🐍11 - Eleven🦁 Draco
Snape had been watching us like a hawk. Our potion project had been improving with every class. I suppose he was more suspicious because I was the one making it. Actually last week Harry had insisted on it. He felt guilty and, once again, I had to remind him why he was the one making all the potions. He shrugged it off, so here we were.
I was stirring the potion with Snape standing right above me. I wasn't phased by it one bit, but seeing as I am not me I had to act scared. The funny thing was my current shaking was because Harry mumbled something just before Snape came over. I was trying not to laugh.
"Seems you have... improved." Snape drawled and walked off grumbling.
"Grit." I mumbled.
Class was over and we were the only pair with a perfect potion. I didn't expect anything less since both Harry and I were excellent at potions. I packed my stuff and was walking off with Weasley and Hermione. When I was called and we all spun around.
"Potter! I'm not one to chase people when they forget something. But I'd also not have Professor Snape complaining about my manners." Harry shouted.
I rolled my eyes. "What are you on about Malfoy?"
He produced a flask from what seemed to be the seat. I knew it was from his robes though.
"Looking to use a love potion on someone are we Potter." He snickered.
I acted panicked. It was relatively easy since I was a little panicked someone would find out the truth. I grabbed the flask and shoved it into my bag with a frown.
"That's none of your business you prat! Why do you keep stealing my stuff." I growled.
He fake gasped. "I'll have you know you irresponsible git, Malfoy's do NOT steal."
He walked off with a huff. Ron and Hermione turned to me and I rolled my eyes. We went to History class without another word. Out of the corner of my eye I watched Hermione look after Harry and sigh. My mind drew a few strange conclusions, but I ignored it.

"Hermione I have a question."
"What is it Harry?" She put her book down.
Ron moved his attention from the chessboard and so did Weaslette. I rolled my eyes internally at them. 'Nosey gingers.' I thought. 'wait when did Weasley become Ron... agh! Whatever.'
I cleared my throat. "Say you want to put a block on someone's memory. Without actually oblivating them. What spell would be best suited?"
Ron frowned. "Why on earth would you want to do that? I mean seriously Harry..."
"Hey Harry!"
"We have something"
"For you"
"From an admirer."
"It seems." Fred and George said cutting off Ron.
I jumped a bit. "What are you talking about?"
They pulled out a parchment and cleared their throats.
I have another problem. Need to speak to you in private immediately. Please meet me in the spot later tonight. I'm going to be there in a few minutes from now to check on our thing. And please can you bring a book or something from you know to fix my roommate problem.
I knew who it was from even if it wasn't signed. I was happy he didn't mention any names either. Maybe he was with someone and couldn't write the names? Either way I frowned at the twins for reading it aloud. 'Did they have to do this in front of everyone?' The whole common room had gone quiet.
Weaslette screeched. "Is that from that bimbo you've been seeing behind my back!"
"Merlin Ginny. For the hundredth time. I don't like you. Never had feelings for you. The person I like is a guy. So bimbo hardly applies. We're not dating and we never will. How dense are you." I stated as calmly as I could.
"Is that why you want to know about that spell?" Hermione asked.
'Bless her smart, beautiful mind.' I nodded my head fighting to hide my admiration for her. Ron frowned and the twins handed me the note. I got attacked by questions of course. In the end Hermione handed me a book with three spells marked. She explained each and the level of effectiveness for separate occasions.

"Harry my boy! Have you given what we spoke about any thought?" Dumbledore asked.
"I really don't want to do anything like that. I don't want to be a part of this war." I sighed.
He smiled at me. "But you have to get revenge for your parents and the prophecy was about you. You want Hogwarts to suffer do you?"
"Another week please sir. This is a big decision." I said trying to stall the old man.
"Sure my boy. Think it over carefully and remember what happened with Cedric 2 years ago." Dumbledore smiled.
I left his office fuming. 'That vile old man was trying to manipulate Harry. How has Harry not noticed this? He's worse than my damn father. I thought things were tough for me, but Harry was having a ball with my life. I hardly ever had time to myself as him. Every corner every step, I was watched or swarmed. It was only at night, when we were at the Astronomy tower, did I really feel relaxed.
I felt awful assuming his life was so grand. He seemed to thrive more as me than himself. I could definitely tell he was happier. The shine in his eye was constantly there although he hid it like a pro. I wondered if he knew about being manipulated by that old fool. I'd have to ask him, but I don't doubt he knows. After all he is extremely observant about his surroundings.
"Harry!"
I turned around. Hermione was walking towards me. It seemed after a month and a half of being called Harry I was finally getting used to it. I smiled at Hermione.
"Hey Mione." I said.
"Harry I have to warn you. I heard Malfoy planning something with Blaise." Hermione said.
I frowned. "What? When?"
"I don't know what it is. But he was telling Blaise to just wait a little longer. I'm sure he's planning something." She sighed.
I looked at her. "Hermione? You seem more upset than usual."
"I thought he could change you know." She shrugged.
"Who? Malfoy?" I asked
She nodded. "I mean he didn't tell the whole school about the flask thing. You guys haven't fought in potions which is good also. So I thought he could change. Or is changing."
I smiled a bit. 'Could she like me?' "Hermione what's really bothering you about it?"
"I like him Harry. Don't hate me please, but he's so... pretty? No not pretty. He's like a veela you know." She ranted on.
"Hermione. I think Ron would be upset if he heard, but I support you. Just maybe try to let Ron down easy you know." I couldn't stop smiling.
"Ron knows. We don't like each other like that Harry. I thought you knew." Hermione said.
I acted surprised. "You told Ron before me!"
Hermione shrugged. "We both have a Slytherin love interest. And you and Malfoy are always fighting so..."
"I understand." I smiled at her.

Laughter filled the chilly night air. It was hearty laughter filled with joy.
"Hey don't tease me Potter." I grumbled.
"Come on Malfoy. You sound like a kid on Christmas." He laughed.
I frowned. "You have Blaise. And now I have Hermione. What's so wrong about being happy for that?"
Harry shook his head. "Nothing I'm glad actually. All we need to do now is get Ron and Pansy together. Hey what's that on your bicep?"
"That wasn't there before we swapped?" I asked.
"No Draco. I never had any tattoos." Harry frowned.
I lifted my sleeve properly for him to see it. I thought it was neat really. It was a miniature dragon. It was constantly breathing fire, but when I stroked it, it turned into a ball and basically went to sleep. It turned red when I was angry, but was basically a steel grey the rest of the time. Harry laughed and shook his head.
"You like it don't you?" He said. "I told you tell me if you got any weird marks didn't I."
I nodded. "Yeah I like it so what."
Harry smiled. "I know why we got the tattoos."
I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Why?"
"The ingredients from the potions. The voice changing ome and the extended polyjuice ingredients. The tattoo seems to be a side effect." Harry explained as he stirred the potion.
"Can you believe we've been doing this for almost two months?" I sighed.
He nodded. "So tell me, how's life as 'saint Potter'?"
"Horrible really. I don't know how you do it every day. How's life as Draco Malfoy?" I smirked.
"I'm loving it honestly. Besides the wholefather thing. You have a great bunch of friends. Blaise is especially adorable." Harry smiled.
"Speaking of. Here's the book." He looked up and took it. "I guess we only have a problem with Weaselette after this."
"I feel really bad. I don't want to hurt Blaise." Harry sighed as he flipped through the pages.
"Let's just go do this. He's my best mate so I'm not exactly on board either." I said.
Harry nodded. We had basically tied Blaise up under the stairs of the Astronomy tower. We couldn't risk him telling anyone, especially Pansy. Harry seemed to keep him asleep as much as possible. I could tell the whole thing was making him upset.
"So this batch will last for 8 hours, but we have a 30 minute interchange." Harry finally said. "Let's get this over with so I can get Blaise to bed."
I nodded my head. "You really like him huh? Well I couldn't ask for anyone better to take care of him. I'm going to head back immediately after because Hermione wanted to talk."

Days went on as normal. Next week would be the start of our third month with this charade. I know it's kind of stupid to write about such things, but as "Harry Potter" I can't really talk to my friends about it.
Harry and I had spent two more consecutive nights in the Astronomy tower. We spoke about my meetings with Dumbledore. Harry also spoke about how Blaise was doing. Apparently the spell gave him a fever but he kept insisting he was fine. Typical Blaise and his macho act.
"I think we should officially snuff out our feud. It's hurting both our friends." Harry sighed. "I knew Hermione liked you since fourth year."
"And you didn't tell me!" I yelled.
"There was no point if she couldn't admit it." Harry said.
I shrugged. It was a fair point. And we were trying not to draw suspicion. I made a mental note to ask Hermione about the spell.
"Two full months. I guess we really did survive being each other for a month." Harry laughed.
"Yes it seems so. I do, however, have a lot more respect for you. I'm all but going mad not having peace and quiet." I laughed.
"Imagine if you were 11 and knew nothing about this world." Harry grimaced.
I couldn't help but laugh at the reaction. Yes it made so much more sense now. He was much stronger than I gave him credit for.
"Oh by the way. Why is Sirius Black sending you letters?" I said handing him the mini stack.
"He's my godfather." Harry responded nonchalantly with a shrug.
I almost fell on my ass. "What!?"
Harry laughed. "Sorry, forgot I never told you that."
"No shit Potter." I grumbled.
*~*
"Hey! Malfoy!" I yelled.
We were on our way to potions, which was absolutely perfect. It had taken three days, but what better class to do it at than potions. Besides I wanted to see the look on my godfather's face.
"What do you want Potter?" Harry grumbled.
I saw Blaise standing behind him and was happy. My mate was okay and attending class again. Sure he had two weeks of school to catch up on, but he was okay.
"You wouldn't want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there." I said extending my hand.
Harry raised an eyebrow. "I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks."
He took hold of my hand and we shook. Then we burst out laughing unable to control it. The two of us ended up on the floor. Our friends looked at each other with question marks. Then they turned their attention to the two of us.
Harry collected himself first and stood up. He dusted himself off as he stood up. I followed still smiling like an idiot.
"Did you two just echo the day Harry rejected your friendship?" Ron asked.
"It would seem so." Harry responded with a smirk.
"I think this feud nonsense is rather old. Don't you agree Malfoy." I said.
"We are partners in Potions and Defense. I don't see the point in fighting all the time anymore Potter." Harry responded.
He turned on his heel and walked into class. That's when I saw the foulest scowl on my godfather's face. He didn't look pleased at all, but seeing as he was the only one to agree with me about the war, I knew it wasn't because I was on friendly terms with Harry. It was most probably because Harry was the "savior" of the Wizarding world. The poster boy for the "light" side.
Dumbledore called me to his office twice more that week. He was relentless in his attempts to get me to do as he said. It was very very alarming. I also got the feeling that Harry wasn't telling me the whole story. That annoyed me and I became determined to find out what I was missing.
I had said what Harry told me to say. As predicted, Dumbledore wasn't happy about the answer. He even went as far as blaming me for Harry "changing" his mind. All I could do was hope for Christmas to come as fast as possible.
