"So, this is one of the tomb of the Kings?" Noctis asked his companion

"From what me and Cor knew. Since our training, they kept on telling us that the one who lays there is an unknown King of Insomnia. No name unscripted or when this was made" Gladiolus explained while leading the guys through the cave

"So, are there more information about this one?" Prompto asked

"Not really. Only a few. The other information are in the grave of all the previous ruler" Ignis answered

"But men, this is creepy. Can't you just put some torches here to add more for the feel" Prompto commented while looking at the cave

"We're here" Gladiolus said once they arrived at the tomb. He then looked at Noctis

"Well, this is different. No monsters tried to attack us"

"Not even one"

Noctis stood forward to the tomb and as it used to be, the sword showed and went to Noctis. Him feeling a strong power going through him

"So, you're the new soon-to-be King of Insomnia" they then prepared their weapons to be ready for the attack

"Oh please. As of you can attack me in my state" Noctis the felt someone tapping his shoulder. He then swung his sword but almost hit Prompto

"You better be careful if I were you" she then was behind Prompto, putting Noctis' sword down

"W-wait, y-you are..." all of a sudden, Gladiolus kneeled down

"There is no need for such formalities, Gladiolus Amicitia, please rise. Noctis' glaive if I presume. Well, it is what Regis told me" she said and sat down on the tomb

"Who are you?" Noctis asked

"She's the first ever Queen of Insomnia. There are no records about her King, same goes to this tomb. It's an honor to meet you, your majesty" Ignis answered and bowed

"As I have said, no need for formalities. Mostly, I didn't expect for people like you to know this place. People don't usually visited this place"

"We just thought that Noctis might need the power to defeat the Empire" Prompto said, feeling a bit nervous to be in royalty

"So the Empire is still at it again. Much stronger I presume and please, you don't need to be nervous around me. I am just a lone spirit"

"Hehe, well I am just a normal citizen friend's with a prince"

"But, a lone spirit? What are you talking about?" Noctis questioned, she giggled

"Well, my body and soul had lied here for many years. The King is nowhere to be known and found. I've been guarding that sword as well since then" she explained

"So, you know me, because of my father?"

"He told me about you here on the dead. He is very proud of you, Noctis. Same goes to your friends" she then looked at the three and looked back at Noctis

"I have a question" she then turned to Ignis

"If it is okay" she nodded

"Do you know who we really fighting against?" she looked down and released a sigh

"That... is something that I can't say. It is for you to find out on your own" she answered

"Will it destroy all humanity?"

"It might. And this is why Noctis, you're the only one who can help save everyone. All of the other Kings rely on you to this duty" she then walked closer to them and released a ball of light.

"I'll give you all some of my power. Who you are fighting against is stronger than you think or what you will expect" the ball of light then separated and went to the four, them feeling the surge of the energy

"We promise that we will do what we can to save them" Noctis said and bowed to her. She gave them a gentle smile and send them off to continue their journey

"So, this is where you were"

"I wasn't expecting for you to be here just after they left" she turned around and saw him leaning on the tomb

"A lone soul without her King, her Lover. Such a pity for someone as beautiful as you to be laid her a millennia"

"And here you are now. Still alive and never aged a bit. You're still after your revenge on the True King's Descendent and the Crystal"

"You don't understand! I have helped many people throughout the lands and yet, denounced by the Astrals as unclean. They chose the wrong person!'

"It is maybe because they know how you will use your powers. Ardyn, I've known you since before. I was always by your side. When I was by the throne, for me to hold barriers against you for the kingdom.... It underwhelms me to do so" he released a chuckle

"And I understand why you do so, it was your duty as the Queen of the throne. You are the only one who understood my situation" they then looked at each other, looking for an answer for the mayhem that will happen

"I did. Yet, maybe I should have forced myself to stop you from the very beginning, before all of it happened" he then stood in front of her, wanting to touch her once again, to feel her warmth... and yet, he cannot

"I know. It sucks. Whatever you do, it will just go pass me. It has been many years, I've been yearning for you. I wish everything was the same as before. The both of us together, no war or revenge. Just us, what we have always wanted before all of this chaos had happened" she really wanted to feel his touch once again, but her condition as a soul, as if that will.... Happen.

"It will be, soon" Ardyn then grabbed a hold of her head and placed it on his cheek. She then leaned her head on his chest to hear his steady heartbeat. They then enclosed their arms on each other, the feeling of never letting go.

"We will be together once again"

"Just come back.... Back to the way you were. We will see each other once from the dead"

"I will and promise you that, my Queen"
