#2 Nightmares

Jennie spent the night over Joon's house.

*She looked behind her and saw a group of soldiers chasing her the the guy who was with her in her previous dream but still can't see his appearance, they felt a harsh push making them both fall onto the ground. The group of soldiers blind folded them with a cloth over their heads only seeing  darkness around them until one soldier takes off the cloth and looked around her, she was holding onto the guy's hand, she started sniffing in agony seeing other group of people making a choice which is either life or death...*

ALARM CLOCK RINGS LOUDLY MAKING HER JUMP UP.

Jennie was barely breathing with a lot of sweat all over her body. Joon then rushed in the guest room.

"Noona are you okay?" He asked her worried.

"Yes I think so". she replied.

"I heard you screaming so I came to see if you're okay". he said.

"It okay I'm fine". she replied as she was massaging her chest where her heart is located because it was beating really fast.

"OMG you're sweating". he said as he took a towel and wiped it from her forehead.

"We got to hurry or we will be late for school". she replied with a force smile.

"Of course but are you sure you want to go to school?" he asked all concerned.

"Yeah I'll be fine, stop worrying will you". she giggled as she threw a pillow at Joon.

"Yah noona I have to worry because we're friends". he whined like a little kid.

"Okay okay I get it, you care about me too much". she replied as she pinched his cheek playfully.

Jennie got up headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower and had some spare school uniform in the spare room. After she finished getting dressed she went to the dining room and sat next to Joon to eat breakfast, as they both finished their meals and washed the dishes before leaving she and Joon went to the house next door which is her house. Her family all looked at her as she quietly went to her room to take her some of her spare clothes for P.E & swimming lessons. Mrs Thomson stops Jennie.

"Jennie we neet to talk". said Mrs Thomson.

"Mum I honestly don't have time right now". Jennie replied as she looked at the clock on the wall.

"Sweetie this is really urgent". Mrs Thomson said gently.

"If it's about the Bible again I don't want to hear it". Jennie rolled her eyes.

"Honey we're living in a dangerous times". Mrs Thomson said all worried.

"Mum I really need to go now but we'll talk about this later". Jennie replied as she kissed her mother's forehead.

Jennie then left the house and headed to school with Joon. At school Joon always sits next to Jennie in all of their lessons and after school they walk home together.

"Apparently my parents want to talk to me about something urgent". Jennie spoke up.

"Oh really, can I come too?" Joon asked her.

"Sure why not". she smiled.

As soon as they arrived at the house the Thomson family and the Jeon family were gathered in the living room waiting for them.

"Hey everyone?" Jennie greeted all confused.

"Oh thank the Lord you 2 are here". Mrs Jeon suddenly said.

"Have you seen the news?" Mrs Thomson asked the 2.

"No why? Is something wrong?" Joon asked.

"The signs are already showing that the Lord Jesus Christ will be returning for his church". Mr Jeon replied.

"Kids you really need to right with God before it's too late". said Mrs Thomson.

"The world will be suffering for 7 years after the rapture takes place". said Mr Thomson.

"Please enough with scaring us with this". Jennie rolled her eyes.

"Son do you believe in God?" Mr Jeon asked.

"No father I don't believe". Joon replied.

"Oh son only if you knew what is about to happen after the rapture takes place". Mr Jeon replied as he sighed.

Jennie and Joon looked at each in confusion as the 2 families sighed.

"Please just accept the Jesus Christ before it's too late". Mrs Thomson said with teary eyes.

"Mum I'm not ready". Jennie replied while looking at the ground.

"I'm not begging you but I'm asking you". Mrs Thomson replied.

"I'm sorry but I can't". she replied back.

"Jennie don't you see what's on the world right now". Mr Thomson said with tears escaping from his eyes.

"And what does the world got to do with Jesus?" Jennie scoffed.

"Everything... All of the bad things that is happening right now were all predicted in the Bible". said Mrs Jeon calmly.

"And what if what is yet to come is a false alarm?" Joon asked them.

"This time I can that the messiah's return is getting closer". Mr Jeon replied.

"And what about all those people who kept on getting his return all wrong? Now answer me that". Jennie

"No one knows the day or the time when he returns". Mr Jeon replied.

"So this is basically some guessing game for us all to play then". Joon sarcastically.

"No it isn't..." Mrs Jeon replied but was cut off by Joon.

"This is just getting too much for us". Joon deeply sighed.

"I literally had enough not only you force to go to church everyday but you expect me to believe in someone who died on a cross and apparently ressurected 3 days after". Jennie laughed bitterly.

"Jennie dear please he is alive". Mrs Thomson tried to hug her daughter.

"They all fairy tales mum! They're not real they were never real!" Jennie yelled.

Jennie then stormed out of the house angrily.

"Son please go to Jennie and calm her down please". said Mr Jeon.

"Yes father". Joon replied obediently.

Joon left the house to search for Jennie... he found her sitting on a bench in a park that is 10 minutes away from home.

"Hey are you okay?" he asked her.

"Yeah I guess". she replied all gloomy.

Joon then ruffled her hair.

"Cheer up noona". he with his bunny smile.

"Ugh fine". she replied.

"C'mon you should be happy that we're travelling to Korea". he pouted.

"I know that knuckle head". she said as she flicked him on the forehead.

"Ouch that hurts". he massaged his forehead.

"You're such a baby". she giggled.

"Yah! I am not a baby!" he whined.

"Some things just never seem to change... Fetus". she teased him as she pinched his cheek real hard earning a yelp from him.

"Noona! You're such a meanie >.< and I am not a fetus". he whined.

"Whatever fetus". she poked his cheek.

"That's it! You!" Joon pointed his finger at Jennie making her run.

"Catch me if you can". Jennie replied as she tuck her tongue out him playfully.

"Come back here you!" he said as he chased her around the park.

He finally caught up with her and grabbed her waist.

"Got you!" he swinged her little body around like a child as Jennie giggled like a child.

They continued to play in the park for a good 2 hours and they sat on the bench again to catch their breaths.

"Jeez I'm so tired". said Joon.

"Yeah me too". Jennie replied as she fanned herself.

"So are you ready to go to Korea?" Joon asked her.

"Yeah I'm ready all right". she smiled.

"Aren't you nervous that it will be a completely different culture?" he asked her.

"No why?" she replied as she rose a brow at him.

"I mean there will be no English subs for any TV programs". said Joon.

"Listen you. We've known each other since we were toddlers and your mum spoke to us nothing but in Korean". Jennie playfully hit his shoulder.

"Fine but all of the writing will be in Hangul". he tried to protest.

"I know how to read and write in Hangul... are you trying to make fun of me?" she rose a brow.

"No..." he hesitated.

"No what?" she squinted her eyes at him.

"No... Um... You... Never... Have... A... English... Boyfriend..." he stuttered nervously as he gulped his saliva.

"And who said that I will date a English boyfried huh?" she punched him lightly on the shoulder playfully.

"Oh okay I think we should head back home because it's getting late". said Joon.

The 2 teens returned home in a better mood and said their goodbyes.

"Hey family". she greeted as she smiled.

"Oh hello dear". Mrs Thomson greeted her daughter with a kiss on her forehead.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you mum". she apologised.

"It's okay dear I forgive you". she replied as she hugged Jennie.

"Looks like someone is very excited to go to Korea with a certain someone". Mr Thomson teased his daughter playfully.

"Daaaad, we're only friends". she pouted as she cheeks became a red.

"Sure only friends". he chuckled as she pinched his cheeks.

"When are you getting married sis?" her younger siblings asked in chorus.

"How should I know... I'm still a kid". she giggled at their innocence.

"Well should get you luggage ready so that when the day of travel comes you are ready". said Mrs Thomson.

"Yes mum". Jennie grinned like a child.

2 weeks had passed and it's the day of Jennie and Joon to travel to Korea.

"Are you feeling nervous?" Jennie asked Joon.

"Yeah... you?" he replied and asked her.

"A little bit". she sighed.

"Don't worry as long we're together everything will be just fine". said Joon as he held her hand.

"Thanks". she smiled at him until they were interrupted by a sound of someone clearing their throat making them to let go of the hand.

"Awww I'm sorry for interrupting you lovebirds but can help us with the luggages at least". said Jennie's older brother.

Joon got up and helped out with every single bag in the check-in section. Jennie was able to print out the boarding pass tickets for Joon and hers.

"That's all of them". said Jennie's older brother.

"Thanks... Jennie got the tickets?" Joon thanked him and asked Jennie.

"Got them here". she replied as she handed the 2 passports to Joon.

"May I see your boarding pass and passports please?" the lady asked politely.

"Here". Joon replied politely as he handed the lady the passports & boarding passes.

"Are these all yours?" the asked them.

"Yes". they both sang in chorus.

"Okay your will be at this time so make sure to look at the TV screen for the gate number". said the lady.

"Oh okay thank you so much miss". Jennie said cheefully.

The families hugged them tightly with some tears in their eyes.

"Be safe". said Mr & Mrs Jeon to their son.

"I will eomma, appa". Joon replied.

"Don't forget to give us a call once you arrive there". said Mr & Mrs Thomson at their daughter.

"I will mum & dad". Jennie replied as she wiped her mother's tears with a tissue.

"You better be safe you punk". said her older brother.

"I will". she replied with a giggle as she hugged her older brother.

"We're going to miss you sis". said her younger sister.

"I'm gonna miss you too". she replied to her little sister.

"Promise us that you'll marry my sister and invite the whole family to your wedding". Jennie's little brother hugged Joon.

Joon blushed at the statement making both parents laugh.

"Boi! Stop spouting nonsense". Jennie playfully pointed at the little boy.

After they hugged the family, they went through the imigration section, after a while they looked at the screen saw their gate number and went towards it, then it was time to get on the plane and the sat together.

"It's going to be a long flight so you better sleep now". said Joon.

"I'm scared to fall asleep". Jennie huffed.

"Eh? Scared of what?" he asked her all confused.

"I don't know but all I know I'm scared to be alone". she replied as she bit her lip.

"Don't worry I'm here". he replied as he held her hand.

"Whatever you do don't let me go". she leaned on his shoulder.

During the flight Jennie battled to stay awake but her tireness got the better of her and ended up dozing off.
