At 3pm the next day.

I stand infront of Larme holding a cake I made .

(I'm really not in a position to be picky, am I?)

(If I'm going to get a job as a pastry chef, I'm just going to have to ignore some stuff.)

Rose- " Hello..."

(Wow,the shop is so stylish! It's my dream to open a shop like this...)

Aki- " Hello, Ms. Kogami. Thank you for coming."

Rose- " Thank you for having me here on such a short notice, Mr. Fuyishima."

Aki- " Not at all. Momo filled me in on the details. We're happy to have have someone like you here."

Aki smiles at me.

Aki- " I look forward to working with you."

Rose- " Um, I heard that you would be giving me an interview..."

I tilt my head, looking at him confused.

Aki- " I think I know how good you are and Momo says you're good as well."

(Does he really like my cakes!?)

Aki- " Would you be able to start tomorrow?"

I smile.

Rose- " Yes! I look forward to working with you too!"

(Omg! Why did I yell that out!? Inside voice rose inside voice!)

Aki laughs.

Aki- " And by the way, please call me Aki. That's what everyone calls me."

Rose- " Um, are you sure that's ok..."

Aki- " Of course. There's no need to be so formal. After all,Im younger than you."

Rose- "R-Really? Ok,then I'll call you Aki."

(He's younger than me...while it's the truth,it doesn't feel so great to hear.)

(Ah,no. Now's not the time to be worrying about stuff like that.)

Aki tilts his head and looks at me.

Aki- " Um,can I call you Rose?"

I smile.

Rose- " Yes, of course..."

(Aki's elegant and seems like a really nice guy. Much different from Momoi.)

(If I think about how it's Aki's shop maybe I'll be able to enjoy working here.)

Rose- " Oh, I thought you might take a look at this during the interview."

Rose- " I brought a cake design with me,so if you're interested..."

Rose- " I often jot down cake designs in a notebook."

Rose- " This is one of them,so its just a copy,but..."

I hand him the copys and he looks at it.

Aki- " Wow,thank you. I'll make sure to take a look at this!"

(This is the first time I've ever let anyone see something from my magic notebook. I've been writing in since I was still an amateur.)

A young woman walks upto us.

???- " Aki, do we have a costumer?"

Aki- " Iku, I'll introduce you."

Aki- " This is Rose Kogami."

Aki- " She'll be joining us as our new pastry chef starting tomorrow."

Aki- " Rose, this is Ikumi Nozaki. She takes care of customers in our dining area."

Ikumi bows and smiles at me, while I did the same.

Ikumi- " Nice to meet you. It's going to be so nice to have another girl around!"

(She's seems nice.)

Rose- " Nice to meet you. Um... can I call you Iku?"

Ikumi- " Yeah! Together we'll bring a girls touch to Larme's."

Momoi pops out of a door and walks towards us.

Momoi- " I thought one of you isn't so much a girl as an old maid..."

Rose- " Momoi!"

Aki- " You can call him Momo. Seeing as you two will be working together from now on."

Rose- " So...I should call you Momo?"

Momoi crosses his arms.

Momoi- " I keep telling you all to quit calling me that!"

Rose- " Alright,then how about Momo-kins?"

Aki and Ikumi start laughing.

Momoi- " I'm gonna take back that job offer."

Aki- " I don't know, I like it!"

Ikumi- " I think it's cute!"

They said while laughing.

Momoi- " Quit joking around!"

Momoi- " Quit it with the funny nicknames, or I'm not going to work with her."

Aki- " Ok,ok. I'm that case...just call him Momoi for the time being."

Rose- " Momoi..."

Momoi- " Hmph..."

(He looks annoyed! I definitely have to call him Momo-kins and Momo sometimes!)

Momoi- " Anyway, did you bring the cake?"

Rose- " All I had to work with was what was around my apartment,so I was only able to makes something simple,but..."

I hand a strawberry shortcake to Momoi.

(I worked really hard on the flavor. I can't have him making fun of my skills as a pastry chef, too.)

He takes a piece and eats it.

Momoi- " Hmmm...its passable. But not good enough to call you a sous chef."

Momoi- " This is about what you'd expect from someone who's just finished their apprenticeship."

Rose- " Passable!? Someone who's just finished their apprenticeship...!?"

(Momoi's the head chef,so I understand if I'd be the second in command. But how could he say I'm like someone just out of their apprenticeship!!)

Rose- " H-Hold on just a second."

Rose- " Don't judge me until you've tasted the sponge cake portion too..."

Momoi- " I'm already going easy on you out of consideration for the ingredients you had to work with."

Ikumi- " Can I try some too?"

I hand her the cake.She tastes it immediately.

Ikumi- " Mmm...Its delicious!

Aki- " Me too!"

Momoi leaves.

Ikumi passes some of the cake to Aki.

Aki- " Oh,it has a nice refined flavor.Its impressive you were able make this at home."

(I guess there the only ones who know about good cake.)

Momoi returns with all of the shops cake.

Momoi- " Of course it's good."

Momoi- " But you can't be called a pro until you can go beyond that,right?"

Momoi- " Here. Try these."

I try a small slice of all of the shops cakes.

Rose- " They're all delicious... it's true,the cake I brought doesn't even compare..."

Momoi- " You have a good sense for flavor,dont you ma'am. In any event, if you have acess to the right ingredients, your cakes will good enough too. That's why I recruited you."

(Momoi's confidence isn't all talk. He might be better at baking cakes than I am...)

Momoi- " Also, here."

Momoi holds out a small cake.

Rose- " Are we going to sample the whole thing?"

Momoi- " Yesterday was your birthday, wasn't it?"

Rose- " Oh..."

( Why did he went in the trouble of making me a cake?)

(Huh? He's kinda a jerk but maybe he's not so bad.)

Rose- " Thank you..."

Momoi cuts me off.

Momoi- " Are you so desperate that you'd go to a singles event? Well, you are 34, I guess."

Rose- " L-Look I didn't know!!"

Aki- " Momo you're being rude!"

Ikumi- " Are you 34, Rose? You don't look it! You look young!"

Rose- " Hahaha, thanks."

(Aki and Iku are nice but momoi is such a UGH!!)

I look at Momoi, standing there and smiling as if he's the king of the shop.

(It's going to be rough working with him.)

Rose- " Since your so concerned about other people's age, how old are you?"

Momoi- " 25."

Rose- " !"

(25...my younger brothers turned 26 this year so, he's even younger than they are!)

Momoi- " Looking forward to working with you,Ms. Kogami."

By reflex I take his outstretched hand and shake it, while smiling.

Rose- " The feeling is mutual."

Aki and Iku hug us.

Ikumi- " Group hug!"

We all laughed while Momoi tried to get out of there.

Momoi- "Don't hug me!!"

We then all separated.

Rose- " Well who wants some cake?"

Aki- " Why are you going to share your cake?

Rose- " I want to share, I can't eat all of this alone."

(I can totally just eat the whole thing but I should be nice.)

Ikumi- " Your so nice."

Momoi smirks.

Momoi- " I don't understand why though if you already broke your diet."

I glare at him.

We all sit together at a table and eat cake together.

After that I left home.
