39| "Outrageous affection."
Nabbi was never dead.
Taehyung missed Nabbi. When Hyeon had embezzled him away from her, there wasn't a single day when he didn't think about this woman, there wasn't a single moment where he didn't want to search her and her sister's grave and dig them out of there. He molded his pain, twisted it like a ball, and downed it down to his throat until it rotted in his stomach and sickened him from the core. Pain made him toxic, bitter, and angry with the world, it messed up the sinless parts of him.
Instead of ripping Hyeon's chest open and feasting on his heart, Taehyung began to mourn over something that was nothing but a bunch of lies. But he was just a mere child, not the smartest, still 12, still weak and breakable. What else could he do instead of hiding away from Hyeon's rage and loathsome eyes?
FLASHBACK *because
I hate writing in italics*
"I wouldn't even let you live if I wasn't in such a powerless position. My father was always against my wishes, and always thought that I was nothing but a useless fool. A weakling who couldn't do anything right but certainly after seeing you, he had changed his perspectives on me." Seon grabbed Taehyung's jaw, angling his delicate face up so he could sneer and glare into his golden set of irises.
Taehyung loathed himself even more how he and his father shared an identical set of eyes. He wished to claw them out— not his, but Seon's.
"Maybe marrying Nabi and bringing you into this world wasn't such a bad idea. I was afraid you would be a trouble in my space but I'm proved wrong. My father said it's not a worry if Seon can't give our family an heir because I have you, you are my blood." Taehyung's eyes skimmed all over the rigid lining of Hyeon's face, he was this close spitting on him but decided not to do that, he was already shaking under Hyeon's punishing grip. At least, little Taehyung knew that scandalizing the man would make the matter worse.
"Where is my mother and sister? What did you do to them?!" Yet Taehyung asked with whatever brittle power he had crowded inside him.
"You wanna know? Will you be able to bear the answer, my son?" Taehyung's heart plunged into the abyss of fear, his face twisted in uneasiness. He wanted his mom's warm arms. His sister's innocent smile. "They are both dead. You have no one but me now." And his heart kicked his chest so strongly, he found the pain almost deadly.
"No, you are lying!" Taehyung's breaths were coming out in pants and loud huffs. Dead? That meant he wouldn't be able to see them right? That's what that bastard meant, right? With profound disgust, he jerked Hyeon's hand and shoved him away until there was a short distance between them.
"I'm not lying. You are alone and you won't survive the world. There are bad people, worse than me, they'll eat you alive and toss your remains in the trench. So from now on, be my good son and do your best." Hyeon reached to Taehyung and ruffled his hair, not a gesture of fondness. His golden eyes were so callous, that Taehyung wanted nothing but to run away and hide under his bed.
"You are my son, act like one, make me proud." When his father grinned, he looked similar to the monsters Taehyung had seen in his nightmares.
"And if I won't?" Taehyung chided out, his voice cracking on the edge of his lips.
"That's not how you talk to your father." Taehyung couldn't even comprehend when Hyeon erased the distance and slapped him across the face. His skin stings hot and the corner of his mouth bleeds, one drop of blood trickling down. Taehyung exhaled, his eyes red-rimmed; however, he didn't cry.
"If you won't listen to me and try to be a disobedient son, your new mother has to suffer." Taehyung blinked at Hyeon who was coolly standing in front of him with his hands shoved inside his pockets. Appearing so broad and tall, injecting extreme fear in Taehyung's veins.
"I can snatch her from you and throw her out of your sight. It's not a big deal for me. I can make people disappear like I did to Nabbi and Aiya. I can do that again. You don't want to see Seon in pain right?" Hyeon dipped his brows. "She loves you, she loves you more than she could ever love her actual child. Since you came, she has been happy and I would hate to hurt her the way I've hurt Nabbi. I remember how Nabbi was crying, screaming, begging. Do you wanna see Seon ending up like her?" His question squeezed Taehyung's gut, his lower lip trembling in dread. He didn't want Seon to get hurt or die. What if she disappeared one night like Nabbi and Aiya and never returned to him?
"No! Don't hurt her." Taehyung's eyes began aching, tears stinging his lower lashes. Finally, the poor boy was going to cry. Finally, he was cracking. "She is my mother!"
"That's my boy." Hyeon patted his hurt cheek. "She is your mother, forget about the people who no longer exist, they don't come back from the dead." It would echo in Taehyung's ears like a wretched symphony.

"Tae." The delicate voice ripped him out of his disturbing haze. A scowl travelled across his face when the bolt of realization rumbled over him, reminding him that he was again mindlessly creeping into the darkest pieces of his memories. He blinked back at Nabbi who was holding his arm, a delicate frown between her brows.
All those years Taehyung wasted being a puppet of Hyeon, letting him pull the strings, and exploiting him into being an obedient son. Hyeon controlled everything, like who Taehyung would be friends with, what subject he would study in his school, which sports he should play, which instrument he should pick, and even what he would do in his free time. Taehyung should have been careful of Hyeon's corrupting web, he had fed him the lies about his mother and sister being dead and Taehyung naively consumed it all until he was sunken from the grief.
After such a long separation he met Nabbi in the mental asylum, he didn't expect her to engulf him in her arms. She did. With brittle steps and wide eyes, she pulled him in her arms as if this was the moment she had been waiting for all these years. The warmth that had been robbed from Taehyung, the warmth that he had been craving all these had been found. But he knew Nabbi hadn't recognized him due to suffering from Retrograde amnesia. Taehyung was erased from her memories and every best moment they had spent together. Nabbi didn't remember what hell she went through, or how she was plucked out from Taehyung's life.
Hyeon ditched her there, it wasn't difficult for him to shove enough money down the doctor's throat and make it look as though Nabbi was convincingly unstable. She was unwieldy, screaming and scratching at the walls of her wards, her state went even worse whenever Hyeon came to meet her. Then all of a sudden, he stopped coming. And then Nabbi had gone completely quiet as if a switch inside hers had been shut off. As if she had lost her mind completely and had no energy to fight whatever battle she had inside her.
It gave Taehyung an unwanted reality check that the years were not kinder with his mother. Seeing her breathing yet breakable left a consuming fire of vengeance within Taehyung. He was going to ruin him, crush him, and then watch his remains burn with his barbarity to the ashes. Taehyung was what Hyeon created, an ugly monster with no morality, and now he had to deal with the outcome.
He attempted to ask her about his sister, but all attempts were fruitless. Nabbi would just look at his face as if she couldn't understand him. And her silence broke Taehyung little by little and abandoned him into miserable chunks. Hyeon had no idea that Nabbi was released from the hospital, he thought that Nabbi had shifted to another hospital. Buying the doctor wasn't difficult, one blank cheque from Seon and he began dancing in whatever tune they wanted him to.
"You alright?" Nabbi softly patted his cheek, the gentleness in her touch scintillating the rusty memories of his childhood, sliding another blade across his skin.
"Sorry my mind drifted somewhere else, I hate thinking about bad things but I can't stop immersing myself when they rush back." Taehyung's voice didn't affect her soft expressions. No words left, not even a slight hum though he managed to find comfort in her silence. "How are you feeling Mom?"
"Good." A smallish smile coiled her lips.
"Should we style your hair like you used to do?" Nabbi's fingers skimmed her hair as she shrugged. Then a few minutes later Taehyung found himself combing her hair and then styling her inky hair in soft ringlets, letting them fall loosely on her shoulders.
"Look how beautiful my mom is." He caresses her head, smiling at her through the mirror as her fingers brush the curls. She was healthy now, her skin wasn't as rosy as it used to be like Taehyung remembered but at least her bones weren't jutting out of her clothes. At least there wasn't any hollowness in her cheeks, at least she didn't forget to smile. It was enough for a son.
"He had no right to ruin your beauty and walk out of your destroyed pieces. I'll make sure to inflict every pain that he has caused, he'll pay and that day we'll celebrate his misery." Her expression didn't change and for a second Taehyung thought if she was even there. Would she understand his outrage and crippled emotions? Maybe yes and maybe she would be able to see what kind of person he had become. A monster.
"Let's go for a walk, Mom. The weather is nice today." Taehyung commented, taking her hand in his as they walked out of the house to the lakeside. Taehyung smiled at Mari following them behind, she was an old woman in her 40s and a full-time caretaker of Nabbi.
The property belongs to Seon which she inherited from her mother as a gift many years ago. It was a white stone house with fresh green ivy climbing to the black roof. It was massive with 20 bedrooms, they were all locked and Taehyung didn't bother to open them. Hyeon had no clue about this house, so they believed he would never be able to find Nabbi. Because it was surrounded by the woods and separated from the noise and bluster of the city, it was perfect to stay hidden from Hyeon's shrewd eyes. Since Taehyung couldn't make time to meet Nabbi every day, he made sure to spend a long time with her.
"I like this place." Taehyung smiled despite hearing the same sentence countless times whenever he visited Nabbi.
"I'm glad," Taehyung mumbled and gazed at the lake stretching in front of him. "Is there anything you want to do today? We can cook or paint or watch a movie. Whatever you like Mom." As they were walking in a comforting silence, Taehyung's phone buzzed, indicating that a new notification had popped in.
"Mari, stay with Mom for a moment please." Taehyung squeezed Nabbi's hand for the last time as he walked away to the chair and lazily dropped on it. His eyes flickered at the smiling Mari and his mother who now had their arms linked as he glanced down at his phone.
His insta was bombarded with messages from his friends and some girls who were usually flirtatious to him in DMS. He didn't bother to waste his time checking them, he never did. What pulled a shocking reaction out of him was that Ji-hoon had sent him a pic on insta and the next moment Taehyung had a red veil over his eyes. With rigid shoulders, he tapped his screen, rather harshly.
In the pic ji-hoon and Nina were grinning and looking into each other as Ji-hoon was pinching her cheeks. He was touching her. Absolutely no fucking way. Taehyung rubbed his palm over his face and flipped his hair back, a dark shadow falling over his clear-cut features as he sensed his blood simmering with violent energy, on the verge of spurting out of his veins. The day wasn't supposed to be ruined like this. He didn't know what pissed him off more, Nina being with another guy or another guy so casually touching her as if he had all the right to do that. Because he had none.
Ji-hoon: Don't we look good together? I know you are not the right person to ask but still wanna know your opinion.
That bastard dared to text him this ridiculous message.
"This fucker is really looking to get himself killed." Taehyung's upper lips curled into a snarl as he stared at the picture with a vibrating anger streaming in every vessel of his body. Ji-hoon was trying to rub the reality over Taehyung that he was close to Nina's, he could breathe in her space but not Taehyung which left a bitter taste in Taehyung's mouth.
Taehyung: I don't like when others look at what's mine so eyes fucking off before I poke them out and sell them in the black market. I know how this shit works, don't provoke me.
Ji-hoon: She isn't yours, Kim. Stop establishing your control over her. She was with me on a date as you can see in the picture. All you can do is sit, talk big, and watch like a pussy. After all, it's me who Nina chose.
"Nina will never choose you over me, she hasn't learned to unlove me." Taehyung stared hard at the screen as if he could punch Ji-hoon through the screen.
"Mom." Nabbi looked back at Taehyung. "I need to go back, something urgent has come." Taehyung forced a smile, his fingers clenched around his phone in an attempt to suppress his outrage.

Fuck. Taehyung couldn't breathe. Every exhale was like a blade in the back of his throat and every inhale felt like he had borrowed it. The riot was pulsating within him with fangs and claws, trying to rip him open and destroy everything in its wake.
Was he finally losing his mind over a girl?
With disastrous energy thundering his chest, Taehyung turned down the block Nina was working on. Throughout the whole ride, everything was a blur around him, his absolute focus was set on Nina as he walked out of the house in a haste that he didn't properly say bye to Nabbi. A silent hug and that was it, even Mari frowned a little at the sudden change in his mood.
"Calm down. Get your shit together, you are not a baby." Taehyung gave himself a pitiful encouragement with no ease in sight, he pressed the back of his head against the seat and fluttered his eyes closed.
The images of Nina reeled inside Taehyung's head as his shoulders slumped down in relief. She was clad in a red tulle dress and he released an exhale of agony, appreciating the beauty of her form cinched up so elegantly in this dress. Her inky hair was gliding down on her back and breast and she was dancing in the gym, something that Taehyung developed an obsession with. Like magic, his worries evaporated in a blink as he focused on his dream— then an unwanted person entered his daydream. It was none other than Ji-hoon as Taehyung imagined a smiling Nina jumping in that loser's arms and kissing him with an awful passion, and Taehyung was standing in the distance, actually watching them like a damn pussy —
Taehyung snapped open his eyes and disgust stung his stomach. Goodness, what the hell was that? Wasn't he allowed to even dream now?
"I had always daydreamed about her but there was never an outsider, it was always her, and I then how that miserable fuck has gotten the access?!" Taehyung hit the steering wheel with his palms, and the single vein around his forehead was evident.
Taehyung's daydreams about Nina were his escape from shitty reality as if she was his lifeline. When things got heavy and sharper, he would close his eyes, visualize her and then silently, even gently slip into his dreamland like he does every morning to see her dancing in the gym. Everyone had their own ways of dealing with circumstances, Taehyung's happened to be Nina. She was his salvation on this earth.
"That fucker is probably lying, Nina would never choose him. First, because she didn't like him romantically. Secondly, she knew I'd slaughter him." Taehyung's breaths were coming into choppy breaths.
"I shouldn't go inside, she won't be happy. And then there is this loser, Ji-hoon. God needs to give me some self-restraint before I kill him and I don't want to do something that'll make Nina hate me even more. Tears would ruin her beauty." Taehyung tightened his grip around the steering wheel, staring at the glass window of the shop that gave him a slight view of the interiors and the customers.
It was mid-evening and the rush of customers was still in the shop. His foot crushes on the brake as he comes even with Sunshine Café. He rolled his shoulders and heaved a long sigh, contemplating if he should go inside…
Fuck it, he was going inside.
Nina was busy wiping down the coffee station with a sullen pout. There was a weird feeling in her guts, indicating something which she couldn't point out. Maybe, she was hungry but it wouldn't look good eating in front of the customers and Daisy, the owner of the cafe. The sound of the front door opening seized her attention as she tossed the rag and hurried back toward her spot behind the counter.
"What's he doing in my workplace?" Her professional 'welcome to our cafe' smile sank from her lips when she caught sight of a boy. A very, heartbreakingly handsome boy with sharp cheekbones and angular jaw. His every step exuded confidence and urgency, even the way he flicked up his right brow was nothing but pure enticement. However, those golden sets of eyes had left Nina a fidgety mess on the spot. Why did they look extra feral?
Nina had often caught Taehyung outside the cafe or his car, Taehyung didn't even try to hide himself. He had let her know that he was there, waiting for her to talk to him, even glance at him. And as much as it should have upset her, she couldn't seem to control the alleviation blossoming in the withered corner within her when he was around. Not even when he would silently and shamelessly watch her dancing in the gym, every day, at the same time. Not even one minute late.
His determination was her weakness and Nina was facing a hard time getting rid of him.
The way Taehyung looked at her, made her feel as if the earth had split open and the sky was collapsing and she was the only beautiful thing left for him to admire. Today, she couldn't eradicate the bleakness creeping in when there was no trace of him outside the cafe… and now he was here, Nina didn't know how to prevent her emotions from bleeding out on the floor of her chest.
"What are you doing here at my workplace?" Nina was having sheer difficulty standing calmly under his intense scrutiny, her hands becoming clammy as she wiped her palms in her denim jeans.
"Do you want a coffee?" Sudden stiffness took over her spine upon catching a glimpse of a steel scowl sculpting Taehyung's face. Taehyung didn't look happy for some reason and she wondered why his devilish persona was depressingly black.
"This is a girl and her voice will be the end of me. Sometimes I feel like God has created her to ruin me." A pang of hurt seared into his chest, spreading wide until it physically ached him.
The persistent fear of losing her to someone else was wounding his flesh, leaving an invisible trail of blood. The dread to watch her falling for someone else was crippling as well as the desire to possess her in every possible way was tethering him with a brutal force.
"Taehyung, do you want a coffee or do you want to order food?" Nina repeated. This time her perplexity was obvious. Five times Taehyung had counted the times she had impatiently tapped her soft, lithe fingers at the counter. He wanted to bite them, feel the soft skin of her fingertips against his tongue and it had nothing to do with cannibalism.
"Something tells me you aren't here for food." Nina concluded, the tap on the counter stopped and he finally pinned her with his stare, finding her visibly going stiff.
"Were you on a date?" Taehyung struck her with the clipped question that was gnawing his throat.
"What are you saying?" Nina was bewildered, her tone was stringent as it didn't help Taehyung's anxiety. His desperation grew with the urge to bury Ji-hoon 20 feet under the ground. Her eyes moved to the front door, checking if some other customers were coming. None. Thank god.
"Eyes at me, baby." Taehyung spoke so calmly that it caused heat to form in her chest, climbed her face, and went across to her ears. She snapped her head at him, appearing skittish under his scrutiny and it was like a punch in Taehyung's chest. He wanted to grip her chin, haul her closer, and kiss her until their lips were raw and on the verge of deadening. That's right, that damn expression was for him and only belonged to him.
So that's what you feel when you are defeated by the hands of your desire? This powerless and torn when you couldn't touch what you had been longing for all these years. . . Hell, he was miserable in love. He had deeply, unfathomably, and senselessly fallen for Nina. So much love, that it made him long to tear everything into pieces when she wasn't by his side.
"Were you on a date with that motherfucker, Ji-hoon? Today? Tomorrow? When were you out with him? And how I don't know about this?" The growl ripped out of the center of his chest like a dark, twisted symphony that Nina would like to hear again and again.
Nina had promised herself that she would stop looking at him through the foyer or the school hallways or from the rooftop or through the cafe window— it seemed like she had to give herself another pep talk and false strength to move on from him.
"Aw, it seems like you failed to be the greatest stalker in the world, fictional man does better." Nina mocked him.
"Fuck your fictional man." Taehyung gritted out.
"Oh wish I could." Nina feigned a sigh of distress just to irritate him. It pleased her to see him all worked up. Amid his presence, It didn't even cross her head how Taehyung had found out about her meeting with Ji-hoon.
"Answer me." Taehyung's fingers curled into a fist.
"I don't owe you an explanation. What I do and who I see is none of your business." Nina mimicked the scowl that he was pointing at her.
"I think we both know, you are my business." Taehyung inched closer as the new dread slammed over her when his breaths fell over her face.
"I'm not your—"
"Nina Wang." A ring of warning in his deep drawl as if a wounded animal had been lashing out to be freed, to pounce on his prey. A dangerous tick in his jaw was enough to grind down her humor. He called her by her full name, which meant shit had hit the fan. Taehyung only used her full name when he was annoyed beyond words.
"Do not toy with my patience, I'm on the verge of doing something worse. I swear I'll go to his house and beat him to a pulp and it still won't calm me. so I'll beat him again and again until his whole existence becomes unrecognizable, he won't be able to look himself in the mirror or talk properly. You know well, if I say something, I'll fucking do it. And you would be responsible for my anger and the result of my actions. So be my sweet princess and answer me." Taehyung's face was so viciously blank, for a second Nina thought he was just an icy sculpture with wrath-filled eyes.
"Taehyung, I work here, please don't create a scene. You need to leave right now." Nina looked around at the customers who were oblivious to their conflict as she looked at her fellow employees who were throwing funny looks from the kitchen.
"Oh you mean, grabbing your hand and throwing you on my shoulder while you scream, scratch, and curse at me? Yeah that would make an embarrassing scene but I would still walk out like a caveman with zero fucks but the next day you won't be able to show your pretty face here." Taehyung waggled his brows, doubling Nina's frustration.
"Think about throwing me on your shoulder and I'll strangle you to death." She squinted her eyes at him, there was no trace of humor in her undertone.
"Is that a challenge, red?" Taehyung grinned, relishing her irritation.
"Yes, it is. I've had enough of your bullshit. Either you walk out of here or I'll kick you out of this cafe." Nina grinned back, every word was chewed out of her mouth.
"Drop this bitchy attitude and it's not a request." His face again went serious, voice severe with mean energy.
"I won't! Get off your high horses. This world doesn't revolve around you." She crossed her arms across herself.
"But my world revolves around you, and you have the power to destroy it." Nina couldn't help but let his words tear the thing rooted inside her chest. The energy between them shifted, the air became scalding and her stomach suddenly had sickly sweet coils, threatening to reach the parts that had been hidden from him.
"Is everything okay here?" Daisy spurred a question, walking out of the kitchen as Nina snapped her head at Taehyung with wide eyes. Nina rounded the counter and stood in front of him, mouthing 'Go away' but Taehyung didn't faze, he didn't even move a single muscle of his face.
"Smile and look pretty." Taehyung whispered low, his knuckles grazed her cheek and then the touch disappeared. It was for a beat, just a light whiff of skin grazing against skin. Nina would haven't noticed if she wasn't so focused on him. Just one touch arose a weird sort of serenity inside her as if she was a feral animal that was touch-deprived and now so serene and mellow that she could count every thud of her heartbeats.
Daisy was a small, chubby woman with a smiley face. Her inquisitive eyes take a look at Taehyung from head to toe. "Do you need anything and if not then—"
"I know him, he is here to see me." Nina piped in, urgently.
"Daisy, this is Taehyung, and Taehyung, this is my boss. Now you can leave, you must be busy and need to be home right?" Nina awkwardly chuckled and tried to push Taehyung by bracing her palms on his biceps, only to get flustered by the hardy muscles. Nina squeezed them and then reminded herself that she needed to focus— but her focus was swaying against those steel-like lean muscles.
"No, I've all the time in the world."
Taehyung's bleak expression switched into a pleasant one as he flared one of his polite smiles at Daisy, avoiding Nina's soul-eating glares.
"But we don't have time, we are busy." Nina seethed beside him, her temper got worse when Taehyung scrunched his nose and intertwined their fingers together, earning another glare from her. If she wasn't wrong, she had seen a devilish grin in his witchery eyes.
"Pleased to meet you, ma'am." Taehyung shook Daisy's hand and the woman's smile widened. "I've to say, I love your cafe, the vintage vibes and the interiors are just impeccable." Nina's lips parted at his smooth tone and that unapologetically suave smile and she hated herself staring at his moving mouth a little longer.
His lips were so perfectly curved. Cherry red and fucking kissable— They called Nina to suck and chew them… focus, she needed to be focused and not swayed by this charming devil.
"Thank you, all credits go to my daughter. She designed this cafe."
"Daughter?" Taehyung puffed out a gasp, placing his hand on his mouth in feigning shock. " Daisy, you must be joking right?" Nina lowered her head, in an attempt to hide her smile at his dramatic antics.
"No, I'm not, why? Is there any problem?" Poor Daisy seemed genuinely dumbfounded.
"You have a daughter? Look at you still radiating. You are so young. I can't even guess your age." Not really, she was 45 years old and her age was quite evident. Regardless of that, Daisy seemed to fall on Taehyung's charisma as she shyly slapped his arm. Yes, she believed him.
"Come on, I don't look that young." Daisy was flattered, giggling and shying away like a teenager and Nina swore she had seen her eyes turning hearty for Taehyung.
"I can't wrap my head around this. I mean you look a few years older than Nina, you know, like sisters." Nina snapped her head at Taehyung with 'Really? Sisters? You wanna die?' expression on her face as Taehyung cleared his throat to seal the laugh begging to be ripped out.
"Taehyung, I think you should leave, it's work time." Nina gritted her teeth.
"Aw, can't you stay?" Daisy asked as Nina facepalmed herself. Here we go, Mr. Kim Taehyung's allure had taken over another mortal. Nina couldn't resist the urge to roll her eyes at the fact that Daisy had also joined the list of Taehyung's devotees.
"I'm afraid, I can't dais. I can call you Dais right?" Taehyung uttered a layer of tenderness in his undertone.
"Of course dear, you can." The smile Taehyung gave Daisy melted whatever tension Nina had brewing within her.
Nina tried her hardest to steal her eyes away from him but to no avail. As if her eyes had their own wishes and desires to drown in him and never wanted to leave. Because of the way his eyes crinkled from the sides. The way his lips elegantly splayed and coiled upwards told her that it wasn't one of his fraudulent smiles that he offered the world. She had watched him give a similar smile to his mother Seon, his friends, and sometimes even her.
God, why does she have to notice every little thing about him? Hate him. Hate him. Hate him. Her mind kept chanting, kept reminding her that Taehyung would only bring her pain but why couldn't she just hate him despite knowing that he was nothing but a pretentious dickhead.
"If you don't mind dais, can I take a few minutes with Nina? I need to discuss a very important matter and I promise I won't take much time." Nina was quiet, just eyeing this crazy event unfolding as she was aware that if she dared to let out a hiss of object or disobey him, Taehyung would brutally crush her every attempt to escape.
He might actually carry her out of the cafe like a caveman and that's the last thing she would want. She didn't want to greet the mortification that his reckless action would cause. A few minutes ago he was this close chewing Ji-hoon alive and now in front of Daisy— oh sorry, Dais, he was acting as if he was the most saintly person breathing in onis damn earth.
"Sure, sure." Daisy chirped like a cheerful bird. Clasping her hands together, she stared at the couple with tons of affection.
"Daisy, but the customers." Nina shook her head, her face paled and the pulse of her neck intensified when her eyes clashed with Taehyung's narrowed ones. Alright, he was still in a shitty mood.
"I'll manage them with other employees, trust me. Now shoo you love birds and solve your quarrel. Oh my god, look at you both glowing together, stay blessed." Daisy pushed Taehyung and Nina toward the door which Nina obeyed with a stiff spine.
"Why so jittery? I'm not going to eat you." Taehyung commented in a tone as if he could be anywhere but here which did fuel her fury.
"I'm not—"
"Because I'm going to devour you." Nina inhaled, catching a touch of an improper smirk on his luscious mouth.
Nina swallowed the stress stirring in her tongue when Taehyung held her waist and dragged her toward his car.
