A/N: This is a one-shot for Prompto. Sorry for any mistakes or its kind of rushed. I kind of lost some ideas what I was thinking  before. Hope you enjoy

Prompto was searching for someone, and that someone was his and Noctis' High School friend (well actually, an Elementary friend). She knows Prompto ever since Noctis noticed him gawking at him. She got a chance to know the Prince since her Mother was part of the Medical team, while her Father was part of the Glaive who protects the Crown City and a protector of the Lucis Family. And now, she gets to work with her Mother, but she's still a trainee.

Also, forgot to add that she and Prompto are already in a relationship that her father hasn't know yet. Her mother, well.... She knows about it since she has been doing some digging to those two every time they are together.

He finally found her, walking at the hallway while reading a book.

"Hey! (F/N)!" He called out that made his voice echo. She stopped walking, closed her book and looked behind her, seeing Prompto catching his breath

"Man, I'm out of shape" Prompto muttered

"How could you be out of shape? This is your way to get that body of your into that shape!" she exclaimed with a scowl on her face

"Well, I'm sort of not used to it anymore" he stood up straight and act like nothing happened... or something...

O-kay? So, do you need something?" she asked curiously. Since every time this scenario happens, he often needs something or just wanted to tell her something

"I just wanted to ask you, do you wanna join our trip? With me, Noct, Gladio and Iggy" he said a tad quickly and gave her a quirky smile

"Me, having a trip with grown men? Thanks, but no thanks. Things might get awkward with me joining. Besides, I think it's better for Noct to have some guy time with the three of you before the wedding with Lunafreya" she answered

"Awkward? Not really. Yet again... awww! I thought that the three of us can... you know... hang out together, just like before" he looked down and scratched the back of his head

"Maybe some other time" she turned around and was about to leave when Prompto stopped her

"We also need some..."

"Some medicines to bring for our journey. If that is okay?" Ignis finished

"I was about to say that!" Prompto pouted

"You're just slow in saying it" Ignis said and adjusted his glasses

"Well, that seems my only way to help you guys. Come on, let us head to the clinic"

At the clinic, Ignis was helping (F/N) in finding the medicines that they need throughout their journey. Gladiolus' way of helping is by reaching some of the items that they can't reach since it was on a higher place of the shelf. While Noctis and Prompto were chilling on the couch, waiting for them to finish and get finally start the drive.

"Gonna miss her?" Noctis asked

"Sure will. Even though we're only bringing you to Altissia. But we might not be sure what other things might happen" Prompto answered

"Hey, we will be back I in no time" Noctis patted his best friends back. They then heard footsteps getting closer to them

"So, are there any thing that you two need?" she asked

"I don't. But maybe he does" Noctis pointed out to Prompto. He then stood up and headed towards Ignis and Gladio. She then turned her attention towards her boyfriend

"Well, what do you need then?" she asked with a smirk. Prompto looked at her and has the same smirk

"Maybe a kiss then" she then crossed her arms

"Once my father hears that, you might be getting a beating from him" she said once Promtpo stood and walked in front of her

"He might not let me go then" the both of them released a chuckle. They then heard Ignis clearing his throat

"Time to go"

"Well, princes will be princes"

"So much for royal protocol"

"Not like you had to deliver a formal address" she was just listening to whatever they were saying while walking to the Regalia when they someone call for the prince. When they looked back, they saw Drautos with King Regis as well for her father.

"What now?" Noctis muttered, while she just kept on staring at her father who was rushing down the steps. Then Noctis headed to his father, she met up with hers

"You're not thinking about joining their journey, are you?" her father asked who was still walking down the steps and getting closer to his daughter

"Are you expecting me to join their trip with guys? No thanks" she answered

"You grew up as a tomboy, now you're a mature woman" he exclaimed

"And also, since Prompto will be with them, I thought you might want to accompany them" he added. She looked shock while staring at her father

"You knew?"

"Well you prove the point just now. Also, it was quite obvious actually" she released a huge sigh

"I think you're trying to embarrass me now"

"No! I am just worried for my little girl" that's what you get from a doting father.

"Now, go say your goodbye" he then patted his daughter's shoulder and motioned her to go to Prompto who was looking a bit nervous. She nodded and humbly headed to Prompto.

"He knows?" he quickly asked once she was standing beside him

"Yup"

"He won't beat me up, right?"

"I hope so. If he did, I won't be talking to him till forever" the both them released a sigh

"You better get back here alive, got it?" she muttered, but it still made him hear it clearly

"Is there something wrong?" he asked, she faced him and has the look of fear on her eyes

"It's just that... I feel that something bad might happen"

"Hey, nothing is going to happen. I'll be back as you know it" Prompto hugged her for comfort. He then pulled away and saw her looking away

"I want you to take this" she pulled out a chained bracelet and it has a pure white pendant. She then clasped it around his wrist

"It's like a good luck charm from me" she said

"I'll make sure not to lose it then" he pecked her forehead and quickly rushed to the Regalia, both of their faces turning red

Just after they left, the car broke down that made the three boys pushed the car to Hammerhead. There, they met Cindy, Cid's granddaughter. Just when Prompto first laid his eyes on her, he fell in love at first sight. Little did he know, that she knew...

A few days later, they heard the news of Insomia falls when the Empire attacked. During their drive heading back to Insomnia, Prompto saw the bracelet that was still around his wrist. The bracelet's pendant changed a color from its pure white to a dark purple. He was getting anxious about what happened her. When they met Iris at Lestallum

"Hey uhm, Iris... Do you know what happened to her? To (F/N)?" he asked

"I heard she's at Caem already. We just need to wait for her 'go' signal before we head there" Iris answered

"How about her parents?" Iris looked down

"They died during the attack" he then felt tears from his eyes and released a huge sigh. But his feelings for her... did it...?

The time he got captured by the Empire and brought to the Capital as he know about his origin, he was getting nervous for everyone... afraid as well. He then saw the pendant dangling from the bracelet change its color to a crystal blue.

With Noctis being inside the crystal and Ardyn has taken over, Daemons started taking the place as their own. Prompto was fighting Daemons with Ignis and Gladiolus to protect everyone. Suddenly, someone made a shot that went right pass him. He finally found her and it made him felt relieve

"Stop gawking and keep on killing, Prompto" Gladiolus hollered while protecting Prompto's back

"I was not gawking!"

After the fight, he quickly headed to her while she was readying her weapon for her to head out. He was staring at her, she was skinny than before, her hair short hair has gotten longer for a few months and he wasn't expecting her to wear an all-black outfit.

"Than camping out, you guys can just stay at my home for a while. It's just nearby" she said, not batting an eyelash at Prompto. She started walking away, heading to her humble home, carrying her weapon. Gladiolus and Ignis walked pass the stunned Prompto.

"Sorry for the mess. I haven't been here for a few days. Kept on defeating those damn Daemons myself" she said once they entered her house

"Since when did you have this home of yours?" Ignis asked as he sat down on the solo sofa

"This was my grandparent's house. They passed it down to my parents when they passed it down" she answered while heating up some water for their drinks

"I see that you're using your father's dagger and gun" Gladiolus commented as he saw the weapons laid on the table

"Well, he gave that to me before I escaped during the fall of Insomnia" she then turned to them

"Where's Noctis? I didn't see him since you know" she curiously asked

"He got stuck at some damn crystal. For who knows how long" Gladiolus answered

"But all that we could know that it might be a plot of Ardyn's" Ignis commented

"Ardyn? The Empire's Chancellor?"

"How'd you know?" Prompto asked meekly

"Saw him once when he wanted to talk to King Regis. First time I saw him, I suddenly felt that scary vibe from him" she said and poured the hot water for their coffee

"You got that right, he was a daemon. Thanks" Gladiolus said and mixed the coffee powder with the hot water

"Well, didn't expect that" she then gently handed the cup to Ignis and stirred it for him. She then handed Prompto's drink, which was tea.

"You don't like bitter coffee, remember? I don't have any sugar or milk" she said and Prompto released a chuckle

"You still remember" Prompto then took the cup from her hands

"Well of course. I'm your friend, right?" Prompto stopped taking a sip. Same goes to Gladiolus and Ignis

"Uh, (F/N)?"

"Well, I need to take some rest. I haven't been sleeping for a week know. There are other rooms here at the first floor, you can also use the showers, and there are some extra towels as well. Good night guys" she then headed upstairs to where her room was

"Prompto! What did you do?!"

"I don't know myself!"

"Seriously, Prompto?!"

The next day, (F/N) headed to cook some breakfast for the guys. While preparing the ingredients, she head a door closed.

"I am not letting you help at my kitchen, Prompto" she said

"Is it okay to help you a little bit?" he asked

"You can help by putting everything in place at the table later then. Also, you can wake the both of them up" Prompto then sat down on the chair, watching her cook

"Did I do something?" he suddenly asked

'What do you mean?" she said, still looking at her work

"About last night. You said I was your friend"

"We are"

"But we were more than that!" she stopped chopping. She then raised her left wrist and she was wearing the same bracelet she gave to Prompto before they left

"The original color of the pendant is white. Blue sometimes signifies normal, calm, peaceful. Yellow, cool, anxious, distracted. Orange, anxious, stressed, confused. Red, anger, mixed emotions, conflicted. Pink... love. The violet, might signify of someone in trouble, if it was turning black... it might mean that the person was at the brink of death" she explained. Prompto's eyes turned wide, he suddenly stood up from where he was seated, knocking down the chair

"At the brink of death?! You almost got killed?!" she then turned to him

"And you fell in love?"

"Wha-?" she sighed

"You don't have to deny it. Iris told me that you have a crush on Cindy"

"N-no I don't" she then showed him her bracelet and the pendant changed color to orange and red

"You're getting nervous and having mixed emotions. It always stayed red and pink"

"That's not the point here! The point is that you almost died!"

"So, our relationship is pointless then?! Yeah, I almost died! I almost died because of what happened to the Empire, they almost got me but my parents protected me! I'm not the same as I was during that day because I saw the color changed. You fell in love, Prompt. I thought that I won't survive. My parents are gone, didn't know what I'm going to do. I was thinking of letting myself to die, but I didn't. Since I don't want their deaths to be in vain. I've trained day and night to get stronger, I improved my skill what my father thought me. It pains me to see this charms to be forever in that color! I don't even know why I didn't throw this away!" she exclaimed, letting all of her emotions out. She clenched her hand to a fist and walked pass the shocked Prompto.

"I'm taking some fresh air" she said and went out of the door with her weapons

"I knew that I shouldn't accept your relationship with (F/N)" Gladiolus said once he went out of his room. Prompto now sitting at the sofa, staring at the bracelet

"Knowing that you won't be serious in your relationship with her"

"I was serious!"

"Oh yeah? Then what happened? You had a crush with Cindy. Sure you are worried for (F/N), but your feelings changed for her"

"You better say something to her or you're going to regret it. You're going to face me as well"

"I've decided to head to Solheim" she said to Gladiolus who was watching her pack

"Why?" he asked while leaning at the door frame, arms crossed

"Well, some people might need my help in defeating those daemons. There are other people who are heading there as well, Cor also"

"Other reasons?" she stopped moving

"You can't just escape Prompto by going to Solheim"

"I know that! I just don't know what to say. It seems the same for him anyway" she then turned to him, her bag on her shoulder

"You really sure about this?"

"You decided to act as my Uncle now?!" he chuckled

"You better come back here safe"

"Sure thing, Uncle Glad"

Prompto was walking back and forth in front of her room. Choosing his words on what to say to her.

"Why is this so hard?!" he muttered

"You still have time" he then saw Gladiolus

"What are you talking about?"

"She left to Solheim just when she went back here just to pack and left quickly. The house is under our care till when she comes back" Gladiolus explained to the confused Prompto

"But why?" Gladiolus shrugged

"She didn't say. I just gave her my approval, knowing her she can kick some of those daemons ass"

"You let her?!"

"It's her decision. And she's a grown woman for her to decide. She also left this" Gladiolus then tossed the item to Prompto who almost didn't catch it. Prompto looked to his hands, her bracelet that the pendant turned to pure white

10 years later...

"Are you sure this is the right time for you to call me?" she asked while hearing her Uncle grunting on the other line

"This is not what you think it is!"

"Hey! I'm not that perverted. I'm still the same sweet and innocent niece"

"Sure you are!" she then heard another grunt

"I also need to tell you something"

"What?"

"His back" she then turned the wheel, making a U-turn

"Be careful on your driving!" he scolded when he heard the tires make a screech sound

"I need to be there at Hammerhead quickly. See you guys there"

"Your late" she said once she saw the guys arrive at Hammerhead

"Your just fast, going way over the speeding limit" Gladiolus said and ruffled her hair. She then spotted Prompto who has changed for ten years. She then gazed away and stared at his Uncle from head to toe

"Damn, you're old" she commented and looked at Ignis

"And somehow you became cooler, Ignis"

"If only I can say that back to you, but my vision really didn't return. I'm just glad that your safe" Ignis said and patted her shoulder. She then took a peak at Prompto and saw him looking at her

"I see that you have changed a lot as well" he released a small laugh

"Same goes to you" she looked away and cleared her throat. They then saw the headlights of Talcott's truck. She then headed to her vehicle and took a drink. She then walked towards Talcott's truck and handed him the drink

"Thanks miss (F/N)"

"As I said before. No formalities" she then patted his shoulder

"Took you long enough to come back, Noct" he then turned to her and grinned

"Same goes to you"

"Talcott told you, didn't he?" she then turned her gaze to Talcott who was just whistling away

"Hey, he needs to tell me some updates"

"Sure" she said sarcastically and patted her friends shoulder

"You guys need to ready your inventory. You might not know what Ardyn has in store for you once you get to Insomnia" she then walked pass the guys and headed back to her vehicle to get some things for them.

When she was inside, she heard someone tapping on the window. She then got out and put her hands on her hips

"And what does his majesty need?"

"We need to talk... privately" Noctis said and they both looked at Prompto who was acting busy

"About Prompto?" she then looked at Noctis and crossed her arms

"What else?" he shrugged, she released a sigh and slumped her shoulders

"Fine... what do you want to talk about? Regarding him!"

"What really happened to your relationship?" he asked and the both of them leaned to her vehicle

"I don't know. I might have gone hot headed for a while. But..." she then looked down. Finding her words....

"He said that it's stuck like this for ten years now. Even without the owner wearing it, it still knows what the person is feeling" Noctis then handed her bracelet and the color of the pendant was red

"Conflicted? Why is he feeling conflicted?" she muttered

"Because he doesn't know what to do once he sees you again, till now" Noctis said

"Also, the pendant on his bracelet... was the same colors as yours" he added

"How could I be conflicted? I always try to focus on what's coming"

"But did you focus on what's going to happen between the two of you?" she didn't utter a word and Noctis just released a sigh. He then started walking towards the guys... and moments later, she heard footsteps. She looked up and saw Noctis dragging Prompto towards her. Noctis then pushed Prompto forward that made him stumble towards her

"Will give you some time. Before we leave, the both of you need to fix this relationship of yours" Noctis said walked back to Gladiolus and Ignis. The both of them released a sigh

"Thanks, Noct" they said at the same time. The both of them were still standing in front of each other, don't know what to say

"So, what now?" Prompto decided to ask, she just shrugged

"I don't know. Mostly, can we... fix this?"

"I mean, maybe. But, it depends on you. And I'm sorry for this, (F/N). My feelings got all mixed up and I ended up in hurting you. I even promised that I will be the greatest, first ever boyfriend that you will have, hehe, now look at what I did"

"Hey, I'm the one who should apologize. I'm the one who made it to a big thing—"

"I'm the one who made it to a big thing! It's a huge deal! This is not pointless and never will be" Prompto then cupped both of her cheeks

"I really wish that I could do better for you"

"We might not know. Will it change though?" she then placed her hands on his

"We're just going to find out once I get back"

"Mom! C'mon! Wake up! Dad's here already!"

"Five more minutes, sweetie"

"C'mon buddy, your mom still needs to sleep. You know that she got here late"

"But this is the only day I can spend with the both of you"

"Hey, I'm free tomorrow"

"Mom is not. Uncle Ignis asked for her help for them to go to Caem"

"Oh right. Hmmm, maybe I can ask Uncle Ignis if the both of us can join them"

"Alright! I'll go ask him right now!"

"Be careful" he released a chuckle and lay down on the bed

"Hey sleeping beauty. Time to wake up"

"If I'm sleeping beauty, shouldn't you be doing something to wake me up then?"

"How could I forgot" he then leaned down to kiss his wife to wake her up

"Do you think Ignis will let you come?" she asked while cooking their brunch

"The two of you might need some more muscle" Prompto started flexing his arms to prove his point

"He might just go with Uncle Glad then, or may be Iris"

"Hey! I'm also strong" Prompto pouted which made her release a chuckle and walked towards him to kiss his lips

"Sure you do"

"Well, this is the reason why you love me"
