Vanessa's POV

What the hell? Did Jaeden really think I had a thing with Nathan?
I sighed and looked back at Nathan as Jaeden ran off.

"Who was that?" Nathan asked raising his eyebrow.

"My boyfriend." I breathed out and shook my head.

"O-oh, you never mentioned you had a boyfriend." Nathan separated from me.

"It's an on and off thing, I guess." I say instantly regretting my words. I didn't mean it to sound like it wasn't going to last but with the lack of communication we give each other...

"I think you deserve someone who can give you a proper, healthy relationship." Nathan stood up.

"Trust me, we care so much for each other." I sighed.

"Open your eyes." He scoffed and went back to his seat.

What the hell got into him?

I looked at my computer screen, smiling at the collage I have of me and Jaeden. October 30th was our 3 month anniversary and I was planning on surprising him tomorrow at the performance here.

I can walk again! My doctor talked to me and he said I was healing quickly, I took care of myself very well and put in lots of strength. Sure it's weird to walk since I haven't walked in like 4 months and I'll have to get used to it but I'm so grateful.

*DING*

That was the bell, signaling me to leave the school since tho was my last period of the day.
I rolled out the school and tried to go faster to catch the bus. The school and my house was a 40 minute ride but I can't complain.

"Jaeden!" I exclaimed as I entered my room.

I looked around, Jaeden nowhere in sight. I checked the bathroom and closet. No one.
Finally I opened the second room and saw Jaeden with a redhead. I don't even know her!

"You know, if you ever have any troubles just text me." She said softly.

"Excuse me?" I cleared my throat and looked sternly at them.

Jaeden glanced at me and smirked.

"Oh why hello there Vanessa, this is my close friend Sadie." He smirked and hugged her from behind.

She looked at him as her cheeks flushed and smiled, turned to me and introduced herself.

"I'm Sadie Sink." She greeted.

"Hello Sadie, can you-"

"Actually, I was just leaving. No trouble needed." She turned to Jaeden and kissed his cheek. "Bye Jaeden Library."

"God damn it Sadie, stop it with the name calling!" Jaeden chuckled. "You're such a bully."
He put his pouty face as she giggled and left the room.

"Exits, downstairs to your right!" I called out and crossed my arms. "We need to talk."

"What do you mean? What's there to talk about?" He looked innocently.

"You know what, never mind. I guess I'll have to cancel what my plans tomorrow." I whispered the last part and rolled away, leaving Jaeden clueless.

Jaeden's POV

I honestly don't know what Nessa said by plans. I laid on my bed trying to figure out what she meant but nothing seemed to pop into my head. And I don't know if i should go to the performance. I already bought the extra ticket so I might as well not waste my money.

October 30th.

I pulled up my pants and hopped out of the bathroom, fix in my hair in that process as well.

Today was also the day I wanted to go. Today was a Halloween bash for their school since Halloween was on a weekend.

I decided to go as the phantom of the opera. I wore a mask that covered half my face and made my way back to the bus stop.

Nessa's POV

For Halloween I was an angel, nobody expected that from me. If anything I'm more like a devil.

"Hey," Sophia greets me as I entered the building.
She helped push me through the hallways and into the elevator.

"Morning, what are you?" I rose my eyebrow at her outfit. Sophia was wearing a clown dress.

"I'm a clown, I couldn't find any face paint so I got the closest thing to a clown." She chuckled pointing out her dress.

"Improvisation, smart." I nodded as we make it to my chemistry class.

"So, are you preforming after 8th period since we have a shortened schedule?" Sophia asked.
Yikes, I'm not so sure I want to after the whole Jaeden situation which quite frankly, don't understand.

"I don't know, maybe." I murmured.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sophia asked, clearly concerned. She stopped walking and stood there waiting to my response.

"Nothing." I muttered.

"I swear Vanessa, I'm not playing. You're clearly upset, what happened?" She asked.

"It's just that, me and Jaeden got into an argument kind of. Well, we didn't really talk but we saw stuff..." I trailed off.

"What did you do.." Sophia said kind of getting the gist.

"Okay so Jaeden somehow snuck into school yesterday, and he saw me and this boy Nathan talking. I guess he thought wrongly because as soon as I came home that day, I saw him talking to this other girl. Sadie Sink, I regonize her from somewhere." I said. "He wanted to get even, so he got someone else and she was being flirty with him. Well... I think she was."

"Nessa, calm down. Sadie would never, she won't hurt a fly she's from stranger things." Sophia chuckled. "Give it some time, and COMMUNICATE."

I sighed and nodded, Sophia was right. She was always right.

2:30pm.
8th period finished early due to the assembly performance.

I was backstage helping the singers go on. But no one appeared, I saw this one boy backstage with a mask. He looked confused, I was about to go over to him and ask when a teacher jumped in front of me.

"Nessa! Thank god, the singers are having a little trouble with their costumes . They are currently in the bathroom, they won't be out. They need 10 minutes to get ready, could you sing for us meanwhile?" The teacher advised.

I didn't even get to answer because she pushed me out on the stage, the whole school stared me down.

Shit.

A wall was placed beside me and that boy was on the other side.
What the hell was this?

Everyone took out their phones and cameras, ready to record.

I was nervous, what do I sing? I mean, I haven't wrote any new songs in a while due to the amount of homework from my classes.

My thought got interrupted when soft music flowed through my ears, that boy started to sing.

ITS ME AGAIN, OKAY SO I'M WORKING ON A FINN WOLFHARD FANFIC AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GUYS WANT TO SEE THAT?
I have way more books to publish, they're saved as drafts. I still have the werewolf one with Jaeden, Finn being a rebel and I don't know if I should publish it or not, let me know.
