SUMMARY.

Azria meant that you were helped by god, that somehow along the way, god had lended a helping hand and guided through whatever you had gone through. Celine and Stephen Herondale believed that their daughter deserved a name that suited her but due to Celine's and Stephen's death, they never had that chance. Azria was never officially named by her own parents, she was named by the man that took her in and raised her as his own.

Valentine Morgenstern was the most wanted man in the shadow world and probably one of the most powerful. The only reason he was more powerful than a regular shadowhunter was because he had brainwashed enough people to stick by his side and claim that they were loyal. He made a lot of them believe that anyone with demon blood inside them was a threat to this world and needed to be eliminated. Valentine promised that if the Circle kept doing their work, the world wouldn't contain any demons.

For a long time, Valentine made Azria believe that he was doing this for her because he wanted to protect her but as time went on, she realized he was only doing this for himself. There was something deep inside that wanted the world to be safe, but he also wanted the Glory. Imagine saving the world and getting rid of every single demon, only to have people bow down to you. That's what Valentine wanted.

For most of Azria's life, she had stayed under his roof, or many roofs because he was a huge fan of moving around more than once. Valentine had taught her how to fight just like him and be the best that their ever was, no matter the cost. As he did with his two other children, he experimented on her but this one was different and he knew that. He wanted to see if he could create something extraordinary, something different and something unkillable and he did just that, but he made a mistake.

Azria Herondale wasn't loyal to Valentine, everyone knew that and when they found out what she had became, everyone was on the edge of their seats. Many circle members made the mistake of killing her because only then she would be reborn from the ashes. Shadowhunters were the ones that taught everyone that all the legends were true but to them, even the bennu was a myth.

She ended up being too dangerous, too powerful so he put her to sleep but when he realizes he can't win the war on his own, he wakes her up.

In the shadow world, the bennu was a gift from god and maybe her name fit her after all.

i. this plot to me seemed very cool and unique, but I wasn't confident enough to write it, lol but maybe one of you guys can!

ii. first off, yes she is Jace's sister as you can probably tell but they won't find that out yet until jace finds out he's a herondale, I forget what episode that is but I think it's 13 or 14. In 2x20 Azria will die, just like Jace does but here's the thing, when they were both born, their parents imbedded each of them with a rune, it's called a blood bond and it can only be placed on siblings, it's basically like a parabati rune but stronger. So, when Azria dies, Jace feels it just like Alec dies in the actual show. Obviously, she's brought back to life by Clary.

iii. you can decide who Azria is hated by, she is very similar to jace so you can make whoever you want hate her because there has to at least be someone who doesn't like her.

iv. For those of you who don't know, a bennu is a Phoenix. In the shadow world, a bennu is usually a gift from god himself and Valentine thinks that god has gifted him with the right weapon to win the war, but that's not case. She is a gift from god, but not to help valentine, just to destroy him and win the war for the shadowhunters. Azria obviously isn't good with her powers, seeing as she was never trained with how to use them. She is a badass fighter though, considering Valentine taught her everything.

v. Please do not erase Clary's relationship with Jace or even Simon. Obviously, Simon has been in love with her since forever and Jace still has a lot of feeling considering all the time they spent together and the fact that they were a couple before finding out they were "siblings"

vi. If you decide to continue on to season three, Azria will be possessed by the owl. I've never seen anyone write in the owl perspective and you can decide whether you want to put scenes of inside her head, of her trying to fight back against Lilith. Obviously, it'll be very sad and emotional :(
