Two.

"Katniss! Katniss, wake up!" I hear a deep voice rumble in my ears. I open my eyes, and see we're still on the stairs. "We need to keep going." I stand on wobbly legs, and grip my head with one hand and my stomach with the other.

"Okay, I'm fine. Let's go."  I huff and skip one stair at a time, trying to catch up with Kenny and Alder who are a few flights ahead of us.

"Next left." Andler breaths before marking a sharp left into a doorway. Its a large conference room, with a desk and chairs in the center. A martini cart is stationed to the left. The chairs are left some of them pulled out some pushed in, some pushed to the side and left astray. Papers, binders, pens, and pencils are scattered on the table.

"What now?" I ask quietly. "Do we leave or try and hide here?" I crouch when I hear a loud thud from downstairs. Tears spring in my eyes, and I look at the men in front of me.

footsteps.

"Everyone hide." Andler instructs. My eyes dart around, and the footsteps become louder and closer. The windows. Their large enough to get a body through, so as quickly as I can; I open it. There's a half a shoot ledge, and I step onto it.

Fifty floors up, it's quiet menacing if you ask me. The air whips my hair around as I pull the window shut with a eerie click. The door opens, and I can hear muffled footsteps through the glass.

I hope the rest of the guys found a good enough spot to hide. If Kenny or Andler got taken it wouldn't matter to me, but if Gale got caught. I'd go running home without a second thought.  I push those thoughts out of my mind as I hold onto the small inch of stone. My hair whips around and I wait for the rest of the men to leave.

"All clear! Building is clear!" A deep voice rumbles through the muffled glass. "Next building!" He calls.

We wait for ten minuets after the footsteps and voices leave to make sure their gone. I peak around the window, and tap on the glass. Gale appears and opens the window, I wrap my arms around him and breath into his neck. "Are you okay?" He pulls back.

"I'm fine, we need to leave."

"This way." Kenny points to the door the other soldiers came through.

"What if they come back?" I ask.

"Leave the worrying to me okay?" He snaps looking into the hallway. "All clear, let's haul."

We run down the hallway, onto the stairs yet again, we get down them this time. We step onto the streets, and I wrap my hand around Gale's arm. "This way." Andler mumbles before taking a right in-between two tall buildings. My fingers wrap around the locket Peeta gave me, and keep walking until we stop at a huge warehouse.

He knocks three times, then twice, then four more times. The large garage door slides open, revealing a group of men. Most of them wear black muscle shirts, their hair slicked back and tattoos dance up their arms and chest.

"Who is he?" A large man grabs Gale roughly.

"Hey!" I shout. "Let him go!" I push the man off him.

"This is Katniss Everdeen." He says. "And he is her friend, Gale Hawthorn."

"He can't come along." The man growls. "We have to kill him, he knows too much already."

I push the man's hand again, and step between the two. "No one is getting killed, you got that?" I snap. "He's with me, he fought with me in the first war. You'd know that if you had a god damned brain in that thick skull."

Most of them men snicker, some of them keep straight faces. "A woman can't talk to me like that, maybe both of you should die."

"Can it." I snap.

"Alright guys, that's enough." Andler laughs at me. "Let's go talk to chief."

Gale looks at me with a hard expression, and nods towards Andler. "Come on."

We walk into a room, almost identical to the conference room we were in an hour ago. I take a seat next to Gale, and leave a seat between Andler and I. "Katniss, Gale, Hello." A short man smiles, he's round. He has long greasy hair, but no tattoos.

He holds his smile a long time. His jawline, and eyes lead me to believe that at one time he could have been beautiful. A heartbreaker who goes from one woman to another.

"How are you?" He asks us.

"Confused, ready to fight." I say.

"My name, is Henry Goodling. I'm the head of this operation per say." A loud rap on the garage door, and I jump from my seat. "It's alright, we double as a car dealership and garage to not be discovered."

An entire roars, and then the garage door shuts. "Just regular." He shrugs, then a gunshot. "Not .. Regular.." He stands and rushes out of the door. He comes back with a smirk, and sits down across from us.

"Who was it?" I ask.

"Just the man who gave you problems when you arrived, we don't tolerate back talk to women around here."

"So you killed him?" I speak loudly.

"We run things different around here."

"Cut the crap, I need to know what's going to happen after we leave. Where are we going?" I ask.

"After this, it's straight to district one, and right into battle. On the front lines, you'll be safe the whole time. Our plan is to get you, your friend, and everyone else home safely."

"How do you plan to do that?" I ask.

"Microchips." He holds up a small pieces of metal no bigger than a kidney bean. "It gets inserted at the base of the back of your neck so if they get you. We can get to you in time before kill you, or worst, torture you."

"What will you do if they catch us? Their air patrol is so much more powerful than us, and so is their army, marines, and navy. How will you get us back?" I press him for various answers.

He ponders for a minuet, then answers with such smugness. "Very carefully."
