine’  or a ‘I’m all good, you don't need to ask if I’m good anymore...’. Yes she's worried for her friend, but right now wasn’t the time to ask or baby her. When the two get to her house that's when she will ask and try to baby her. Right now she can’t do anything about it. Later though.

“So tonight we should binge watch a series, what you think?” Anna asks.

Dove shrugs her shoulders, “We could binge watch the new seasons of Pretty Cure” she said shrugging her shoulders, “Haven't had the time to see it yet” she adds on.

Anna nods her head agreeing with this option, her being a fan of the show really made it easy and fast to agree to it.

Dove and Anna walk into the lunchroom, “Ok we will get Damon's stuff first” Dove said and Anna agrees with her.

Anna grabs the bill from her pocket and goes to the first vending machine she saw. It was the chips one. She placed the money in and then pressed the code, a few seconds later it started to work. The chips came falling down one by one. When Dove heard the money go into the change payment holder and the bills that spit back at her, she grabbed the money and gave half of the money to Anna and kept the other half so she can go get some of Damons stuff so it will go by faster.

Maybe a minute later they have Damon's stuff placed on a free lunch table with half of Anna's stuff.

Anna looks to Dove, “Ok I got everything I want and I also bought some other things for Damon. Luckily I brought my wallet with me. You want me to go and get a bag to help us bring all of this back to the room without dropping anything or having to come back for anything?” she asks. “Sure, I'll get my stuff as I wait for you to come back,” Dove said, nodding her head and not looking at her friend as she organized her friends' food in size and what kind of food or drink it was.

“Ok I'll be back!” Anna rushes off. Dove nods her head again and steps back as she grabs her wallet out of her back pocket as she stares at the food and drinks making sure it was all in order one more time. She nods her head when she thinks everything looks good to her liking and steps back and turns her attention to the stuff she wanted.

Dove walks to her first vending machine stretching her arms up in the sky carefully and yawning to herself. She drops her arms down and sighs.

She looks around herself quickly before she pulls her money out of her wallet and places the wallet  back into her back pocket. As she pushes it back there she hurts herself again causing her to gasp and tightens her eyes close, she in-hales sharply as she feels a sharp pain shoot through her right wrist. She groans quietly and shakes her head, she pushes through the pain and place most of her weight on her right side of her body as she places her bill into the machine and waits for a second before she goes to press the code in, but before she could the bill she placed in spits it right back at her. She groans and ‘plays’  with everything she has. It took a couple of times before it finally went through and she was finally able to put in the code for her first drink. Coca cola.

Second drink was water. She bends down and groans again. Bending hurts her. She grabs her two drinks and money and goes to the table with the rest of everything and places it in order right beside her friend's stuff.

When it was placed in its spot, she pulls her wallet back out and places the change in the change part and grabs another bill. She goes to the vending machine that has chips in it. Once again the money she had placed in the vending machine spits right back to her. She groans, “Why is it my money,” she whines out.

Damons and Anna's money worked perfectly for her, but when it came with hers it didn't work.

She grabs it and straights the bill again and puts it back in.

"Hey what are you doing!?"

Dove jumps back startled with someone speaking to her loudly and randomly. She looks over to the person who yelled at her as the bill she placed in a few seconds ago, spits back at her. Her eyes are wide as she looks at the person who walks closer to her, "Sorry, sorry I didn't mean to scare you" they said.

Dove nods her head and quickly grabs her bill before it falls out and down. She didn't want to bend for anything yet, if she was it would be for her chips, “It’s ok,” she said quietly to them.
