I read in a communiqué about a convocation held by the department of police. They were back with their follies. I hoped they had something not contrary to reasoning this time. The convocation commenced the moment I arrived

‘Good day, members of the honorable land. The theme of this convocation is ‘Abatement of thievery in the land’’, a member said and walked away from the podium

Thence, a police officer went in for the convocation and said, ‘the police department want all members to be well assured that there shall be no thievery in the land anymore. Thievery has been concluded. We have made the land a safe and better place. We do not want any member to repine. We have created safety in the land. We have halted disarray in the land. We shall make those who have misconduct to disrupt the peace of the land penitent….’

The police must think we were preposterous to know not they were feeding us with fallacies. They did bore me each time. I left. Forthwith, I was proceeding to my boon companion’s abode thereby met with it halfway.

‘Figure’, I called

‘My companion, I’m delighted to rencontre you here’, it smiled
