You walked into the great hall and looked at the Slytherin table. Your fingers were tangled with Dracos. There was no spot left at the table. All the students made sure there wasn't. You sighed and saw down against the wall. McGonagall and Hagrid looked at the two of you. You laid your head on Dracos shoulder. McGonagall stepped forwards.

'Welcome back students, to another year of Hogwarts. First of, I'd like to start with a moment of silence for those who lost their lives in the war.'

You stared at the stage and everyone was quiet. You thought about Severus and grabbed Dracos hand. He kissed your head.

'Thank you.' She spoke. 'Our new first years will be sorted in a moment. First I want to make clear that all the rules at Hogwarts are still the same. The Forbidden Forest is still forbidden, also you are not allowed to enter places in Hogwarts that aren't rebuild yet. We don't anyone else to get hurt. Further more, Luna Lovergood will be the head girl of ravenclaw, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger will be the head boy and girl of Gryffindor, Tamsin Applebee and Anthony Rickett will be head girl and boy of Hufflepuff and Y/N Y/L and Draco Malfoy will be head girl and boy of Slytherin.'

You looked up in surprise and looked at Draco. The entire hall fell quiet and looked at you two. Then the Slytherin table start screaming that they wanted someone else. You sighed and looked at the floor.

'Silence please!' McGonagall hissed.

Everyone became quiet and focused on her. You swallowed and looked up.

'This decision is final. If they weren't trustable, we wouldn't have let them come back to Hogwarts. I expect you all to stop this nonsense against students. Former death eater or not. The war is over... We should all work together to get everyone through this time.'

'Okay first years, follow me.' Draco sighed.

The first years stared at you and followed you. You led them to the dungeons. You entered the common room.

'Welcome to the Slytherin common room. Girls dormitories are to the left, boys dormitories are to the right. Your stuff has already been brought there.' Draco spoke.

The students left to their room. You looked at Draco.

'We are head boy and girl? Seriously? How did that happen?'

'Ask McGonagall.' Draco grinned.

Draco kissed you and tangled his fingers with yours. You pulled back and smiled at him.

'I'm going to bed. I love you.' You smiled.

'Can't I join?' He asked.

'Pansy didn't return to Hogwarts. I probably have a new roommate...'

'So?'

'I want to get to know her first before dragging my boyfriend up to sleep with me.'

Draco sighed.

'But I missed you.' He whined.

You gave him one last kiss.

'Soon Draco.' You smiled. 

'Alright... goodbye beauty.'

You blushed and walked towards you room. You took a deep breath and opened the door. You saw a girl with red hair sitting on Pansys bed in her pajamas. You walked in and didn't know whether or not you had to talk to her... what if she was like the rest?

'Hi.' She smiled. 'Y/N... right?' She asked.

She was clearly scottish... not that you mind. You turned around and nodded.

'I'm Laurie, pleasure to meet you.'

Her eyes had a colour of yellow and green in them.

'Are you joking..?' You asked in confusion.

'Joking? I didn't know that that was funny...'

'No... I just... you know that I'm a death eater right?'

'You were a death eater. That's the past. McGonagall could trust you and your boyfriend, so why would we even try to doubt her.' She smiled.

'I can't even tell you how happy that makes me.' You sighed in relief and you sat down on the bed.

'Not many people seem to actually like it that you two are back... I don't get why.'

'Because I betrayed Hogwarts... twice.'

'That's a bit hyperbolic isn't it?' She asked.

'No it isn't... I ran away after Voldemort died and joined the death eaters, then I almost died because I betrayed the death eaters, and then I chose his side again because I promised Draco to stay with him until the end... so I basically betrayed Hogwarts twice... and I might have killed someone..'

'I don't care Y/N. You probably didn't have a choice.'

She laid down under her bed sheets. You stared at her. She looked at you.

'What?' She asked. 

'You're confusing me.'

'Do you want me to hate you?'

You shook your head and grabbed your pajamas from your luggage. You got dressed.

'Is that your gray, inactive dark mark?' She asked in awe.

You pulled your shirt down and looked at her. You nodded and sighed.

'This will never dissappear.'

'It's cool... I've always been interested in the dark forces and the history. I'm studying it actually.'

'Really?'

'Yes... I don't want to bother you... but, what was Voldemort like?'

'Voldemort? I didn't really talk to him properly... he was a bit of a big shot, loved to give orders... he could be really cruel from time to time.'

You sat down on your bed and yawned. There was a knock on the door.

'Yes?'

The door opened and you saw Draco. You got up and walked towards him.

'What are you doing here?' You smiled.

'You forgot you coat downstairs.' He smiled while showing it to you. 'I thought you might want it for tomorrow.'

You smiled and grabbed the coat.

'Draco, this is my new roommate Laurie.' You smiled.

'Hi.' She smiled.

'Nice to meet you.' He spoke. 'Goodnight... I'll see you tomorrow.'

He kissed him and he kissed you back. You wrapped your arms around his neck.

'I will sleep with you soon.' You whispered in his ear.

'I hope so... I love you.'

'I love you too.' You blushed.

He let you go and kissed your forehead before leaving. You smiled and closed the door. You sat back on the bed.

'You two are cute together.' Laurie spoke.

'We love each other... we've been through a lot.'

You laid down and pulled the sheets over your shoulder.

'He can sleep here if you want to. That's fine by me.' She spoke.

'I just wanted to get to know you first before immediately taking my boyfriend with me.' You grinned before switching off the lights.

'Goodnight.' Laurie yawned.

'Goodnight.'

You woke up. Your heart was racing, your heart was beating fast and you had problem breathing. You looked at Laurie who was, luckily, still asleep. You sat up and wiped the sweat from your forehead. You got up and quietly walked out of your room towards the common room and when you entered you switched on a light. You sat down for a moment.

You were done with these nightmares. You moved your hand through your hair and stared at the floor.

'Can't you sleep? Not that's it's a problem... I haven't slept in days.'

You looked up and saw Draco.

'Nightmare... I'm so done with these nightmares. It's really tiring.' He sat down besides you. 'Why haven't you slept?' You asked.

'I was worried... I didn't know whether or not you were alive. Every time I would go to bed and it was completely quiet... I couldn't help but think about you and what could have happened.'

'But you know that I'm fine. So why can't you sleep?' You asked.

'I don't know... I just can't stop worrying. I almost lost you in that war. It's been hard. My parents had so many fights... my mother can't handle the stress and my father's lack of emotions anymore... I thought she was going to divorce him. She didn't... but I thought that it would happen.'

'Really? I'm sorry to hear that... she saved me. I never got the chance to thank her. Is she doing better?'

Draco just nodded and pulled you against him. He held you tight and you placed your head on his shoulder.

'I never want to leave your side again. I don't think I can sleep until you lay besides me.'

'Don't you think you worry a bit to much? I'm fine... these nightmares will dissappear eventually, I will pass this year, I met a new girl who's really nice...'

'Do you think I worry to much?' He asked.

'I don't know. I just want you to take care of yourself first. Go to sleep... make sure you wake up in time for potions.'

He nodded and kissed you.

'Goodnight... just close your eyes and know that I'm okay.' You smiled.

'I will... goodbye love.'

He got up and walked back towards his room. If anyone should be worried... it had to be you. Draco didn't sleep, didn't eat that much, didn't smile as much. You sighed and got up. You walked back towards your room and laid down in your bed. You closed your eyes and fell asleep.
