12 ~ the time has come
- it's 2 weeks later now... just so you know -
'I am... so tired.' You complained to Draco while sitting down in the potions classroom.
'Agree...' he sighed.
You've been up late for the past few weeks. You just had to much fun wondering around school. Sitting at the lake, making epic snowmans, sneaking into the potions classroom to see if you could find some potions to have fun with. It was great.
'Let's just go to bed in time.' You sighed.
Draco nodded and sighed while Snape walked in. He start explaining. You sighed and laid your head on your arms. You were sitting at the back anyways. You felt like you could fall asleep right there. Draco tapped your arm. You looked up and saw Snape glancing at you. You quickly sat up and grabbed your quill. He continued.
'Stupid class.' You whispered in a sigh.
'Indeed.' Draco sighed.
Draco stretched and sat back. You rubbed your eyes and yawned. You had a huge lack of sleep. It was so stupid to be up so late when school just started again. You put your elbow on the table and leaned your head on it. You stared at the professor but couldn't get any information in. You grabbed your quill and tried to make notes. You dropped your quill again and gave up.
'We have a free period after this... let's sit at the lake and try to rest a bit.' Draco whispered.
You nodded and waited for the class to end.
-
'Class dismissed.' Snape spoke.
You got up and slowly walked towards the lake. The snow was slowly melting already. You walked towards the tree and sat down with a sigh. Draco sat down beside you and Gregory and Vincent gathered around. They just stared at the ground with big bags under their eyes.
You sighed and laid your head back. Draco touched your shoulder. You looked up and he opened his arm so you could lay down against him. He wrapped his arm around you and you closed your eyes while heat spread across your body. You placed your head partly on his chest and heard his heart beat. It calmed you down and you almost fell asleep.
'You guys are so boring.' Pansy spoke.
You opened your eyes and sighed.
'You are just one bomb of energy, aren't you?' You complained.
'Well I'm sorry. I don't need much sleep.'
You sighed and rolled your eyes. You looked up and saw that Draco had fallen asleep. You smiled and the cute view of Draco laying there with his head against the tree and his mouth a bit open.
'Draco is gone.' Gregory grinned.
'Is that crazy? We've been awake until 2 in the morning. That for a week or two.' Vincent sighed.
'We have to stop these late night activities.'
'No way!' Pansy yelled a little to loud.
Draco opened his eyes. You looked at him. He closed his eyes and fell asleep almost immediately. You grinned and laid your head down again.
'Pansy, it's going to have its effects on us. We're so tired.' You spoke.
'But it's so much fun.' She sighed.
'We know. But we will do it more often, but not every night.' Vincent yawned.
- at dinner -
'Let's go to the lake!' Pansy enthusiastically said.
You sighed and yawned.
'Can't we just go to bed early? We've been up late... I'm tired.' Gregory complained.
'Argee.' You said while leaning your head on your hand.
Pansy sighed.
'Aren't you tired... like at all?' Draco asked.
She shook her head and sighed. Draco got up and you followed. You and your friends started moving towards the dungeons. You sighed and moved your hand through your hair. Draco quickly grabbed your wrist and pulled the sleeve if your robes down. You looked at him in confusion. He just looked ahead and you entered the common room.
'Good night.' You smiled while putting your coat away and motioning towards the stairs.
Draco grabbed your arm and pulled you back.
'We have to talk.' He whispered in your ear.
His breathe made your skin tikkle.
'Aren't you tired?' You asked.
'This is important.' He said while dragging you outside.
You immediately got goosebumps as the wind went past your robes.
'Pull your sleeve up. Of your left arm.' He spoke.
You grabbed your sleeve in confusion and pulled it up while looking at him. He grabbed your arm. You looked at it and your eye widened.
'T-That wasn't there this morning!' You said in panick.
You pulled your arm back and looked at the mark on your arm. It was so... so ugly. So evil.
'Please tell me I'm dreaming... Please tell me this isn't true!' You said while tears came up in your eyes.
Draco hugged you tightly. You hugged him back. You became a killer... A monster... from this day on you would be evil. That thought made tears escape and you started crying. He pulled back and wiped some tears from your cheeks. He grabbed your hand and made you sit down in the snow. He sat down beside you.
'The moment of truth...' he sighed while putting of his coat.
He grabbed his robes sleeve. He pulled them up... The mark was there. Same length, same arm. He sighed and put his sleeve back. You rubbed your arms against the cold while you tried to calm down. It didn't really work.
Your parents said they would take care of it... you weren't ready. You would never be ready. Now your life would change into a mess. You had to be careful so no one would find out... luckly you weren't alone.
Suddenly you felt something wrap around you shoulders. You saw that Draco put his coat over your shoulder before sitting down.
'We're in this together... I won't leave you alone in this.' He said while pulling you against him.
'I just can't believe it... I wasn't a death eater this morning... and now I suddenly am. I'm not evil... This is not me.' You sighed while laying your head on his shoulder.
'I know you aren't... believe me.' He spoke.
You looked at the view and sighed. You grabbed some snow and put it on the dark mark slowly rubbing it over it hoping it would just wash off. You sighed in frustration and buried your head in his shoulder and neck.
'I can't believe this is happening.' You mumbled.
'It's so unreal... but we're lucky that we're friends. We can get through this together. We just have to make sure to hide it well.'
You sighed and sat up a bit.
'We have to go back...' Draco sighed. 'What do we tell our friends?'
You shrugged and rubbed your eyes.
'Does it look like I cried?'
He looked and you and shook his head. You sighed and started thinking about an excuse to tell your friends.
'Well what we tell them.' Draco sighed while getting up.
You didn't want to go yet. Just some time alone with him felt nice. You felt like you could share everything with him. You were having a difficult time and you just needed him to comfort you.
'I don't want to go yet.' You spoke.
Draco looked at you.
'Why not? You looked tired. Maybe you just need some sleep and we'll talk tomorrow.'
'I am tired... but I don't feel like sleeping. Not yet.'
Draco sighed and offert you his hand.
'Come on, I know your in shock but maybe sleep will help.'
You grabbed his hand with a sigh. He helped you up and you gave him his coat back. He grabbed it and put it on. You sighed and put down your robes sleeves.
'You're going to be fine. Promise.' He said while you started walking towards the common room.
'Draco... If Pansy finds out-'
He stopped you and looked at you.
'Calm down. Relax a bit. Just get dressed in the bathroom and wear long sleeved shirts. We'll talk about this tomorrow.'
You sighed and nodded...
