I was traveling with Liam and we were in a store, looking for supplies. We were also low on food, so we were looking out for that as well. I made sure to give everyone else an update before we went out on our search so that they knew where we were exactly in case if anything goes wrong. We are walking in a store right now and we are putting medicine and bandages into our bags. "Be sure to get the pads as well baby," Liam says and I nodded my head. I grabbed the only package of pads that was left, but before I could turn and walk out of the aisle, I heard whispering.

I spun and kept up my guard, but when I saw a little girl peering from behind a counter, I relaxed. I slowly walked towards the girl and she doesn't look away from me. "Hello there little girl. Are you lost? Are you okay?" I asked, but the girl doesn't say anything. She just stared at me. I came closer and then I saw another pair of blue eyes. "Oh...is this your sister?" I asked and the girl finally responds by nodding her head.

"I have sisters myself. They are in the U.S. right now, but I'm trying to get to them. Are you girls okay though?" I asked as I was kneeling in front of them. They both shyly nodded their heads and I smiled at them. "Well that's important, yeah? Well, can you tell me where your parents are?" I asked and they looked at each other, but the eldest stepped forward and took something from her back pocket. It was a piece of paper and she was handing it to me. I took it and thanked her. I unfolded it and started to read it.

"Oh..." I said as I was reading. Their parents are gone. That's what the parent was telling me. They his these girls the best way possible before they left. They literally went on a suicide mission, so it's hard to tell if they're alive at this point or not.

"Well we are going to definitely take care of this. Do you want to come with my boyfriend and I? We have a whole group with us and you can definitely count on them." "New daddy?" The youngest asked her sister and I sadly smiled at her. "I'm sorry sweetie, but I can't take care of you like that. I'm sure that someone can though! We are all lovely people, so I'm sure that someone will own up to that responsibility." They both stared at me, but all that I could do was smile. "C'mon now. We can bring you to our base," I then tell them and offered them my hand. The eldest hesitantly took it and I smiled bigger at her. "Liam! We need to get back to base! We have kids here!" I called and a moment later, my boyfriend was rushing to get back to me.

"Oh, they're alive..." "Yeah, I was shocked too. Their parents are out there though. It's hard to tell if they're still alive, but they left this," I handed him the letter and he starts reading it.

"Oh..." "Exactly what I said. We have to get going though. It's not safe here. It's only a matter of time before danger comes in and attacks." "Yeah. I'll notify the others to get back to base," Liam says and we walked out of the store while Liam was talking to the others. "We are going to take great care of you girls. We'll make sure that you're safe 24/7. Now when we say cover, then you need to get behind us. These are monsters and we need to make sure that you're away from it," I tell the two and they understood.

We headed back and there were only a few times where they had to hide, but they were unharmed during our journey back to the base. We are like the second pair to arrive. Nick and Silva were the first to get there. "What's with the sudden ret- oh...look at you too!" Silva chirped and the girls immediately hid behind me. "They're a bit shy, but I'll talk about this when everyone gets here. In the meantime, we need to unpack. I'm sure that they're hungry," I said and she nodded.

The others get back one by one, and when everyone was here, I was quick to grab their attention.

"Hey guys. During my run with Liam, we spotted something at the store that is highly important," I tell everyone and they hummed. Louis and Harry were standing close to each other at the back, but I didn't care to bring it up. I just stepped to the side and the two little girls stood there shyly. "Their parents are likely... you-know-what, but we need to protect them so that they don't have the same outcome. I want to have someone to step up and take responsibility of their safety. I would, but I don't have that kind of focus yet. I do-" "I'll do it." I looked and saw Harry making his way to me.

"Oh...really?" "Of course. These girls are way too young to be going through this, and they shouldn't be like the other kids out there, so why not?" "New daddy?" The youngest asked again and I looked at Harry. "Whenever you feel comfortable to call me that, then I'll happily take that title. What are your names?" "Um...mine is Darcy and hers is Daphne." "Well it's nice to meet you two angels. My name is Harry. You already know Zayn and Liam, and I'll introduce you to everyone else further down the road, okay?" "Okay..."

I watched Harry bring the girls upstairs and I looked back at everyone else and they were still a bit shocked. Louis was just looking off in the direction of where Harry disappeared. Niall looked back at him and got up. He walked over to Louis and whispered something into his ear. I didn't know what it was, but it made Louis move. He just walked past me and up the stairs, following Harry.

Okay...

I walked up and I saw Harry talking to the little girls. I didn't want to cut in just yet because the girls are getting used to being around us right now... "I just want to know what this means for the two of us..." I mumbled to myself. I stayed put until the girls were walking away to the side of the room that Harry must've assigned as their little bedroom. Harry was still talking to them, so I still stayed put. I thought that I was in the clear of making myself go unnoticed, but then he turned and locked eyes with me.

"Why are you just standing there? You are free to come in whenever. Talk to the girls if that is what you were planning on doing," he tells me and I slowly walked up the remaining steps and I then walked into the room. "I wanted to talk to you first," I confessed and he hummed with an eyebrow raised. "Oh? What's on your mind?" He asked and walked over to his bag. I watched him go through it for a little bit, and I looked at the little girls that were already looking at me. "Um... this topic is rather private." "They are little girls Lou. Unless you are talking about steamy intimacy, then I think you are okay," he says and I looked at him again.

"Well, I did want to talk about us?" "What about us?" "Well... what exactly are we? Like you took in these two girls, so I feel the need to know this information." I tell him. He stopped moving and I watched as he slowly turned to finally face me. "I don't mean to put you in a particular spot, but I think I need to know where I am with all of this going on."

"Well I'll answer your question with another question. What are you to me? Hmmm? What do you believe you are?" "Well... I believe that I am your boyfriend..." "That you are, and what do you think that means when it pertains to these little ones?" "I don't know what I believe for that one." "Well, do you want to protect these two with every fiber that is in your body? Because they are really young baby. They don't deserve to go through something like this. With them being alive and unbitten gives me hope and I want to give them hope too," he tells me and looks at the girls.

"I don't want to give up on them Harry. I have sisters of my own at their age and I would never even think of doing that to anyone downstairs. They can't get tossed to the side or anything of that matter and they do deserve to live, so... yes. I will protect them with every ounce of my being," I admitted and that made my boyfriend smile.

"Well welcome to being 'parents'. Because you are now their caretaker like me," he says and goes back to his bag.

I looked over at the two little girls and I smiled at them. They smiled back at me and I walked up to them in a friendly manner. "Hi, my name is Louis. I'll also be making your protection my top priority. We are going to teach you things that naot a lot of little kids should know. This is for the better of your safety. We are mostly going to be teaching your big sister these things since you are..." "She'4. I'm 6," Darcy says and I nodded my head. "We are going to teach you how to handle a weapon so that you can protect your little sister if we are nowhere to be seen, okay?"

Darcy nodded her head and that is when Harry walked over to us. "The first thing I am going to teach you is the difference between malay and machinery. Malay are weapons that don't make a loud noise when in use. Meaning that it won't attract the zombies out there. Machinery are the weapons that make the most noise and will attract more attention. You should only be using these when you are in extreme danger. When any of us say use malay, then you pull out a weapon like this," Harry teaches them and places his axe in front of them.

"We will teach you how to use it properly and we will make sure that you are doing just that as safe as possible." "While he is more of a pro at weapons like these, I'll teach you how to use a gun. Only the small guns though. It will be like this until I believe that you are ready for a bigger gun." Darcy nodded her head and I looked over at Harry. "We aren't going to do this right at this moment, but we will start tomorrow. For right now though, we are going to get you girls a little more comfortable being around us. You are never going to get comfortable at one spot for long, so all that we need to tell you is that you need to know where home is at all times."

The two girls nodded their heads and Harry walked out of the room for only a moment and I just talked to the girls for a little more. I got to learn when their birthdays are and I reminded myself to tell Harry all about it when he gets back.

When Harry did get back to them, he had two sleeping bags and two pillows. "I say that the next time that we go out for a search, we should definitely look for stuffed animals and some clothes for the girls to fit into. I don't want them to wear the same thing every single day. We also need to get to a place where there is a good water supply." "That is going to be a bit difficult Hazza," I tell him and he nodded his head.

"I know it's something that will be hard to accomplish, but these are little girls. We need to give them a source of hygiene. Especially when one of them is only 4. Maybe we need to find some body of water or something. I just really want to take care of them Lou." "I get that baby, and I am not saying that we shouldn't look for it. We are just going to need to be extremely careful. That body of water could have a lot of those things over there. We just need to put an extra eye out."

"We'll do that and I'll make sure that each of you are safe," he says and takes my hand in his.

Never thought that I would get into a relationship, but I guess that I never thought of meeting someone like Harry...
