Olivia's POV:
Thankfully it doesn't take very long to carefully load Derek in the car but somehow Malia ended up being the one to drive us to Derek's place.
You'd think after she first started to learn how to drive, she'd be better at it but boy was I wrong.
Malia swerves the car at a turn and immediately Kira grabs onto the handle with a terrified expression. "Oh god, I forgot how much I hated driving with Malia."
"For your information, I'm not a bad driver." Malia scoffed and my eyes widened, seeing as she casually ran the red light. "That doesn't count."
"Running a red light definitely falls into that category of being a terrible driver."
"It was yellow when I passed the line."
"Normally I'd disagree but with Derek's blood getting all over my clothes," I mutter, switching hands so that I could put another rag against his neck since his head was on my lap. "I say step on it."
"How did you know we would be at the school?" Scott curiously asked. "Actually, how did the Nogitsune even escape?"
"Yeah, I thought Isaac was supposed to keep an eye on it." I add. "He put a ton of locks and everything!"
"Because of the damages Monroe's hunter army left on Cora's old pack in South America, she wanted someone to tag along with her to repair their village for a couple of months and he volunteered to go. The problem was that he didn't want to bring the Nogitsune fly with him and endanger a pack of werewolves so he wanted someone who already had their fair share of experience to look after it." Kira explained with a nervous smile as she gestured to herself. "Me. My parents already have enough bad memories with the Nogitsune and I didn't want to put them through that again."
"Good choice." Scott lightly chuckled and Kira offered a small smile.
"So how does Hikari and Liam fit into this?" I questioned.
"A while back, Liam told me about some girl he befriended who discovered that she's a part of the Kitsune line and had trouble controlling her abilities. Rather than sending her off to the Skinwalkers for a couple of years and since they deemed me worthy to look after other potential Kitsunes, I offered to train her as long as they helped me keep the triskelion container safe. I've been staying with them ever since."
"Clearly that didn't work." Malia snorted.
Kira winced. "Yeah...clearly. Some person in a hood easily took us down. Almost like they studied our moves beforehand." She muttered in discomfort. "I knew that as soon as the Nogitsune escaped, it would come here to get its revenge against all of us. God, it's all my fault."
"Hey," Scott leaned forward and placed his hand on her arm in comfort. "You did everything that you could. If you hadn't gone to Hikari and Liam, who knows if that person would've left you for dead? Don't blame yourself." The comment causes her to smile but Scott's eyes slightly widen before he quickly leans back in his spot. "Because you know--we all would've done the same. Right guys?"
"Of course." I reassure.
"Maybe. Probably would've told Isaac it's his problem and not mine." I sent a pointed look at Malia through the mirror but she shrugged. "Just saying."
"Eli!" Derek's eyes shoot open and he tries to lift his head from my lap but I force him down, keeping the rag pressed against his neck. "Eli."
"Derek, stop." I scold. "You're gonna bleed out the more you squirm."
"We're gonna find him." Scott reassured. "But we have to help you first."
"No. No, Eli." He rasped. "His ankle...he twisted it. He can't run."
"But he can heal."
"No, he won't." Derek slightly raised his voice but I shushed him with a glare.
"Eli can't heal," Malia added. "not like a werewolf, not yet."
"What the hell? What do you mean?" I worriedly ask. "You're telling me he's a werewolf that doesn't know how to heal?"
"At your job, you know how some people pass out when they see a needle?" Malia asked and I nodded. "Eli passes out when he sees his own fangs."
"He passes out?" Kira questioningly repeats.
"The fangs come out--"
"He's on the floor." Malia interrupts Derek with a sigh. "Claws too."
Oh god. I should've gone after them.
"Scott, you have to find him." Derek whispered but I pressed the rag against his neck again. "You have to find him before she does."
Malia finally pulls into Derek's driveway and they quickly scramble out of the car as Scott and I carefully help Derek step out of the vehicle.
Since she's technically stronger than me, Malia quickly takes over my spot as Kira rushes over to the front door and pulls it open.
"Easy. Here." Scott grunted as he and Malia moved past Argent, Melissa, and Deaton and guided Derek to the leather couch. "Easy. Easy."
The pair carefully placed him on the couch but I could see Derek struggling to fight to keep his eyes open. "You have to find Eli. Eli...you have to find Eli." He whispered.
Melissa crouches down to Derek's level as Deaton examines the wound. "Derek, you're gonna need to let Scott and the others take care of it, okay? Anyone that loses this much blood, human or werewolf, you're not gonna be any good to anyone else."
"We need a lighter." Deaton instructed, moving Derek's jacket a bit to the side to get a better look. "The healing process works faster with fire."
The sound of a click from a torch being lit causes us to turn, seeing as a figure previously in the dark makes themselves visible enough to see him dressed in a trenchcoat and lighting a cigar close to his lips. "I've been known to light a spark or two in my time." Peter casually spoke, moving the cigar away from his mouth with a smirk.
I roll my eyes in annoyance. Great.
Peter casually enters the living room with a chuckle, placing the cigar in the ashtray as he switches spots with Melissa and takes a step closer to Derek.
"Peter, no." Derek mutters but Peter doesn't hesitate to bring the blue flame against Derek's wound, causing the man to let out a pained scream.
I immediately turned away in disgust, not wanting to hurl at the sight of the burning wound until eventually, Derek's screams died down.
Seeing that all eyes were on him as flicked the torch off and placed it on the table, he let out a scoff. "Do I need to remind you people that he slashed my throat once and it killed me?"
"When it comes to you, most of us try to forget." Malia bluntly answered first.
"That is no way to speak to your father."
"Anyway to more important things," I speak up, sliding my bloodied sweater off and tossing it on the chair. "we're running out of time."
Scott nods in agreement, using the spare rag to wipe his hands. "We've got to catch up to Eli and Griffin."
"You mean before Allison does." Peter countered before he faked a gasp as his attention shifts to Argent. "Allison Argent, back from the dead, running around, shooting up werewolves like a good little hunter? You must be so proud."
Argent moves towards Peter but Melissa is quick enough to block his path. "Can we just lower the level of the testosterone in the room, fellas? Huh?"
"I don't know..." I cross my arms over my chest with a glare. "I'm willing to let my wife use Peter as target practice. Maybe even a cutting board."
"Not if she's got to your precious son first." Peter flashes his eyes towards me with a growl. "Still bitter about the past, sweetheart?"
"I'll show you bitter--
"Enough." Scott warned with a glare. "Derek said that they had a plan for when something like this happens."
"The auto shop. That's where they'll go." Peter explained, making his canines recede. "Emergency rendezvous point. How far behind was Allison?"
"Not far enough." I say, taking the keys from Malia's hands. "Scott, let's go."
"I'm coming with you." Kira added as Malia tried to follow behind but Scott immediately shook his head.
"No. You two need to find Lydia. Liam and Hikari are already looking for Stilinski and hopefully, Phoebe's with them, but honestly, if there's anyone who could figure this thing out, it's Lydia." He explained. "Find Lydia. We'll get Eli."
"Wait a second." Kira spoke up and pulled Scott to the side.
"I'll be outside." I say before I exit out the front door.
"Wait, Olivia!" I turn, stopping at the steps and meeting Argent's look of concern. "Olivia, if there's some small chance that it's her, that it's Allison..."
My heart aches at the name. "Argent..."
"I know our families lived here for a short amount of time but after everything we've faced, I want to believe our chances and I'm sure you do too. You never lost hope that she could come back."
I untuck the necklace of her wedding ring from my shirt. "Ever since I lost her, that hope dwindled over time...until tonight but I can't help but doubt the possibilities."
"It's okay to still have them. If it's really her, have her remember those precious moments you spent together. Make her remember who she was. I don't say it a lot but..." He emphasizes and pats my shoulder. "I have a lot of trust that you can do it, kid. You've always did what you can to keep her safe."
I nod but pull him into a hug. "Thanks, Argent."
"Bring her home."
We pull away from the embrace just as Scott comes outside as well with a nod. "Let's go."
Griffin's POV:
"We have to find the cops!" I yell due to the rain loudly pouring outside as I help Eli refill the car with gas from the Hale Autoshop. "Who knows how close the person that attacked us is from here? Oh my god, I can't believe Luka was right about this psychotic town."
"Calm down, we're not calling the cops." Eli grunted as he worriedly eyed the meter of how much the tank needed. "Trust me, they can't help."
"Seriously? Eli, it's their job!" I emphasize in disbelief. "We can't run forever. Especially with your ankle still messed up. You know what, I don't even know why I'm asking you. I'm calling the cops."
As I snatch his phone from his hand and start to dial, Eli quickly snatches it back from my hands and throws it into the backseat of the car.
"What the hell Eli!" I scold.
"Flores, trust me. You would just make things..." The scrape sounds of a tire cause us to turn and my eyes widen at the sight of a blue car speeding towards us. "worse."
I quickly tackled Eli hard enough to send us a safe distance away from the car just as it collided with ours. "Shit!"
"Hurry!" Eli urged, smacking my arm a few times as I helped him up from the floor and limp towards the front door to the auto shop.
"Come on, come on!" Eli pleaded, trying every key to unlock the door.
"Eli, I swear to god, break the glass!" I quickly glance behind us, catching a glimpse of a silhouette of a woman as she hopped out of her car with ease.
Lighting strikes the skies and for a moment, it lights up the entirety of our surroundings and enough to see the face of our attacker as she slid the quiver of her arrows over her shoulder.
But the sight alone made me freeze in recognition.
"Got it!" Eli sighed in relief and grabbed my wrist, yanking me inside the shop and slamming the door shut behind me just as an explosion of our cars erupted into flames.
We quickly ran towards the back of the garage where the other cars were in the middle of being fixed and pressed our backs against a red sedan.
It can't be her. It's impossible! I mean, I saw her face but it was only for a quick second...right?
Oh god, I'm totally losing it.
The sound of a metal scrape breaks me from my thoughts and Eli nudges for me to follow behind him again.
We duck down as we quietly walk around the vehicles but since I was a bit ahead to hide in front of a truck, the footsteps approach closer to Eli.
He quickly crawls on the car lift holding another pickup truck and lays against the side, away from the attacker's view.
Because of my position, I could only see the attacker's back but recognized it was a woman.
It can't be her.
She cautiously moves closer to the car lift and I quickly look around, seeing a loose screw on the floor. I pick it up the screw and throw it across the room and it clangs against the door which causes me to duck down once more.
I hear the footsteps move again from our positions but this time fade further away. Thank god.
I worriedly turned to Eli, watching as he quietly climbed down from the car lift and grabbed a wrench and a spanner from the toolbox.
He sneakily comes over to me and hands me the spanner. "Ready?" He mouthed and I nodded, despite my nerves practically overwhelming the thoughts.
He sprints ahead with a cry and I hear the clash of their weapons collide.
I'm so dead.
I jump out of my hiding spot in time to see the woman throw Eli against the car but I quickly move in front of him with a glare.
Before I could swing the spanner, the woman finally looked up to meet my eyes and instantly I froze again.
"Mom?"
She instantly swings her bow across my cheek which sends me to slam my back against the floor as I painfully clutch onto my face.
"Mom, stop it's me!" I yell out but she loads an arrow into her bow. "Mom!"
Before she could release, the garage door pulled open which caused us to turn meeting the frantic looks of my other mom and Scott's faces.
"Allison, stop!" Olivia yells out.
Allison points the arrow at her this time and releases it, but Scott is quick enough to backhand the arrow and graze it against the back of his hand instead.
Olivia grabs the tool cart and shoves it into Allison which causes her to stagger back with a grunt as Scott quickly pulls Eli and I out of there. "Come on!"
The four of us continue to sprint across the courtyard, hearing as more arrows whiz over our heads.
"This way!" Olivia shouted, pointing to the red car but instantly an arrow plunged into the tire which caused it to deflate. "Okay, not that way!"
She steers us to the other parking lot. "I know you don't remember everything," She shouts, glancing behind at Allison as follows behind us and reloads another arrow. "but if you stop trying to kill us for half a second, I could help you remember!"
Another arrow whizzes across and plunges close to Scott's head. "I don't think she's a talker at the moment!"
He and Olivia make us crouch behind a pickup truck. "All right! Hey! We're gonna have to run." Scott frantically instructs Eli.
"Um hello, his ankle is sprained!" I exclaim and turn to Olivia. "Mom, what the hell is even going on? Why is--"
"No time for questions. Eli, you have to heal!" Olivia instructed. "Preferably before we all get pierced with arrows."
"I can't! I can't heal. I can't transform. I can't do any of it!" He exclaimed.
"Well, you're gonna learn right now!"
"How?"
"Like this." To my surprise, Scott's eyes flash red and he lets out a monstrous roar which causes me to quickly cover my ears.
Even more surprising, Eli's eyes flash gold and the large cut on his cheek stitches back to normal as if it were untouched in the first place and he moves around his ankle with ease.
"What the..."
"Now run!" Olivia urged, dragging me by the arm as the four of us pushed through the torn-wired fence before we sprinted to the woods.
