It was 3:55 when Mahir walked inside the cafe. The entire day he was feeling restless after Veer's sudden call. The call had really messed up his mind and peace. The seriousness in Veer's voice made Mahir to think for the worst possibilities because whenever the guy spoke seriously terrible things happen.

"Mahir here." Veer's familiar voice called out from the corner.

Mahir was quite surprised seeing Bani and Babbal there with Veer. When Veer has asked him for the meeting, he thought it was just the two of them. Shaking his head with a smile he walked towards them.

"Hey guys." Mahir greeted them as he took the empty seat next to Veer.

"Hi Mahir Bhai." Bani smiled while Babbal just nodded his head in a greeting manner. 

"Wow dude I'm surprised that you are on time but I'm really glad you could make it. I honestly thought you would be drunk by this time and would miss out on this meeting." Veer taunted with a smile.

"Veer" Mahir called out in warning tune.

"Sorry man but it was really hard to watch the good guy turning to bad especially when he is your best friend." Veer said with a sad smile.

"I'm really sorry man, I had you and everyone else worried but don't worry I would never turn to that Mahir again." Mahir said squeezing Veer's hands.

"I hope so man." Veer chuckled.

"Anyway why did you call me here man? What is so important that you couldn't even talk about it through the phone?" Mahir asked trying to change the mood.

Mahir felt his heartbeat rise seeing the expressions of everyone sitting on the table. Bani looked tensed and nervous while Veer looked serious and a bit lost but what scared him was the angry expression on Babbal's face.  

"Mahir do you trust me?" Veer asked looking straight into Mahir's eyes.

"What kind of question is that Veer? Of course I trust you." Mahir said startled.

"Even more than your brother Rocky?" Veer asked again.

"Veer for me you, Rocky and Uv are same. You three are my brothers, blood or not." Mahir stated.

"Mahir what I'm going to tell you will surely affect you relation with Rocky and I really don't want you to think I'm trying to create a rift between you and him." Veer sighed.

"Veer just tell me the matter already. You are scaring me." Mahir said panicked.

"Mahir truth to be told Rocky is not what he shows himself to be. Rocky is marrying Bela only to get revenge on you." Veer breathed out breaking the suspense.

 "What? You are kidding me right? Because the Rocky bhai, I know would never do something so irrational like that." Mahir argued refusing to believe his brother would do something like that.

"Told you both he wouldn't believe it. I don't know what my sister saw in him." Babbal scoffed glaring at Mahir.

Veer chuckled hearing Babbal while Mahir's cheeks turned bright pink due to embarrassment.

"Babbal bhai please, we have already talked about this. Rocky is Mahir bhai's brother not some random stranger. If the situation was reversed with Bela in Rocky's place and you in Mahir's, like this only you would react. Bhai please calm down a bit because your anger is not helping us any better. We are still fill in Mahir bhai about everything." Bani explained trying her best to resolve the tension between them.

"Fine, I will go get our drinks while you two explain everything to Mr Seghal here. And listen, even after hearing everything, he still doesn't believe on you guys will not stop me from breaking Bela's marriage with Rocky. She is my only sister, I don't want her to become a bait between two brothers." Babbal said getting up from his seat.

"What does he mean by that Veer? Why would my own brother will take revenge from me? And more over by Marrying Bela how will that be possible?" Mahir asked frustrated with Babbal's words.

"Mahir you need to listen to whatever I'm going to say with patience because it's very confusing and twisted. It all started on the day of Bela and Rocky's engagement." Veer started slowly.

 "Mahir bhai do you remember on Bela and Rocky's engagement day, he came at the last minutes just few seconds before the ring exchange. Didn't you wonder where he went to for straight three hour just before his engagement?" Bani asked.

"Rocky said he had an important meeting and couldn't skip it because it might cause loss in our business." Mahir murmured.

"Well Mahir your brother lied to you all. He didn't go for any official meeting, he went to meet his girlfriend at Jasmine Hostel." Veer said looking at Mahir.

"What? At hotel Jasmine Hostel? Rocky has a girlfriend?" Mahir asked shocked.

"Yes Mahir. I have seen him there with my own eyes." Veer confessed.

"Maybe you could have mistaken someone else for Rocky, Veer. Someone with his same physic." Mahir said looking distraught.

"Mahir even at first I too thought the same too and then I asked Shesha, his girlfriend about him, she denied knowing him. She said I don't know any Rocky or Mocky and then told me to fuck off before she calls the guard on me." Veer blurted.

"The girl told you about not knowing Rocky then how can be so sure the guy is Rocky and he is doing this for revenge?" Mahir asked confused.

"Mahir I didn't ask Shesha how she know Rocky? I asked her whether she know the guy who went from there wearing the sherwani. I did not mention Rocky's name even once but she kind of panicked and blurted out whatever came on her mouth. If she didn't know the guy then how does she tell his name which was never mentioned? Then I went to the CCTV room to clear my doubts. Here I have the CCTV visuals with me just so you know how I conformed my doubts." Veer said taking out his phone.

The footage showed Rocky, who was wearing his engagement Sherwani, walking out of the hotel room with Shesha closely behind him. They both were talking about something, Rocky had a smirk on his face while Shesha kind of looked sad and before leaving from the he kissed her on her lips. 

"I kind off had to bribe the CCTV operator for this video. I'm sorry to say this Mahir but your brother is a two faced snake." Veer said looking at Mahir.

"Mom and Dad, they trust him so much. They are so excited about his upcoming wedding. How could he do this to Bela, to us Veer?He is cheating his own family but why? How could he?" Mahir mumbled looking down, trying his best to control his tears.

"Mahir please be strong there is more to hear." Veer said making Mahir look at him.

With shaking hands Mahir drank the water kept on the table. He looked quite distressed with the news making everyone around him to feel pity on him. Keeping the glass back Mahir looked at Veer to continue.

"Mahir what I'm going to tell you right now is what Babbal bhai saw and heard on Rocky's and Bela's engagement day," Veer said looking at Mahir." Babbal bhai heard him talking to someone about how he had trapped Mahir's lover in the name of marriage to extract revenge from Mahir. His spoke his entire plan to that person unknown to the fact that Babbal bhai was listening to him."

"Plan? What kind of plan?" Mahir asked.

"Mahir, you won't understand if I brief you, so it is better you hear it from Rocky himself. Babbal bhai has recorded Rocky's conversation. It's better if you hear it yourself." Veer said forwarding his phone.

With trembling hands Mahir pressed the play button.

"-yes you are right. Mahir is a fool. He is sacrificing his love for his families happiness. Just because his mother wanted Bela as her daughter-in-law, he is sacrificing her-' The voice paused. "-I know right, he is an idiot. His mother wanted her to be her daughter-in-law, she never mentioned she wanted Bela to be my wife. Even if Mahir marries her, Bela's position in the house as the daughter-in-law of Sehgal's wouldn't change.

"Bela is the bait for me to destroy Mahir and Mahir's destruction is my second step in my revenge. Mahir's destruction will pain that woman so much. She will curse herself for destroying his life. Everyday Mahir will die little by little seeing her suffer with me. He will cry every night at the thought of her being in my arms at night. Now itself I have seen my desired effect on him. His addiction to alcohol is just the start and slowly this alcohol will change into drugs and then his death.

"Absolutely no. Once Mahir is destroyed to the extent of death, I will divorce Bela. She too should suffer for loving someone like Mahir. But before divorcing her I will make sure to have my own ways with her. Man have you seen her? She so fucking beautiful, even more that Shesha. If I had seen Bela before Mahir then maybe I would have kept her with me forever as my wife and the mother of my children. But now she is Mahir's girl and every time I see her, I can only see a girl who is in love with my fucking brother so once I'm done with her, you are free to have her the way you want. No one will question you.

"Her parents?" Rocky Chuckled. "Dude they are greedy people. They are literally selling her for collaborating Sharma industries with Sehgal. They won't even care if they get her death body abandoned on the road. Anyways let me get back to the engagement party where my beloved Bela is waiting for me. I want to see Mahir's pain with my own eyes. Ok man. Will meet you at Shesha's place tomorrow. Bye." 

With that the recording on the phone came to an end.
