🦁12 - Twelve🐍 Harry

Okay yes there are quite a few things I left out when telling Draco about my life. In all fairness I didn't think he would last this long. I have to give him props for not loosing his shit. Especially with Dumb-ass-adore. He even took Blaise finding out with an air of "It doesn't matter" when I could see that it did. We were both reluctant to restrain Blaise, but we knew we had to.

"You have to ask Hermione for a solution." I urged.

"Why does it matter?" He asked.

"Are you ready for everyone to find out?" I asked.

He shrugged. "I guess not."

It had taken about a week and a few days for us to finally get a solution. I placed Blaise under something similar to a sleeping beauty spell. When we did the memory spell I helped a sleepy Blaise walk back to the dorms.

Draco and I had decided to tell everyone that Blaise had gotten sick so he was staying in bed. Crabbe and Goyal didn't say anything after I threatened them. So everyone just believed he was already in the dorms.

"Hey Blaise. I do need your help here." I whispered as we walked.

He mumbled and tried to snuggle up to me. It was the cutest thing ever, but he was kind of heavy and I didn't want to trip with him while walking down the stairs. I shook him a bit more to get him a little more awake. He yawned, blinked then slightly straightened himself up.

'You have absolutely no idea how cute you look right now.' I thought with a smile. Every few minutes I had to shake Blaise awake since he'd try to snuggle up to me every so often. It was pulling at my heartstrings so much and I wish that I could just... well kiss him.

"Draaacooo?" Blaise slurred sleepily.

"Yeah Blaise. We're almost to your bed. Just hang on a little longer." I whispered.

"Hmmkay." Blaise yawned.

I laid him down on his bed and tucked him in. I whispered a goodnight and kissed his forehead. 'Wait! What? You fucking idiot! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!' I wanted to scream at how stupid I was. I looked at Blaise and he didn't seem bothered by it. I sighed heavily and climbed into bed.

The next morning Blaise woke up with a burning fever. I insisted he remained in bed and offered to get him a pepper up potion. He protested a bit, but I won whatever argument he was trying to start. He knew he wasn't fit to go to class yet.

Thankfully two days later he was feeling better. Pansy stopped nagging me about him as well. Instead she started nagging me about making amends with Harry. Blaise jumped on that wagon immediately and joined in.

"Will you two just can it! Sweet Merlin's beard!" I yelled.

"But Dray! I told you why I wish you would make amends." Pansy pouted.

"Yeah your little crush on the Weasel." I snorted.

I reached for the door to potions when...

"Malfoy!"

Of course non other than Draco had to show up. When he gave me that same old, "wrong sort" speech I couldn't help the response I gave. We both started laughing and I was surprised Ron remembered that incident.

Dear Harry,

Since the start of Hogwarts I have been left in the Black estate by myself. Remus had explained to me what you said in your letter. I must say I am happy you know the truth.

I hope you know you can trust me. I hope to see you this Christmas holiday. Please write back as soon as you can.

Sirius Black

Harry,

I didn't get a response and was wondering if you had gotten my last letter. In case you didn't I enchanted this one.

If Dumbledore reads this he will not be able to get past the initial title. No matter what spell he uses. Please take care and stay observant.

Sirius Black

I smiled after reading the letters. I didn't get them because the bird had gone to Draco. I sat down in my little corner in the library and wrote out my responses. Blaise had gone to find some books. Since I was helping him catch up on what he missed out.

Sirius,

Sorry for not responding sooner. I have been... well busy. It's complicated to explain over a letter and hopefully soon you will know why.

I will not be able to join you for the Christmas break. Again it's complicated and hopefully soon you will understand why.

~H

~~~~~~~~~~
Sirius,
Dumbledore doesn't know that you are sending letters. I don't expect he will find out soon. Please don't expect immediate responses either.
I hope to see you some time.
~H
"What are you doing?"
I looked up. "Oh nothing, just responding to letters."
"From your father?"
"No he hasn't sent anything. Don't worry about it Blaise. Have you got what you need?" I asked.
He nodded and we sat down to do the work together. I had to make sure not to write anything for him while I was explaining. It was actually hard since I was used to doing similar stuff with Ron. Surprisingly Blaise didn't question that I wasn't writing anything.
We spent the whole Saturday in the library. I spotted Draco sneaking in. He went down an isle opposite to where I was sitting with Blaise. Blaise had his back facing that way so he didn't see him. Draco pulled out what seemed to be a well hidden book. I stood up and turned to Blaise.
"I'll be back in a bit just want to check something." I said.
Blaise just nodded and carried on. I walked over to Draco as sneakily as possible.
"What you got there?" I asked.
Draco looked up shocked. "A journal. Can't exactly talk to my friends about stuff."
I shrugged. "Sorry about that. Can I see?"
"You wouldn't understand. It's written in Italian. For a reason." Draco said.
"Okay well I should go back before Blaise starts questioning where I went." I smiled.
"Do we really have to be ducking?" Draco frowned.
I shrugged again. "You know Blaise likes me. Do you want him to come over here?"
Draco's eyes went wide. "No! Go. Bye."
I laughed and went back to Blaise. We finished up the work just as Pansy came into the library looking for us. She seemed extremely upset about something. She dragged us out while we tried to make sure we had everything.
"I Hate The Witch Granger!" Pansy all but yelled as soon as we were out of the library.
I sighed. "Care to explain?"
Pansy grumbled. "Always hanging on Weasley and laughing with him like they're some sort of couple. I hate her!"
Pansy went on with her rant as we were walking towards the courtyard. She was in front of Blaise and I and we didn't say anything while she complained. Then she stopped dead. Blaise and I shared a questioning look. Then Pansy grabbed my collar and pulled me towards her. She planted a rough kiss on my lips. I pushed her away with a scowl, about to scold her when I heard a short gasp and retreating steps.
"What the hell Pansy?!" I whisper yelled still in shock.
"Oh nothing." Pansy said and walked off.
"Not nothing!" Blaise yelled following her. "You did that on purpose! Why would you risk them hating us again."
"I did nothing!" Pansy yelled back.
"Like hell Pansy!" I responded and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Blaise and Pansy yelled.
"To be alone. Don't follow me." I growled back in a warning tone.
I made my way to the Astronomy tower. I checked the potion and leaned against the railing with a sigh. 'What on earth was she thinking!?' I had to be alone because my anger was on the edge of bubbling. My reasoning was fighting with my emotions.
I don't even know what happened. The next thing I realized Draco was standing next to me waving his hand in my face. I blinked a few times before registering my surroundings.
"Care to explain?" Draco sighed.
"Pansy." Was all I responded.
Draco handed me the plate he brought. "You missed dinner. Hermione was worried."
I grunted. "Even though she saw Pansy kissing me?"
Draco's face went pale and eyes wide. "Does she feel that strong towards me?"
"Yeah. Just do me a favor. Mione will probably tell you what happened later. I need you to start a fight." I said.
"Why?"
"Because I've been wanting to kill someone since." I answered.
"Ahhh your infamous fury. Okay I'll do as you say." Draco shrugged.
"Sorry if I'm asking too much." I sighed. "I'm going to head back now."
"It's okay. Sleep well." Draco said.
I walked slowly towards the Slytherin common room. My mind still running over what happened. I have come to know that Pansy is rather eccentric and over the top, but what she did really rubbed me up the wrong way. I think maybe because Hermione and Ron are my best mates.
"Hey Draco. Where did you go?"
"Don't worry Blaise." I sighed.
"What Pansy did was wrong. She knows how you feel about Hermione." Blaise said.
"Never mind that. Night Blaise." I said and climbed into bed.
*~*
"Hey Malfoy!"
I turned around and a fist connected with my face. I fell to the floor. Blaise and Pansy stepped back. I shook my head and looked up.
"Harry! I said don't do anything!" Hermione yelled.
"I extend a hand of friendship and you just throw it in my face." Draco yelled ignoring Hermione.
"Oh shut up Potter! You don't know what happened." I yelled back and jumped to my feet.
"Then why don't you explain." He yelled back.
"You're not worth my time. I have class." I said and walked off.
"Malfoy!" Draco yelled.
"Library free period. I'll give you your damn explanation Pothead." I yelled over my shoulder.
I sighed slightly relieved. 'Suppose I didn't need to hurt someone. Someone needed to hurt me.' Oddly enough having Draco hit me made me feel better. I thought about it a bit more and realized I was also angry the Blaise was right there when Pansy pulled that stunt.
During my free period, as promised, I met up with Draco. We didn't talk about what happened because we had touched on it the night before. Instead we spoke about how we can rectify our little problem. Hermione and Ron showed up a few minutes into our conversation and stood there quite confused.
"Come now don't be like that." Draco said.
"I'm not being like anything. You just need better glasses." I responded.
Draco laughed. "You just need new hair gell prat."
I smirked. "You should try some hair gell. That hair is like a mop."
"I'd like to see you try tame it Malfoy." Draco huffed.
"Challenge accepted Potter." I grinned. "Come to the Slytherin common room after dinner."
"No how about you come to Gryffindor." Draco countered.
"You Gryffindor's are supposed to be brave. But fine I'll come. I'll hex whoever tries anything." I shrugged.
"You're inviting him to our common room after what just happened." Ron asked rather angry.
"Ron we agreed to put our feud behind us. Besides he explained that Parkinson was acting out and he had no idea what she was going to do." Draco shrugged.
"Pansy knows I like someone else anyway." I said with a shrug. "I also spoke to her about it before coming here."
"Well anyway shouldn't you be going to class?" Draco asked me.
I nodded my head. "See you later Potter."
Draco smiled. "Later prat."
I walked out of the library to find Blaise and Pansy arguing. I groaned and hit Blaise over the head then scolded Pansy. We walked to Herbology in relative silence. Pansy apologizing every so often for what she did. I ignored her and Blaise did too. There was nothing I could say to her at the moment since I knew her actions were out of jealousy. I stopped and turned in front of the class door.
"I'm leaving with Potter after dinner don't wait up." I said and entered the class.
*~*
As expected the Gryffindor's weren't very welcoming to a Slytherin, especially Draco Malfoy. I couldn't help but smile at the idea of them finding out Draco had been with them for the term. Draco "led" me to the couch in front of the fire. We sat and spoke for a few minutes before I pulled out some gell and a brush.
"I don't want too much gell in my hair Malfoy." Draco said.
"Shut it Potter. I know what I'm doing." I responded.
We had an audience as I started doing his hair. Hermione watched over the top of her book. She was staring at me rather than paying attention to what I was doing. I had to admit it was somewhat weird for me and I could tell Draco was slightly jealous. However, he and I both knew that there really was nothing for him to be jealous about.
"There. Done." I said and produced a mirror.
"Wow it's actually... tamer than usual." Draco smirked.
"You're welcome Potter. Still on for tomorrow?" I asked.
"Isn't our final potions thing tomorrow."
I mentally slapped myself. "Oh Merlin. Got to go bye."
With that I rushed out of the room. I was so silly to forget. I scolded myself as I ran to the Slytherin dorms. Panting I laid down next to Blaise.
"So you remembered."
"Sorry Blaise." I sighed.
Blaise shrugged. "It's okay. I know after what Pansy did you had to build bridges again. I'm happy you did actually."
I shrugged. "Yeah but you're my friend and you should be first priority."
"It's okay seriously. We'll just have to pull an all-nighter." He smiled.
"Again I'm sorry. Let's get to it then." I said.
I had promised Blaise to help him prepare for the potion thing tomorrow. He was going to actually make it with Ron since they were partners, but he was still a little ways behind and needed to be all caught up by that lesson. We were up until about 2 in the morning working on the notes. I even gave Blaise a few tips and ideas for class.
"Thanks Draco." Blaise mumbled sleepy.
"No problem. Get some rest." I yawned.
