WARNING: deaths, blood, gore...what did you expect?
Scott widened his eyes when heard Lilliana scream, the bus titling forward a bit. Everyone in the bus fell, Mitch waking up instantly only to widen his eyes as he saw the bridge breaking. He whimpered slightly, looking up at Scott with tear filled eyes.
"Scott? I'm scared."
"I know, baby," Scott mumbled, taking Mitch's hand and bled it firmly. Kirstie and Alyssa were crying, not understanding what was going on. "GET OFF THE BUS! NOW!"
Esther opened the door, her hands shaking as she cried. She was about to step onto the street when a huge chuck fell, which almost made her fall. She screamed, breathing heavily as Avi helped her. He brought her to safety, making her out her back to the bus.
"Esther, everyone, put your back to the bus and walk carefully until we get to safer ground," Avi instructed, trying his best not to cry. He saw a beam fall onto a car, blood splattering everywhere.
"HURRY UP!"
Esther got to safety, cars and people falling into the Pacific Ocean like rag dolls. Everybody left the bus carefully when Kirstie realized something, widening her eyes as she looked back.
"LILIANA!"
The bus fell forward, hitting the concrete block at the bottom. A red substance stained the block, naming everyone look away instead of Kirstie. Kirstie began to sob when she saw the blood, Alyssa taking her hand to make her look away.
"EVERYONE, FOLLOW ME," Scott demanded as a construction worker fell in front of him and Mitch. Mitch screamed, unable to look at the dead body. "Mitch, look away. Close your eyes."
Mitch nodded, closing his eyes as Kevin accidentally ran into him. His glasses fell off, someone stepping on them right away. Mitch opened his eyes, freaking out at his blurred vision.
"I CAN'T SEE, I CAN'T' SEE!"
"Mitch, I'll buy you new glasses wh-"
"KIRSTIE AND ALYSSA," Kevin called out, crying hysterically. Both girls stopped, not seeing the gas underneath them and the fire coming. "LOOK OU-"
Too late.
The fire consumed both of the girls, making them scream as they felt their skin bubble. Scott was thankful that Mitch's glasses broke, still hiding his boyfriend's face so he wouldn't see Kirstie die. Scott had no idea how he was going to tell Jeremy about this.
If he was lucky.
"NO," Kevin yelled, falling on his knees as Avi helped him up. Both men were crying, unable to process this. "ALYSSA !"
"Where's Kirstie, Scott? Please te-"
"SCOTT, LOOK OUT!"
A license plate was flying towards the tall blond, making him duck. Nicole was behind him, widening her her eyes one last time as the license plate stabbed her neck. Blood leaked out, making her choke as she fell to the ground. Esther saw it all, crying as she thought about the deaths.
Lilliana, Kirstie, Alyssa, Nicole...who's next?
Scott was still crying, thinking about Kirstie as Mitch held onto his boyfriend's shirt. He was crying because he had no idea what was going, screaming when he felt more movement from the bridge's demise.
"We're all going to die. We're all going to die."
Scott couldn't reassure Mitch because at this point, there was no point of reassuring.
They all have to accept the fact that they are dying.
"Guys, walk forwards," Avi demanded, becoming skittish as a truck with poles drove by. "Avoid that. Let's walk over there. There's safety."
Scott looked up to see a single metal beam that resembled a thick tight rope. Mitch held onto Scott's hand, unable to open his eyes when the truck with the poles fell. Esther screamed, almost being stabbed before Kevin ran in front of her. The pole entered his stomach, naming him gasp for air as he fell off the bridge and onto a concrete block himself.
Four more to go.
"Oh my gosh, Kevin," Avi mumbled, shaking his head as Scott and Mitch ran through the catastrophe. "Esther, come on! Be carefully!"
Esther stood up and was perfectly fine when a car drove past her, making her fall. The pencil she had stabbed her temple, blood rushing out as Avi screamed. Scott and Mitch were way ahead of him, wanting nothing more to survive.
To be together.
To love each other a little bit more.
"Scott, I need to open my eyes."
"It's okay, baby. We're almost to survival."
Meanwhile, Avi was trying his best to get Esther's dead body when an animal bit him. He screamed, the animal biting him once more before he fell into a truck with Smoky the Bear on it. He widened his eyes at the animal, realizing that it might be from the forest a couple miles ahead of him.
Which he could have gone to if he noticed that there was a safer way to get to off the bridge.
And the guarantee that everyone in he band, Nicole, Alyssa, and Esther would have survived.
"Oh my go-"
The animal jumped up and bit Avi's neck, the teeth digging into the bearded man's jugular. Avi passed away on the spot, unable to fight much longer as the animal feasted on his prey.
Scott and Mitch finally made it to the beam, were people were were walking on it and safely going to the other side. Scott took Mitch's hands in his own, making his boyfriend look at him seriously.
"Follow me, Mitch. I'm going to walk backwards and you are going to walk forwards. We're doing to be safe."
Mitch nodded, sobbing quietly as Scott led him down the beam. They were finally there when Mitch slipped, falling to his knees as Scott made it to the concrete. Mitch began to panic, crying heavily as Scott took his hand.
"Mitch, it's okay. I got-
Mitch's knees slipped, making him lose his grip from Scott's hand. He fell, bracing himself as he fell into the water. Scott began to cry, thankful when she Mitch land into the water safety when a car was starting to fall. He widened his eyes and did what he had to do.
He jumped.
He felt the wind fly through his hair, feeling like he was an angel.
Mitch's angel.
He groaned as soon as he hit the water, Mitch screaming in pain as he swam up. Scott swan over to his boyfriend, holding him protectively.
"Scott, I think my rib broke."
"It's okay, Mitch. We just need to-"
At that moment, the car began to fall. Scott looked up, accepting death.
As the glass around him and Mitch broke, he was met with black.
