"Maqui! Mi amor! Cómo estás mami?"

Marc asking how are you? While opening the door made me feel like home, how I miss this! My Boricuan Family. I hugged him dearly and introduced him to Jamie.

"So, this is the infamous Jamie Dornan, nice to meet you man! Relax! I got your back!"

Jamie swallowed hard and gave me a 'what the fuck?' look.

"Relax amor! Marc is just playing. Be nice Marc! Comportate!"

"Are they here???? Tia Maqui!!!!!"

I bent to pick Max up and wrapped him in a hug.

"Hello handsome! How are you??? You've grown so much since Christmas!!"

He smiled at me and I could see Marc in that smile.

"Emme? Ven hija! Tía Maqui llegó!"

A beautiful Jenny was calling out Emme to come see me. Oh Gosh! My sister! How I've missed her!!

"You're weird when you talk in Spanish to them"

"You're more weird when you don't"

I hugged Jenny tightly. Although I talk to her almost every day, I miss her hugs and our friendship.

"What happened? Are you ok? You look pale!"

"I'm completely fine mom!"

I mucked her and introduced her to Jamie, my poor baby was a little self-conscious.

"Jenny, let me introduce you to my love Jamie Dornan. Jamie, this is Jennifer Lopez."

"We finally meet"

Jamie gave her his best smile and I could see Jenny being affected by his beauty. Indeed sissy! He's a Greek God! My Greek God.

Jenny approached him and wrapped him in a hug.

"So you're the one responsible for my best friend's happiness"

"I hope I am"

She looked at him as if elaborating her response.

"Good answer! Maqui, Mario was right, he's as handsome as the devil"

I laughed remembering my conversation with Mario back in Rio. Jamie looked not so happy with the comparison. I held his arm and squeezed it.

"Don't worry baby! That is good"

"Are we all going to stay here or can we come in??"

Marc pointed out while carrying Max over his shoulder as if he was a sack of potatoes.

"Where's Emme?"

I asked Jenny a little worried about my princess.

"Applying some makeup on, she'll be down soon. So Jamie have you ever eaten Puerto Rican food?"

"I'm afraid I haven't but Maca tells me it's delicious"

"It is! I had my cook make the essentials for you both"

"By essentials you mean Arroz con Gandules?"

I asked eagerly, my favorite dish.

"Yeah baby! And some Pavochon! Which is turkey made in the same marinate we use in pork. Why do you think I am here?"

Marc pointed out making me giggle. Jenny's cook used to be Marc's before he met her, she kept the cook at their divorce saying it was for the kids' best interests. Yeah right!

"And to think I was married to this man! What would you like to drink Jamie?"

"A beer would be fine"

"Oh beer! How Irish! Thank Goodness Marc here made me buy some Guiness"

"That's very kind of you!"

Gosh! Jamie is way cuter when he's that polite. I was dreamily looking at him when Jenny interrupted me.

"Are we having our usual?"

"Yeap!"

"Is that tequila?"

Jamie asked with humor in his eyes, the last time I drank with Jenny we had an entire bottle of Patron and Jamie nursed my hang over.
Jenny laughed remembering that night.

"You know Jamie, that night was the best we've had so far,we laughed, we cried, we danced, we drank and at the end of the night you got her back"

"I recall that night as if it was yesterday. And I have to thank you and Eloise for that"

"I knew you guys were involved in his showing up at my doorstep"

"Oh com'on!!! Admit it!! You loved the surprise!!!

"That I did!"

I rubbed Jamie's leg, making him feel how much I love him. He was going to kiss me when we were interrupted by an over excited Emme.

"Tia Maqui!!!! You're here!!"

"Hello beautiful!"

Emme was wearing a beautiful dress but she had put so much makeup on that I had to grab a napkin and remove some explaining her that the less the better is always a good judgement when applying makeup. Jamie was eyeing me with a goofy smile on his face. When I sat next to him he whispered in my ear.

"You look beautiful tonight, after the shopping we were running, trying to get here on time and I didn't have the chance to tell you how lovely you look"

"Thank you! You're not too bad yourself"

He kissed me on the lips and started talking to Marc. Jenny approached me and handed me some Coquito, it's a delicious Coconut egg-nog rum, this is a traditional Christmas or Thanksgiving drink but whenever we had Puerto Rican food we had Coquito, my favorite!

"Thank you love. So??? What do you think so far??"

"I think he loves you. And he's ridiculously handsome"

I laughed. That's so Jenny.

"So, when are you leaving to Ireland?"

"Tomorrow night, we finished our business in Katonah earlier so I changed our tickets' dates so he can spend more time with his family"

"What a great girlfriend you are"

"He ain't a bad boyfriend"

"I can see that. Look, I'm happy to see you this happy. I know you, I know there's something going on in that hard head of yours, whatever it is, stop it now, you're a grown woman and can handle the situation with his baby, you are awesome with kids, you'll be an outstanding stepmom and when time comes and when you and if you guys are ready, you'll have a baby of your own. Don't rush things. You guys are very cute together and if you are meant to be together you will be. Relax and enjoy being loved."

"Fuck! I hate that you can read me so well!!"

"That I can do!"

She gave me her million dollars smile and embraced me in a tight hug. We were interrupted by her butler announcing that dinner was ready. I wiped a tear from the corner of my eye and decided to leave my doubts behind and follow Jenny's advice, I should enjoy my relationship and not double guess it.

Dinner was amazing! Jamie loved the rice, I loved every single dish, as always Jenny outdid herself, the woman can surely plan a dinner.

"Jamie, do you know that Maqui can sing?"

A tipsy Marc asked wiggling his eyebrows to me.

"Yeah, actually, we went to a karaoke bar and she sang beautifully"

"Jamie can sing too. Actually, he had a band!"

I informed Marc, and now it was my turn to wiggle my eyebrows.

"Cool Jamie! Now you're part of this family, let's have a karaoke contest!!"

"Ok! Just let me put the kids in bed"

"I'll go with you"

Jenny and I went to put the kids in bed and let the boys play with their technology. This night wasn't going to be finished so soon.
