Blushing Dates and Aroused Boys
It's been a few months since Burnie took me under his wing and let me stay at his home. I never had the chance to search through the internet for any flats or homes. Today was a Saturday which means I had the day off. I grabbed my laptop, sat on the comfy couch with a wool blanket covering me, and hopped onto some sites in search of homes. I grew so close to Burnie that I didn't want to leave, but I knew that sometime I would have to find my own place.
"Janie! Where's the body wash?" yelled Bree. She was gong to take her shower before her movie date with Ray. Just a few days after the guys and Bree found Gavin and I, Ray finally plucked up the courage to ask my best friend out. Of course, Bree said yes.
"It's in the second cupboard in the hallway!" I yelled back to her. Gavin and I hadn't been the same since that "intimate" moment in front of the Roosterteeth building. We started to kiss each other before we went inside the AH office and glanced at each other more often during Let's Plays. I was still avoiding the idea of being in a relationship. Ray called it "Friends with Benefits" while Michael decided on "Brits with Benefits." Gavin and I would just roll our eyes at them, going back to our work. I don't know how we could be anything with benefits when we haven't...done anything.
I scrolled through the lists of flats for rent and also some nice, small homes that were selling with a cheap price. It was boring to be honest. I never thought I would be bored in over a minute. I sighed and closed my laptop, slipping it back into its orange cover. I'll look for some tomorrow. Burnie and Ashley were out on a date and Bree was soon about to leave for one. I was going to be alone for the rest of the night, either playing games or watching Sci-Fi movies.
I heard the shower finally turn on and soon Bree was singing Coldplay songs. I groaned while I heard her singing become worse and worse. I held a couch pillow over my head.
My mobile gave off a buzz, making me throw the pillow onto the other side of the couch. I grabbed my phone that was on the coffee table and saw it was a text from Lindsay.
Hey Jay! Michael, Gavin, and I are going out for drinks! U in?
I immediately replied back, not waiting a second longer.
Yeah! Where's it at?
It took her a second to reply.
We can pick you up! We'll come by around 7, ok?
I replied saying it was fine with me and checked the clock on my mobile. It was only 6:00, so I had about an hour to prepare myself. Lindsay didn't say where we were going, but I decided to just go casual, but girly as well. I ran to my room and sifted through the neatly stacked clothes in my room. I pulled out a frilly, blue tank top and a pair of dark grey skinny jeans. I quickly pulled on my clothes and rushed inside the bathroom.
"Excuse me!" Bree popped her head around the shower curtain to see me, while I was rummaging through my makeup bag.
"I'm going out with Lindsay, Michael, and Gavin. I'm just getting ready, love." I said. She sighed and went back to her shower, singing "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran. "Please stop singing! It's making me want to put my head in boiling water and burn off my ears." Her high laugh made me smile.
I applied just a little concealer and eye liner. I pressed my powder makeup against the fading cut in my cheek from Will's ring. It was still visible, but it was also dying away. I added some mascara, carefully. I left my pink hair down in its curly splendor and added a dark blue ribbon to the light pink mass. I smiled at my appearance in the mirror.
I left Bree to change into her dress and went to the kitchen, grabbing a packet of biscuits that were in the pantry. I munched on them until I heard a knock come from the door. I put away the delicious snack and walked to the front door. I opened the door to find Ray standing there in a regular black shirt and a pair of jeans.
"Hey Jay." He smiled.
"Hey Ray. Bree's still getting ready, but she'll be out soon." I stand aside and let him in.
"You going somewhere?" He asked, eyeing my apparel.
"Yeah. Going for some drinks with Gavin, Michael, and Lindsay." I shrugged and sat on the couch. He followed me, sitting down next to me.
"So, I have to ask. What movies does Bree like? She never told me and I was thinking about taking her to dinner afterwards, but I have no idea what she's into." He looked a little worried, but I smiled at him.
"Awww little Ray doesn't know what to do." I poked his shoulder and he smiled nervously. "Well, Brownman, she loves action movies the most and she also likes horror ones. I'd probably go with horror so she can cuddle with you in the cinema," He chuckled. "And as for dinner, she likes Chinese food." I shrugged. He nodded and said he knew a Chinese restaraunt not too far from the cinema.
"Hey, Janie, who was at the-" Bree said, but stopped once she saw Ray. Ray turned and I saw his eyes lightening. Bree was wearing her hair up in a braided bun and had wispy strands curving around her heart shaped face. She wore tiny pearl earings with a matching necklace. Her dress for the evening was a baby pink short length gown that had intricate flower designs on the bodice. Her shoes were flats and a shade of charcoal black. I watched as Ray stood up and walked over to her, kissing her cheek and making Bree blush.
"You look beautiful," he said and that made Bree blush even more.
"T-Thank you, Ray." She looked down. Ray grabbed her hand, helping her to the door.
"Have fun, kids and Ray remember not to penetrate her in front of the cinema. It's not a private or intimate place." I smirked and watched them both blush, remembering when Ray said that during Gavin and mine's "intimate" moment. They quickly left. I chuckled to myself. That's what you get for saying that, Ray.
While I waited for my party to arrive, I watched the first episode of Game of Thrones. I loved it so much that I have rewatched everything over ten times. I've read all of the available books and couldn't wait fir the next two. A car horn honked outside the house, signaling me to move my butt. I turned off the television, grabbed my mobile and wallet ( I never carried a purse), and headed outside. Michael and Lindsay's car was stationed outside, waiting for me. I climbed into the backseat with Lindsay. Gavin and Michael were in the front, with Michael driving.
I high fived Lindsay and Michael. Gavin greeted me with a warm smile and wink with his eye.
"God, just fucking kiss each other!" said Lindsay, making Michael laugh while driving us away from Burnie's house. Gavin and I blushed together.
"So, Ray and Bree are going out tonight?" asked Lindsay. She had her short, red hair down and she wore a black tank top and red jeans.
"Yeah, they left forty minutes before you guys arrived."
"What're they doing?"
"Probably banging." Michael said, replying to Lindsay.
"Shut up," I laughed. "They're going to the cinema and after, he's taking her to dinner. He actually asked me what movies she liked and her favourite type of food. He was so nervous." Lindsay and I giggled.
Michael pulled into a parking lot and stopped the car. We all hopped out. We were going to a large pub/night club that had music booming inside and echoing in the streets. Michael slung his arm around Lindsay's shoulder and they both walked to the club. Gavin smiled down at me, grabbing my hand and leading me to the entrance. His hand felt nice in mine like it belonged there. I smiled to myself and pulled away a stray pink curl from my face.
We only waited in line for fifteen minutes. The bouncer at the front checked our ids before letting us in. When the bouncer saw me, he smiled and gave me a wink, making Gavin's arm snake around my waist and glare at the man. I rolled my eyes and let Gavin drag me inside. Lights flashed different colours and people were dancing in a drunk fashion. We all headed to the bar first since that's what we came for. Michael asked what we all wanted and I replied with a Vodka RedBull. He laughed at my choice, but told the bartender anyway. Lindsay, Gavin and I went to go and find a table somewhere in the back. We found one surprisingly and we sat down, waiting for Michael to bring our drinks.
Gavin's hand had went back to mine once we entered the club. He was acting like I was his girlfriend. Maybe I am. We did kiss each other and hang on each other a lot now.
Apparently Lindsay was talking to me, but I didn't hear her.
"Jay?" Gavin said next to me. "Are you alright, love?"
"Yeah, just thinking." I smiled.
"About what?" I was about to say when Michael came over with our drinks. He handed me mine, calling me "M'lady", earning a snort from me and a "Thank you, my lord." We drank for a while and talked about upcoming conventions and even RTX in June. We also brought up the subject of Thanksgiving coming up in a week. I never celebrated this holiday since I'm from England and had no reason to, but talking about it made me excited for it.
"Hey, you guys wanna dance?" asked Lindsay. She looked at Michael, hopeful, but he shook his head and pointed to his drinks. Gavin said no as well, making her sigh. Lindsay then looked up at me, her smile big.
"Sure." I shrugged and walked with her to the dance floor. We laughed and danced with crazy moves until Lindsay got an idea.
"Let's get them aroused!" she yelled over the music. I laughed at her and asked her what she wanted me to do. Soon we were dancing on each other, not paying the boys any mind and pretending they didn't exist. Lindsay and I were both so drunk that we didn't care what others thought. We rubbed against each other and for one moment we looked over at Michael and Gavin to see them staring at us, mouths hanging open. That made Lindsay and I laugh even more.
The rest of the night was pretty spectacular. Gavin and Michael finally agreed to dance with us girls after our little "sex dance" as Gavin called it. We drank more, becoming even more intoxicated until it became hard for me to stand. Gavin noticed this and even though he was heavily drunk as well, he grabbed my waist and led me outside for some fresh air. He leaned me against the club wall.
"My head hurts." I said, putting my hands to my forehead.
"I'll call you a cab. You need to rest."
"Says the guy who's equally as plastered as me." I giggled and moved forward, clinging onto him. My head rested on his shoulder and my hands were holding onto his arms. He put his hand on my back while calling a cab for me. Once the call ended, Gavin held me in his arms, making sure I didn't fall over.
"The cab will be here in less than ten minutes. I'll text Michael and Lindsay you're going." He said, opening up his text app and typing two quick texts to them.
"Don't leave me." I said in a drunk, whiny tone.
"I'm not leaving until the cab comes, but I have to stay and make sure Lindsay and Michael get a cab as well."
"But you need one too. There's one coming for me, so you should just hop right on in, silly." I was slurring my words and leaning more against him.
"Well, I'm sure Michael and Lindsay will be fine. Okay, I'll go with you." I smiled and kissed his cheek. We stood in each others arms until the cab finally arrived. Gavin helped me into the cab and sat down next to me, texting Lindsay and Michael about the cab and to also make sure to grab my wallet and mobile from the table. I looked out the window as the cab drove off. The ride made me start feeling really sleepy and I soon rested my head on Gavin's shoulder, falling asleep just like that.
Gavin's POV
The cab driver pulled over at Burnie's house with a slow stop. I paid him the money and realized Jane was asleep. I smiled to myself and pulled her to me carefully, making sure she didn't wake up. I put a hand underneath her legs and back, bringing her out of the cab and towards the house. I heard the cab driver pull away into the night. The front door was locked and I didn't have a key. I panicked a little until I remembered that Jane had hers clipped onto her belt loop. I unhooked it and slowly unlocked the front door; Jane still in my arms. Nobody was inside which meant Burnie was sleeping over at Ashley's and Bree was probably going to be at Ray's. I looked through the rooms until I found hers.
I moved towards her bed and laid her gently on it. I didn't feel I had the right to undress her and put her into more comfortable clothing so instead I moved the blanket over her, kissed her forehead, and moved to the door. Before I could, Jane's hand grabbed my wrist, making me look down at her.
Her eyes were still closed, but she was half asleep.
"Stay." she mumbled, her thumb moved over the back of my hand back and forth.
"I don't know-"
"Please. Stay." She let go of my wrist and folded her hand underneath her chin. I smiled and laid next to her on the other side, realising I have no choice but to obey. I took off my shoes and got under the covers with her. I didn't dare take off my jeans just in case Burnie found us and wanted to know why I was in my boxers next to her. Jane turned around to face me, her eyes still shut. She moved closer to me, cuddling her head in the crook of my neck. I sighed and wrapped a protective arm around her body. We fell asleep like that: my arms around her and her in my arms.
